In their room, Kagami and Adrien sat on their beds but saw no reason to smile, Adrien felt really hurt about leaving his friends behind when he couldn't stand up to his father and felt really sad while being away from Marinette as Kagami knew what he was feeling and kept silent while they watched the news.
"God save the queen. Now their mayor has resigned, Parisians are holding a new election. And surprise, they have a candidate who might go the distance," The London newsman said while showing the picture of , "Her name is Ms. Busiter, and she's a French teacher. Like all candidates before her, she will be running against Mr. Armand D'Argencourt. So good luck to them, and Vive la France," He said in hope.
And then the screen showed Adrien and Kagami going on a plane together, "But the big news is the London arrival of the royal couple of fashion. Adrien Agreste and his perfect love, Kagami Tsurgui, heiress to the Tsurugi Industries," The man continued, "Did the capital of love eat too many frogs that it let its sweethearts go overseas? Let's see some pictures," It then showed Kagami and Adrien talking on some mics.
"Kagami is the greatest love of my life," 'Adrien' said to the mic, "You only love once, the first time, and it's forever," He finished as Adrien bowed his head.
"Ever since I became the female face of the Agreste Brand, and Adrien and I fell in love," 'Kagami' said while looking at 'Adrien' lovingly and holding his hand, "My life has been nothing but perfect."
Kagami snarled and scoffed, "All lies." She growled and turned off the TV.
"How did we get into this mess?" Adrien asked regretfully.
"By letting your parents decide your futures, and selling your life story through a fake narrative, as usual," Plagg said while nudging at the cheddar cheese before Longg whacked him in the head by the tail, "Ow! Hey!" He said in annoyance.
"Plagg, you're making Adrien feel worse than before," Longg said with his arms crossed, "He's already crushed by leaving his friends behind and having his life dictated by his own father."
Plagg then turned to their holders as they sighed sadly, making him feel guilty as he flew to Adrien's shoulder, "Forgive me. That was a bit harsh," He apologized.
"Do not worry Kagami," Longg said, landing on Kagami's shoulder, "If I know our friends, they're doing everything they can to get us back," he said encouragingly.
"Yeah, we might be back in Paris in two cheddars on Swiss cheese," Plagg encouraged as well, "And your powers have evolved, you both are getting stronger,"
"And what makes you say that?" Kagami asked with a brow before the two heard tappings on the balcony's glass doors they turned and saw Felix and Duusu outside.
"Duusu?" Longg and Plagg said in surprise.
"Felix?" Adrien and Kagami said with smiles.
Duusu waved her hand as Felix smiled
"Hi, friends!" Duusu waved while Felix just smiled.
They walked up as Kagami opened the slide door and she and Felix hugged each other for a moment before they broke apart.
"Wow, Felix, you sure are fast at traveling long distances," Adrien commented.
"Like I said, how do you think I made the trip between here and Paris the first time?" Felix asked his cousin with a smirk before he got serious, "But that doesn't matter, we have to get back to Paris now."
Adrien and Kagami looked concerned, "An Akuma?" Kagami asked.
"Not yet, but the amount of sorrow and pain bottled up inside her, Monarch won't resist taking her," Felix explained with a touch of anger, "That's what he was counting on when you were sent here, and that lie of you being a couple from the start."
"Wait, her? What do you mean 'her'?" Adrien asked in great concern.
Felix gave a grim look, "I think you know who she is, Adrien. So do you, Kagami," He said as he gave them one word, "You're Milady?" He stated.
Kagami and Adrien went wide-eyed in horror from that as they knew who Felix was talking about, "We gotta get back to Paris!" Kagami exclaimed.
"Then there's no time to lose!" Adrien exclaimed as he rushed out the balcony, "Plagg, Claws out!" He yelled as he transformed into Cat Noir and jumped off the balcony. "Power up!" He yelled again as he transformed into his Astro form and flew off into the sky at high speed.
"Wait for us Adrien!" Kagami yelled as she and Felix ran after him. "Longg, Bring the Storm!"
"Duusu, Spread my Feathers!" They exclaimed as they transformed into Ryuko and Argos and jumped over the balcony, "Power up!" They yelled and transformed into their Astro forms and flew off after Adrien.
Back In Paris, the heroes, minus Marinette who wanted to be alone for the moment, were at the After School Dance on the Eiffel Tower but none had any reason to celebrate, not without their friends.
Daniel looked to the city with a sad expression, "What's the point in celebrating? This is a nightmare!" He stated as he turned to the others, "And it's our fault. Because we were so caught up in dethroning Audrey, we've lost both Adrien and Kagami." He sighed as Chloe held his shoulder.
Marc looked at them, "W-Well then, what are we gonna do?" He asked his friends.
"We're gonna find a way to get Kagami and Adrien back and keep Marinette and Adrien's love alive!" Alya stated, slamming her fist into her palm, "That's what we're gonna do!"
"Yeah, how?" Sam asked rhetorically.
"Maybe I could use my teleportation powers to bring them back in a flash," Max suggested.
"And also raised some questions about how they got from London to Paris so fast," Molly reminded.
"When you put it that way, I guess it wouldn't work," Max said as he slumped.
"Ugh! Even when we have all this power, we can't even help our friends out in salutations like this!" Jacob groaned while slapping an empty cup away, "Even when we won a battle, we still lost!"
"Jacob, feeling useless makes all of us angry," Zoe said with her arms crossed.
"It really does," Ivan agreed as he sat on the floor with Mylene next to him.
"W-Well, what we need is, maybe even, how about?" Nino tried to say but couldn't figure out an idea, "I got nothing," He said in defeat.
The Kawmis looked at their holders from their hiding places in sympathy, "What good is being heroes, if we can't even help our friends?" Rose said sadly with Juleka comforting her.
Daniel looked at his Amulet and sighed, "I'd give Monarch my Miraculous if it meant Marinette and Adrien could be together again," He said.
"We all would," Kara said, fiddling with her head jewel as the others did the same with their Miraculous.
Sass floated out of Luka's pocket and looked at the holders, "Young one, you mustn't give up," Sass encouraged, "Where there is light, there is hope,"
"Like what hope? We can't just bring them here to Paris like that," Marc stated with a snap of his fingers.
"And even if we could, Paris will just see them being here and will draw suspicion on how and their parents will just send them back again," Molly added.
"So that's it then, we're toast," Kim finished as he sat down in defeat.
"Come on, you guys are just gonna give up like that?" Xuppu asked while floating around Kim.
"Come on, you know that you are stronger now," Roarr spoke next to Juleka.
"And we know that even in tough times, you all know how to push forward," Wayzz said to Nino.
"Remember all those times you didn't have powers, but still found a way to keep going?" Daizzi asked Rose.
"You've all done so many things without us that you manage to be heroes in your own way," Stompp said to Ivan.
"Even after you were Akumatized you never let that stop you," Orikko said next to Marc.
"And you both have managed to help a lot of people," Pollen said while floating around Zoe.
"And you did it both with and without the masks," Mullo added while sitting on Mylene's shoulder.
