Hello Everyone, fanfiction is going absolutely going crazy right now but I'm still here with a new chapter, I hope everyone enjoys this one.

Chapter 34

Kill to Save

Akame sprinted as fast as she could to Izuku's location. Worry filled her heart, seeing that body was not a good sign. She was worried she wouldn't be able to save him just like she couldn't save her sister. She wanted to be faster, so she glanced at Murasame. Maybe if she used her trump card… she shook her head as it wasn't going to help her, there were too many risks on using it.

She then saw the forest line as she then dashed forward, breaking the tree lines. She skidded to a stop as she felt an incredibly strong wind pushing against her as she had to cover her eyes. She slightly opened her eyes but slowly widened her eyes as she saw Izuku swirling in massive blue greenish electricity, black tendrils reaching to the sky. Izuku's eyes were pure white as energy flowed out of them.

She then saw one of the Four Rakshasa Demons, Ibara standing a few feet away from him. She then looked at Izuku as he saw Mura's dead body beneath Izuku along with Kensei's head. Akame's eyes shifted to horror as she looked at Izuku. Then she heard something that she never would hear ever from Izuku.

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

Akame felt her whole world change as she saw Izuku's rage but also it hit her. Izuku was pushed over the edge, first Night Raid betraying his trust, then trying to save Seryu but failed, and now… witness the deaths of the people who are close to you.

Akame realized that what was happening to Izuku, also happened to her. Losing trust to the Empire, failing to save her sister, and watching her friends die.

Izuku was going through the same pain as her. Izuku then planted his feet down causing cracks to erupt beneath him as it spreaded. He got into a low stance, ready to pounce towards Ibara.

"Izuku! No!"

The Vigilante vanished from his spot as Ibara was surprised too, not expecting the increase of speed. Ibara didn't know what happened next because all he felt was a massive force jab his stomach as Izuku punched him in the abdomen. Sending Ibara hurling through the graveyard.

Ibara stopped himself from going further as he looked up to see where Deku was but he was gone. Deku however was already beside him as he threw a left hook towards Ibara. Causing Ibara's mind to go hazy. He took a step back but then felt something tugging at him. He looked down to see a black tendril wrapped around his stomach.

Ibara looked at the enraged Hero. Deku pulled him back towards him and unleashed hell on him. Left and right, Izuku was relentlessly unleashing punches at him at incredible speed, making it look like after images. Ibara couldn't feel pain because of the experiments he went through but even so, his consciousness was slowly fading everytime he got hit.

Every punch sent a shockwave through the area. Akame couldn't even get close because of how strong Izuku was punching him.

Izuku then reeled in his right fist back as he delivered a fist straight to his chest, leaving an imprint. Ibara spat blood out of his mouth as he flew again. This time he couldn't stop himself from going any further. He kept bouncing on the ground over and over.

Izuku appeared behind him as he punched him square in the face as he drove him down to the ground. Creating a large crater beneath them. Debris and dust flying everywhere, Ibara tried to throw a jab through Izuku's face but the Vigilante's Danger Sense detected it as he moved his head to the left, not even grazing Deku at all.

Ibara was left stunned as he then felt another fist jab down on his face sending another shockwave through the area. Ibara then grabbed Izuku's shoulder as he then pulled his legs in and kicked Izuku in the stomach, pushing Izuku back.

Izuku stopped though as Ibara tried to run, Izuku grabbed him with Black Whip and reeled him back. But Ibara was resisting as he wanted to escape and try to find a way out of this situation.

Izuku turned around as he planted his feet down on the ground as he screamed in rage, pulling him. Ibara was then lifted off the ground and sent into the air. Ibara was stunned as he couldn't process what happened as he saw the moon above but then a figure appeared in front of him in an instant as white eyes of pure rage peered down on him.

Blue electricity circulated around him as a fist was formed as he saw the fist land on his face as he could only see Deku's rage.

He then was sent plummeting down to the ground at incredible speed, colliding against the ground. The impact of the collision was so great it caused a huge crater beneath him and a massive dust explosion, expanding the graveyard. Akame had to take cover by a tree, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. She had never seen this kind of rage from Izuku before. In fact she had never seen him this angry before. She then saw Izuku then plummet down towards the cloud of dust.

