Hi Readers: I know in the previous story there was a dream in between this chapter and the previous one, but I have decided that I am not ready to start doing dreams; nor do I want to have an identical copy of the entire story. If anything, I want to try and add more things that weren't in the original story. Now, what do you say we get back to the story? Thanks again for reading.
Chapter Nine
Bed Head Hair and Yogurt Cereal
Her husband was currently stroking her arm as they held each other close, having just woken up in each other's arms after they both took a nap; and boy was Gabby happy that this was how she and Matt woke up with each other, as it's their favorite way to wake up. Waking up in each other's arms is their favorite way to wake up, as it means that they also get to be a little intimate with each other; after all, Matt does take the chance to explore her body with his hand. And that's precisely what Matt was in the midst of doing, as he felt Gabby snake her arms around his torso even tighter than they originally were while they were taking a nap; and damn did he love this feeling, and not just the feeling of having Gabby's arms around him. The truth is, this is now his best life; at least, compared to what they had a month earlier. This life is better because of how happy they both are with each other, even if they aren't at home. Then again, they are at home…because they have each other. Gabby is his home, as is their future child. Their baby girl.
And no, Matt isn't mad at all that they're having a daughter first; or, at least, they think they're having a daughter first. And that's due to the fact that he wants to have a daughter more than anything in the entire world, just like he wants to figure out just what they're going to do with their money. And that most certainly includes whether they're going to start a business or not, which is something that he really does have on his mind when it comes to what he might want to do with their money. And yes, Matt's saying that it's their money; and that's due to the fact that they're (a) going to spent it together, and (b) are going to make decisions together when it comes to the business. However, there's one thing that he really loves about the idea of having this money as it means that he never needs to return to the CFD. Rather, he thinks he's going to go ahead and start a business due to the fact that it's something that really peaks his interested, based on something he might create in Chicago; something he's thought about after dreaming about it.
But right now, isn't the time for him to introduce the idea when they instead need to wake up, and because he just wants to take it easy with his beautiful wife; and that's precisely what he's started doing as he bent down and kissed his gorgeous why, while also wrapping his arm around her head and placing his hand on Gabby's neck. That way, they can both just take things nice and slow with each other here in the comfort of their bed. Yet, at the same time, he couldn't help but try and hold back a laugh that he had on the tip of his tongue; a laugh that was about the bed head that his wife was currently suffering from. And there was a very good reason why Matt had to make sure that he didn't make her upset by laughing, which was due to the fact that he wants to run his hands all over Gabby's body in the lingerie that she was wearing for him right now. And it seemed that Gabby wants to do the same with his body, but maybe with him being shirtless; something that he could only guess as he felt her run her hand up his shirt.
And that only made him wonder one thing: "Do you want me to take off my shirt for you?" Taking a breath when Matt asked her whether she wants him to take off his shirt for her, Gabby rolled over onto her side so that they were laying down side-by-side in bed; after which, Matt did the same and got close to his beautiful wife. After which, he wrapped his arm around Gabby's back and brought her body against his chest; while she slipped her legs in between his, placing her hands on his face at the same time. "Matt…" Getting concerned for Gabby as he placed his hand on Gabby's hip, Matt pressed his lips to her forehead. "You okay baby?" Taking a breath, Gabby looked up at Matt. "I don't want to have sex Matt, promise?" Matt agreed with his wife, before pushing at strand of hair behind her ear as he leaned his forehead against hers. "I promise to keep my shirt on then." Gabby looked up at Matt while shaking her head, as that wasn't what she wanted him to do; rather, she wanted him to take off his shirt so that things can be fair.
After all, she's wearing lingerie for him; but, he was wearing a shirt. "I think it'd be fair for you to be shirtless, as I'm just wearing lingerie for you." Matt smirked as Gabby mentioned that, as that's the truth, which also means that he needs to do something for his beautiful wife: he needs to take off his shirt. So, he rolled over in bed and got up so that he could do precisely what Gabby wanted him to do; he got up so that he could take off his shirt, while also flexing his muscles as a way to tease his wife. After which, he carried it over to his dresser so that he could set it down; while Gabby smirked at the man she loves, as she stared at just how gorgeous that man is. Something which Matt already knew she was doing as he folded up his shirt and set it down on top of his dresser, while also grabbing his deodorant. "So, do you like the sight in front of you?" Gabby laughed and smiled, as she most certainly does like the sight of her husband in his tight boxers. "I think you already know the answer to that question." Matt agreed with Gabby as he smiled.