"And you've been doing great things before we were given to you," Ziggy said while sitting on a table next to Nathaniel.
"And trust in each other even after knowing your identities and work things through," Barkk said while on Sabrina's shoulder.
"Anyone can put on a Miraculous and say they're a superhero," Kaalki started as she floated next to Max.
"But it takes someone with a hero's heart to become one," Trixx finished as she sat on Alya's head.
The holders all looked at their kwamis while feeling touched by their words as they grabbed their kwamis and nuzzled, kissed, or held them close as they all gave small smiles.
"You little cuties really know how to keep us happy," Rose said while nuzzling her kwami on her cheeks.
"And pretty wise for your size," Luka added while petting Sass.
"Well, we haven't lived since the beginning of time picking up a few words of wisdom," Baihu commented with her arms crossed with a smirk.
"There is a light at the end of each tunnel," Xuan Wu said.
"There's hope, beyond every horizon," Qinlong said with an assuring smile on his face.
"And we'll find a way to cover up the truth or reveal why Adrien and Kagami are here and their couple story is a fraud," Nan Fang said with an encouraging smile.
"So raise your heads up and keep your spirits high," Huanglong encouraged, "A true champion of the Miraculous never quits!"
"Miraculous Champions never quit? That's actually pretty catchy, buddy," Daniel spoke with a small smile before he gave a determined look, "And yeah, we gotta keep our spirits up for our friends and for Marinette. They wouldn't want us to be down in the dumps!" He said with a fist up.
"Yeah!" The others declared with their fists up.
"So let's try and make Marinette happy! She helped us more than ever, and with her being sad now that Adrien is gone, she would need our support to help her through it," Daniel said as they all nodded in agreement before Daniel realized something, "Wait, where's Marinette again?"
"She needed some alone time after Adrien left," Ayla said with a solemn look, "She just had the last kiss with the love of her life taken away. This is way worse than not seeing him all the time," She said while crossing her arms, "And she's already got a lot of other bad feelings in her."
Daniel's eyes widen, "Wait, she's alone? With Negative emotions?" He asked in dread.
The others caught on to what he was saying as they remembered what happens when someone is alone with negative emotions, "Oh no!" They all exclaimed as they rushed to where Marinette was.
With Marinette, she hid at the top of the tower while she curled herself as black mascara fell from her tears as she sobbed, and in front of her was her phone as she saw the video of Adrien and Kagami together, forgetting it wasn't the real them. "Why? Why?" She sobbed, without Adrien, her love and partner, she felt so lost and broken.
Tikki hovered in front of Marinette, "Oh, Marinette, I'd give up all the Galletes and Chocolate in the world if I could change this," She said regretfully.
"That's very sweet of you Tikki," Marinette said as she wiped her eyes, "Do you know a surefire trick to keep me from crying?" She asked.
"If I did, I use it on myself," Tikki said sadly.
Marinette gave a sad smile before she started weeping and sobbing again as Tikki tried to hug Marinette the best she could, "All this fighting for a happy ending, only to have it taken away," She sobbed before taking off her earrings.
"Marinette?! What are you-?!" Tikki tried to ask.
"And not even my Miraculous could do anything about it! I hate being Ladybug!" She exclaimed while clenching on to the earrings. "I wish I never got these earrings! All they've done is bring nothing but pain and an ending where everyone's happy but me!" She said in great despair as she bowed her head
"Marinette, please. Try and stay-" Tikki tried to say before Marinette raised her hand holding the earrings.
"Monarch can keep you and these earrings! I just want Adrien back!" Marinette screamed as she threw the earrings across the floor.
"Marinette!" Tikki gasped in shock before she was swatted away by the despair-filled Marinette and landed next to the earrings.
"I wish I never been Ladybug! I wish I could just be happy with Adrien!" Marinette cried as she collapsed to the floor sobbing and clutching onto the lucky charm Adrien made for her.
In his lair, Monarch's window opened as the sorrow, despair, and anguish from Marinette was so powerful it was almost overwhelming, just as he planned
"Ah, Marinette Duphen-Chang's sorrow has finally reached its limit," Monarch said sinisterly while smelling the air, "There's nothing more powerful than a broken heart. She will be my greatest masterpiece," He said as a butterfly landed on his hand and he evilized it with all the power he could muster.
"And this time, she will give into it," Monarch said and pressed on his ring of the Power of the Horse, "Voyage!" He exclaimed and opened a portal, "Go forth my Megakuma, and turn this broken heart into my ultimate warrior!" He said as the Megakuma flew through the portal.
Back with Marinette, she was so consumed by sorrow and heartbreak that didn't see the Megakuma flying out from the portal towards her.
With Astrocat, Rocket Ryuko, and Stargos, they had arrived and saw Marinette, "There she is!" Astrocat said as he pointed to his girlfriend.
Then the other heroes arrived at the same moment, "Marinette, are you-" Alya cut herself off when she saw the purple butterfly.
The Akuma then entered Marinette's lucky charm as the heroes all gasped in shocked horror, "We're too late!" Stargos exclaimed in horror.
Marinette looked up as Monarch's mask appeared, "Heartbreaker, I am Monarch. You have spent this whole year, trying to win the heart of the boy you love and when you finally achieved your goal it was robbed from you," Monarch spoke with a mocking smirk. "I'm giving you the power to turn your and everyone's, anger, pain, fear, and sorrow into your strength, so that they understand your agony. All I ask in return, are the Miraculous,"
Marinette tried to resist, but due to her sadness and broken heart, she gave in with a straight look, "I will do whatever it takes to hurt those monsters back and be with Adrien again." She said.
From behind the mask, Monarch gave a victorious smirk, "Good. Now go and seek your revenge," He said as Marinette nodded and was covered in black magic as she was being akumatized.
"Marinette!" The heroes all exclaimed as Marinette fully transformed into someone else, her appearance looked like her dress combined with her Ladybug costume but in purple and black, with cracked hearts skulls in place of spots, a tatted dress tail behind her, huge black wings on her back, pale blue skin, glowing white eyes with tear streak marking underneath them, and her Lucky Charm wrapped around her waist in the form of a chain whip.
"It's time I show the world what heartbreak, really feels!" Heartbreaker hissed as she took to the air and flew off while the others watched in shock.
"Marinette's been akumatize!? That's something I hoped we never see!" Sam exclaimed.
Alya put her hand to her head, "Oh, this is bad!" She said in panic.
"Guys!" A voice called out as they turned and saw Astro Cat, Rocket Ryuko, and Stargos land next to them as they powered down.
"Adrien! Kagami! You're back!" Nino exclaimed as he and his friends huddled them in a group hug, which caught the two heroes off guard as they smiled at their friends.
"Man are you two a sight for sore eyes!" Luka said in relief.
"You can thank Felix for bringing us back when he knew how crushed Marinette would be," Cat Noir said as they broke the hug and gestured to his cousin.
"Felix, you're a good guy who came a long way," Kara commented with a small smile.