Once he landed the dust dispersed as she saw Izuku above Ibara as he stared down his foe. Ibara couldn't move an inch, his body was bruised and beaten to a pulp. Izuku's body was glowing brightly as electricity danced around him ferociously.

Izuku raised his fist as he wrapped it with Black Whip. He then slammed his fist down on Ibara's face.

He then raised his other fist and wrapped it in Black Whip as well as he then smashed his other fist I to his face again.

He did this over…

And over…

And over…

And over…

And over…

And over…

It happened so many times that Ibara's face was covered in nothing but blood as his face was completely disfigured.

Ibara's eyes were no more filled with joy and glee. They were filled with fear, the hero who only saved people, now snapped. Eyes filled with blind rage and the intent to kill.

Akame widened her eyes as she saw Izuku's hand warped into what seemed to be spikes on the end of his knuckles.

Izuku grabbed Ibara's neck with his other hand as he glared down at him. Ibara's mouth was quivering as he only stared up at a monster.

"Please…don't…I'm sorry…don't…" Ibara pleaded.

Izuku gritted his teeth, "How many have pleaded for their lives the same as you did!?" He asked.

Ibara widened his eyes in horror, "What did you do to them when they pleaded!?" Izuku asked.

Ibara said nothing as tears started to flow out of his eyes. "No…please!"

"This is for Kensei and Mura," Izuku was about to slam his fist down.

"Izuku!" Akame shouted as she then tackled Izuku off of Ibara's body as they rolled a few feet away from him.

Akame was now on top of Izuku as she looked at him. Izuku was shocked at her as his eyes started to slowly turn normal when he saw her.

Akame had a worried expression, "Please…don't…this isn't going to bring them back…this won't give you closure,"

Izuku widened his eyes as he stared at Akame's eyes, "Remember, you want to save people…not kill," Akame said to him.

Izuku slowly remembered what he said when he snapped.

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

Izuku's eyes slowly lost their light as Izuku gritted his teeth as he looked at Akame, "Akame…I…"

Akame hugged him as he felt hopeless, he felt himself being drained. His body couldn't move anymore, he was filled with dread and loss. He didn't… he couldn't save the people closest to him again…

All the exhaustion and stress caught up to Izuku as he then fell into a deep slumber. Akame looked at him as she had a saddened look, she saw the bags under his eyes as she couldn't bear to see him like this anymore.

She then heard movement as she turned to see Ibara standing up.

"Deku…"

Ibara's face was plumpt from all the beating he took from Izuku.

"I'll kill him along with you! Akame!" He shouted.

Akame unsheathed Murasame as she looked at him with a cold murderous stare.

"I won't let you torment him any longer…"

A dark aura surrounded Akame as she stood up as she drew out Murasame, the dark aura spreading through her blade. There, Ibara understood why Akame was called the Demon Sword.

"I'll eliminate you," Akame said as she vanished from where she stood as a blade was near his neck. His reaction was slow this time as he barely dodged the blade, he took a step back as he stretched his hand out. Sending a barrage of jabs at her, hoping to pierce her stomach but Akame effortlessly dodged every single jab aimed at her as she then lifted her blade and sliced off one of his arms.

Ibara widened his eyes, "Damn it…"

Akame pressed forward as she drew her blade to the side.

"Damn it-!"

Akame then sliced through his neck, sending his head flying in the air but she didn't stop there as she then cut his other arm off and his midsection, separating his upper body and his lower body.

His head dropped to the ground as it rolled, his lifeless eyes staring into the moon. Akame sheathed her weapon as she then looked at her work, she then looked at Izuku, soundly sleeping. Akame walked up as she then heard footsteps as she then was about to draw her blade but then she widened her eyes as she saw a familiar auburn hair with headphones on her head

"Yo Akame," Chelsea greeted her.

"Chelsea…" Akame uttered.

Behind Chelsea was a big man as he had a red bandana on his head. He had a stern face as he was wearing revolutionary army attire.

