It had only been a day since Audrey Bourgeois took over as Mayor and it felt like all of Paris was turned upside down. With her new security robots, Audrey had the entire city covered so the heroes couldn't go anywhere without them getting netted.
The team was currently looking at the broadcast of Nadja's interview with Audrey from their Den, "Starting today, super-offenders Monarch and the Miraculous Heroes are outlawed," Audrey declared.
"But will this last long?" Nadja asked.
"Of course," Audrey answered before she realized what she said, "Uh. Of course not. We'll be holding a 'decromatic' election. A 'decratomi'-" She tried to say but couldn't say a word right, "I will speak later in a meeting. In the meantime, my new robots will be upholding Audrey's law in Paris," She finished.
Sam growled in frustration, "I really hate that lady," He groaned.
"And not to mention that the entire city streets are filled with those security bots," Molly added while pressing a button that showed a camera viewing the streets with security bots, "This makes patrolling impossible."
"And that's not even the worst of it, the whole city's turned against us," Jacob said, bringing up the reports of people giving their opinions on Audrey's new reign.
"Finally, someone beautiful like us represents us," A rich woman said with her friend with a smug smile.
"Superheroes are useless anyway. They've never been able to stop Monarch," The busman Marinette and her mother met said, "And who knows? Maybe it's because they've been on his side the whole time,"
"A woman like her a city hall?" A woman asked with her hand on her hip, "That's absurd. She'd do a better job at judging dresses,"
"She can't be worse than her husband, especially since she doesn't have to do everything for that little witch of the daughter she has" A man commented Chloe winced from that as Zoe comforted her.
"Turn it off," Daniel ordered as Max turned off the news as y all looked down in dread as he spoke, "Look, I know things are bad, but we can't give up now. The fight isn't over so long as we wear these Miraculous!" He declared.
"Miraculous which is useless against the head of law in Paris," Nathaniel reminded, "You said it yourself Daniel, this isn't an Akuma we're dealing with this time,"
"If go over there, we'll look like the supervillains if we try and stop her since there's no Akuma to deakumatize her," Adrien added.
"Hey, even when there are no supervillains or Akumas to handle, I'm sure someone will handle the situation," Daniel assured them.
"Maybe. How about authority figures?" Nino suggested.
"But in case things go south, we lay low until we figure out our next move and carry on with our mission: Stopping Monarch and getting the Butterfly Miraculous back," Marinette finished.
"And until then, we wait, lay low, and find a solution," Kara said.
"And then we do our thing," Daniel finished as he gave a gentle smile, "But we need to do something in case things don't turn out well, but what?" He asked with a thoughtful look.
They all think for a moment to try and figure out of plan to take care of Audrey before Marinette gives a smile, "I have an idea," She says as they all listen to her.
The next day, they all, sin Adrien, waited at the school with protest signs as they held up the signs, "Gotta say, Marinette, whether you are heroes or civilians, you and the girls sure know how to get take a stand," Sam commented.
"It's a team effort," Marinette said with a proud smile before they saw Adrien walking in as he saw his friends holding the signs and he gasped in surprise.
"Whoa," Adrien breathed as Nino came up and placed a hand over his shoulder.
"This was an idea from Marinette, Alya, and Mylene," Nino explained as Marinette walked up to them, "Those girls got skills, dude,"
Adrien gave a warm smile at Marinette, "That's for sure, Nino," He said fondly as Marinette gave a smile.
"We're not letting Audrey call the shots," Marinette declared determinedly.
"And from what I can tell, this will definitely get her attention," Molly stated confidently as they saw Audrey's limo coming up, "Huh, speak of the she-devil,"
"Mother always receives my calls," Chloe said while holding her phone.
As Audrey got out, she was wearing not only the mayor's former sash but also a golden one with the controller laptop on it as she walked up to the stairs while the news crew followed her and the drones were now golden color.
"Thanks to me, who rid you of those super ruffians, Paris is going to be super fab again," Audrey said while looking at the camera, "You'll all get to do whatever you want to do and say whatever you want to say,"
Audrey said before she and the news crew turned and saw the heroes chanting with protest signs with Principal Damocles and Ms. Busiter, "Reinstate Miss Bustier the great!" They chanted while repeating the same words.
"What is this?" Audrey demanded.
"Well, since we're free to say whatever we want to say, Mother, we're refusing to go back to class until Ms. Bustier is reinstated as our teacher," Chloe said firmly.
"Oh, Zoe, do you really think I care?" Audrey questioned before she stopped for a second and spoke, "Oh, sorry," She said to the camera while walking up to her daughters, "It would seem like my daughters and their libertarian friends who'd rather protest than study, intend to take the school hostage in order to force me to reinstated an evil teacher with the support with a teacher who thinks he's a superhero," She said.
"Hoo-hoo!" Damocles hooted as he did his owl pose before he realized what he had done and remembered that they were being filmed, "Uh, oops," He said embarrassedly while standing behind the crowd.
"We're not taking the school hostage," Kara said with her hands on her hips.
"We're just protesting," Marinette added.
