It was a summer day in the Mushroom Kingdom, and everyone was in a hot mood. "I'm boiling up!", Lincoln said, to which his whole body was drenched with sweat.
"Tell me about it.", Mario said, to which he was with Lincoln. Suddenly, there was a letter that slid through the door. "What's this?", Lincoln asked, to which he noticed that the letter was for him and Lucy.
"Dear Lucy and Lincoln, I know you didn't mean to destroy the rose bushes. You were just trying to help, and as a special reward, you two are invited to a pool party at my castle. Love, Princess Peach.", Lincoln read.
"A pool party!", Lincoln said, "I'd love too, I better get Lucy!". Lucy was in the bathroom, brushing her teeth. "Who is it?", Lucy said, her mouth full of toothpaste, to which Lincoln opened the door. "Hey, sis.", Lincoln said, "The Princess just invited the both of us for a pool party.".
"Oh...", Lucy said, to which she spits out the toothpaste. "Sorry, but I can't come.", she said, to which her older brother said, "Why?".
"Well, I have to attend something for Ashley.", Lucy said, "Some type of witch party.". "Oh, okay.", Lincoln said, "I guess I'll be the lone wolf then.".
Soon, Lincoln arrived at the castle, and was greeted by Princess Peach. "Why, Lincoln.", Peach said, "I'm so glad you came, but where's Lucy?". "Oh, she has other plans.", Lincoln said, to which he was walked into the castle, and into the pool room.
"That's a huge pool!", Lincoln said, to which some of the other swimmers were swimming. "Peach!", called out a voice, which belongs to Daisy, one of Peach's friends.
"Daisy!", Peach said, "It's so good to meet you.". "You must be Lincoln, aren't you.", Daisy said, to which Lincoln said, "Yes?". "Lincoln's one of the new residents in the kingdom, along with his sister Lucy.", Peach said. "Say, where is Lucy?", Daisy asked.
"Lincoln said that she has some important thing that she has to attend, so he came by himself.", Peach said. "Now if you excuse us.", Daisy said, "We'll be in the changing rooms.".
When Peach and Daisy got out of the changing room, Peach said, "This stupid top!", as she was struggling to snap it. "Peach, this is why I told you not to buy those cheap bathing suits!", Daisy said.
"Well, I can't get an expensive one, because of those times Bowser destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom, and the gold coins are always used for repairs!", Peach said. "Well, he now signed a peace treaty, right?", Daisy asked.
"Yeah, but still.", Peach said, "Now, who's gonna help me?". "Not it!", Daisy remarked, to which the others did the same thing, except for Lincoln. "You got to be kidding me, right?", Lincoln said, before eventually agreeing.
Twelve seconds later, the mishap of the top has been fixed. "There,", Lincoln said all annoyed, "Happy now.". "That's no way to treat the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, isn't it!", Peach said.
"Well, maybe it's because he probably did this all the time!", Daisy said, but soon Lincoln said, "Girls, arguing is not a great way to start this party!". "You're right.", Peach and Daisy said in unison, "Let's just go have a blast!".
Throughout the pool party, everyone was having fun. Birdo dove from the diving board, and several Yoshis were surrounding her, as she did water acrobatics. A couple of Toad and Goomba kids were playing in the kiddie pool, and had a good time.
Several Koopa Troopas were playing shuffleboard on the deck, and chucked each others shells onto the board. Cheep Cheeps fly out of the water, and landed into pipes, to which Piranha Plants came out and juggled them.
"What should we do first.", Lincoln said with excitement, knowing that this pool party will be a blast. "We should jump off the diving board!", Daisy said, showing her tomboyish attitude, to which Lincoln is a bit nervous.
"You're not scared of heights, are you?", Daisy teased. "No. No I'm not scared!", Lincoln backlashed, but then Peach interrupted, "Uh, Lincoln, can I have you for a second?".
Peach took Lincoln to her room, and said, "You know I don't like the diving board, I should just tell Daisy that we can hang out at the kiddie pool.". "What?!", Lincoln said, "She's your best friend!".