After which, he turned around to face his gorgeous wife; while also smirking because of how sexy she is, and just how lucky he is to have her as his wife. "So, I had this dream while we were taking a nap." Gabby agreed with Matt as he mentioned that he had a dream while they were napping. "Care to share if the dream was about our baby?" Matt shook his head when Gabby asked him whether it was a dream about the baby she was pregnant with at the moment, because it wasn't. "No, it was about something that we might be doing next year, us creating a business." Gabby was a bit surprised to hear Matt say that. "Really?" Matt nodded. "Not sure entirely, but I am just thinking about it." Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt, as she could really see him being a businessman. "Come here." Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling as he set his deodorant down before making his way back to bed after putting some on. After which, he sat down on his side of the bed while facing the woman he loves. Meanwhile, Gabby grabbed his hand and smiled at him.
Meanwhile, Matt looked at his wife. "I hope you know that I would only do it with you, because I would want you to help me; I don't really think I could do it alone anyways." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that was something that she can already guarantee; that they're going to do it together. "Baby, I promise that we're in this together." Moving close to Matt, Gabby smiled as she felt him place his hand on her neck; meanwhile, she placed her hand on his arm and smiled as she leaned in and kissed the man she loves softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as she loves him too. "I love you too." Matt smirked, agreeing with the woman he loves. "How are you feeling right now? Do you need to take it easy some more?" Gabby shook her head as Matt asked her whether she needed to rest some more. "I could definitely go for a sexy kiss from my loving husband." Matt smirked as Gabby said that, before climbing back into bed and pushing her down onto her back, while also placing his hand on her stomach.
After which, he hovered over his wife and just smiled as he looked at her; meanwhile, Gabby placed her hand on Matt's face. Smiling, she took things nice and slow with him as this is precisely what she wants to do with Matt right now. She wants to hold the man she loves close to her, as they have fun and just concentrate on each other. "So, how do you like being wealthy?" Gabby laughed when Matt asked her how she likes being wealthy. "I like it because it means that I get to live a nice life with the man of my dreams, and I also get to see him in boxers much more often." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, smiling as he stared into her eyes; while also placing his hand on her stomach and smirking due to how truly happy they both are at the moment. "Listen, so I was thinking…if we're going to run a business together, I want us to promise something together." Gabby nodded as she looked into Matt's eyes when he said that. "And what promise might that be?" Matt smiled at the woman he loves, before bending down and kissing her softly.
After which, he shared just what he wants them to promise each other while stroking her cheek. "I want us to promise each other that we're in this together, and that if we start a company…we do it together; and I mean it when I say that I want to do it together, as equal partners." Gabby agreed with Matt when he mentioned that he wants to create a business, and not just him with him doing it alone; but instead, he wants to do it together. "Well, that's something that I like the sound of. Us doing it together. We can figure it out and brainstorm, as I don't want to go too fast." Matt agreed with Gabby, as that's the truth. "I need to rest and just take it easy, because I really want to meet our baby." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Are you still nervous when it comes to that?" Sighing, Gabby looked down; while Matt laid down on his side some more and continued to stroke her stomach with his thumb. "I guess, I'm just worried after last time." Matt agreed with his wife, as that made sense; of course, she was worried after last time.
But he honestly believes that they have nothing to worry about, because the doctor said that. "Well, we can always try and concentrate on something else." Gabby agreed with Matt. "Like what?" Matt smiled. "Well, we can start shopping for our little one." Gabby smiled when Matt told her that, as that was something that she wants to do. She wants to start shopping for their baby. "We can only do gender-neutral since we don't know the gender yet." Matt agreed. "Or, we can start working on the nursery that we're going to put in the corner of our room." Gabby smiled. "I like the sound of that. I just hope you're ready for crying babies in the middle of the night." Matt laughed, as he's more than ready for that. "Babe, I'm more than ready for that." Giving Matt a bit of side-eye, Gabby highly doubted that; but he was being serious. "Babe, I've wanted to be a father for my entire life; why wouldn't I want the crying in the middle of the night?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as that made a lot of sense.