"They're not respecting 'decromancy'," Audrey continued on as she spoke wrong again, "'Detraumacy'," She spoke again as she groaned in annoyance, "You know what I mean,"
"Yeah, we know what democracy is, but you obviously don't," Ivan said with a look.
"Which is why you better hold an election ASAP," Mylene added.
"These two are threatening me also?" Audrey questioned while looking at the camera, "Ooh. That's not exactly 'demacrotic' of them. People who threaten the mayor go straight to detention, you know," She said to the two.
"Mother, you need to come to your senses," Zoe said while trying to reason.
"Oh, but I never lost my senses," Audrey said while giving a sinister smirk, "And I'll prove it to you. I remember that Ms. Bustier is still fired," She said before she corrected herself, "Uh, I mean, I did what had to be done to protect the children and my daughters from such negative influence," She said as she walked across the students and saw Daniel and Chloe holding hands while Marinette and Adrien are doing the same.
"Ah. Strider, Dupain-Chen. My turn to tell you both a secret," Audrey said before she stopped as Daniel could've sworn he heard someone muttered quietly before Audrey spoke again, "I've changed my mind. I'll tell you both later. Revenge is a pastry best served cold, right, baker girl?" She taunted them as she walked off and they glared at her.
Daniel then has a familiar feeling, "Why do I have a feeling that she's hiding something?" He asked himself, thinking Audrey was up to something.
They all looked around and they then noticed that Mylene and Ivan were missing as their signs fell, "Wait. Where did Ivan and Mylene go?" Kara asked.
They all looked around, seeing that two of their friends were missing and there was no trace of them. "Something funny's going on here," Kim said in suspicion.
"Yeah, something is up," Max added
A little bit later, the team was on a rooftop while looking at a giant golden statue of Audrey, "Are we still doing nothing?" Phoenix asked.
"Well, it's ugly, but Monarch had nothing to do with it," Ladybug said.
"That we know of," Dragold muttered, "Something about this whole thing just stinks,"
"By the way, has anyone seen Pigella, Rooster Bold, and Caspian?" Terrapin asked while looking around, "They haven't arrived yet."
"That's weird. They never miss a group meeting," Caprikid said in suspicion.
"Five of our team have suddenly disappeared, that's not right," Purple Tigress said.
"Something very strange is going on," Hydrake added while placing a finger on his chin.
"Let's hope they are okay because I have a feeling that things are about to go bad," Dragold said seriously.
They all broke away to detransform as Hydrake, Purple Tigress, and King Monkey landed together. "Naptime./Stripes off./Wind Silent." They said, transforming back to normal.
"You think any of them are okay?" Jacob asked as they walked out.
"I hope so. Rose may not be made of glass, but she can get frightened," Juleka said in concern.
"Heh, maybe they just held up with some parent trouble and-" Kim suddenly stopped in midsentence as Jacob and Juleka turned to see he had frozen.
"Kim?!" Jacob said in surprise.
"What's wrong-" Juleka was cut off as she was frozen too.
"Juleka!" Jacob said as he heard something sneak up behind him but not quick enough as something jabbed him in the back before he, Juleka, and Kim were portal-ed away.
The next day, Daniel was walking in a street as he noticed that there were hardly any people around in the area.
"This is weird, how did Paris go from the City of Love to a Ghost Town?" Daniel asked with a raised brow before he felt something at his foot.
He looked down and saw it was a familiar pair of glasses, "Alya's glasses?" He said in confusion as he picked them up, "Alya wouldn't go anywhere without these," He said in confusion.
Daniel dialed his friends but saw some were unavailable, "Okay, First, Mylene, Ivan, Marc, Rose, Sam, and Alya, now Jacob, Juleka, Kim, Max, Nathanial, and Kara? What the heck is going on?" He asked himself as he dialed up Luka, "Luka, you there buddy?"
"I'm here, Daniel. What's up?" Luka asked.
"Have you seen Juleka or the others? I've been trying to call them but they're not picking up." Daniel explained.
"No, in fact, I was going to call and ask you the same. Juleka never came home yesterday," Luka explained as Daniel was getting really suspicious, "And it's not just her, Adrien just told me that some other people have disappeared, including, Alya, Molly, and Felix."
"Seriously, even them? This is really bad," Daniel said as he then looked down the street, "Well, I'm gonna go find Marinette and see if she's seen anything."
"Great, let me know if-" Luka said before he suddenly froze in mid-sentence.
"Luka? Luka, what's wrong?" Daniel asked as he saw a familiar portal as Luka dropped his phone while being pulled into it and Daniel grew alarmed, "A Voyage portal, and it looked like Luka was hit by Venom but how…" He trailed off as he got a terrible thought, "Oh no, did Monarch figure out our identities again? Did he capture Molly and the others?" He said in worry.
Daniel then quickly dialed Adrien, "Adrien, are you there?" He asked frantically as Adrien appeared on the screen.
"I'm here, what's-" Adrien tried to ask.
"Adrien, we've got a problem!" Daniel explained quickly, "The others have suddenly vanished, I was on the phone with Luka and it looked like he was paralyzed by venom and then pulled into a Voyage portal, except I couldn't see what hit him. But I think I already know," He said grimly.
