Hey peeps! The inspiration for this chapter struck while I was at work and also because I reread all of PepperStarkPotts' fics of The Town That Came A Courtin'. Without further interruption, here is chapter two!

As soon as I stepped off the stage and walked into the hallway leading to the dressing rooms, my vision became blurry and I felt myself falling to the ground as I passed out.

As I drifted back into consciousness, I noticed that I was laying down on a couch. I was in what I am assuming is Diane's dressing room. I put my hand on my forehead, feeling a damp cloth as I tried to sit up. "Wh-where am I? What happened?"

"You are in my dressing room, Abby. As you walked down the hallway towards the dressing rooms, you stumbled a little and then fell to the floor."

I slowly sat up and propped myself up in the corner of the sofa. "Did I pass out?"

Diane said, "Yes, you did pass out." She continued, "Abby, just between you and me, is there a possibility that you might be pregnant?"

I bit my lip. My cycle is a couple of weeks late; but is it a one time fluke because of stress from the end of my book tour, or because I'm actually pregnant? "There's a strong possibility. After I got back to Bliss after being rescued, Spencer and I," gods, I could feel myself blushing. "Spencer and I have spent the vast majority of our alone time in the bedroom."

Diane smiled gently as she stood up. There was a twinkle in her eye; she knew something that I did not. However, I was unsure of what that something was. "Assuming that you don't want your publicist knowing what might be going on, I am going to have my assistant go out and get a few pregnancy tests. Once you are able to get into the privacy of your hotel suite, you can take the tests."

Scooting up into a more comfortable sitting position, I tried to speak, but my face had turned ashen, and I had the sudden urge to throw up. Thankfully, Diane had the good grace to place a trash can beneath me and held my hair away from my face.

It was then that Jamie chose to enter the room. "Alright, I just got off the phone with Spencer. He dropped the kids off at Charlotte's. He borrowed Charlie's private jet and should be here in about eight or so hours."

Jamie remained silent for a few moments before speaking again. "Are you okay with me calling you a car to drive you back to the hotel, while I head into the office to complete some paperwork and prepare for damage control? That is, if it is needed?"

"Yes, Jamie," I sighed, my voice tinged with exhaustion. Taking a deep breath, I hoped I wouldn't vomit again. "I will be just fine."

I wanted this to be a longer chapter. However, I decided to end the chapter where I did because, it felt like it would be dragging on too much. Anyway, if you liked this chapter... leave a review?
