Hi Readers: I hope that you guys are enjoying the new version of this story, a new version which combines and splits up certain chapters. And in the last chapter, we did both of those things; we combined the original chapter 77 with part of chapter 78. But now, we need to do something else, which would be to merge the rest of chapter 78, with the original chapter 79 to create this chapter. I'm not sure how we're going to do it, but all I know is that I love this new version of the story that I'm writing for you; especially since it's all about experimenting and just seeing whether I can make some things better for you (in my opinion). Now, back to it.

Chapter Thirteen
The Caseys Celebrate Two Years – Part Three

As she read the text messages which Matt just showed her on his phone, Gabby couldn't help but smile while also laying her head down on his chest, which was extremely comfortable, both for her and Matt. So much so, that Matt ended up wrapping his arm around Gabby the moment she laid down on his chest again as a way to hold her close to him, which is precisely what he wants to do today on their anniversary, a day where he wants to do nothing but take it easy with the woman he loves. The woman who was clearly tired as she was struggling to keep her eyes open. "Don't even think about telling me to sleep, I'm just blinking more as a way to stay awake." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, while turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead. "Anyways, I'm trying not to sleep as much today, because it's our last anniversary before we're parents." Matt agreed with his wife when she mentioned that it's their last anniversary before they're parents; however, that doesn't mean that he wants Gabby to deprive herself of sleep.

If she needs to sleep, then he'd rather she'd sleep and just take a nap on his chest; because they have plenty of time to celebrate, including tomorrow. "Gabby, honestly, it's fine. You can sleep all you want, you're pregnant; plus, we can celebrate tomorrow too, as this doesn't just need to be a one-day thing if you don't want it to. Plus, I still owe you from last year since we didn't really celebrate our anniversary." Gabby agreed with her husband, as that most certainly is they truth; they didn't celebrate that much last year on their second wedding anniversary. "I know, and I hate that. But listen, maybe we can not think about how we both hate the fact that we didn't celebrate our anniversary in 2017." Moving his fingers to Gabby's back, Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife as he ran his fingers up and down her back, while also turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead. Meanwhile, Gabby just took a breath as she got comfortable here in Matt's arms; while he set his phone down and grabbed the TV remote so he could turn the TV on.

After which, he decided to just change the channel to the Hallmark Channel right away as he knew that's precisely the channel which Gabby wanted to watch; in fact, he even did so right before Gabby was about to ask him to put the Hallmark Channel on. So, instead of asking him the question as she spoke, she instead went ahead and thanked the man of her dreams for doing so on his own. "Thanks for putting it back on the Hallmark Channel, I really enjoy their movies as they're nice and relaxing; also, they get you in the Christmas season in my opinion." Agreeing with Gabby, Matt smiled as he pressed his lips to her forehead once more; while also running his hand up and down her back, which made Gabby shiver. However, Matt took the shivering as if she's cold; so, he tugged the covers up on top of the both of them. An action which Gabby appreciated, regardless of whether that was what she wanted or not; because at the end of the day, she always wants to be all cuddled up to Matt under the covers due to how comfortable she always is like this.

She just loves the feeling of them cuddling up to each other, regardless of the fact that they're in Hawaii. "So, I assume that you don't want to take a walk later now that I've slept?" Turning his head to look down at Gabby, Matt shook his head and smirked as that was the last thing he wanted to do; not when he's all comfortable with the woman he loves, the woman who's legs he just wrapped his own legs around so that he could (inadvertently) tell her that they weren't going anywhere. (Only to tell her as well). "I don't want to leave bed unless we absolutely have to, as I'm very comfortable with you in my arms; and I'll always be very comfortable whenever you're in my arms." Gabby smiled when Matt said that he's comfortable here, and that he doesn't want to move, as she feels the same way about not wanting to move from this spot. She's very comfortable with her husband as he holds her in his arms on their wedding anniversary. However, there is one thing she does still want to do; she wants to take a bath at some point; so, they'll have to move.

At least, they'll have to move for that since they can't take a bath in bed. But first, she decided to ask Matt what he thought of them taking one of those baths with each other later. "So, you remember how you got me those nice baths that we can use?" Matt agreed with Gabby, especially since he knows exactly which baths she was talking about; she was talking about the baths that he got her as part of his anniversary gift to her. "I promise Gabby, we can take a bath later; and we can take one whenever you want." Gabby agreed with Matt when he mentioned that they can take a bath later, especially since she has a feeling that may be the only intimate time they get with each other. "Good, because I have a feeling that may be the only intimate time you're going to get with me today." Looking down at his wife, Matt nodded as he pressed his lips to her forehead, while also running his fingers up and down her back as his way of telling her that it was okay. "That's okay Gabby, because you're my priority and will always be my priority."

