Competition – Encanto songfic
AN : Hello my lovelies and welcome back this fanfic was inspired by Anything you can do I can do better from Annie get your gun. As a little competition between Mirabel and Camilo.
It was a very sunny Tuesday afternoon in La casa Madrigal and Camilo was bored he was lying down on the couch sighing in discomfort and boredom. Dolores was helping in the kitchen with dishes whilst Isabela was Training her potatoes to grow further he sighed in discomfort.

"Would you stop that your not making them grow and it's quite annoying ". Isabela growled
"Sorry Señorita perfecta, I didn't realise your plants were that important ". He replied sarcastically
"Why don't you go see Mirabel, she's usually got something for you to do". Dolores suggests
Camilo sighed in reluctance and did as Dolores had said and went up to Mirabel's room and knocked.
"Come in". Mirabel yells
Camilo opened the door to find his Prima sitting on her bed stitching something up to be what looked like Tio Bruno 's Ruana she smiled up at him.
"I hear your quite Bored Primo". Mirabel said
"Que how??" Camilo was shocked
"Dolores is pretty fast she told me that you were bored". Mirabel said
"That snitch". Camilo huffed
"You know what I think I might have an Idea to clear your boredom ". Mirabel replies
"Really how?" Camilo asked
"Well I think I can do anything better than you". Mirabel said in a sing song voice
"No you can't ". Camilo replies
"Wanna bet, Loser has to do the Family laundry for a week and then will ask our family who won deal?" Mirabel smiled and stuck out her hand.
"Deal". Camilo agreed
"Estas bien". She agreed
Mirabel:
"Anything you can do I can do better I can do anything better than you".
Camilo:
"No you can't".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can".
Camilo
"No you can't".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can yes I can".
Camilo:
"Anything you can be I can be greater sooner or later I am greater than you".
Mirabel:
"No you not ".
Camilo:
"Yes I am".
Mirabel:
"No your not"
Camilo:
"yes I am."
Mirabel:
"No your not."
Camilo:
"yes I am , yes I am".
Camilo :
"I can shoot a Partridge with a single cartridge ".
Mirabel:
"I can Do a Crosstitch and even tie a bow".
"What are they doing?" Isabela asked
" They're having some sort of competition I think , you said to keep him busy so Mira did what she does best keep Camilo busy ". Dolores replies
" I guess you're right he does seem busy but now I want to watch it seems quite entertaining don't you think ?" Isabela said
"Si like one of tío Bruno 's telenovelas". Dolores said
Soon the two girls watched as the two cousins played out this competition to see who was the best And pretty soon in the whole family was done with their chores so they found it quite entertaining as well. Especially Julieta and Pepa they found it quite entertaining considering that the cousins were little monsters when they were little it's good to see them back in a relationship they used to have when they were little and both mothers smiled at that.
"It's just like when they were little always one upping each other". Julieta laughed
"Si kind of reminds me of Bruno and you when we were growing up ".
"Don't lie Pepi I know you and Bruno did most of the squabbling growing up you really like to push Bruno 's buttons ".
"Okay I admit it, but I am just glad to have him back". Pepa admits
"Me too". Julieta smiles
Camilo:
"I can live on bread and cheese."
Mirabel:
"and only on that so can Tio 's rats".
Dolores squeaked Isabela smiled smugly Antonio laughed as they knew Camilo was stuck in a trap.
"Oh she's got your there". Bruno hummed
"Si it looks like you'll be doing the families laundry for the rest the week". Antonio replies
Camilo:
"Any note you can sing I can sing higher
Mirabel
"I can sing any note higher than you".
Camilo:
"No you can't".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can".
Camilo:
"No you can't".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can".
Camilo:
"No you can't".
Mirabel:
" yes I can,Yes I can".
Mirabel hit the high notes with that is that it made the family stop in their tracks and was amazed by Mirabel's singing talents.
Camilo:
"Yes you can".
Camilo:
" how do you sing so high?"
Mirabel:
"I am a girl Cami ".
The adults all laughed at Camilo's stupidity and they were glad to see the two getting along after so many years of being apart.
Camilo:
"Anything you can say I can say softer".