"Anything for my friends and family," Argos said.
Ryuko looked to her friends, "We can worry about that later, right now we have a new problem!" She said pointing to the city where Marinette flew over and lashed out her whip as a purple explosion was hit from where it landed.
"Whoa! Okay, this is really bad!" Marc exclaimed.
"Marinette is destroying the city!" Nathaniel called out as another explosion went off.
Molly gasped and pointed, "That's not all, look!" She said as they saw Marinette scream out and grow bigger, "The more Marinette destroys or the the more negativity she creates, the stronger she gets!"
"Okay, this is really bad!" Daniel yelled seriously as another explosion happened and the ground shook, "We need to save her before she reduces the entire city into rubble!"
"But how?! She has the ladybug earrings so we can't-" Jacob was cut off when Molly raised her hands.
"Wait, look," Molly said, pointing to the corner and rushing to it the others looked at her as she started picking up something from the floor and showed it to the others, "Marinette must've taken off her Miraculous before she was Akumatized," She said in shock while the others gasped while looking at the earrings and Tikki.
"Wait, so she took them off before akumatization? Wow, she must've been really upset," Kim commented.
Tikki started whimpering as she looked at Molly, "Molly. M-Marinette," She whimpered with tears.
"We know, Tikki. Monarch got her," Molly said while patting the kwami to make her feel better, "Don't worry, we'll get her back,"
"But, she got so sad that she wished she never wanted to be Ladybug or found the Miraculous and me in the first place," Tikki wept, which made the others all shocked by this, "She fought so hard for a happy ending, only to have it taken away from her, I'm the worst Kawmi ever." She sobbed and covered her eyes.
"Hey, Tikki, don't say that. You know Marinette would never mean something like that," Molly said while rubbing Tikki, "She's just going through a lot, anyone would say stuff like that,"
"Besides, she only got Akumatized because I left," Cat Noir said solemnly, knowing the real reason behind Marinette's akumatization, "If I had just stood my ground and just tried harder to reject my father none of this would've happened." He said while gripping his fist, angry by his weakness.
"Hey, dude, it wasn't your fault, it was your old man," Nino said while placing a hand on Cat Noir's shoulder, "He separated you and Marinette. just to keep his company going, He was forcing you, you couldn't help it,"
"So this is on him not you, Adrien." Chloe comforted, holding Cat Noir's hand as he smiled in gratitude.
Then more explosions could be heard as they turned and saw Heartbreaker bigger and the city more into flames they heard screaming as Heartbreaker kept lashing her weapon.
"Okay, no time for chit-chatting! We gotta go and stop Marinette before she destroys the entire city!" Daniel declared.
"Except there's one problem: We need Ladybug to purify the Akuma, but we need Marinette to wear the earrings," Ivan pointed out.
"One of us we'll have to wear the earrings in place of her," Kara explained.
Cat Noir narrowed his eyes as he took the earrings from Molly's hands, "I'll do it. I got Marinette into this mess, I gotta get her out." He said in determination.
The others were alarmed, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa there Kitty! I don't if that's a good idea!" Daniel said, covering the Earrings with his hand, "The Black Cat and Ladybug Miraculous together have the power to destroy and recreate the universe, if you put both of them on, who knows what could happen," He reminded with concern.
"Yeah, dude! As poetic as it sounds for you to take Marinette's place, it's too risky to combine both yours and her Miraculous," Nino added.
"And with that much power, we don't know what could happen," Juleka said.
Cat Noir sighed, knowing they were right, that it was too risky for him to use both his and Marinette's Miraculous together, "Then who's gonna take Marinete's place? Because Scarabella is out of commission and most of us already have Miraculous of our own so-" He was cut off as someone else spoke up.
And that someone, was Chloe, "I'll do it." She said in determination.
The others all looked at her in shock, "What?" They all asked, wanting to make sure they heard right.
"I'll take Marinette's place as Ladybug," Chloe said while looking at the earrings in Cat Noir's hand, "Funny, I wanted to prove I was a better hero than Ladybug, and yet, here I am holding the source of her power. Talk about irony," She joked with a slight chuckle.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Chloe?" Molly asked.
"Marinette did so much to help us and she even made me these," Chloe said while gesturing to her clothes, "I don't know if I could ever be half the hero she was, but I have to try," She said determinedly.
Daniel looked at his girlfriend for a moment as the two stared at each other before they both nodded with smiles and Daniel turned to Molly and Cat Noir, "Give her the earrings. Chloe knows what must be done," He said to them.
Molly and Cat Noir nodded as they gave Chloe both Tikki and the earrings, and the blonde girl put the earrings on and took a breath, "I promise I'll give them back to her once the work is done," Chloe promised.
"We know you will, Chloe," Sabrina said to her as she and the others smiled at her.
Chloe smiled at her friends as she turned to Tikki, "I know I'm not Marinette, but I'm willing to do my best to help save her," She said.
"I know, Chloe. And I'm sure you will do great," Tikki said with a small grateful smile.
"Okay, guys. Monarch has really crossed a line by akumatizing Marinette," Daniel said with a determined look, "And Marinette has helped us as both Ladybug and herself more times than I can count. So today, we return the favor by saving Marinette! It's time to be heroes!" He declared.
The team then started cheering in agreement, willing to save their friend from their arch nemesis as they all rushed out of the Eiffel Tower to transform while Cat Noir stood there and looked at where Heartbreaker was with a solemn look.
"We'll save you, Milady. I promise," Cat Noir said softly before he rushed after the others.
With Heartbreaker, she was slashing her way through the city as the buildings started growing even bigger than she was to the size of Gorizilla.
"Paris, the City of Love, but soon I will turn it into the City of Despair!" Heartbreaker exclaimed as she smashed a building with her fist, "They don't want me to be happy, then I'll take away everything they hold dear!" She exclaimed as she turned to the Agreste Manor. "Starting with you, Gabriel Agreste!" She declared.
In Monarch's lair, Monarch widened his eyes from what Heartbreaker just said, "She's coming this way?!" He asked himself before he connected with her, "Heartbreaker! Forget Gabriel Agreste, focus on the heroes, and get me their Miraculous!" He ordered.
"Cram it Monarch!" Heartbreaker yelled, which made Monarch flinched.
"That man took my Adrien away from me! And he will pay for treating him like a puppet on strings! Never once thinking about what he wanted for what's best for him and when he forced him to do things by his orders like a slave!" Heartbreaker yelled in anger as she made her way to the Agreste Manor, "So now, he's going to pay!"
"Heartbreaker, stop or I'll remove your power!" Monarch ordered as he pressed his fingers close to try and strip away Marinette's power, but for some reason, he couldn't, "What?!" He questioned in shock.
"You thought you could control me, Monarch!? I'm more powerful than you! You can't tell me what to do!" Heartbreaker yelled as she slashed at more buildings. "I will get revenge on Gabriel, and then I'll destroy anyone else who hurt me!" She roared, severing her link with Monarch, so he could no longer hear or see what she did.