Chelsea looked behind her, "Oh this is Lugo, he's apart of the second battalion for the Revolutionary,"

Lugo waved at Akame as the katter returned the latter.

Chelsea then looked down to see Izuku unconscious, seeing the bags under his eyes. Her eyes sadden, remembering the look on his face when he saved her.

"Hey Lugo, can you carry him to the hideout," Chelsea said.

He nodded as he walked over to Izuku and carried him on his back, Izuku's head resting on his shoulder.

Akame made sure he was fine as she looked at Chelsea, "I thought Boss told you to rest," Akame said.

"She did but three and half months is plenty, plus…" she looked at Izuku.

"I kinda owe him a lot," Chelsea said with a grin.

Akame then looked at Chelsea's right arm, "How's the arm treating you,"

Chelsea lifted her right as it was a prosthetic arm now, she moved it around for a bit, "It's a bit clunky but it helps from time to time,"

Akame nodded, "I'm glad your okay Chelsea,"

Chelsea shrugged, "Yeah if it weren't for him," she pointed towards Izuku.

"Anyways we should head back," Chelsea said.

Akame nodded as the three then headed back but Akame stopped as she turned towards the bodies of Mura and Kensei, Chelsea noticed this. "Don't worry other scouts will arrive here to give them a proper burial," She reassured him.

Akame nodded as she then followed behind the two.

With Tatsumi

Tatsumi was pacing back and forth as he was done with his patrol with Mein. The katter was sitting on a couch as she looked at Tatsumi, "They'll be fine Tatsumi,"

Tatsumi stopped as he looked at her, "I just can't help but be worried, Izuku has been overworking himself and I don't know how to help,"

Mein just sighed as she patted the spot next to her. Tatsumi looked at her in confusion.

"Sit here damn it," she said.

Tatsumi walked over to Mein as he sat down next to her. "So why did you-"

She flicked him on the forehead, "Ow! What the hell was that for!"

"You are worrying too much alright, look I get it, everyone's worried about him, but if you continue to worry, you'll only get yourself killed, and we can't afford to lose anyone," Mein said.

Tatsumi nodded but then he felt Mein rub his head as he turned to her again. Mein's face was gentle and caring, "Izuku's going to be fine, Akame will make sure of that,"

Tatsumi blushed a bit as he smiled, "Yeah…I-"

The door swung open as the two separated from each other and looked at the door to see Chelsea standing at the door.

"Chelsea?" Tatsumi questioned.

The later looked at the two as she grinned a bit, "Did I interrupt something~?"

Mein coughed a bit, "N-No you didn't," hiding her blush.

Tatsumi then looked at her, "So what brings you here, I thought the boss told you to retire,"

Chelsea pointed behind her as Lugo walled in carrying Izuku with Akame behind him.

Tatsumi widened his eyes, "Izuku! What happened!"

Akame looked to the side with sadness. Mein widened her eyes as she cursed herself.

"Mura and Kensei were killed by one of the Four Rakshasa Demons," Akame said.

Both of them widened their eyes as they looked at Izuku.

Chelsea looked at him, "Lugo, put him on the couch,"

The man nodded as he walked over to the couch as he laid him there, making sure he was comfortable.

Akame walked over as she looked at Izuku's tired face. She remembered the face he had when he fought Ibara. The words he said in blind rage. Akame couldn't imagine if she wasn't there. Izuku could've taken his first life and it would change him for the worse. Akame was scared, she lost to many people and Izuku slowly changing was hard enough to watch but now, she doesn't even know that if he wakes up…

He'll ever be the same again.

Mein placed a hand on her shoulder, "Akame let him rest," she said.

Akame brushed his hair gently as she had a solemn expression on her face.

"I don't want to see him this way…" Akame said as she held Izuku's hand.

Tatsumi walked right next to her, "We won't let him drown alone, remember Akame, he's not alone. He's got us, he's got Night Raid,"

Akame nodded as she walked away to her room as Tatsumi looked at Izuku as he clenched his fist. He felt helpless that he couldn't help his friend.

They all left the resting hero alone but little did they know he was awake. As soon as they left him alone he got up, the bags under his eyes were much more noticeable. His eyes were now voidless of any light at all. Izuku placed his hand on his face as he covered his right eye. He gritted his teeth in frustration.