Gabby agreed with her husband as she listened to him. "I'm more than okay with us just taking it easy today, I promise; I promise that I don't need sex on our anniversary, even though we may not get a chance to do so next year." Gabby laughed as Matt said that, well aware that was the case. "You may even be a bit distracted with a certain six-month-old baby girl to want to spend time with me." Shaking his head, Matt smiled as he looked down at the woman of his dreams. "Hey, of course not. I can already promise you that we're going to take time to celebrate our anniversary, regardless of the fact that we're going to have a six-month-old daughter. Yes, am I going to want to spend time with our little girl? Of course, I am. But our anniversary is special, as it's a day other than Valentine's Day where we can celebrate how much we love each other." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as she ran her hand down his toned chest. After which, she bent down and kissed it; while Matt ran his hand up and down her back, before stroking her lingerie.

The lingerie which he couldn't help but wonder if she was still comfortable in. "You're still comfortable in this lingerie, right baby?" Turning her head to look up at Matt, Gabby nodded as she's very comfortable in her lingerie. "Of course, I'm comfortable in this lingerie baby, I am very comfortable because I'm in your arms as we cuddle up to each other in bed." Matt smiled, agreeing with the woman of his dreams; after which, he turned his head and pressed his lips to her forehead softly. Meanwhile, Gabby laid her head down on his chest so that she could listen to his heart; while also listening to Matt, as he continued to speak to her. "So, listen, I found a recipe that I was thinking of making for you tonight for supper. However, I want to make sure that you think your stomach is up for it first." Gabby agreed with her husband, smiling as she looked up at him. "I think I'll be feeling better, as I already am." Matt smiled and agreed with Gabby, while also pressing his lips to her forehead. "So, now comes my next question." Gabby was confused.

I mean, what's with all the questions? That's precisely what she was thinking about asking Matt, until she realized what was up with all the questions: he was trying to figure out their anniversary plans and adapt them based on how she feels at the moment, which is very romantic if you asked Gabby. "Where would you like to have supper? I was thinking we could do it on the back porch, but we can also do it in bed if you aren't feeling the best." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling as she slipped up his chest and placed her hand on his face; while also leaning her forehead against his, as they both held each other close. "I feel okay baby, just take a breath and relax." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling as that's something he can do. "I don't care if I'm not feeling the best on our anniversary, you deserve to celebrate too. I can get out of bed for thirty minutes to have supper, then we can come back to bed; and I can always change my mind mid-supper here." Matt agreed with his wife as she most certainly can, just like he can kiss her softly.

And that's precisely what he did as he placed his hand on the side of her face, while also taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at him. "I love you too." Kissing him one last time, Gabby proceeded to lay down on his chest; cuddling up to him, she wrapped her arms around his muscular torso and smiled as she felt him kiss the top of her head. After which, she tugged the covers up on top of the both of them and just rubbed his chest. "Thanks for already making this such a great day baby." Matt agreed Gabby as she said that, smiling as he pressed his lips to her forehead. "It's my pleasure." Gabby then decided to flirt with her husband a bit. "No, you're my guilty pleasure." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, before pressing his lips to her forehead and leaving some kisses on it, which is exactly what Gabby wanted right now. She wanted to feel his lips on her forehead, as they both cuddled up to each other and just held each other in bed; especially since it gives them time to talk.

And right now, that's precisely what Matt decided they were going to do as they still needed to talk about a certain topic; however, Gabby decided to bring it up first. "Matt, can I ask you something?" Matt agreed with his wife as he smiled at her. "Always baby." Turning her head, Gabby looked up at Matt. "What are we doing for Christmas?" Laughing, Matt just ran his hand up and down Gabby's back, which just left Gabby concerned, prompting her to sit up and look down at the man she loves. "What's so funny? I'm asking you a serious question about Christmas." Matt agreed with Gabby, well aware that was the case. "I know, and I'm not laughing at that. I'm laughing because I literally just started to think about that too." Gabby was surprised. "Really?" Matt nodded, smiling at the woman of his dreams. "Yeah, I was just thinking about it because I want to know what we're doing when it comes to Severide and our families." Gabby took a breath when Matt asked her that question, well aware that he wanted to invite Severide to join them.

