Epilogue

Admiral Asimov sat at his desk looking at the couple in front of him standing arm in arm. He was exasperated as evidenced by the drumming of his fingers.

"I appreciate your honest concerning your relationship. Unfortunately, I have all the executive officers already in the crew, so we are not talking about those positions." he spoke.

Buck replied "we understand we are talking about being pilots"

"We don't have any issues with that" Wilma added.

Still the Admiral hesitated. He had a big dilemma here. He could add two crew members with outstanding skills, crew members that would be real assets to the mission. But they would be violating one of his firmest rules: No fraternizing. It was not that he had issues with the crew members fraternizing, it was the drama the ensued with their relationships fell apart that he hated.

"You know Admiral, we do know how to be discrete if you are worried about issues with other crew members" Buck told him.

Admiral Asimov sighed again; he had come to a decision.

"Captain Rogers I would like to offer you the open lead pilot position. Col. Deerimg though I think you would be of greater service as the chief communications officer." He said

Buck and Wilma looked at each other and they both nodded.

"Thank you, Admiral," said Buck, "you won't regret it" added Wilma.

"Then only thing left to say is Welcome to the crew of The Searcher"