It makes sense because it's everything that they've ever wanted. "I promise you Gabby, I'm going to be more than happy to get up and grab our little one for you. In fact, it'll be my honor to get our little one for you in the middle of the night." Gabby smiled as she stared into Matt's eyes, before placing her hand on the side of his face and leaning her forehead against his, which prompted Matt to do the same as he bent down and kiss her softly. "God, I love you so much; and I'm so glad that this is our life." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling at her. "Yeah, I'm glad that this is our life. Now, what are we shopping for?" Gabby smiled. "What do you think of shopping for a girl? I just have this feeling that we're having a daughter." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he kissed her softly. "Listen, let's get shopping for our little one. That's all we need to concentrate on right now after all." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling as that's precisely what she wants to concentrate on right now; they want to concentrate on their little girl, not a business.
Climbing back into bed after getting a snack for him and Gabby, Matt smiled as he looked at her as she looked at things they can buy for their little girl on her iPad. "So, what are we thinking for colors?" Turning her head, Gabby looked at the snack that Matt brought her. "Ok, what's that?" Matt smirked. "Yogurt Cereal." Going to grab the bowl, Gabby shrugged as she looked at it. "So, listen. I just want to make sure that we're in agreement. We're doing shopping right now, rather than working on the business; right?" Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Yes, we're concentrating on shopping for our little girl rather than the business." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as she was happy; especially as he pressed his lips to her forehead. "Oh, now I love that feeling." Matt agreed with his wife, before unwrapping his arm from around her; after which, he went to take a bite of the snack that he just got for the two of them. "Make sure to eat your snack babe." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at him.
After which, she went to look at the online store while eating. "Oh, by the way. I just got a text from Kelly. He said thanks for paying. What might you have paid for?" Matt sighed as he looked at Gabby, as he knew that he forgot to tell her something. "Sorry, I meant to tell you about that. Uhm, I offered to cover Benny's hospital bills if it comes down to that. I know that hospital bills can get expensive, so I wanted to tell Kelly that I got him covered rather than have him go into debt." Gabby smiled as she grabbed Matt's hand and agreed with her husband. "I think that's a great idea, at least if the CFD doesn't pay for them first." Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby. "Thanks for not getting mad at me for that." Closing the covers on top of him, Matt went to take a bite of his yogurt; while Gabby set her iPad down and turned to face her husband as she did the same. "Matt, I promise that I won't be mad at you when it comes to that. I can't, because it's precisely what I would've wanted to do as well. I want to pay for his hospital bills." Matt agreed with Gabby.
After which, he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves softly. "So, you want to do anything while we're sitting in bed and eating our snack?" Gabby smiled. "We could watch a movie. Oh, but first; I forgot to ask, did you put the leftover steak in the fridge? I meant to ask." Matt nodded. "Yeah, we can have it for supper if you'd like." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she's like that. "Maybe some rice to go with it?" Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby as that sounded like the perfect supper. "Rice with leftover steak sounds perfect." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as she looked at me. "So, are you okay with me having put the Hallmark Channel on? I know you aren't the biggest man of these Christmas movies." Matt smiled as Gabby mentioned that. "Gabby, do I love you?" Gabby was a bit taken aback when she heard Matt ask her that. "Yes?" Matt snickered. "Then, there's your answer. I'm more than okay with watching it." Gabby shook her head and smiled as she looked at her man. "I'm glad that money hasn't changed you. I still see that you're you."
Matt agreed with his wife, smiling at her. "I promise Gabby, that's not something you're ever going to have to worry about; because I don't plan on changing who I am, or my morals just because I'm wealthy. Sure, we live here now; but we can always go back to Chicago anytime you want. It's still our home. I mean, if that's what you want to call Chicago." Gabby smirked as I asked her (1) whether she wants to go back to Chicago, and (2) whether she still wants to call it home. "We can go back every once and a while, but on commercial in business class. I am never flying in economy again." I laughed when Gabby told me that. "Or we can fly first class." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Yeah, not when we have kids." I smirked. "We just get a private then. Or, we rent one. I mean, I am not flying business or economy with two kids." Gabby thought about it. "How much does a private jet cost?" Matt laughed. "It's a couple million I think. But, we can afford it." Gabby agreed with me. "Just as long as we stay the same, we stay who we were in Chicago."