Mirabel:
"I can say anything softer then you".
Both cousins lower their pitch down to a whisper as they continue to go at it to prove who is better.
Camilo :
"No you can't".
Mirabel :
"Yes I can".
Camilo :
"No you can't".
Mirabel :
"Yes I can ,Yes I can".
Isabela and Dolores was surprised to see that Mirabel had switched to a yelling range so that she could be louder than Camilo. Meanwhile Mirabel looked apologetically at Dolores as if to say she was sorry for hurting her ears with her range.
Camilo:
I can drink my café quicker faster then a flicker ".
Mirabel:
"I can drink my café quicker and even get sicker".
Camilo:
"I can jump a hurdle".
Mirabel:
"I can wear a skirt".
Camilo :
"I can knit a sweater".
Mirabel:
"Please I can knit it better".
Dolores looks towards Her brother and smiles and laughs.
" that's true she can I mean have you seen her work with a needle and thread it's amazing she stitched my skirt up three times already just with her hand". Dolores explains .
Camilo:
"I can open any safe."
Mirabel:
" Without being caught by Tía Pepa".
Camilo:
"Yep". He smiles
Mirabel:
"That's what I thought you bandido".
Pepa laughed that sentence and she smiled as she knew her Sonbrina was right. If you saw any of her kids messing around with anything that is Valuable or unsafe she would strike them down with a lightning bolt.
Camilo:
" Any note you can hold I can have longer".
Mirabel:
" I can hold any note longer than you".
Camilo :
"No you can't ".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can".
Camilo :
"No you can't ".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can".
Camilo :
"No you can't ".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can……"
So the whole family watched as they held out their notes for as long as they possibly could Mirabel was beating him easily she stood still and with such ease she managed to hold that note longer that Camilo Meanwhile he was running out of breath.
The whole family was cheering on Camilo as They watch the two Wrestle for breath.
" Come on Mijo how are you can do it". Felix yelled
"Yeah Cami you can do it, do you want to be doing that laundry for the rest of the week". Antonio said
" Nope Mira is winning easily he's gonna be doing that laundry faster you can say beat you". Isabela smiled
"Si come on Camilo unless you want to lose The next matriarch of the Encanto, come on you can do better chameleon we believe in you". Bruno cheers
They seem right out of breath and it was obvious who won.
Camilo:
"Yes you can !!!"
Mirabel let out a big Breath of air as she stood laughing and smiling.
Camilo:
"Why do you keep All that Air?"
Mirabel coughed and jested to the family with her head saying she didn't want to reveal how she did it.
Camilo:
"Ooh".
Camilo:
"Anything you can sing I can sing sweeter".
Mirabel:
"I can sing anything sweeter than you".
Camilo:
"No you can't ". He started singing slowly and picking up a gentle melody
Mirabel:
"Yes I can ". She copied her cousin only the pitch was a bit higher
Camilo:
" No you can't"
Mirabel:
"Yes I can ".
Camilo:
" No you can't"
Mirabel:
" Oh Yes I can ".
Camilo:
" No you can't"
Mirabel:
" Oh Yes I can ".
Camilo:
"No you Can't Can't Can't".
Mirabel:
"Yes I can can can".
They finally finished their little game and competition by reaching the final high notes.
Camilo:
"No you can't ".
Mirabel :
"Yes I can".
Once they finished off the little game of who can do it better The family looked each other before deciding who had one.
"Mira won ". They all said
" Oh come on you don't even give me a chance I could've easily beat her out". Camilo whined
" Mira had you from the moment you started this game not that we didn't have any faith in you I mean you did sound like a dying cat". Isabela laughed
"Hey, at least I tried that's gotta count for something". Camilo pouted
"Sorry sonbrino but it looks like you're the one doing the family laundry for the week". Bruno laughed
"Maybe next time Cami, I can go easy on you hey at least you get extra dinner that's not bad". Mirabel pointed out
" I guess not but I will get you next time that's for sure". Camilo had a determined look on his face.
"Keep Dreaming primo". Mirabel replies while laughing
The house and family was so happy to see the two cousins get along like they did when they were little it's like they never left, yes everything was fine in Casa Madrigal.
