Chapter 3: Pridmoor Blues

Back at the top floor of the tower, Black Knight was there explaining about his apprentice's lost and explaining about the ambush. His apprentice Gagagigo was locked up in a prison below the bottom floor of the tower.

She sighed and replied, "So your apprentice lost the duel and even though you made a deal with that kid, you went against it and then you got ambushed by Pridmoor's bodyguard and his knights slaughtered all of your soldiers?"

He slowly nodded and she let a annoyed sigh and replied, "This is your lowest moment so far, Black Knight. For now on, you respect the deal and do not betray the one you're doing it with or you'll be spending time in my darkest dungeon where I keep my biggest threats!"

He sighed and then nodded and replied, "I will do as you wish and I apologize for my actions today, Enchantress."

"We'll see if I do forgive you, knight. Learn anything else?"

That kid Jordan uses a very powerful Xyz Summoner deck, madam. Both of them have great decks and we'll need to watch over them."

"I see. You head out and keep out of trouble until I need you, Black Knight."

He nodded as he slowly walked out of her chamber and she turned her crystal ball and she replied, "Where are you brats? I will find you and vaporize you from this world. With you kids out of the way and with the former heroes not part of this world anymore, we'll take over this world."

About a hour or later after meeting them , we entered a private area of the Pridmoor village (Which was being watched by the Enchantress's minions to make sure Pridmoor couldn't send his men into the town until they could get the town back under Lord Pridmoor's control the the female mage told us). After arriving in the bunker, he brought us to the dining/meeting room.

Primoor smiled and replied, "Nice to meet you, ladies. I'm Lawerence Pridmoor the 3rd, former ruler of this amazing island and leader of P.O.U.R."

He pointed to Wallace and replied, "This is my personal bodyguard and close friend Wallace Henshaw. He protects me and my sons from danger."

Erica saw him and replied, "Thank you for saving us back at the airport, sir."

Wallace nodded and replied, "Great dueling on your part as well, miss. You were amazing. We watched you from a nearby building and that damned fool Black Knight and his troops didn't even know about. What a total fool they were."

I looked around and saw a nearby sign that said P.O.U.R. on it and I pointed at it and replied, "What does P.O.U.R. stand for, sir?"

He ponted to were the sign had the answer to her question with the logo was on and she saw it below the letters and I nodded and replied, "Pridmoor Underground Revoluion. Neat acronym."

Erica then replied, "I'm guessing there isn't a duel convention around here?"

The former king sighed and replied, "I'm afraid not, miss. I'm sorry about that. We need your help with something important."

As he was about to tell us everything, Malory walked in and he nodded and replied, "Kids, this is Malory Rucamen, but she perfers to be called the Magicist. She wants to the best magician to help out anyone in need and she's our expert historian."

my girl nodded and replied, "Very cool, but can someone tell us what is going on around here, please? We have no idea what we need to do and how to get home."

Malory then replied, "I'm afraid we have one pilot and co-pilot and while the duel was going on against his minion, they kidnapped them both and took them back to the Enchantress."

I only sighed and realized that knight was telling us the truth and then I resumed, "Damn our luck. Who is this Enchantress anyway?"

The former king sighed and replied, "I know about her, young lady. Malory can explain it better."

She nodded and resumed, "The Enchantress is a evil being that plagued our island and the Valley for years. 100 years ago today, the legendary Shield Knight went in and got a hold of a evil amulet from her hideout, The Tower of Fate and she wanted to destroy the evil item for good. After she and her boyfriend Shovel Knight went in, they faced two other treasure hunters and after they fell to their doom in her tower due to a crumbling floor, She grabbed the Amulet and the evil power inside of her forced her to become the Enchantress. When she had the power, she gave new life to the dying treasure hunters so they'll forget their old lives and become her Knights. She ordered her newest minions to find more knights and create the group known as the Order of No Quarter. As this was happening, Shovel Knight retreated back to the village and after defeating his rival Black Knight a few times and defeating her group of knights, he got to the tower and defeated the Enchantress, freeing his beloved from her evil powers. After she was defeated, her powers come back to her and she become a evil creature known as the Remnant of Fate. After the two knights went into battle, they combined their powers and attacks and defeated her as well, sealing her and her knights in that damn tower for all of eternity or so we thought. about a year ago, someone released her and the knights that served her once again and without Shovel Knight and Shield Knight around, they took over the island and we were all forced down here into this bunker. We would love to get back to the village again, but with her knights out there, we need to think of other ideas. With Shovel Knight and Shield Knight not a part of our world anymore, that is why we called you amazing duelists to our island. Also, they renamed their group to the Quarter of New Order."

Erica nodded and then replied, "What a tale. Why us of all people?"

Lord Pridmoor nodded and replied, "You may not know about it, but your parents are descendants of Shovel and Shield Knight."

We both looked puzzled and the former lord resumed, "Ashlee, your the descendant of Shovel Knight and your girlfriend Erica is the descendant of the legendary Shield Knight, Shovel Knight's love of his life."

I smiled and looked at her and she sighed and replied, "Should of known. She's my girlfriend and I'm Shield Knight's descendant that was the wife of Shovel Knight, which is Ashlee's descendant as well. Will we be able to talk to our families back in the states, sir?"

Lord Pridmoor nodded and replied, "You help us with this and we'll do what we can to help you all."

We both nodded and then I looked at the king and replied, "We'll help you both out, sir. Can you tell us about those knights that are causing trouble?"

Lord Pridmoor looked at Malory and she replied, "Follow me to a very special room in our bunker, kids. We'll answer your questions now."

They all got up and followed him and the Magicist to another part of the bunker.

