Salutations fellow lifeforms its me back again! I know annoying right? Anyway last chapter was pretty good in my opinion not the best but alright, let me know what you thought. I think the next few chapters will pass time pretty quickly but no promisies just at the time I think thats what I may do. Anyway I hope you love this chapter and I'll talk to you later.
I opened my eyes blinking out the sleep I felt great I could tell it was early in the morning but then I remembered something that dragon hasn't invaded my dreams in awhile I couldn't tell if it was a good sign or a bad one. Probably both. I stood up on top of my ledge I flicked my scarf around my neck and carfully jumped down onto the floor trying not to make a lot of noise luckliy no one woke up. I walked to the exit of the cave and paused for Amber to run right infront me I did a little celibration.
"Oh Coyote!" Amber yelled running up to me.
"Hey Amber" I replied.
"I just wanted to let you know, I am going to leave JMA" she said after a bit. I took a bit to reply I didn't know how to react to this information.
"Huh really, what for?" I asked finally.
"Some family stuff" she said sadly. "Oh I got to go now, bye I hope we meet again" she said.
"Me too..." I replied as she went walking away, we waved to each other and then she ran down the hall. Wait what just happened? I know that Amber was leaving but something just didn't feel right. I was confused I didn't know what to do after that so I turned around and went back to my leadge.
"Hey man wake up" I heard from my light slumber I opened my eyes to Seaweed shaking me.
"Huh?" I asked lifting my head off the ground.
"Dude we got 3 days for prom, I need you to help me ask Mountain out" he said quickly.
"What do you mea-" I asked but I remembered last night this prom thing was gonna be weird. Seaweed shrugged and dragged me off the ledge. "What are you doing?!" I yelled getting off the ground.
"Helping you" Seaweed replied.
"So whats your plan?"I asked.
"Glad you asked!" Seaweed said. "Anyway I just need you to distract Mountain untill Artic gives you the sign, then you have to bring Mountain to the library and I'll have the rest ready" Seaweed said.
"Artic?" I asked.
"Oh yeah shes a pure white Icewing she will say, do you got pineapples when you need to bring Mountain" he replied quickly. I never thought Seaweed would have something so planned out. "Ok go find Mountain and keep her as far away from the library as possible" Seaweed said pushing me out the exit.
"Now!?" I said as he was pushing me. He nodded quickly. I had no choice so I ran down the halls in hope of finding Mountain. I ran past the Great hall to catch a glimpse of Mountain I turned back and walked into the great hall.
"Oh hey Coyote!" Mountain said as I walked in.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask she was holding streamers and other bright colored items.
"Just setting up for that prom thing" she replied.
"By yourself?" I asked I thought more people would be helping.
"No just wanted to get a head start!" she replied quickly laying more things on the table infront of her. "But after I'm done wanna come with me to the library?" she asked. Ofcourse she would be planning on going to the library thats just my luck.
"Oh yeah sure" I replied, surley we would take long enough for Artic to come and find us. "And I'll help" I added walking over to the table.
"Really? That would be great!" she replied. I nodded.
"So what do we need to do?" I asked I didn't know the plan for how to make the room look.
"I'm gonna fly up and throw around some streamers, can you hang these flowers" she said handing me paper flowers they were multi colored with blues and pinks and other colors mixed in, they also had pins to hang on the walls. I nodded and took the fake flowers. I walked over to the first wall and started putting flowers evenly spaced along it making it look the best it could the job was easy I had almost finished the 1st wall when Artic ran in.
"Oh Coyote do you know where pineapples are?" she blurted. I realized how dumb that code sounded definetliy a Seaweed code.
"In the Prey Center I think" I said giving Artic a wink to show I understood. Artic ran out with a nod. "Hey Mountain can we head to the library right now?" I asked after a few seconds.
"Huh? Why?" she asked still putting streamers around.
"Oh I forgot to return a scroll and I really need help bringing it back" I replied I knew it was a dumb excuse but I guess Mountain bought since she landed and started to walked the way of the library. I followed as she began to pick up the pace. Soon she ran into the library I stood in the library and waited for the scene to occur. Rose petals fell from the roofas banners fell reading "Will you go to prom with me?" Seaweed jumped down infront of them. Moutain stood beaming at all that was happening.
"So will you?" Seaweed asked after a bit. Mountain composed herself and nodded the two jumped into each others arms. I felt weird about standing here I didn't know why. They held on for a little longer and then said something to each other I couldn't hear and Mountain left probably to find her friends. Seaweed ran up to me.