"I appreciate all of you…but I can't… I don't want to…" Izuku's Mind felt so burdened as he started imagining Night Raid dying in his arms, Akame dying right in front of him. Fear started to spread in his mind.

"I… can't risk you all… to die…"

He started to breathe heavily as he still couldn't get the image out of his head. Kensei's head and Mura's body in his arms. He widened his eyes as he started to hyperventilate. He imagined the worst…

Losing all of his friends…

"Damn it…" He croaked in pain.

The Next Morning

Crash!

Boom!

Crack!

Thud!

A body fell to the ground as multiple unconscious bodies laid waste on the streets as Izuku stood over them. He then stumbled a bit as he felt his balance start to shift. Izuku shook his head as he kept walking ahead.

"I'll wipe out all crime before it hurts anyone… before it hurts them," Izuku kept going forward.

Stopping any crime from happening, the moment some criminals saw him they ran away in fear. Others were brave enough to fight him but alas, he was too much for them.

The clouds covered the sky as it was about to pour down on the district. Izuku's mask was even more ragged and dirty, he aimlessly walked as he terrified the criminals and even the civilians.

They saw him only to not see the hero anymore but a monster out in the rain. The cold voidless eyes struck fear into the criminals. Two people watched him above a building, observing the Vigilante.

"He seems exhausted from all the fighting," Mez said as she curiously looked at the tired hero.

"This gives us a chance to avenge Ibara, he will repent for his sins," Shuten smashed his hands together.

Mez licked her lips, "I going to have a lot of fun with Deku~"

Izuku then felt droplets on him as he looked up to see the rain coming down. He didn't bother to look away as he just peered into the heavens.

"Mura…Kensei…I…"

Izuku then felt Danger Sense go off as he dodged a punch to his left. Izuku then looked at his assailant as he then grabbed his arm and launched the man towards a wall, making a crack. Izuku looked at the man once more only to see him unconscious.

Izuku kept walking as he continued to walk in the rain. Izuku's Mind was hazy as he looked ahead. He didn't feel Danger Sense go off. He looked off in the distance as he saw a cliff on the outskirts of the district. Izuku then launched up as he used Float and propelled himself over to the cliff.

The rain poured down, Izuku stood on a cliff as he peered over the city, he couldn't get it out of his head. His failure, his uselessness, all of it was crushing him.

Izuku felt this feeling before, the time he was in middle school, the time he couldn't do anything because of the way he was born. And now he had the power to do what he wanted, what he dreamed of for his whole life… and yet… he didn't save them. He had the power to save and yet again, he couldn't save the people who were in his reach.

Izuku kneeled down as he looked up in the sky, feeling the rain hit his face, the wet drops covering his face as it reflected his own feelings. Izuku's doubts grew evermore, wondering to himself again and again.

Is he worthy?

He kept thinking about it over and over until it plagued his mind. He gritted his teeth as he was now on all fours. He looked down at the ground as drops started to hit his shadow. They were not the rain, it was his own tears. He remembered Kensei's resolve when they were captured, how they didn't give up.

Izuku wanted to keep fighting, if he stopped fighting, then Kensei's and Mura's death would be in vain but nothing could drown this pain in Izuku's heart, nothing could drown his doubt. Not even the rain could drown his sorrow. Izuku grabbed his chest with both of his hands as he laid his forehead on the ground kneeling even further on the ground. Tears streamed down his face as it blended in with the rain.

"Grrrgh…"

He gritted his teeth as he wanted to stop crying, he needed to. He promised All Might he wouldn't cry anymore and that he'll get stronger. But the pain of not saving the people close to him consumed him.

The rain was loud as it covered the city, the dark rain clouds masked his sadness. No one heard it, no could hear it, all they heard was the rain falling down. But the only person who could hear was Izuku alone. Izuku felt his ears ringing as the helplessness got to him, the feeling of unworthiness kept washing over him.

He felt like the useless 'Deku' once more.

"AAAAAAAAHHHH!" He cried out in agony and sorrow.