Adrien gasped in worry, "Monarch?! But-" He asked in shock and confusion.
"I don't know how he did it, but if he has our friends, then he just got all the Miraculous back!" Daniel explained before he gasped, "Oh no, Marinette!" He called out.
"What? What happened?!" Adrien asked in worry.
"Get to Dupain-Cheng Bakery, fast!" Daniel said as he ran down the street, "If Monarch did find us out, we need to make sure that Ladybug isn't included!" He stated.
"I'm on my way!" Adrien nodded as he ended the call.
"Huanglong, Heaven's Ascend!" Daniel exclaimed as he transformed into Dragold and ran across the rooftop towards the bakery.
Once arriving at Marinette's neighborhood, Dragold transformed and entered the Bakery, and saw it was totally deserted, "Marinette! Mr. and Mrs. Cheng?! Anyone here?!" He called out in the bakery, only hearing an echo.
Daniel looked to his right and saw Marinette's helmet, "Marinette would never go riding without this," He said while holding it.
Daniel then entered further into the bakery to see if they were upstairs as he entered the living room, seeing no one and he looked up at the stairs in great concern as he knocked at the door, only to receive silence as he entered Marinette's room, seeing no one was in, not even Tikki.
"Oh no," Daniel muttered in dread as he looked at her bed and then to the sewing box where Marinette hid the Miracle Box, "If Monarch did find out about her," He muttered, knowing that if Monarch found the guardian he'd find the box too.
He then entered the code that Marinette showed him as the sewing bow opened and revealed the red and black spotted Miracle box, "Thanks the ancients, the box is still here," Huanglong said in relief as Daniel picked up the box.
"But this doesn't make any sense. If Monarch really did find out Marinette is Ladybug, he would've known the Miracle Box was here too. And with it empty he would've destroyed it," Daniel said in confusion.
"So then, perhaps it means that Monarch doesn't know of your identities after all," Huanglong summarized with a relieved smile.
Daniel smiled in relief too before he realized, "But then, what really happened to them? Our friends have disappeared, along with many of the other people of Paris, and I know I saw a Voyage appear behind Luka before I lost contact," He said in confusion as they heard the door open and Haunglong quickly dove into Daniel's pocket as he moved to put the box away.
"Daniel, I'm here!" Adrien called out as he entered the room, making Daniel relax as he moved the Miracle Box back into its hiding place, "Did Monarch manage to…" He asked in great concern.
"Don't worry, the good news is I don't think Monarch captured the others or found out their identities," Daniel started while showing the Miracle Box, "The Miracle Box is still here. If Monarch did capture Marinette, knowing she's Ladybug, he would've taken it or destroyed it,"
"Oh that's good," Adrien said in relief as Plagg came out.
"And the bad news?" Plagg asked.
Haunglong then appeared, "The bad news is, there appears to be another akumatized villain with the Miraculous powers to capture them and other people around Paris by using the powers of the Horse and the Bee, and considering it's invisible that would also include the Miraculous of the Rooster." He explained.
"And we have no idea who the Akuma is or where they are now," Daniel finished as they all gave a thoughtful look as he locked the sewing box, "Whoever is catching them is pretty quick and pretty much has all of our team." He said.
"But who could do that? There aren't any more Akumas in Paris since…" He trailed off as realization came to the two boys and Kwamis.
"Audrey!" The four realized.
"Okay, this time, we're going to get to the bottom of this! Time to pay the new 'mayor' a visit!" Daniel declared seriously as they all rushed out of the room and out of the bakery as they ran towards City Hall.
After a bit of jogging, the two made it to city hall as they rushed into the building, "Hiya!" Daniel called as he kicked the office's door open, "Audrey! What have you done to our friends?!" he demanded as he and Adrien entered the room.
"Ah, the fashion boy, Agreste Jr, and Zoe's nobody boyfriend, Strider," Audrey said while typing into her computer, "It took you both long enough, I was about to call," She taunted.
"First of all, it's Chloe! Not Zoe!" Daniel corrected while slamming his hands on the table, "And second, where are our your daughters and our friends?!" He demanded.
"Tell us where they are now!" Adrien demanded with a glare.
"Oh, what? You'll punish me?" Audrey questioned while looking at her nails, "I couldn't care less and there's nothing neither of you can do," She said as the two boys gasped, "Otherwise, Adrien, I'll tell that Dupain girl that you've been lying to her that you didn't tell her you're going to London to obey your father like the little puppet you are to him," She added as Adrien gasped in shock. "That's right, I know everything,"
Daniel went wide-eyed from that, "Wait, Adrien, you're leaving Paris?" He asked in shock as Adrien looked down in shame.
"I-I've been wanting to tell you guys, but I didn't have the time to say it," Adrien said in shame.
"But it could remain our secret if you two do as I say," Audrey said, "I mean, I'm sure there's a deputy mayor or vice mayor for each of you," She offered.
Adrien and Daniel glared at her, "You're out of your mind, lady," Daniel growled with his fist clenched.
"I can have anything I want. Even you two," Audrey as she smirked, "Unless you want to get your dear mother so fired that she'll never find another job in Paris again?" She said as Daniel growled and clenched his fist.