Monarch growled at this, seeing that akumatzing Marinette backfired as she headed in his direction. Surely he could just portal away to safety but if his house was destroyed so would…
He then gasped in horror, "Emilie!" He called out in shock with wide eyes, as he realized he made a terrible mistake. He then recalled what Heartbreaker just said, and knew that if Emilie knew that he made Adrien suffer, that look of betrayal was something he could never allow.
He looked down at his Miraculous and knew that after Paris was destroyed, Heartbreaker would surely go to London and Adrien. He knew there was only one way to protect all that he had left, "Desperate times, call for desperate measures." He said before he lowered himself out of his lair.
Heartbreak continued her way to the Manor, but it was then stopped when a Green barrier appeared in front of her, "What?!" She exclaimed.
"Marinette!" A familiar voice called out as Heartbreaker turned and saw the Miraculous Heroes standing on the rooftops tall, and proud with fearless looks. "That's enough!" Chloe yelled out as her Ladybug Costume was a mix of Alya's and her costume when she was Queen Bee.
"Stay out of my way, heroes!" Heartbreaker demanded.
"Marinette, this isn't you! You're causing so much destruction for no reason!" Phoenix called out.
Heartbreaker snapped her head to them, "No reason? NO REASON?!" She roared before lashing her whip at them, causing them to scatter, "I'm doing this, for Adrien!" She yelled as she kept swinging her whip at the heroes.
The heroes all dodge the slashes as the slashes split the roofs in half while the heroes separate, "But destroying the city isn't what Adrien would've wanted!" Carapace exclaimed.
"Which is why I'm going to destroy the source of our problems: Gabriel Agreste!" Heartbreaker exclaimed as she smashed her fist at some of the heroes, who dodged it while debris flew off.
"Okay, you gotta admit, even in her akumatize state, Marinette is still willing to stand up against Gabriel," Caspian commented before dodging a slash from her weapon, "But not while destroying entire cities to do it!"
Most of the heroes kept moving around as Heartbreak kept trying to strike them while Terrapin, Pigellla, Viperion, Minotaurox, and Polymouse guided people to safety. They dodged and evaded her attacks while Heartbreaker was destroying the city. which caused her to grow bigger and bigger almost to the size of Strikeback.
"Guys! This isn't working!" Queen Beetle called out while swinging around, "The more Marinette destroys, the bigger she gets! We gotta destroy the Akumatized Object and fast!" She said.
"Well, do you guys know where that is?!" Phoenix yelled as she flew around Marinette as she tried to swat her away like a fly, "Because from this size, it would be easy to see which akumatize object Marinette is holding!"
"Then we just have to keep fighting until we find it!" Ryuko stated as she saw debris falling over her, "Wind Dragold!" She exclaimed, transforming into a golden wind as she flew away and dodged the debris.
"What are we supposed to do? Use our powers on her?!" Rooster Bold asked as they all regrouped.
"No! We can't hurt her!" Cat Noir called out in worry.
"He's right! She's our friend, and we can't risk hurting her more." Terrpian said to them.
Dragold growled in frustration, "They're right, we just need to keep her from-" He was cut off when Heartbreaker chucked a chuck of debris at his face, causing him to fall over as the others were surprised, "Causing any more damage." Dragold groaned with his hand up.
They all look at Heartbreaker as she twirls her weapon around, "Does anyone have any ideas? Because I'm open to suggestions," Ms. Hound asked as Queen Beetle helped Dragold up and Heartbreaker wrapped her whip around a building before flinging it at them.
"Incoming!" Hydrake yelled.
"Clout!" Purple Tigress exclaimed, bringing out her powers as she punched the building back and it flew way high into the sky. "If this keeps up, all of Paris will be destroyed!"
"We know, but we still have no idea where the Megakuma is, so we're pretty much stuck at the moment!" Caprikid reminded as Caspian looked and his eyes widened.
"Here comes another one!" He yelled as they saw another building heading towards them.
"Hit the dirt!" Minotaurox called out as the heroes all scattered before the building fell on them.
"I hate being target practice!" Dragold exclaimed as he turned to Argos, "Argos, you have to create a sentimonster to keep Marinette busy so we can catch our breath!"
"But I don't know if I could!" Argos said uncertainly.
"Trust me! You can do it!" Dragold exclaimed, "The sentimonsters may be living creatures, but I read that the amoks still hold memories of the things they've created! So please, create something and get him to help us!"
Argos looked at his feather fan for a bit and gave a determined nod as he plucked a feather off, "Oh Little Amok, here my pleas. Become a powerful to help us save our friend!" He called and blew it to Dragold's sword as it was absorbed.
Dragold had the peacock mask to him as he looked at Argos and nodded. "Draguard! Come to me!" He called as he raised his sword and a giant golden eastern dragon appeared above him, letting out a mighty roar to the sky.
The heroes all look awed and shocked at what they see as Carapace beams in excitement. "Totally awesome, Dragold bro!" He exclaimed.
Heartbreaker looked in shock at seeing a dragon right in front of her as she glared, "A Sentimonster makes no difference!" She yelled as she raised her weapon, "I'll destroy it as well!"
"Draguard, watch our backs! Keep Heartbreak at bay for as long as you can!" Dragold ordered as Draguard nodded and flew at Heartbreaker and tackled her to the ground, "He won't keep her down long! We need to think of a plan and quick!" He told the others as they jumped to a large rooftop.
"In that case, better call out the very thing Ladybug would do, Lucky Charm!" Queen Beetle exclaimed, tossing her yo-yo in the air while it created a familiar-looking cane, "A cane? What am I supposed to do with this? Wack her?!" She questioned.
"Wait, that cane seems familiar?" Rena Rouge said as she inspected the cane closer before she gasped, "This is Monarch's cane!"
"Wait what?!" They all exclaimed.
"Why would the Lucky Charm create the weapon of our worst enemy?" Vesperia questioned.
Then a familiar voice spoke, "Perhaps I can answer that?" The Heroes' hairs stood on end as they immediately whipped around, brandishing their weapons as they saw Monarch standing behind them, "I hope I'm not interrupting something." Monarch said casually with his hands up.
"You," Argos snarled.
Cat Noir stalked towards Monarch, his eyes as sharp as his claws, "Give one good reason why I shouldn't Cataclysm you right here and now?" He growled.
"First off, I'm still invulnerable, so it wouldn't do you any good," Monarch started with a straight face as he backed away from Cat Noir, "And Second, I'm here to help." He added.
The Heroes looked at him in surprise, silent for a few moments before they all started laughing loudly as Monarch looked at them dully. "You, help?! Yeah, like the time when you have been akumatizing innocent people?!" Rena Rouge questioned with a glare.
"The time when you made Master Fu sacrifice his memories to make Ladybug the new Guardian of the Miraculous?!" Viperion added.
"Or that time when you took our Miraculous and enslaved our Kwamis?! Yeah, really helpful!" Ryuko yelled.
