As Sakura disappeared into the shadows, Neji couldn't shake the feeling that he had lost something irreplaceable. He turned his back to his responsibilities; he was stripped of his birthright for her. But why does it feel like she as sand in his fingers, escaping.
"She doesn't know remember that, Hyuga." A voice startled him. He turned around to the direction of the voice, falling into a figting stance.
"I'm not here to fight," Kakashi said his nose buried in the book on his hand. "so that is why you went out your way looking for her?" he asked. "Just don't hurt her, Hyuga. If I even see her shed one tear because of you, I will make sure that you will want the Caged Bird seal to be activated your whole life than face me. I'm going to use every single torture technique I learned from ANBU and every jutsu I learned on you, just to avenge her pain. I maybe not the most qualified teacher for them, but I will always take care of my team." Kakashi menacing lone eye looked at him above the book.
Neji's expression remained stoic, but the weight of Kakashi's words sank deep. He understood the gravity of the situation, the pain he could cause Sakura, and the consequences of his choices. The threat, veiled behind Kakashi's calm demeanor, resonated with Neji.
"She deserves happiness," Kakashi continued, lowering his book slightly to reveal a stern gaze. "If you can't provide that for her, then stay away. It's better for both of you."
Neji nodded, acknowledging the warning. He watched as Kakashi disappeared into the shadows, leaving him alone with his thoughts. The moon hung in the sky, a silent witness to the complexities of love, duty, and the choices that carve the path of one's destiny.