"Wasn't that great!? It went perfect!" he yelled he was super excited I guess I would be to.
"Yeah it was" I replied.
"Now I got to help you!" he said. I didn't know what he ment at first. "You know help you find someone?" he said. I laughed at the idea I had no one I wanted to ask out anyway. "Cmon you got to have someone?" he continued.
"Truly not" I say I couldn't think of someone I thought of like that.
"Well okay if your sure" Seaweed said giving me a mischevious look. I had a feeling he was gonna try and play match maker Seaweed was pretty predictable. I give him a wave and walk back to our winglet room. Star, Mountain and Rain are giggling in the corner I couldn't guess why. The others payed little attention to me as I jumped up onto my ledge as I started laying down Clay walked in.
"Hey Coyote!" he said.
"Oh hi" I replied taking intrest.
"So I just wanted to let you know, I think we can take off the bandages!" he said, I was surprised I was glad to take these bandages off. I jumped down from my place and stood by Clay. He unwrapped it untill my cheek was showing.
"Anyone got a mirror?" I asked, Clay held up one I looked at myself to see about a 4 to 5 inch scar across my cheek it kind of looked cool in its own sort of way. Clay left a bit after Seaweed walked in to though he talked to me before anyone else.
"Woah!" he yelled. "Thats awsome!" he continued.
"I guess" I replied. After that interaction Seaweed laid down in his area I did the same. Again something had to ruin my rest.
"Coyote can I talk to you?" Star said.
"Yeah, what do you need?" I asked my eyes still closed.
"No I mean out there?" she replied I opened my eyes to see Star pointing to the hallway.
"I guess sure" I said. I stood and jumped down by Star. We walked farther down the hall. We walked right past the music room when Artic ran out crashing into me.
"Oh my bad!" she yelled. I stood up Star looked nervous, unsure I didn't understand. "And Coyote can I talk to you after you two are done?" she added. I nodded surely this wouldn't take to long anyway. With that Artic walked down the hall.
"So what did you need?" I ask turning to Star.
"Oh um y-yeah" Star said stumbling over her words. I waited for her to continue. "So I was wondering if you wanted to go to that party with me." she said quietly looking at the floor. It took a moment to process what she had just said, were my ears tricking me? "You can let me know later" with that she walked off the floor was looking very intresting now. Then I remembered Artic I should probably see what she needed. I looked up and wondered through the halls I was distracted I didn't realize the oncoming dragons untill I ran into a big looking SeaWing they growled at me and walked off.
"Hey Coyote" Artic said walking up behind me.
"Oh Hi" I replied turning around it seemed Artic had got her hands on some jewlery because she had a saphire necklace, deep blue rings and two dimond earings. "Where'd you get all that?" I asked, last time I saw her she didn't have anything.
"Just some stuff from home" she replied holding up her talons showing me her rings.
"So what did you need?" I asked quickly I was a little on edge about what Star had said.
"Oh yeah so I was wondering if you wanted to meet up at the prom party?" she said quickly she didn't seem nearly as nervous as Star.
"I-I well I d-don't" I stumbled what was happening did I go insane? I didn't know and for some reason I didn't want to find out.
"If you can't decide you can let me know later" she said. I nodded and then she walked away her jewels clinking as she walked. I stood there thinking of the last 10 minutes. I wanted to talk to Seaweed but Star would probably be at the winglet cave just as Seaweed would be. I thought about it and decided I would go maybe she would be somewhere else. I walked for a bit untill I could see inside our cave luckily Star wasn't there. Mountain and Rain were though Seaweed was sitting in his space he winked at me and ran over. We walked out of earshot and Seaweed spoke up.
"So you're going with Star right? Or are you going alone?" he said. I took a second to reply.
"Well thats the problem Artic also asked me... Wait how do you know abou that?" I asked.
"Oh well you just missed Star they talked about" he replied pointing to the other 2. "... Artic asked you!?" he said a little to loud.
"Dude quiet down" I replied quickly.
"So what are you gonna do?" he asked.
"I just said thats the problem I don't know what I'm gonna do" I replied.
"Well you gotta go with one of them" he replied. "Well we got 2 days, we should go to the scorpion den to get some threads to wear. Then you can decide" he added. I nodded it was a pretty good idea but I didn't really want to visit the scorpion den my mother had warned me about the dangers of that place. I realized it was starting to get late so we both went to our spots, looking at Mountain and Rain I had a feeling they heard though I hoped they didn't. I wanted to head out early tomorrow so now was a better time than ever to sleep. I laid my head down trying to block out the noise around me for a few minutes till I drifted off to sleep...