"You know, Audrey, you can mess with us all you want, but when you mess with our family, that's going too far!" Daniel yelled as he slammed the table and Audrey didn't even flinch.
"So you know what, I'm gonna tell Marinette and the others the truth, and you can't stop me!" Adrien declared bravely.
"Well, if you miss your friends, then I grant you this wish to join them," Audrey said as two bots appeared behind them.
Daniel saw this when he turned his head, "Whoa!" He exclaimed as he rolled out of the way of the Venom stinger from his drone while Adrien wasn't so lucky as he got paralyzed, "Adrien!" He called out.
"Detention for this boy!" Audrey ordered as a portal opened up behind Adrien as he pulled into a red place behind him.
"Adrien!" Daniel yelled as reached to him but only managed to take his ring before the Portal closed. "No!" he yelled before he turned and glared at Audrey, "What did you do to him?!" He demanded.
"Well, as you low-lives children say in school, he was sent to detention, but not the one you thought of," Audrey explained with a smug look. "And Now it's your turn!"
Another bot appeared behind Daniel as he managed to quickly grab it and toss it to the other as they crashed into each other, "Sorry, but you're not gonna put this guy in the cellar," He retorted as he managed to grab a chair and threw it at Audrey, who ducks under the table as it hit the wall and Daniel took the chance to run out of the office.
Audrey stood up with a glare, "That worthless fool! Get him!" She ordered the drones as they either disappeared or went out of the office after Daniel.
Daniel ran across the hallways, out into the streets, and into a building, as he quickly shut the doors and sighed in relief, "That was too close," He said.
"Tell me about it," Daniel blinked in surprise as he looked into his pocket and saw Plagg squished next to Huanglong, "You got any cheese?" He asked.
"Plagg?" Daniel asked in surprise as Plagg and Huaglong flew out, "Wait, how did you get into my pocket? Didn't get you taken along with Adrien?"
"When Adrien was paralyzed, I managed to get away in time when you managed to slip the ring off him," Plagg explained, "But seriously, got any cheese?"
Daniel sighed as he looked at the black cat ring, "Great, not only are the others captured, but Audrey's been akumatized and I'm the only hero left." He said solemnly as he clenched the ring, "What am I gonna do?" He asked himself.
"You have to stand up and fight this crazy control freak and rescue our friends, Daniel," Plagg said.
"Uh, the second one I have no problem with, but Audrey has an army of security bots with Miraculous powers, and I don't even know where she took the others," Daniel pointed out the issue of their plan, "How am I suppose to do that?"
"Leave that to me," Haunglong said as he focused, and surfed through the city before turning to Daniel, "The Detention is at the City Sport's Stadium, I can sense the other Kawmi's energy there!"
Daniel nodded he looked at the ring, "Huanglong, can Zodiac Miraculous unify with other Miraculous?" He asked.
"They can, but merging my Miraculous with Plagg's? I have no idea what could happen, you must be very careful," Haunglong warned as Daniel put on the ring.
"No pressure," Daniel joked as he stood ready, "Huanglong, Plagg, Unify!" He exclaimed as the two Kwamis went into their respective Miraculous and Daniel changed into his Dragold costume but with Cat Noir details, including black cat ears and clawed gloves, green slit eyes, and details as he had a leather black belt tail with white hair on the end.
"Central Nekorus, ready to rock!" Nekorus announced as he looked at his costume, "Wow, this feels unnatural," He commented at his fusion form as he opened the door and jumped on the rooftops as he made his way to the stadium to rescue his friends.
Nekorus jumped across the rooftops until he looked over to the Stadium and saw a huge white twisty and turny hallway that curved around in a loop that kept saying, "I will always be there for you, you can count on me," Audrey's voice said before the area turned red, "Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous!" It said before it turned white again as it repeated the process.
"Okay, that's just low," Nekorus said with narrowed eyes as he looked into the hallway and saw people walking in it with sad expressions with security drones guarding them, "All those people," He muttered before he saw his friends, along with Adrien and Chloe, "Guys!" He said as he jumped down to the stadium and ran towards the endless hallway.
Nekorus stopped at the edge of the stadium roof as he gave a serious look and took a deep breath and looked at his hand, "Let's hope this works," He said to himself before he raised up his hand, "Cataclysm!" He exclaimed as dark destructive energy formed around his hand with gold-colored electricity before he aimed it against the hallway as a bolt of black and gold energy shot out, "Whoa!" He said in surprise as the bolt struck the hallway.
This instant the whole white hallway turned vaporized in gold sparkles as everyone was immediately shocked by what happened, "Everyone out, go now!" Nekorus ordered, pointing to the exit.
The people all then cheered excitingly while also thanking Nekorous for freeing them as they quickly rushed to the exit while Daniel's friends stayed behind and looked up at him.
"Dragold?" Chloe asked in shock as Nekorus jumped down to them.
"At the moment, I'm Nekorous," Nekorous said with a smirk.
"Dude, that was awesome! Loving the new combo!" Nino complimented.
"And wow, that did more damage than my Cataclysm!" Adrien said in awe. "How'd you do that?"