Monarch raised his hand to stop them, "I know you all have every reason not to trust me, and quite frankly I could've cared less about it," He said as he walked up to Cat Noir, "But unless we do something, that girl is going to reduce all of Paris to a pile of rubble." He stated, looking Cat Noir in the eye.
Viperion just crossed his arms, "Oh and let me guess, you'll take away her powers and turn her back to normal if we give you our Miraculous right?" He asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, no deal dude!" Carapace yelled.
"Trust is a two-way street pal," King Monkey said holding up to fingers, "And right now, you're lying in a 100-foot ditch at the side of the road." He said with a glare.
"If wanted to take away her powers, don't you think I would've done that by now?" Monarch questioned with a brow, which made them all confused.
"What are you talking about crazy guy?" Hydrake questioned.
Phoenix can see it in Monarch's eyes that he really did want their help, "Wait, are you saying, you, you can't?" She asked in surprise.
"Shockingly, I can't," Monarch answered, which made the other heroes shock.
"What? How?!" Caspian questioned.
Monarch clenched his fist, "Apparently the strength of her negative emotions was stronger than I anticipated. she's gone completely rogue, she doesn't even remember what she is fighting for," He explained with a touch of anger.
Cat Noir then grabbed him by the shirt and brought him to his face, "How do we save her!? Talk, now!" He demanded.
Monarch simply pushed Cat Noir back and stood up straight, "I believe that Marinette Dupain-Cheng still has some humanity left that only one person may help her break free of the Akuma," He answered while narrowing his eyes, "Adrien Agreste."
They all gasped in shock, especially Cat Noir before Dragold spoke with a serious look, "And what makes you say that?" He asked.
"I heard rumor and scuttlebutt of how the Agreste boy and Ms. Dupain-Cheng had become quite close," Monarch answered coyly, "If her love for this boy is true as they say, I believe she will listen to him and him alone."
Queen Beetle looked at Monarch suspiciously, "Why are you helping us exactly? This is the kind of stuff you live for." She reminded, gesturing to the devastated city.
"My goal has always been to recreate the world, not destroy it. Just know that every moment we waste debating over this, Heartbreaker is that much closer to turning the world to ash," Monarch stated as the heroes looked at him with skepticism, "And if saving that girl isn't enough, I'll sweeten the deal, by giving you this." He said with a smirk and held his Miraculous.
They all look at each other in shock while seeing that Monarch is willing to give up his Miraculous to help them save Marinette, "What if it's a trick?" Terrapin questioned.
"I have nothing to lose," Monarch answered with a serious look, "This has gone beyond my control," He explained as he offered his hand, "So do we have a deal?" He asked.
The heroes looked to Dragold, wanting him to decide whether they should take this offer. Dragold crossed his arms in thought, wondering if this was a good idea before glancing at Cat Noir, "Cat Noir, what do you think?" He asked.
Cat Noir glanced back at Heartbreaker and Draguard still fighting, his face full of worry as he turned back and looked down in conflict, clenching his eyes, fearful this was a trick. He then sighed and looked back up at Monarch with a steely look as he took his hand, "Deal." He said lowly as they shook hands.
Monarch then smirked, "Then we agreed. I assume you already know where Adrien Agreste is, so if you could," He said before Cat Noir raised his hand.
"Yeah, yeah I'm on it," Cat Noir said before turning to Pegasus, "Pegasus, if you would?" He asked.
"I'm on it. Voyage!" Pegasus opened up a portal and he and Cat Noir entered it as it closed.
After a short moment, another portal opened up again and Pegasus and Adrien came back, "I heard what happened to Marinette and…Whoa!" Adrien yelled out, pretending that he was first seeing the city being destroyed. "I only leave for a day and this happens?!"
"Uh, that's not even the weirdest part dude," Carapace said, pointing behind Adrien as he turned and saw Monarch.
Adrien glared and clenched his fists, "Why is he here?" He growled, as convincingly as possible.
"He's making a temporary truce, to help us save Marinette and he'll give us his Miraculous, if he keeps his words," Vesperia said while giving Monarch a distrustful glare.
Adrien glared at Monarch as the villain's eyes seemed to soften on him, "Tell me, boy, do you truly love that girl?" Monarch asked him.
"More than the world," Adrien said with his fist clenched, "Just tell us where the Akuma is hiding and I'll try and talk her out of it,"
Monarch narrowed his eyes at Adrien as he returned the look before Monarch pointed to Heartbreaker's whip and Adrien realized something, "That whip, it's the charm I gave her. That has to be where the Megakuma is." He said.
"Yes," Monarch said before Adrien punched Monarch in the face, which he stumbled back.
"Never Akumatize her again!" Adrien yelled in rage before Carapace placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Chill dude, remember the plan. At least we know where the Akuma is hiding," Carapace said before leaning close to his ear, "But nice hit dude," He whispered cheekily.
Adrien smirked back and nodded, "Okay, so we have a plan, but we need one more hero to make this work!" Dragold said before turning to Pegasus, "Pegasus, where's Cat Noir?" He asked.
"He's staying in London in case we fail," Pegasus explained, wanting to cover up for Adrien so Monarch doesn't suspect a thing and find out Adrien is Cat Noir.
"Good call," Dragold said before turning back to the fight as Heartbreaker threw Draguard away, "Okay, but with him gone where are we gonna find-" He was cut off when a time portal opened beside them.
Stepping out of the portal was Bunnyx, the one from their time, "You got another hero right here," Bunnyx said while shouldering her umbrella.
"Bunnyx!" They all exclaimed as they rushed up and hugged her before breaking up.
"Nice of you to show up at such a perfect moment," Carapace quipped.
"Yeah, I've been watching," Bunnyx said with a smirk before seeing the city and whistled, "Wow, this is worse than Strikeback, Marinette's not holding back." She commented as she stared at Heartbreaker.
The ground shook as Draguard pinned Heartbreaker to the ground as they all braced themselves, "If this is going to happen, I suggest we do it now!" Monarch told the heroes.
"Can't believe I'm saying this but Monarch's right!" Dragold said as he turned to the team, "Bunnyx, see if you can Adrien close enough to Marinette, everyone else protect the people!"
"On it!" They said as they all scattered.
Bunnyx then grabbed onto Adrien, "Hold on Fashion boy, this could get bumpy!" She warned as she jumped while Adrien yelled from the ride.
Monarch stayed where he was and looked where Adrien was going, "Let's see if you can prove me wrong, son." He said to himself before he felt a hand on his shoulder before he turned around and was shocked by what he saw, "You." He said.
At the base of the Eiffel Tower, Heartbreaker continued to wrestle with Draguard as she managed to grab Draguard by the wings, "Get off of me you filthy lizard!" She exclaimed, managed to kick the dragon off her as it flew over some buildings and crashed down in exhaustion.
Heartbreaker stood up as she held her weapon and panted, "You're Dragold's sentimonster, I'll just destroy the object he is carrying and you will cease, and then I go to Mr. Agreste and take care of-"
"Marinette!" Heartbreaker stopped as she turned and looked down to see Bunnyx and more importantly, Adrien, "Please stop!" He said with tears.