"Dude we should go now" Seaweed said shaking me. How did he wake up earlier than me? After a few seconds he practiclly dragged me out the door.
"What are you doing?" I asked rising from the floor.
"Saving you" he replied. I gave him a confused look, what was this dragon talking about. "The others and Star were waking up" he explained. I was annoyed why would Seaweed care so much. "Oh and I got a tip that there is some merchant selling a variety of stuff" he added.
"Wait how long have you been up?" I asked, at this point I didn't know if he was even from this world.
"Well I didn't sleep at all" he replied, just as I thought. "Cmon follow me" he added walking away. I would think he would be bringing us to the merchant. A few inutes later he brought us to the cliff. A Sandwing stood behind some sort of makeshift stand with many different items from clothes to even food.
"Why hello there" the Sandwing said giving us a wave.
"Oh hey you got any clothes a sophistacated style maybe?" Seaweed said quickly I didn't agree on his choice of words or how he pronounced. "Sophisticated" but what I was truly suprised by was how he got right down to the real questions knoing him we would have had a long chat.
"Yes I do would you like to have a look?" he said pulling a rack of clothes out from behind a curtain. We nodded and I took a closer look at his display. Some of those accessories caught my eye. I saw some white fabric bands with gold accents. Also a bow tie similar to my sandy color with brown spots kind of like a splatter effect. It could replace my scarf for the party. I had decieded I would probably purchace those. But then I realized with Seaweed dragging me I had not brung any money.
"Hey you decided on anything?" Seaweed asked out of the blue.
"I didn't bring money" I replied.
"Thats fine" he replied. "I brought extra" he replied. (OH BTW 1 gold = 1USD so yeah)
"Hmm if your sure, so that bowtie and those fabric bands" I said, I wasn't sure why he was so eager to pay. Seaweed then picked out his own fabrics and such.
"So all that would be about 100 gold" the Sandwing replied. Seaweed nodded and payed the dragon. We took our clothes and walked back in to the school.
"Wanna see if anyone is in the room and try on these new clothes?" Seaweed asked. I nodded it was an okay idea if no one was at the cave. A few minutes of walking later and we arrived. Luckily we were the only ones there so I brought my items in. I removed my scarf and tied the bow tie around mt neck as well as slipping on the bands. Turning around I saw Seaweed with lots of metal band aorund his arms with blue streaks. He also had some type of fabric around his neck I didn't reconize it.
"Now its time to be serious" Seaweed said out of nowhere. I gave him a confused look before I realized.
"Oh yeah your right" I said. Though I think Seaweed was being a little weird about this.
"So who do you want to go with" he asked.
"Well I don't know" I replied.
"Is there someone your leaing toward more?" he continued. I thought about it then I thought of an idea, it would be impossible to choose one.
"What if I didn't go with either?" I said.
"Hmm I knew you would say that" he said after a bit.
"Huh?" I replied in confusion.
"Your just to kind you couldn't just choose one of them, so you can hang out with me and Mountain" he said. "Oh and shes alright with it to" he added. I nodded. "And yes she has already let the other 2 know" he said. I didn't know what to think he was so sure on what I would say, he already got it done before I decided.
"So it starts tommorow night right? The party I mean" I asked feeling more relaxed. Seaweed nodded.
"We should probably hide these" Seaweed said I knew he was talking about the clothes so I replaced my bow tie with my scarf and removed the bands. I hid them in my chest for later.
"What do you want to do now?" I asked turning around.
"Prey center?" Seaweed replied. I nodded, so we went on our way through the halls. We saw groups of dragons probably preparing for the party though I didn't really listen soon we arrived at the entrance I chose out a juicy looking chicken while Seaweed went to look at the fish options. We ate quickly I could tell it was getting dark and I was getting pretty tired. Seaweed and I made our venture back to the cave now that I think of it this was the most boring meal I have ever had.
"Oh hey guys" someone said from behind us luckily I reconized it as Rain. We turned around.
"Hi!" Seaweed replied.
"I- actully I gotta go" she said quickly. I was confused by this as she ran away I was sure she was looking pink around her scales. Brushing off this encounter we completed our journey. No one was there and I was glad I hoped onto my mat. And drifted off to sleep quickly.
Hey everyone hope you liked this chapter I'm glad I made a very basic pricing system. And added a little bit of romance let me know what you thought and if I should change directions with the story but I would probably need a lot of people saying it because so far I am liking it and I'm glad I was able to comfotably write a long chapter I could of written longer but I'll save that for the next one. I think thats all for now!