With Akame

Akame awoke as she saw Eri right next to her as she gently covered a blanket over her. She looked out the window as it was cloudy. The sun was completely covered by the clouds as she saw it pouring outside of her room. Akame walked out of her room as she saw Najenda and Susanoo outside of her room.

"Boss? Su-san? What's wrong?"

Najenda looked at Akame, "It's Izuku, he wasn't seen this morning,"

Akame widened her eyes as she rushed down stairs as she saw the couch empty. She didn't see him anywhere, she knew where he was, going to the city and saving people.

She then saw a little note on the table as she picked it up and opened the crumbled letter.

"Night Raid…I… I'm sorry I couldn't save Kensei and Mura… the people who were in my reach… I couldn't save them, I can't risk losing you all as well. Even if I don't trust you… even if I separate myself from you guys… you all mean so much to me…especially you Akame, so please…don't come near me…"

Akame frowned as she then rushed upstairs but was stopped by Najenda.

"Akame wait,"

"I have to go find him! He's not in his right mind right now, he could-"

"Do you even know where to find-"

"Does it matter!" She shouted, her hair covering her eyes.

Najenda looked at Akame as the assassin looked at Najenda with determined eyes, "I have to go help him. He's hurting so much that he's completely destroying himself, he says he fine but he's not,"

Izuku's smile was something so precious to her that every time she saw it, it would make her feel secure. The smile that would lift anyone up.

She missed it, the bright smile that she saw every time she saw him. She wanted to see it again. She wanted to see the light in his eyes once more. Even if he was not the same person when they first met but still.

"I want to see his smile again, I want to see the light in his eyes again!" Akame walked past Najenda.

"What you're asking is impossible, you know that? This world changes people, you've seen it yourself," Najenda said calmly.

Akame stopped as she clenched her fist, "I'll be your hero…that's what he said,"

She turned to Najenda again as she stared down on her while the latter looked up.

"You're right, this world is changing him but I won't let that happen anymore…not to him"

Akame placed her fist above her chest, "I'll kill the darkness of this world in order to save him!"

Her eyes were resolved as she then turned around to head to her room to change and find Izuku. But once she got up the stairs she saw everyone dressed and ready.

"Us to Akame, we can't afford to lose another friend," Sheele said.

"Yeah! Greenie is coming back to us," Leone brought her fist up.

"You aren't going alone Akame, we all are going to save him," Mein said.

"We can't lose another friend, this time we're going to help him this time," Lubbock said.

Tatsumi walked up to Akame as he brought his fist out, "He's helped us through tricky situations and he's paved the way to a bright future…so this time it's our turn to pave the way for him…this time will be our turn to bring him out of the darkness!"

Akame smiled as she bumped fist with Tatsumi. She then heard Najenda walking behind her as she turned to see Najenda smiling.

"Izuku Midoriya may not be an assassin but he's our Auxiliary, Akame I now know your resolve," Najenda looked at her with gleaming pride.

Akame widened her eyes as she smiled. Najenda looked at every single member of Night Raid.

"Night Raid, our operation is in three days but a new mission has appeared, this is a top priority and this mission must be successful at all cost,"

Everyone looked at Najenda smiling and grinning. Akame looked at Najenda with resolve, "Our Mission is-"

In Kyoroch Main Plaza

"Please let me go! I didn't do anything wrong!"

"No can do~ you defied the Peace Foundation and now we must bring you enlightenment" Mez said as her long blonde hair was drenched in the rain.

"Don't play with your food for that long Mez," Shuten said.

"Gotcha~!"

The woman widened her eyes in horror. She closed them as she awaited death but it never came. Mez widened her eyes in glee as she saw an approaching figure coming towards them. He slowly walked towards them, black tendrils waving behind him as his mask was even dirtier than before. His eyes hollow as the green emerald eyes were even more voidless.

Shuten smirked, "Looks like the bait worked, he did arrive,"

Mez smiled in glee as she blushed a bit, "Oh my God! He's even cooler in person,"

The woman who was being held down looked at the Vigilante but she didn't see a hero… she saw a monster, slowly making his way towards them. Each step was loud as you could hear the wet thugs everytime he took a step.