Nekorus looked at his hands, before shaking his head, "But no time to figure that out, we gotta move! Plagg, Huanglong, divide!" He exclaimed as Nekorous turned back into Daniel and took off the ring Miraculous, "Here, Adrien. I believe this belongs to you," He said while giving the ring back to Adrien.
"Thanks, man," Adrien said while accepting his ring back as Plagg appeared and brought out a piece of cheese, "Here, Plagg. From a power like that, it must've taken so much out of you,"
"You have no idea, and it's been millennia since a Miraculous was unified with a Zodiac Miraculous," Plagg said as he quickly started eating the cheese.
"No time for history lessons, we got a mayor to overthrow!" Marinette called out seriously as she looked to her friends, "For too long we've waited for someone to action, to take a stand against Audrey, but now that we know she's been Akumatized, we finally have the excuse we need to go out there and stop her tyranny! Miraculous Heroes, time to Transform and Rise up!" She declared with her fist up.
They all cheered as they raised their fists as well, "I thought you never ask, girl!" Alya called out as they all rushed out of the stadium.
Daniel stayed behind as he looked at his hands in thought, "Marinette once said the limits of the miraculous powers are up to their holders," He said to himself, remembering how his miraculous managed to give Plagg's Cataclysm a power boost, "My Miraculous gives me Domination over the other powers, if I can cancel them out, then maybe." He wondered before he heard Sam's voice.
"Daniel, come on!" Sam called as Daniel snapped out of it and gave a serious look before running off to join his friends to stop Audrey's reign.
A little bit later, the heroes run towards the Louvre as they hear Audrey speaking through the mic, "Everyone will agree that within a few days, I've made Paris better than it was before. Utterly better. So, if there were an election today, who would feel justified in running against me? No one," She announced.
The heroes all landed on the rooftop while facing down at Audrey as in the crowd they saw Chloe at the front, "Now we step in, right?" Caspian asked eagerly.
"Yes, we step in," Dragold nodded. "But we're not gonna be caught by surprise again. Ladybug?" He asked with a knowing tone.
"Sure thing. Luck Charm!" Ladybug exclaimed as she tossed her yo-yo up and it created a handbag.
"A handbag?" Phoenix asked in wonder.
"It looks like Chloe's," Viperion noted. "How's that gonna help us?"
"We'll figure it out later," Rena Rouge said.
"And just for insurance, Cataclysm!" Cat Noir exclaimed as he brought out his powers.
"Let's go," Carapace exclaimed as he and the other heroes all jumped toward Audrey.
Dragold didn't move as he thought of what the Lucky Charm meant, "Chloe's handbag?" He muttered as he looked towards Chloe, "Wait a minute," He said to himself.
"So, we all agree there's no need to hold an election," Audrey said with a smirk.
"No, we disagree," Ladybug's voice called out as Audrey turned and saw her and the Miraculous team, sin Dragold, on top of the Louvre as the crowd cheered for their heroes.
"You see? I was right all along," Audrey spoke to the crowd, "They have no respect for 'detromacy'." She said before she started stuttering her words. "And-And-And th-they wanna use their superpowers to steal my power,"
"The only power that has value, Audrey, is the power that we use for the common good of the people," Vesperia stated.
"And you only use your powers for yourself!" Pigella exclaimed.
"Who wants an election to get rid of a dictator?" Carapace exclaimed as he raised his hands.
One by one, the crowd all raised their hands as Audrey looked in shock at what was happening, "It's time we teach you how to say the word correctly, Audrey," Rooster Bold said with a smirk, "DE-MO-CRA-CY."
Dragold then came up behind the heroes, as they slid down the glass and saw Audrey smirking and gasped in realization, "You guys don't!" He called.
"What?" They all asked before shields from the power of the Turtle Miraculous suddenly appeared and trapped the heroes in them while Dragold was the only one left again.
And then the second they hit the stage, Ladybug's lucky charm touched the shield as it disintegrated, which made her gasp in shock, "Guys, the Lucky Charm has disintegrated!" She exclaimed.
"Let me try," Cat Noir said as he pressed his Cataclysm down on the shield, but it was canceled out, "My Cataclysm isn't working either."
"Leave this to me, Uproar!" King Monkey said as he made a squeaky toy and put it to the shield but it was canceled out too, "Mine's aren't either!"
"Clout!" Purple Tigress exclaimed as she punched the shield, but her powers were canceled out as well, "What?!" She said in shock.
"Let me try, Voyage!" Pegasus exclaimed as he managed to open a portal, but the second it appeared, it closed instantly, "This is impossible!"
The others tried to use their powers but got the same results, even Viperion's Second Chance, Hydrake's Foresight, and Minotaurox Resistance, "We've got nothing!" Hydrake said.
"It's as if the power of protection have been mixed with the power of invulnerability to create these prisons," Ladybug theories.
"Miraculous powers combined?" Rena Rouge questioned with a shocked look.
"Monarch wanted us to figure out Audrey was Akumatized!" Phoenix exclaimed in realization. "He wanted us to come here and use our powers, and make sure we could run to detransform!"
"He led into a trap!" Argos growled, kicking himself for not realizing it sooner.