Heartbreaker looked at him in shock, "A-Adrien?" She asked in disbelief as she lowered herself to him.
"Marinette, please! I know you're hurting, but you can't just destroy everything or hurt my father just so we can be together!" Adrien pleaded.
Heartbreaker looked at him tearfully, "But he took you away from me, Adrien!" Heartbreaker cried out, "He separated us, he was controlling your life, and forcing you into something you don't want to be anymore! He's ruining your life!"
"Marinette! I get it, I don't like my father after what he did to me, but he's the only family in Paris I have left after my mother disappeared!" Adrien cried out as tears fell from his eyes, "I want us to be together, but destroying my father and everything around you isn't the way! Please, don't do this! You're better than this, Marinette! Go back to being the girl I fell in love with! The girl who was willing to do anything and everything to help people!" He pleaded.
Heartbreaker gasped at what Adrien said as her hand started trembling while keeping a firm grip on her whip she tried to resist the tears that were forming in her eyes as she thought back to how she met her friends, how she met Tikki, when she became Ladybug and partnered up with Adrien, how Master Fu became her mentor, helping her friends and spending time with her family, how she and her friends decided to reveal their identities, battling with the Zodiacs to reclaim all the Miraculous, how her love for Adrien have finally bloomed and the kiss they shared before Adrien left for London.
"A-A-Adrien…" Heartbreaker trembled as she held her head, struggling to break free of the Akuma, "H-H-Help me," She stuttered, tears falling from her eyes.
"That's what we're here for," Adrien said with a small smile, "Now!" He called out.
Just then, Draguard managed to recover and used his tail to wack the whip away as Queen Beetle tied it in a web trap with her yo-yo as she kept it still, "Purple Tigress, destroy it!" She called out.
"On it! Clout!" Purple Tigress called out as she jumped from a ruined building and slammed her fist at the whip, which destroyed it as the Megakuma flew out.
"No more evil-doing for you, Megakuma," Queen Beetle said as she twirled the yo-yo, "Time to de-evilize!" She exclaimed as she caught the Megakuma in her yo-yo, "Gotcha! Bye-bye little butterfly," She said as the butterfly flew away before she tossed the cane in the air, "Miraculous Queen Beetle!" She exclaimed.
Then the magical ladybugs restore the whole city from the damage Heartbreaker has caused as the buildings are being rebuilt and the Heartbreak shank back down to size as she turned back into Marinette and fell to her knees.
Dragold looked to Draguard and rubbed his head, "Thank you for your help, I hope we can fight again," He said to the Sentimonster as it let out a peaceful growl and he stepped back, "I release you from existence." He said as Draguard disappeared and the amok flew out of his sword.
The heroes returned, detransformed, as they stared down at Marinette in sympathy as she kept bowing her head in shame, even though she couldn't remember what she did she already knew it was horrible.
Adrien walked up to her, "Bugaboo?" Adrien asked as he kneeled before Marinette, holding her hands.
Marinette looked up at Adrien, black tear streaks as she stared at his smiling face, "A-Adrien? Is it, really you?" She asked, fearfully she was seeing things.
"I'm here, Marinette. It is me." Adrien said softly Marinette quickly hugged Adrien deeply as she began to sob.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry! I just, I wanted to see you again!" Marinette sobbed as she clung to Adrien tightly.
"I know. I felt the same way." Adrien said softly as he soothed her as Marinette kept sobbing. "But I'm here now and won't leave you ever again." He promised, rubbing her back.
The rest of the team smiled at the sight, "Even when they are apart, their love is stronger than anything," Alya said with a proud smile.
"That is so true, babe," Nino said with his arms behind his head as they all walked up to them.
"Marinette," Kagami said with a small smile as Marinette managed to look up and saw her friends looking down at her with smiles.
"I-I-I am so sorry for the damage I've caused." Marinette wept. "I just couldn't fight it any longer. When I saw all of you together, so happy I, I just-"
"Marinette," Kagami interrupted as she helped Marinette up, "You forget something, we've all been Akumatized ourselves," She said sympathetically.
"We get how you were feeling. And we're sorry you felt that way and we couldn't be there to help you," Alya told her with a smile.
"And no one here faults you for being upset." Luka comforted as the others nodded in agreement.
"You were there to help us through our problems, but you gotta remember, you have friends to help you through yours," Daniel said while placing a hand on Marinette's shoulder.
"I, I'm the Guardian of the Miraculous, m-my problems c-can't get in the way of anything e-else," Marinette mumbled sorrowfully.
"Marinette, you can't just solve every problem on your own. You may be the Guardian, but you're still human. A normal girl with her own sorrows and pains. You can't do everything on your own, that's why you have friends around." Molly said softly.
"Yeah, I mean, look around, you may have been doing fine things on your own from the start, but that's when you had to do things on your own. But now, you have friends to help you through tough times." Jacob spoke next.
"There's no reason to shut yourself out and to solve the problems on your own. You're the best out of all of us, Marinette, but even you have limits." Kara added.
"Not to mention that it's okay to tell us how you feel instead of bottling it all up. There's no shame in being upset." Sam reminded.
Marinette looked at her friends before bowing her head, "You're right, I can't believe I had the solution to my problems right under my nose and I didn't realize it," Marinette said with a frown, "I'm supposed to be the one with all the answers, and all I've done since becoming the guardian is messing up and letting you guys down," She said in shame.
Chloe frowned before he kneeled next to Marinette, "I don't think even Ladybug is supposed to have all the answers," She said with a smile as Marinette looked at her before she gestured to the team, "But I know that she can always count on her friends to help her find them," She said as they others smiled and nodded in agreement.
Marinette gave a small smile at her friends as they all gave her one big group hug, which made her smile and have tears of joy at her friends' support as she sobbed happily. "I love you guys." She said to them.
"And we love you too, Marinette," Adrien said as they stayed that way for a while.
"Adrien," A voice called out as they all turned and glared at the last person they could see, Gabriel Agreste, while the Zodiac group glared hatefully at him, really hating him since all this was his fault. "There you are," Gabriel said walking up to them.
Daniel and his four friends all stood in front of him while the others glared at him, "Get lost." he ordered.
"What do you want Uncle?" Felix asked.
"Well, I heard that my son was in Paris to save Ms. Dupain-Cheng from Monarch's clutches. I rushed over as soon as I could," Gabriel explained as he looked at his son, "Seeing as how you and Ms. Tsurugi are already here, I suggest you enjoy this party while the night is still young because you won't be seeing your friends after," he stated.
Adrien held onto Marinette as he glared at his father, "Father, I already told you, I don't want to-" He started.
"At least until tomorrow," Gabriel interrupted, catching Adrien by surprise, "Then from tomorrow onwards, I'll need to know where and when you are taking Ms. Marinette out, so I can get you the best accommodations," He went on as raised his hand up, "And of course, we'll have to get her scanned if she is take her place as the female face of the Agreste brand." He added.
