Sora put the new parts on her mech. She was planning on making one for each ninja. The best part of building them was being able to use her newfound powers. She liked the tingly feel that rushed through her body as she used them. Arin had seemed a little off, but then again, everyone was acting a little strange. She knew that Kai was having trouble sleeping. She wondered how grown adults, who also happened to be ninja, could have trouble sleeping. Sora was pretty sure that the thing keeping him from a good night of rest was whatever he'd seen after being pulled into the mergequake. Maybe their world had changed forever, but at least it was stable. She wasn't too sure about the mergequake theory though, because Wyldfyre seemed to be unaffected, but then again, you never know with a half-crazy wild girl raised by a dragon. She wiped the sweat off her forehead, put down her toolbox, and took the elevator back up to the main level.
Zane put down a plate in front of Sora. The food smelled good, but no one seemed to have an appetite. Arin chewed slowly, head on his fist. Nya and Kai stared at their plates. Zane hadn't sat down, Lloyd picked at his food with a fork. Wyldfyre was eating though. Sora ignored them and began eating her plate of chicken, beans and edamame. When she was halfway done, everyone but Arin began leaving the table, their plates had hardly been touched. Zane began picking up. Arin nodded towards their room. Sora stood up and followed. "Everyone is acting strange. What's going on? Don't they trust us enough to tell us if there's a problem?" Sora paced around the room. Arin was eating a slice of pie. "Mayshbe shey shust sneed shleep?" Arin said with a mouth full of pie. Sora stared at him. "I didn't understand a word of what you just said." She replied. Arin swallowed his food. "Don't worry. I'm sure everything is fine." Sora sighed. "Alright, just tell me if anything weird is going on." She saw Arin give a 'I saw something face'. "What did you see?" She questioned him. "Nothing too important. Probably normal. I don't-" "ARIN!" "Ok, ok. I saw Zane and Lloyd in the library yesterday. They were whispering about something. Not sure what." Sora went to bed thinking about what Arin had said. What if they've figured out that something bad is coming?