His emerald eyes glowing as green electricity danced around him.

"Let…her go," Deku said as his voice was low and raspy.

Shuten whistled, "No can do, she must repent for her sins, and in order to do that she must feel the wrath of-"

Shuten didn't even finish as Izuku flashed right beside him, grabbing the woman in their custody, away from the two Demons. Both of them were shocked at the speed as they turned to see Izuku putting the woman down but he stumbled a bit as he had to use the black tendrils to support him standing.

"Go…now…" He said.

The woman nodded as she started to sprint. Shuten dashed towards them but Izuku got in the way as they clashed fists, sending shockwaves through the area. The rain dispersed for a moment before falling on them again.

Izuku then felt Danger Sense again as he turned to see Mez right beside him. Izuku shot out Black Whip to restrain her. She was shocked as the black tendril wrapped around her.

Shuten then used his other arm as he swung it. Izuku then jumped over it as he rotated in the air as he roundhouse kicked Shuten square in the face. Shuten skidded across the plaza. Mez then slipped out of the black tendrils. Izuku looked to see his tendrils were wrapped in some kind of goo.

Izuku then felt a jab on his abdomen as he jumped back and held it. He looked at Mez to see her covered in goo.

Izuku felt Danger Sense again as he turned to his left to see Shuten about to punch him. Izuku brought his arms up to block it, feeling the force hit him back. Izuku skidded back as he slowly came to a screeching stop. He lowered his arms as the two stood side by side.

Izuku was about to attack but then he felt the exhaustion hit him like he was hit with a wrecking ball. He almost fell to the floor face flat but caught himself with his hands.

Shuten laughed, "All that fighting caused you to collapse, your body can't take anymore. I say it's about time to end you, Deku,"

Mez pouted, "Aww~ I was just having fun too."

Izuku looked at them as his vision was starting to blur. 'Come on…! Get up! I have to find… a way…to beat them!"

They slowly approached the hero as Izuku struggled to get up as he had one hand on his knee. 'Get up!' Izuku shouted at himself.

"It's over hero-"

A beam of light shot through his chest as Shuten widened his eyes in shock. Mez turned as she saw a hole through his chest. Izuku widened his eyes as he recognized that shot from. He looked towards a glinting light as he was shocked. It was moving away in the distances as if something was carrying the glint.

"Shuten!"

"Graaa…gh, damn…it-"

He was then split in half as a man cladded in gray armor and holding a spear with a red blade. Izuku looked at the Incursio user.

"Tatsumi…?"

Mez jumped back, "Who-" but in an instant she was cut in half by a pair of giant scissors.

She turned to her head to see Sheele behind her with a cold expression, "Sorry…"

Her upper half then splatter on the floor as Izuku looked at Tatsumi and Sheele standing over his assailants.

"Tatsumi…? Sheele…? What are…"

He then saw something falling down from the sky as it landed. He widened his eyes as he saw Najenda, Lubbock, Susanoo, Mein, Leone, and…Akame.

Izuku slowly stood up as he looked at Night Raid before him, "Why…are you guys here…were your targets…these two…"

"They were in the way," Leone said.

Izuku was confused, "Then…why are you here…"

Akame stepped forward, "For you…Izuku,"

"Why…" Izuku asked.

"We're here to help you Izuku, you're grieving, man, take some rest," Tatsumi said.

"I…"

Izuku slouched a bit as he was still feeling woozy from all the fighting.

"I'm…fine…I promise…"

"No you're not! You are one step away from collapsing!" Mein scolded him.

"Even so…I have to keep…going…even if I can't feel anymore…"

"Izuku, you're going too far please," Sheele pleaded.

Izuku got into a low stance as he looked at them. "Please…I'm fine…so get out of my way!" He charged up One for All as energy burst through the area, causing the wind to push past them.

They didn't even flinch at the wind as they looked at Izuku. Akame held something in her left hand as she held it tightly.

"Even if you try to push us away Izuku, we won't go," Akame said.

She put her fist in her chest, "You mean that much to us!"

She looked at his voidless emerald eyes with her determined ruby eyes.

"Our Mission now…is to save you!"