They were all surprised by what Gabriel just said, never expected him to say that. Adrien and Marinette looked at each other before turning to the man, "F-Father, does, does this mean?" Adrien asked hopefully.
"Yes, Adrien. You are staying in Paris and I will allow you to be in your relationship with Ms. Dupain-Cheng," Gabriel said with a small smile, "If that is what you want?"
Adrien then gave a big smile as he immediately ran up and hugged his father, "Thank you, Father!" He said happily.
Gabriel gave a smile at his son as he returned the hug while the others watched with big smiles at the father and son moment as the two Agrestes hugged for a while before they broke up.
Gabriel turned to Kagami, "I hope you have issues with Marinette taking your place Kagami." He asked.
Kagami shook her head, "None, Gabriel-San." She said.
Gabriel nodded and looked to Adrien, "Now go have fun, son. You've earned it," Gabriel encouraged while gesturing his hands to his friends before walking away, "I'll see you back at home."
"Okay, Dad! Thanks!" Adrien happily said as he watched his father go before turning to his friends, who smiled brightly, "So, don't we have a dance party to go to?" He asked.
They all smiled at each other and nodded as the whole group started walking back to the Eiffel Tower while Adrien and Marinette trailed behind them as they held each other hands.
"I'm glad that you are back, Adrien. I wouldn't want this any other way," Marinette said.
"And I'm glad to be with you, Marinette. And this time, I'm not leaving you. I'm here to stay." Adrien promised as Marinette smiled warmly.
Eventually, they all made it back to the Eiffel Tower and decided to take the stairs up, "Gotta say, not how I expected this night to go," Jacob said with a smile.
"It certainly was surprising that's for sure," Molly commented with a slight chuckle.
"Well, it was pretty crazy, almost a Strikeback level of crazy," Sam noted.
"But hey, at least some good came out of this in the end," Kara said while pointing towards Marinette and Adrien holding hands together, "At least those two are together,"
Daniel gave Marinette and Adrien a warm smile at seeing the two together again, "Yeah, at least some good came out of it," He said before he realized something, "Oh dang it! We completely forgot about the deal!"
Once they made it to the top floor, they all groaned in realization when they remembered the deal they made while Marinette looked confused, "What deal?" Marinette asked in wonder.
"It's a deal we made with someone to tell us where your Akuma is," Adrien said slowly while feeling nervous.
"Yeah, trust us, it was a nightmare," Nino commented.
"And it was a guy we've been trying to catch all this time," Kim added, which gave Marinette a hint of what they mean as she gasped.
"You guys teamed up with Monarch?!" Marinette yelled in shock, which made the others flinch.
"To be fair, he teamed up with us," Marc said sheepishly.
Marinette quickly started checking them over, making sure nobody was missing something, "Did he take your Miraculous?! Did he find out your identities?! Did he find out mine?!" She questioned anxiously.
"No, he didn't," Kagami assured her, "He didn't take our Miraculous or learn any of our identities, Marinette," She said.
"He made a deal that he would give us his Miraculous if we helped him deakumatize you since you were so pumped in negative emotions, even he couldn't control you," Molly explained.
"Wait, I was so powerful that not even Monarch could control me?" Marinette asked in surprise as they all nodded, "Wow, I didn't realize I was that powerful," She said, looking at her hands.
"Speaking of power," Chloe said before reaching for her ears and taking off the earrings, "I believe these belong to you, Marinette." She said, holding the earrings out to Marinette.
Marinette looked at the earring but frowned and looked away in shame, "I don't deserve those, not after what I did to Tikki,"
"Marinette, Tikki knows you didn't mean it," Chloe said with a comforting smile, "You were just heartbroken and not thinking clearly. She won't blame you for what you did. And you are the one and only Ladybug," She said as they all smiled in support of her.
"Come on Marinette, it's okay. Tikki wouldn't hold a grudge on you," Adrien assured while placing a hand on Marinette's shoulder.
Marinette smiled as she took a breath put the earrings on and then Tikki appeared in a pink flash, "Marinette!" Tikki cheered as she flew up to the girl.
"Tikki!" Marinette exclaimed as she held her Kwami while giving a guilty look. "I am so sorry for what I did! I was wrong too-" She was cut off as Tikki hugged her cheek.
"It's alright, Marinette. I forgive you and I understand. I'm just glad you're okay." Tikki comforted with a forgiving smile as Marinette held her Kwami close.
They all looked at them with smiles as Kim spoke, "Well, even though we didn't get the Butterfly Miraculous, at least things are now looking up for us. So how about we all party!" He declared.
"Yeah, we had one crazy night, so let's celebrate to destress ourselves!" Nino declared as they all cheered but just as Nino took a step he winced, "OW! Owowowow!" He yelled as he held his foot.
The others looked at him in surprise, "Nino, what's wrong?" Alya asked her boyfriend in concern.
"Ooh, ahh! I stepped on something." Nino said as rubbed his foot.
Daniel looked down where Nino and saw a silver square box with a note attached to it, "I think this is what you stepped on, Nino." He said as he picked up the box.
"A note?" Molly said in confusion.
"What does it say?" Juleka asked.
Daniel unfolded the note and read it, "'You heroes truly underestimate me, I am one always true to my word. Consider this as my way of saying, goodbye.'" He read as he saw the bottom with a 'M' at the end of it. "It's from Monarch," He said as he opened the box and gasped in shock.
Kagami raised a brow, "Is something wrong?" She asked.
Daniel turned his head to them, his face showing sheer disbelief, "Guys, you're never gonna believe this." He said as he pulled the contents of the box out to show something that made all of them gasp in shock.
"No way." Nino breathed out.
"It's-it's-it's-it's…" Alya stammered.
"Oh, my Miraculous," Rose said with her hands covering her mouth.
In Daniel's hand was a purple brooch with four silverish strips resembling the wings of a butterfly.
"The Miraculous of the Butterfly!?" Adrien called out in shock.
Marinette walked up to Daniel as she looked at it. "B-But h-h-how?! I, I, I thought Monarch…" She sputtered in disbelief.
"I guess Monarch was telling the truth after all," Daniel said, still stunned by this.
"Okay, that is amazing!" Nathaniel exclaimed.
"You actually got the one Miraculous that Marinette and Adrien have been trying to get since day one!" Zoe exclaimed with a wide smile.
"And you know what this means?" Alya said as an excited smile came to her.
They all stood that way for a moment before they looked at each other and smiled widely as they jumped up into the air. "Monarch is finally defeated!" They all cheered.
"Okay, now it's really time to celebrate!" Nino exclaimed happily.
"But first, what are gonna do with this?" Daniel asked as he gestured to the Butterfly Miraculous.
"We could always keep it in the Miracle Box to keep it away from the wrong hands," Sabrina suggested.
Marinette shook her head, "No if someone like Monarch ever shows his face again, we may need just one more hero to help us," She said.
"And from what I heard, this Miraculous was meant to be used for good to connect with people in need and give them strength, it was Monarch who used it poorly," Daniel added while looking at the brooch. "And from what we know, Nooroo has endured 100 times more punishment than the other Kwamis."