In another area of the bunker, they saw something amazing! They were 9 statues of various knights (With a lock in the middle of each one). At the back of the room, there were a two large statues of Shovel Knight and Shield Knight near the back of the area, where the two P.O.U.R. members were chatting about their former families.

Malory then replied, "These are your great, great grandparents, girls. They were the best heroes this Island ever saw."

I nodded and replied, "Very cool. Never knew about these guys until now. Explain the knights to us, sir."

He nodded ans they walked over to the first one and it was Black Knight and Malory then replied, "This is one you already know. He's Black Knight and he is like a spy for the Enchantress and tries to hunt down members of P.O.U.R. and have them locked up in various parts of the island."

"Also, he has a very annoying and irritating laugh as well.", Erica said with a laugh.

"We both know about that horrid laugh ourselves. It annoys us when ever he does it.", Lord Pridmoor said with a sigh as well.

We moved to another statue and this knight had gold armor, a scepter and a red cape and Lord Pridmoor sighed again and replied, "This is King Knight. He was once a lonely soldier that wondered the island for anything he could find. One day, he challenged me to a duel in my former home of Pridmoor Keep and he beat me with his new deck because I barely knew about Duel Monsters at the time and he creamed me good and I was only using a deck of various cards. He runs Pridmoor Keep with his 2nd in command, Bronze Knight Tillus."

We walked towards another statue and the next one was a knight that held onto a scythe-like and he wore a red outfit that had a tattered red cape on his back and Malory resumed, "This is Specter Knight, Enforcer of the Quarter of New Order. He's a mighty knight and he was the one of the two treasure hunters from way back then and his old name was Donovan. He looks after the Lich Yard."

We walked to the next one and this one had a green body and wore a grey cloak and held onto a large glass jar of some sort and Malory resumed, "This is Plague Knight, master Alchemist of the Quarter of New Order. He's a mighty alchemist and knows about many science expiriments as well. He runs a huge lab known as the Explodatorium."

We both nodded and we walked over to the next statue and it looked large scuba diver with a harpoon launcher for a arm and Malory resumed, "This is Treasure Knight, Financier of the Quarter of New Order. He hunts for treasure as much as he can. He rides in his personal submarine, The Iron Whale. He has a dock somewhere on this island, but we can't confirm that or even try to find out while the village is under the Order's control."

We all walked up to another statue and this knight had fiery red armor and nothing else and Malory replied, "This is Mole Knight, Excavator of the Quarter of New Order. He can burrow through the ground to find anything to sell for the group. He controls a underground area known as the Lost City. No one knows about this area and we've been looking for it for years now. Only Shovel Knight and Shield Knight knew about it, but they're sadly gone from the world now. We hope to see them in the heavens one day."

We nodded as they walked over to another statue and this one was shorter then the others and his helmet was a welding mask and he looked like he was holding a blow torch and Malory resumed, "This is Tinker Knight, master Engineer of the Quarter of New Order. He will do anything to make kind of machine that'll help his fellow knights out. He leads a area called the Clockwork Tower."

They walked to another statue and this one had a yellow helmet and a green shirt and pants and strangely enough, had a propeller at the top of his helmet and then Malory resumed, "This is Propeller Knight, Airship Commander of the Quarter of New Order. He loves exploring the skies above the island. He commands a airship that he and his minions stole from us called The Flying Machine. Lame name, but we never thought of a name for it."

We all moved to the final statue and this knight looked like a huge blue armored knight carrying a giant snow shovel and Malory replied, "This is the last of the knights. this is Polar Knight, the Warrior for the Quarter of New Order. He enjoys the cold more then anyone on earth right now. He'll defend his allies and his lair with his mighty power of the polar winds. He runs area way for south of her called the Stranded Ship. a frozen wrecked ship. At one time, he was Shovel Knight's friend and rival before the Enchantress took over his mind."

Jordan then replied, "Wow, we have our work cut out for us."

She looked at me and replied, "What do you think, sweetie?"

We turned to the adults and I smiled and resumed, "We can do it. We have a couple of questions."

"Ask away, my young friends.", Lord Pridmoor said with a smile.

"When Erica had to duel that knight, she had to duel a Fire Princess, a duel monster and Black Knight controlled three Duel monsters as well. How is even happening?"

Malory then replied, "Enchantress Powers, my young friends. She can summon any Duel Spirit to help her and her army at anytime. She has control over that kind of stuff. Anything else?"

I pointed to King Knight's statue and replied, "What is with the locks on those Knight statues?"

Malory then replied, "I can answer that one. When the Enchantress told her knights to head to their hideouts, she gave them each a special key to hold onto and when you defeat them in a duel, they must hand the key over to the winner. Once all 9 keys are inserted in the locks, that giant golden door in the back will open up."

They both pointed to it and they saw a large golden door in the back and he replied, "This leads to portal that'll take you to her private island near the west coast where the Tower of Fate is. It's the only why to reach her with her evil magic powers protecting that damned island . Only after finding all 9 keys, then we can enter her damn tower and hopefully take her down once and for all. The only one that doesn't have a special hideout is Black Knight himself and he says if loses three times to a duelist, he'll hand over his key to that duelist."

Erica then replied, "This will be a lot to take in. Can we get some sleep now?"

Malory nodded and replied, "We have three private rooms for you wonderful kids. Follow me then."

They followed out of the chamber area and Lord Pridmoor sighed and replied, "I really you kids are the real deal. We have no other choice to ask for your help."

He slowly left the statue area as well.

Ashlee: That was a lot to take and me and my love are up for a challenge to save the island as best we can. Next time, we help out with finding the maps of the island that were stolen by Black Knight's crew and we meet a member of my family that I know really well and she agrees to duel the one that is in charge of the captured village and it's a duelist from the past.