"So, who's got all the power now? I do," Audrey taunted, "I said no one could have superpowers because they're all just for me!" She declared as she pressed on the laptop and the robots appeared around the stage and the crowd.
Dragold growled and jumped down, "Dominate!" He called before Audrey pressed a button and Dragold's power hit a Robot instead of one of the heroes, "Oh no," Dragold muttered before Audrey kicked him in the back and he fell in front of the people.
"Dragold!" The heroes called in worry as Chloe gasped in fear.
"Ugh, should've seen that one coming," He grunted as he struggled to stand as the Robots surrounded him.
"Time for you to be like the rest of your ridiculous friends," Audrey mocked as she was about to press the button and the heroes saw they were about to detransformed.
In the audience, Gabriel smirked and turned to Tomoe, "Stand ready to regain control of the robots. Dragold and the others are about to transform back," He informed as Tomoe ready her laptop. "I'll take care of de-akumatizing Audrey. Then the Miraculous will finally be ours," He said as Tomoe smirked.
"I won. I told you that the Bourgeois are the greatest," Audrey taunted as Dragold struggled to get up while the robots were still aiming at him while looking at the trap heroes, "There's nothing you heroes can do now because I'm akumatized!" She announced.
Ladybug gasped in worry as the heroes looked at each other, "Dudes, I hate to say but she's right, we're pretty much stuck here," Carapace stated hopelessly as he was on his last shell triangle.
"We've been waiting for someone to take a stand but it doesn't look like anyone has the strength to," Ryuko said in defeat.
Dragold growled as he looked at Chloe and she looked back in worry, "Chloe, if there was ever a chance to prove you're not the bad girl you used to be, this is the time" He stated as she looked at him in confusion, "As Audrey's daughter if people see you taking a stand against her, it will inspire that everyone has to act!" He said as he was near his time limit.
Chloe looked at him in concern while thinking about what he said as before each of the heroes reached the end of their time limit, "They're gonna transform back." She said in worry, as the heroes started to detransform as their costumes were slowly fading.
"Oh no!" Pigella said in fear.
"This is it!" Caprikid said as he covered his fingers.
"No! Not now, not yet!" Ladybug exclaimed as she tried to stop her detransformation.
Dragold saw his coattails fading as he clenched his fist, "No! Not this time! Keep it together!" He called out as he focused with all his strength as his detransformation was slowing down.
Chloe saw this, "Dragold, your detransformation. It's slowing down," She said in shock.
Dragold saw that his detransformation was slowing down and turned to his team, "Guys, you can resist it too! We need to buy some more time!" He told them.
The heroes all looked at each other as they nodded and focused hard on themselves as their detransformations slowed down as well while Chloe gave a determined look as she stood tall before the crowd.
"Everyone! Dragold and the others only have a few seconds left before they transform back!" Chloe called out to the crowd as they all turned to her, "They won't be able to be superheroes again! Which means it's time for us to fight back without them! I know it seems impossible but we can do it! Because we've been doing this whole time!" Chloe said as the people listened to her, "Sure we might not have Miraculous like them, but that doesn't mean we're not strong! Despite Monarch's constant threats we always gave the heroes strength by lending them our support and never giving into fear, that's the strength my mother wants you all to not see!" She said told them.
From Gabriel's pocket, Nooroo looked at Chloe in admiration and awe, "Incredible." Nooroo whispered.
"I am Chloe Bourgeois, daughter of the former Mayor of Paris, and I will give all of you the strength you need to overthrow my mother from her reign of power! So let's rise above the fear and save our heroes and Paris! And show her that she'll never take our freedom!" Chloe declared as the crowd started cheering as they all pushed through the fences and attacked the robots that were surrounding Dragold.
"What?!" Audrey asked in shock as Gabriel and Tomoe watched at the people rushing past them.
"What is going on here?" Tomoe demanded before she was pushed a bit and dropped her laptop, "No!" She exclaimed as she was about to reach it, but Gabriel grabbed her arm and dragged her out.
"Come!" Gabriel called out as he and Tomoe ran to a side of the building as they watched the revolution.
"Attack them! Get rid of them!" Audrey ordered as the robots were trapping some of the people, but some either dodged or used the robots to fire at the others as the heroes watched in awe.
The robots that were surrounding Dragold as Chloe came up and whacked them away, "Keep fighting Dragold! You have the Miraculous of the Golden Dragon, the other Miraculous's powers are yours to command!" She told him, "Meaning if you concentrate maybe you can't just cancel out powers but also,"
"Maybe do just the opposite!" Dragold finished with a smirk as he concentrated, "The people aren't giving up, so I won't give up! I am the Holder of the Dragon King and I bow to no one! And I won't detransform back ever again!" He declared as he was covered in a golden glow as his costume reformed and his Miraculous recharged all by itself, "Oh yeah, long live the king, baby!" He smirked as he stood up.
The heroes watched in awed at Dragold's sudden restoration of his powers as Dragold jumped backwards and landed in front of his friends, "You guys need a hand?" He asked with a smirk.
"Dragold? How did you?" Hydrake asked as he and the others were shocked by what just happened.
