The past six months is an absolute her in Sakura's opinion. Everytime that she looks into a mirror she only sees Neji's face and not hers.
She had to use disguise for the mission, and the only disguise that she can keep up for a long time that doesn't need her utmost concentration is a take on Neji's face.
Now, when she looked into the mirror, she can see long coffee-colored haired that's tied in a loose ponytail at the base of her head, wide green eyes, her face is slimmer as she took Neji's, thin lips that is always pursed.
She just wants to cry everytime she faces a mirror or a reflective surface. "Why do I have to practice my disguise jutsu on Neji? Why can't it be Ino, instead?" she berated herself. Now she cannot escape the face that haunts her.
The mission itself was easy, its just information gathering. But the people that she has to gather information from are notorious for being sadist. She cannot let her emotions go if she wants to go back to Konoha alive. She almost got caught spying on them once. It cannot happen again. She heard about they do to women captive. She can't be captured. Her life depends on it.
Then, the days seems to past her by, and six months passed since she left Konoha. She doesn't want to leave the mission yet as there are still information that she have to gather, but the mercenaries eyes are already casting suspicious glares at her. She cannot stay any longer. And in the middle of the night, she left while being hidden by the dark moon.
She arrived in Konoha after five days.