Hearing Gabby say that again, Matt could just tell that she was worried about that; so, he decided to ask her about that. "Gabby, is that something that worries you? Us changing because of the money, or our friends thinking that we've changed?" Gabby took a breath, while also putting her spoon in her yogurt while looking at Matt; meanwhile, Matt reached for her hand and grabbed it. "Gabby, you can be honest with me; I promise." Taking a breath, Gabby agreed with Matt. "Yeah, I'm a bit worried about us changing; not that I don't plan on trying my best to make sure that I don't change, because I want to stay who I am. I don't want to be the person who forgets about the best friend she lost." Going to take a bite, Matt was shocked when he heard Gabby say that as that wasn't something that he wanted to hear. "Woah, back up. Gabby, do you really think that you could forget about Shay someday?" Gabby shrugged as Matt asked her that question, which just broke his heart; because that's just horrible, especially since he knows it won't.
Matt's POV:
Setting my bowl of yogurt down on my side table, I decided to get close to Gabby so that I could comfort her. "Can you set your bowl down on your side table Gabby?" Gabby agreed with me, nodding as that's precisely what she did; after which, she turned to face me again and cuddled up to me (while placing her hand on my chest). Meanwhile, I placed my hand on top of hers and just held her close. "Gabby, I want you to listen to me, okay?" Gabby nodded as I told her that, while I wrapped my arm around her. "Gabby, you're never going to forget Shay; I know that, because I'm never going to forget Andy. They're always going to be part of us, wherever we go babe. Gabby, Shay is a part of you…and that won't change just because we live in Hawaii now; that's a fact, and it's something that I can already tell you that you don't need to worry about it. I already know we aren't going to forget our best friends." Gabby agreed with me. After which, she leaned up and kissed me softly. "Sorry for thinking that way." I shook my head as I held her close to me.
"Hey, it's okay. You just need to talk to me and make sure that you know that I'm here for you. We can always talk, and we can make sure that we always remember our best friends. If you ever feel like you're forgetting Shay, then just look at your engagement ring babe; remember, she picked it our for you with me." Gabby smiled as she remembered that, before placing her hand on the side of my face; after which, she turned my head and brought my lips down to hers. Taking things slow with me, she smiled as we both just held each other close for a moment; that was, until she whispered to me. "I want to kiss you when we're done eating our snack." I agreed with Gabby, as I want to do the same thing. I want to kiss her nice and slowly when we're done eating our snack. "Can't wait." Going to reach over to my side table after letting Gabby go, I smiled as I went to grab my yogurt once more; while Gabby did the same so that we could eat our snack. "Just don't rush, okay baby? Remember, health first." Gabby agreed with me, smiling at me.
After all, that's precisely what we need to concentrate on first. We need to concentrate on our health first.
Gabby's Thoughts:
God, I just feel really stupid after thinking that I would ever forget about Shay. I mean, how in the world did I even think that way? I mean, she's my best friend and she helped Matt pick out my engagement right. So, I literally have a piece of her on my finger. There's just no way that I could ever forget Shay. Shay is part of me, part of my heart. And that's actually what I need to remember, she's another part of me and will be here with me for the rest of my life. But, for Matt to offer to fly me back to Chicago if I ever feel like I'm forgetting her, well that's just the best thing in the entire world. Well, not the forgetting her part; but Matt wanting to do whatever he can for me, it just makes me love him so much. And I am so glad that he's my husband. I am truly honored to have the honor to call him both my husband and the father of our child. He's just going to be the best father in the entire world, and I can't wait to see him be a dad. However, I just know that I'm going to have to be the disciplinarian in our family, because he's too good a sweet talk.
Then again, he can also be quite stern and can play bad cop too; something he did before I left to go to Puerto Rico, when he did what he did because he was thinking he was saving my life. But now, we both know that I don't have an aneurysm, and I have to admit that I love that; I love that I don't have an aneurysm as it means that I'm going to be here for Matt and our children for the rest of our lives. It's going to be incredible, and I am just so happy right now. Matt makes me feel like such a lucky woman, and I am more than ready to just hold my man close to me. I want to take it easy and just relax with him for the rest of my life, especially now that I got a bit too deep into thought; thoughts that I don't need to think about right now, as I instead need to concentrate on eating my yogurt. And that's precisely what I'm doing right now. I'm concentrating on eating my yogurt ahead of me and Matt holding each other close here in the comfort of our bed; something I can't wait to do as I love the feeling of his strong arms around me when I can get them.