"My powers have evolved, and so will yours, the limits to our powers are only the limits we put on ourselves!" He declared as he held his hands together building up a large amount of energy, "And it's through that I've pushed past my time limit!" He declared as he sent beams of energy into the other heroes' prisons destroying them as they were in awe.
"And if I can keep going, then so can all of you! You all just have to focus your powers!" Dragold encouraged as his hands started glowing again as he shot them at the heroes as they felt energy surge, "I can give you all the boosts you need, but you have to do the rest! You have to keep fighting!" He told them.
"You're right, the people haven't given up yet so we won't give up either!" Cat Noir stated with a smirk and the others did the same as the golden energy flowed over them.
Ladybug then concentrated, feeling the power of the Dragon King flowing through her, "And we won't detransform back ever again!" She yelled as her body glowed pink and gold while her costume reformed and her earrings regained their spots.
"Never again!" The Miraculous Heroes declared as they concentrated hard and they glowed in their respective colors with some gold energy flowing as all of their Miraculous's Stripes, spots or colors returned and the team's costumes were fully reformed.
Dragold stopped giving them energy as he gave a proud smile to his team.
From his hiding place, Gabriel glared at them in shock and confusion, "How are they doing this? Why aren't they transforming back, Nooroo?!" He questioned his Kwami.
"What do you think? You don't transform back either," Norro pointed sarcastically.
"I am an adult!" Gabriel reminded the Kwami, "Not transforming back is a power belonging to grown-ups!"
"That's not it, Master. You don't transform back because you don't put that limit on yourself," Nooroo stated, "Dragold just evolved his powers to give them the strength they need to break their limits," he added with a smirk.
"No!" Gabriel growled as he and Tomoe ran away, not wanting to be spotted by the heroes.
As the heroes no longer had to worry about detransforming they went all out with their powers, "Clout!" Purple Tigress declared as she punched one robot away before turning around to another, "Clout!" She said with a smirk as she did again and again.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir shouted, destroying a robot, "Cataclysm! Cataclysm! Cataclysm!" He repeated, destroying the next three robots.
"Uproar!" King Monkey said as he threw a banana at another robot, messing up its powers as Pegasus used Voyage to send it away, "Aw yeah! This is what I'm talking about!" King Monkey declared.
"Wind Dragon!" Ryuko declared, swirling the robots up in a tornado as Rooster Bold used Sublimation to give him incredible close combat skills.
Caspian used Tiger Gripper to crush one robot as he smirked, "Ohh yeah, Tiger Dasher!" He yelled as he rushed around the area and destroyed the robots feels so good to use our powers like this! He declared.
Audrey saw more of robots being shot away or tumbled, "You're ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" She called out as Chloe and the Miraculous Team all surrounded her as she gasped in shock.
"It's time for this to stop, Mother!" Chloe yelled while pointing at her mother. at her mother.
"The Megakuma must be in her sash," Ladybug said as Chloe nodded.
"No more evil-doing for you!" Chloe yelled before she snatched the sash and ripped it in half as the Megakuma flew off while the remaining robots returned to normal as the people trapped in shields were freed.
Ladybug opened her yo-yo and twirled it around, "Time to de-evilize!" She exclaimed, catching the Mekakuma in her yo-yo, "Gotcha! Bye-bye little butterfly," She said as the butterfly flew away and Audrey returned to her original attire.
Everyone glared at Audrey as Ladybug sighed and opened up her yo-yo to give her a magical charm before Andre stopped her.
"Leave it to me," Andre said while looking at his now ex-wife, "It is time I corrected my own errors," He said determinedly as he dragged his wife away.
"Let me go! You can't touch me!" Audrey demanded as Andre kept dragging her, "I haven't lost yet! I still have my robots!" She yelled as she was dragged out of sight.
The Heroes smirked in victory and prepared to do their signature victory line as they all turned to Chloe, "You too Chloe," Ladybug said with a smile.
"None of this would've been possible without you," Cat Noir added.
Chloe was surprised as she looked unsure, "But, I just gave a few words, it was Dragold who gave you the power," Chloe said uncertainly.
"But you encouraged me to keep fighting when all seemed lost. If it wasn't for you, the others and I wouldn't have unlocked the next level of our powers," Dragold said as he gestured for Chloe to join in, "Now come on, Chlo, join in," He said as the other encouraged her as well.
Chloe gave a smile as she brought her fist to the others they all formed a circle.
"Pound it!" They all exclaimed together.
"Well team, time to scatter so that Ms. Bustier can celebrate with her students and their friends," Dragold said as they all nodded and scattered so they could transform back.
The Zodiac Team is now hiding behind the walls as they're prepared to transform back, "Wow, man! That was amazing! Now we don't have to worry about the cool-downs anymore!" Caspian exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah, this is one good upgrade," Phoenix said while looking at her hands with a smile.
"The ultimate upgrade," Hydrake added with a prideful smile.
"And not to mention, we can now use our powers over and over again when needed," Terrapin added with a cheery smile.
"Now we don't have to worry about de-transforming next time we see Monarch," Dragold declared, "But for now, let's transform back and-Whoa!" He was cut off when a Burrow time portal opened behind them.