"I know!", Peach said, "But I don't know if it's a good idea to start with the diving board.". "Fine.", Lincoln said, "We can start with the shuffleboard. That's always fun.". "Yeah, shuffleboard.", Peach said, "Let's go tell her and...".
"Is something wrong.", Lincoln said, to which Peach said, "Uh, we're locked in.". "What?!", Lincoln said, before yelling "Help!", and banging on the door. "Where's Peach and Lincoln, they should've been here.", Daisy said.
"Oh well,", she continued, "I guess I'm diving alone then.". "Help!", Lincoln said while banging the door repeatedly. "Lincoln, calm down!", Peach said, to which she said, "There's gotta be a way to get out of here, somehow.".
First, Peach has an idea, but this idea was a bit sqeamish. "Why do I have to pull you from behind?!", Lincoln said. "Because, I'm taller.", Peach said, to which Lincoln glared. "Just pull!", Peach instructed, and they did.
Unfortunately, they pulled too hard, and they slipped from the door handle, causing the two to land on the floor. "Well, that didn't work.", Peach said, before realizing where Lincoln is, "Where are you?". "Get off of me.", Lincoln said, revealing that Peach was lying backside down on Lincoln.
"Oh no!", Peach said, "I'm so sorry!", as she scrambled to her feet. "That's something I'm never going to forget.", Lincoln said, saying that he has a better idea. "So why did become ghosts again?", Peach asked, revealing that she and Lincoln were using Boo Mushrooms.
"Duh, to get out!", Lincoln said, as he tried to go through the wall. "What?!", Lincoln said, "I thought ghosts normally go through walls.". "Oh yeah, I forgot!", Peach said, "I have got this door Anti-Boo proof.". Lincoln facepalms, "You got to be kidding me.".
Suddenly, there was cheering outside the door. "What's that?", Peach said, before noticing through the keyhole and noticed that Daisy was rocking out with the other guests. "Oh no!", Peach screamed, "The party is going into chaos, and Daisy's ruining it!".
"What do you mean?", Lincoln said as he looked through the keyhole as well. "You're right!", Lincoln said, "They're not playing shuffleboard, they're rioting. Now they're mad at Yoshi, he's hogging up the food!". Soon, a cuckoo clock went off, and then...
"Hey, party's over!", Daisy said, as everyone soon left. "Well...", Peach said, "The party's over.". "Peach, don't cry. We'll get out of here.", Lincoln said, but Peach said, "Just forget about it, it's getting late anyways.".
"I should really get ready for bed.", Peach said, as Lincoln said, "Well, I can't go home, because the door is locked.". "Well, maybe, we should turn this into a sleepover instead.", Peach said with glee, as she is now shown in her nightgown.
"But, I forgot my pajamas.", Lincoln said, before noticing a pair of Mario's pajamas in one of the drawers. "Well, they're a bit big, but they'll do.". And soon, Peach and Lincoln went asleep.
The next morning, Peach and Lincoln woke up, and noticed that the sun is shining brightly. "Well, at least we had a good sleepover.", Lincoln said, before going towards the door. "Oh man, the door's still locked.".
"Well, it's a good thing that I have a spare key... in my... pocket.", Peach said, getting embarrassed. "You gotta be kidding me! Why didn't you tell me before that you have a key!", Lincoln said.
"I forgot!", Peach said, to which she opened the door. "Looks like we missed the party.", Lincoln said, but then Peach said, "Maybe a nice warm bath would cheer us up.", to which Lincoln said nervously while blushing, "Uh... okay?".
While Lincoln was in the bathtub, he accidentally triggered a Wonder Flower that was hidden in the tub, causing it to erupt. "Daisy!", Peach said with agony, while she was waiting for Lincoln to be done.
When Lincoln and Peach got back home, Lucy was telling Mario about what happened at the convention, but then was shocked when she noticed Peach and Lincoln all wet. "What happened to you!", Mario said, to which Peach said, "It's a long story.".