And honestly, she thinks it's a great idea for them to invite him; especially with everything that's going on with his dad, they think it'd be good for him to come here. Plus, that means that Gabby gets to see Stella; as well as the rest of their family, who they will fly down. "Ok, we are going to pay for all the tickets." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Yes, of course we are." Gabby agreed with her husband, smiling as she cuddled up to him. "So, I want to just think about this. I want to invite Kelly and Stella here for Christmas." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that's what she wanted too. "I actually thought about that too and I think that's going to be a must, because he needs to get out of the city." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling as he ran his hand up and down her back; after which he kissed the top of her head as they both held each other close. And damn was it comfortable and exactly what they both want to be doing right now. They want to hold each other close and just take it easy with each other as they think about Christmas and their plans.

Coming back from the kitchen with some fresh waters for him and Gabby after taking a quick breather, Matt smiled as he thought he was going to find Gabby in bed; however, that wasn't where she was. Rather, he heard her in the bathroom. The reason? She wasn't feeling the best again. "Oh, c'mon!" Going to set both his and Gabby's water bottles down, Matt soon made his way over to the bathroom so that he could be with his girl. But, he made sure to knock before he came in; only to see that the woman he loves sitting on the floor seemingly crying. "Hey, what's wrong?" Looking up at Matt after hearing his voice, Gabby tried to hide the tears that were in her eyes; however, she couldn't. Not when Matt already knew that she was crying, which is why he was in here in the first place. He just knew in his heart that he had to make his way in here, and Gabby's glad he did. Especially now that he was in front of her and bending down. "Hey, you okay." Gabby just took a breath as she looked at her husband, before slipping over.

After which, Matt proceeded to sit down on the ground and wrapped his arm around his wife to hold her close. Turning his head, he pressed his lips to the side of her head as they both held each other close. "Gabby, talk to me. What's going on?" Gabby took a breath as Matt asked her what was going on, only to turn her head and looked at the man she loves. "I just hate that I ruined the good things that was going on." Matt shook his head, as that was the last thing she did. "You didn't ruin anything baby, you just got sick and had to feel better. I mean that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before laying her head down on his shoulder. At the same time, Matt reached for her hand and stroked it with his thumb so that he could hold her close to him; turning his head, he pressed his lips to her forehead to make sure that she knew how much he loved her. "I love you Gabby, you know that right?" Gabby agreed with her husband, as she did know that. "Of course, I do baby." Turning his head, Matt smiled as he looked down into her eyes.

After which, he offered to do something for her. "Listen, do you want me to run us a bath? We can take one together, where you can relax and take it easy." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loved the idea of them taking a bath so that she can relax and take it easy. After all, that's what she needs right now. She needs to take a bath and relax with him. "I can't wait." Matt smiled, agreeing with the woman he loves as he turned his head and kissed her softly. "Listen, you just stay here; I'll help you up in a minute." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that's something she can do; while also watching him get up so he can start the bath, only for her to slap his ass in those tight boxers of his. Turning around when she did that, Matt was surprised. "HEY!" Gabby smirked as she looked at the man of her dreams. "I may feel like crap, but that doesn't mean that I don't like to tease you." Matt agreed with the woman he loves, smiling at her. "Listen, I'm going to go grab us a bath bomb." Gabby smiled. "Can you get the Vanilla one?" Matt nodded. "I was going to get Lavender, but…"

Gabby then stopped Matt. "Then get that one, that one's better. I didn't see that one." Matt laughed. "Because I bought that one separately. I wanted to have a full set for the future, and a special one for our anniversary." Gabby smiled, feeling incredibly lucky to have him as her husband. "Did I ever tell you how lucky I am to be your wife?" Walking up to Gabby, Matt smiled as he decided to help her up by extending his hand. "And I am a very lucky man to have you as my wife." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Matt as she got up; after which, she stepped close to him and smiled as they both intertwined their fingers. Getting close to Gabby, Matt leaned in and smiled as he kissed her softly. "Oh, vomit mouth." Gabby just glared at her husband as he said that. "Your fault!" Matt just looked at his wife as she said that. "How's that my fault!" Gabby then pointed to her stomach. "You knocked me up!" Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, before stepping close to her and placing his hands on her hips once more, while she placed her hands on his chest.

Leaning in, Matt smirked as he kissed Gabby softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as she knew that was the truth. "I love you too." Matt smiled as he agreed with Gabby. "Listen, I'm going to get you the Vanilla Bath bomb…and your next anniversary gift." Gabby was surprised. "Another gift?" Matt smiled and agreed with Gabby, as he did get her something else. "Are you complaining that your husband wants to spoil you?" Gabby shook her head, as she'll never complain that he wants to spoil her. "Never. Now, I'm going to run us a bath. Oh, do you need to put the bath bomb in first?" Matt shook his head. "No, you can run the bath, the bomb goes in after. And believe me when I say this, you're going to love your other gift." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as she kissed him softly. "I'm sure I will, because you're giving it to me." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling as he proceeded to walk out of the bathroom so that he could get her next gift and a bath bomb.