Then stepping out was a familiar-looking rabbit hero, "Zodiac Team! There you are!" Bunnyx said with a smile.
"Bunnyx?" The 5 Zodiacs said in surprise.
"Care to help me save all of time from Monarch?" Bunnyx asked them.
Caspian raised a brow, "Wait, I thought Monarch already lost the Rabbit Miraculous." He asked.
Bunnyx nodded, "He did, or he will, so long as you guys help Minibug and Kitty Noir get it back from him." She said as the Zodiac team looked confused, "Oh, the only reason Monarch lost the Rabbit Miraculous was that you 5 went back in time and helped the past Ladybug and Cat Noir snatch it back from Monarch and give it to mini me!" She explained.
"Ohhh," The Zodiacs said in understanding before they nodded to each other, "We're in!" They declared.
Bunnyx smiled as she opened another portal and the Zodiac Team followed after her. And then, no more than a second, the Zodiac Team all exit the borrow with serious expression.
They looked up and saw the Fireworks, "Heh, looks like we didn't miss much." Phoenix said.
"Come on, everyone's waiting for us." Dragold said before closing his eyes, "Huanglong, Heaven Down." He said as he transformed back.
"Xuanwu, Water Stilled."
"Nán Fāng, Fire it Out."
"Quin Long, Wind Silenced."
"Baihu, Earth Crumble Down."
Once they were all transformed Sam looked to his friends, "Come on, Marinette and the others need to know what we found out." He said.
"Sam's right. Now that we know who Monarch really is, our fight just got a lot more personal." Molly said as the other three nodded and rushed to where they saw the rest of their friends.
Marinette turned and waved to the five approaching, "Daniel, Molly, Sam, Kara, Jacob!" She called as the others turned. "Over here!" She called out.
"We're coming, Marinette!" Daniel called out as they rushed over to them. "Hope we didn't miss anything." He said.
"No, you guys are right on time. Because we're finally free from my horrible mother," Chloe said as she held Daniel close to her.
"Looks like Paris going to be in need of a new Mayor," Alya said with a smile.
"Ooh, but how are we gonna do that?" Kim asked.
"Well, we'll just put democracy in motion," Ms. Bustier said with a smile. "The citizens are going to hold an election,"
"That's a great idea," Mylene said with a smile, "I'm sure that the people of Paris would love to have a mayor like you,"
Ms. Bustier gasped in surprise by that as she gave a small smile, "But I can't. I'm just a teacher," She said humbly.
"No, she's right. You'd be amazing," Marinette said with a smile.
"There's no woman I would vote for more," Chloe said with a smile as Ms. Bustier smiled back.
"We'll help you with your campaign Comrade-I mean Ms. Busiter," Nino said as Ms. Bustier gave a joyful smile at her students.
"Oh, this calls for celebration," Rose cheered.
"Perfect timing," Zoe commented.
"Yeah, the end-of-the-school-year dance is tonight," Molly said.
"I have to go home and change," Marinette said to her friends and Adrien as she walked off. "I'll meet you all back on the Eiffel Tower,"
Adrien watched her go solemnly as he gave a smile, "Same with me. See you later," He said as he rushed off.
"Wait, Adrien!" Daniel called out as Adrien was already far off from them as he sighed, "This will not be good for either of them," He muttered.
"What do you mean?" Juleka asked before she noticed something, "Hey, and where's Kagami?" She asked as they noticed Kagami was gone too.
Daniel sighed solemnly, "That's the thing, Adrien won't be coming to the dance," He said while bowing his head, "He's leaving Paris," He revealed.
"WHAT?!" They all yelled in shock at what he said.
"What do you mean Adrien is leaving?!" Alya questioned.
"I mean he's going to London! His father is forcing him to go there to keep his family Brand going, and he's leaving tonight! And no surprise that Kagami is going too!" Daniel explained before turning around and rubbing his head, "Ugh, it's such a mess." He sighed.
The others looked at each other in concern, knowing Marinette would be crushed after learning about this, "Wh-what are we going to do?" Rose asked in worry.
Daniel sighed as he looked down, "I, I don't know if there's anything we can do," He said hopelessly as the others followed his example.
Felix however frowned in determination before he walked away, "I'm not letting you ruin anymore lives, Uncle." He whispered to himself.
A little later, the team, all dressed up, waited at the foot of the Eiffel Tower with solemn expressions as this victory felt very bittersweet.
They then saw Marinette riding on her scooter, in her princess dress as she got off and walked towards them with Black Mascara streaks under her eyes.
They all frowned in sympathy at the girl, already knowing what happened, "Hey girl," Alya said solemnly.
"He left, didn't he?" Luka asked sadly.
Marinette nodded slowly as she tried to speak, "I-I-I, I finally kissed him, a-a-and now he's, he's…" She stuttered as she tried to hold her tears back but failed as she started sobbing while covering her eyes.
Alya and Chloe approached her the two hugged her as she cried on their shoulders and the others huddled around her in a group hug, and shedding some tears for the loss of their teammates and closest friends because of their parents' cruel wishes.