"So what are we gonna do?" Adrien asked in wonder.
Daniel looked at the brooch and as he looked to the group before his eyes landed on the perfect subject, "I think you and I both know who should take it, huh Marinette?" He asked Marinette with a grin.
Marinette understood and took the Butterfly Miraculous and turned to the selected holder, "What? What is it?" Chloe asked in confusion.
Marinette smiled, "Chloe Bourgeois, here is the Miraculous of the Butterfly which grants you the power to connect and give strength to whomever is touched by your power. You will use it for the greater good." She recited.
Chloe was surprised by this. "W-Wait, you're giving the brooch to me?" She asked in surprise. "B-But the last time I touched a Miraculous, I gave away my identity to the world, I caused more problems as Queen Bee and was Akumatized three times and on the third time I revealed almost all of your identities to Monarch."
Marinette gave a comforting smile. "Chloe, after the Zodiac Miraculous came into our lives, you've become a better person. You helped us many times, gave me the strength I need to bond with Adrien and when I was Akumatize it was you who reached out to our team and gave them back the strength they needed. That makes you the perfect holder of the Butterfly." She said, still offering the Butterfly Miraculous to Chloe.
Chloe looked at the brooch unsurely as she turned to her friends as they gave encouraging looks to her. She then turned to Daniel, and he smiled warmly and gave a nod to her. Chloe looked back at the brooch as she took a breath and gave a determined smile.
"I accept it, Ladybug," Chloe said with a small smile as she took the brooch, put it on, and with a wisp of purple light, Nooroo appeared.
"Whoa!" Nooroo said while looking around. "Where am I?" He asked.
Just then, all the Miraculous Team Kwamis flew out of their holders and huddled around Nooroo. "Nooroo!" They all cheered in relief.
"My friends!" Nooroo said happily as the Kwamis flew up and had a party of their own.
They all watched on with smiles as Sam spoke up. "Talk about a happy ending. Kagami and Adrien are back, we got all the Miraculous back and we can finally enjoy the end of the School year." He said happily.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's party!" Nino declared as they all cheered and scattered to enjoy the fun.
Daniel however stayed where he was, as he frowned in concern, "If we do have all the Miraculous? Why do I feel like we're celebrating too soon?" He wondered to himself, thinking that this victory may not be what they think it is.
"Come on, Dan! Join us!" Chloe called out from the dancefloor.
Daniel got out of his thoughts. "Uh, sure thing. Be right there." He said before looking out into the city in great concern. "I hope I'm just being paranoid." He said to himself, walking up to the others while hoping that their fight with Monarch really was over, not knowing that it was just near the tipping point.
"Gabriel-San, I cannot believe you would do this!" Tomoe shouted over Gabriel's Alliance rings, "We agreed that your son and my daughter would be the perfect couple and-"
"That was before I realized my son's happiness is my primary concern," Gabriel interrupted while looking at his ring, "My attempt of using Marinette Dupain-Cheng's broken heart to steal the Miraculous has nearly cost me the reason for my wish. My wife can never be endangered like that again, never forget Tsurgi-san, never." He warned.
Tomoe gave a firm look at Gabriel for a moment before she sighed, "Then we must proceed with our next plan, though it may prove difficult now that Adrien and Kagami are back in Paris," She told him.
Gabriel smiled, "Oh don't worry, I have that covered," He assured and held up a black box he acquired from a recent friend he made.

Monarch stared in surprise at the sight of a man in a black suit with red markings, dark skin, black hair running down to the base of his neck, a blood-red tie, yellow eyes, and around his neck was a medallion with skulls, and connected by silver chains.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" Monarch demanded.
"Calm yourself, Monarch, that's no way to speak to an old friend," The man assured with a smile.
Monarch recognized his voice as his eyes widened, "You." He said in shock.
The man put his hands behind his back, "So we finally meet, face to face." He said coyly.
"H-How is this possible? Why are you here?" Monarch questioned in shock.
"Don't play for a fool Gabriel, many have tried and paid the price," The man said with a smirk as he circled around Monarch, like a vulture around a carcass, "And a little Fox told me that while my back was turned you lost the very last Miraculous, so disappointing." He said with a shake of his head.
Monarch's eyes widened as realized who he was talking about, "Lila Rossi." He hissed out.
"But I also heard that you don't have much time left and have used the rings' Miraculous energy you managed to its limit, correct?" The man asked.
Monarch growled as he clutched his chest while sighing in defeat, "Yes, and I'm worried that they will try and steal my Miraculous next. And if that happens, well, it's quite obvious what will come next." He said regretfully.
The man then placed a hand on Monarch's shoulder, "Well, what if I told you I had the means to grant you even greater power?" He asked with a smile.
Monarch gave an interested look, "And what would that be?" He asked.
"Oh, something that surpasses your Miraculous," The man said while bringing out a box.
Monarch raised a brow as he took the box and opened it as he looked surprised, "What is this?" He asked as he pulled out a diamond-shaped brooch like his but the wing-like ribbons were more flame-like.
"A new and powerful Miraculous better than your old one," The man said, "I figured since the heroes are on your tail, why not give you a little gift to cover your tracks, all you have to do is replace your Miraculous with this one leave it for the heroes and they will think you've finally given up," He explained with a smirk.
"How did you manage this?" Monarch questioned, "I thought it was impossible to-"
"Not anymore," The man interrupted, "Let's just say your rings are a mere scratch on the surface of what I'm capable of," He noted while pointing at Monarch's Miraculous rings before turning around with his arms out. "We've existed for as long as the Miraculous themselves Gabriel, there are secrets that even the Guardians aren't aware of," He explained as Gabriel looked at him in surprise and glanced back with a smirk, "Dark secrets."
Monarch gave a smirk of his own, "Oh, this will do nicely, those heroes are in for a battle they'll never forget," He said as he held the new evil version of the Butterfly Miraculous as he looked to his partner. "Please you must tell me, who are you?" He asked him.
"You can call me, Sedah," Sedah said with a smirk and offered his hand. "And your reign as the harbinger of a new age of darkness has just begun."
"Well, Sedah, I have a feeling this will be the start of a beautiful friendship," Monarch said as the two shook hands together,
"Oh, you don't know the half of it," Sedah said with a small sinister chuckle.

Gabriel smiled at that memory as he looked at his new evil brooch, "Thanks to a good partner of mine, I now have the edge I need to turn the tides of war," He said as he rubbed the brooch, making it glow a sinister purple as he clenched his fist, "Prepare Operation: Perfect Alliance, Tusrugi-San." He ordered with an evil smirk.
"Tomorrow, the Miraculous we'll finally be ours," Tomoe said with a smirk of her own as she hung up.
"Ladybug, Cat Noir, get ready to meet, the Last Day," Gabriel said with an evil smirk and laughed loudly.
Looks like Monarch isn't out of the game yet and now the final phase of his plan is about to commence and the Miraculous Team will be in for the fight of their lives.