Gabby's Thoughts:
Even when I feel like crap, I still feel like the most beautiful and loved woman in the entire world simply due to the way Matt treats me. He's the man of my dreams, and I am so proud that I get to call him my husband. The man I love, and the man of my dreams. He's just the best man for me, and I am so glad that this is our life. But above all else, I'm glad that we're getting this time with each other. Time which we should've taken with each other during the many hard times in our loves so that we could concentrate on each other, and just make sure that we healed from everything that we went through. And while it isn't exactly the reason we're taking all this time alone with each other (as the reason is for us to just take it easy and relax as we start this new life), I am grateful for this time that I'm getting with Matt because of how much I love him. How grateful I am that we're getting time together, ahead of the birth of our baby.

It's absolutely perfect, just like the bath that we're going to take together. It'll help me relax which is exactly what I need to do right now. Add in the fact that Matt's going to be in the bath with me (hopefully giving me a massage), then I think I can confidently say that this bath we're about to take together will feel like a little slice of heaven on earth. But now, it's time for me to start the bath for us so that it was ready when Matt comes back, I just can't wait to see what his gift for me is going to be. Though, I already know that I'm going to love it because it's a gift from Matt; and so far, I've loved all the gifts he's already gotten for me. He's truly spoiling me, and I am so happy right now. Hell, I'm happy simply due to the fact that he's my husband; I don't need anything more. But, I will gladly take whatever he wants to give me due to the fact that I love the idea of getting gifts from my man. The man I love more than anything.

Walking back into the bathroom after getting Gabby's gifts, Matt smiled as he looked at Gabby as she sat down on the edge of their bath in her towel; clearly waiting for him to come back, he just knew for a fact that she was more than ready to get in the bath with him. But first, he decided that he was going to show her the gift that he got for her. "So, I think I heard a rumor going around that my wife wants to know what her next anniversary gift is?" Turning to look at Matt, Gabby smiled as she most certainly does want to know what he next gift is. "Well, I can confirm that rumor as I do want to know what my next gift is." Getting up in her towel, Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt. "Well, you can either try it on now…or you can try it on after we're doing in the bath." Gabby was confused as Matt said that, while also making her way over to her towel-clad husband. "What are you talking about?" Matt smiled as he brought Gabby's new robe out from behind his back. "Happy anniversary baby." Gabby just looked at Matt when she saw the robe. "Oh boy." Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby as he could clearly see that she already liked what she was seeing. A cozy bathrobe.

A robe that she can wear around the house. "God, you knew exactly what I wanted." Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling as he set it down, while also getting close to the woman he loves. After which, he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her softly. "I spoke to my sister about what her necessities were during the winter while she was pregnant. She said a cozy robe, so I got you one." Gabby smiled, as that was smart. "Smart." Matt smiled as Gabby said that. "Yes, I am very smart. And I am also the man who loves you more than anything and will always try my best to make you happy." Gabby smiled, agreeing with the man she loves as she kissed him. "Here, can I try it on as you put the bath bomb in the water?" Matt agreed with his wife as she asked him that question, before grabbing the robe once again. "I mean, you'll just wear it…" Gabby glared at her husband, as she can always change her mind about him joining her in the bath. "Do you want to join me in the bath or not?" Matt gulped, as he does want to join her in the bath. "I do." Gabby nodded. "Then let me try on MY damn robe." Matt agreed with Gabby, before opening it for the woman he loves.

After which, he moved behind her and smirked as he went ahead and put it on over her shoulders. "There we go, nice and comfortable like you want." Gabby agreed with Matt as she slipped her arms into the robe, before tying it up and smiling as she admired herself in the mirror; after which, Matt walked up behind her and placed his hands on her hips. Bending down, he smirked as he pressed his lips to her neck as a way to tease her. "I love you. Happy anniversary baby." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at the man of her dreams. "How about you do me a favor and get the bath set up for me? Then, we can get in together and just hold each other close?" Matt agreed with his wife, as that's precisely what he wants to do. He wants to get in the bath with the woman he loves, where he can hold her close and just take it easy with her. "Can't wait." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at the man of her dreams as she got ready to take a nice bath with her husband on their second wedding anniversary. Their last one before they become parents.
