Chapter 5: Root of the Problem

Pridmoor Village (Prison Area) / 3:00pm
Inside of the prison area of the village, we found a young woman and two males were sitting on the benches and were wearing the usual black-stripped prison uniforms that said PRIDMOOR VILLAGE PRISON on the back of them. The younger looking male and female where the P.O.U.R. spies and the other older one was Knight Perces's son Rowan.
Rowan sighed and replied, "Where's my dad with our lunch? I'm getting really hungry."
The girl then replied, "Be patient, Rowan. He should be here soon as long as that Dennis guy allows us food, we'll be okay."
The guy put his arm around her and he replied, "So do I, Jenna. We'll get out of here soon, hon. We will."
She smiled as the door opened up and Knight Perces lead us and Rowan got up and replied, "Dad, what is this about?"
Perces nodded as he opened the cell door and he replied, "That freak was defeated by our new friend Manda here and our precious village was released from his grasp as well. The only way they'll let us stay out of trouble from the Order is if we join them and help serve this village and it's people, son."
His son nodded and replied, "Anything is better then working for that Enchantress lady!"
He turned to us and replied, "I don't know how to thank you for all of this, you three."
Manda smiled and replied, "You don't owe anything. Just lead us to where they have those vault passes and we'll be good to go."
The three former jailers all sighed at that and Riley groaned and replied, "We're not going to like this. What happened to them?"
Jenna then replied, "Let me answer that. They heard about those vault passes and they were only three of them and they decided to have a more secure place to watch at it, so Weevil's other cronies brought the passes to Pridmoor Keep and the passes are locked up in King Knight's personal area, but they left the maps of Pridmoor Keep on the desk in the other room."
Riley sighed and replied, "So damn close to getting those passes back. We know where to go first now. Let's head back to the bunker now and tell my father everything we know after we grab that map."
We all nodded and then Riley looked at Perces and replied, "Until things are sorted out, you and Rowan are now in charge of the village for the time being, Perces. Do what you have to do to get everything running again."
The father & son nodded as they went to grab the map of the keep.

Back at the P.O.U.R. underground bunker, We were in the meeting room. Even with the village in their hands, the main members of the group decided to stay downstairs in the bunker until they had full protection of the village.
Lord Pridmoor sighed and replied, "We may not have the passes right now, but at least we have the maps and village under our control now."
We nodded as Manda looked through her deck and she smiled and replied, "This deck is so amazing."
Lord Pridmoor nodded and replied, "You are a really noble young lady, Manda. You duel with heart and to remember someone you knew and loved is really amazing in my eyes. I think your grandpa would be so proud of you right now."
Manda smiled at that and then replied, "Awesome. Where should we had for first, sir?"
Pridmoor and Riley looked at the maps and Riley nodded and replied, "Sir, they should try to go after King Knight in our former home first, dad. We've been wanting to go after him for months now and this is our perfect time to strike and then we can finally get our passes back."
"You always had the best plans, son."
I nodded and I looked at the ladies and then replied, "Gang, I want to duel our way In myself. My deck will destroy anything he sends my way."
Erica smiled and replied, "You'll do fine in a duel, sweetie. Your deck is amazing and I'll duel that King Knight myself."
I smiled back at her and Manda only nodded and then Lord Pridmoor then replied, "Sounds good to me, ladies. You both can do it. Come get some dinner and relax for the rest of the night."

Inside of her room, I was going over my deck one last time to make sure it was ready for another tough duel. I loved the cards I had in it and I knew it was ready for anything and I continued to look through it and I nodded and replied, "I can't wait to show whoever I face how I like to duel."
I gathered the cards and made my deck and I knew this deck will will me a fight against a knight after Jordan takes out this apprentice. I got up from the desk and turned my lights off and went to bed.

Pridmoor Keep Throne Room / 10:30pm
Pridmoor Keep is a beautiful castle with many rooms, a garden area, gym area and sauna area as well. It took over 10 years to finish the golden castle for Lord Pridmoor and his sons. After his wife passed on due to cancer, she was buried in a small private grave plot in the main grounds of the castle. After King Knight took over the castle, he mad little or no changes to the whole castle and even respected the gravestone of Pridmoor's passed on wife and told his guards to leave it alone or they would face consequences. Inside of his throne room, he sat on a beautiful jeweled golden chair. He was a tall gold armored knight that used a scepter and he also had a red cape for his outfit as well. Behind him a gold armored knight by the name of Knight Haris was behind him and was his personal bodyguard. It was late at night and he couldn't sleep at the moment.
The knight walked up to him and he replied, "You doing okay, master King Knight?"
The knight nodded and replied, "I'm quite fine right now, Haris. Thank you for all the help you've given me in the past few days."
"Anything for you, my king.", the Knight said with a smile.
Suddenly, a small red alarm-like noise was heard in his room and Haris then replied, "Another message from The Enchantress, sir."
He nodded as a pushed a button on his chair and a large television screen came out of the nearby wall and the Enchantress was standing there with Black Knight right by his side and King Knight then replied, "Evening, my queen. What do you need?"
The enchantress resumed, "First of all, how is everything in the keep?"
"Quiet well, actually. Haris and his three henchmen have made my living area much better then before."
"Glad to hear that. You better be ready for anything. Those descendants of those former heroes are heading to the keep for your key and the vault passes Bandit Keith gave your keep to keep a hold of. Did you get the cards you wanted for that deck of yours?"
The knight nodded to her and she resumed, "Do not lose to those kids, King Knight. We can't afford to lose the key or those passes. Did your newest duelist arrive earlier?"
The knight nodded and replied, "Yes, Enchantress. He's ready to duel and with the cards in his deck, he'll be ready to defend the outside of the Keep."
"Good to hear. Good night to you and don't mess this up for us!"
The screen went dark and it went back into the wall and King Knight then replied, "I can't wait for our duelist to destroy any of their damn decks!"

Outside of Pridmoor Keep / 10:30am
We were outside of Pridmoor Keep and Riley went with them again. It was a large wooden gate that was closed up tightly and Riley then replied, "Open up, already! We want in!"
Suddenly, the door slowly opened up and a knight of light appeared with a duel disk on his arm (ATK: 1,400) and Erica then replied, "That's a Dawn Knight."
The spirit looked at the kids and he replied, "You are the kids me and my boss need to capture. Who wants to duel against my boss King Knight?"
I raised my hand and he nodded and replied, "He's having breakfast now. Wait for about 20 minutes and he'll be ready to go."
The kids sighed as the waited outside as the large door began to close.

Inside of the King Knight's throne room, he was busy having a breakfast (That was on a large red table in front of him). He was having a lobster & crab benedict with a side of fruit (Mostly apples and grapes because those were his favorite) and some coffee to drink. He had his helmet up for a minute so he can eat the amazing meal. Sitting at the table with him was Knight Haris and he was eating a bagel sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese in it with a bottle of orange juice for drinking. They had another knight by the name of Knight Corlyn and she was a fantastic knight and a great cook. There was a large screen nearby that showed off the courtyard the kids were waiting in.
King Knight took another bite of his breakfast and he smiled and replied, "This is really really good food. Remind me to praise Knight Cora on our breakfasts later, Perces."
The knight nodded as he finished his sandwich and then they both heard knocking at the door and Perces sighed and replied, "Every time you want to eat, something like this happens. You can come in."
The door opened up and Dawn Knight was there and he replied, "Those three ladies are here now and they want to duel against you, Sir King Knight."
The knight sighed and replied, "Every damn time We try to have a good meal, this happens! Do you have anything that'll help us out."
The Spirit nodded and replied, "I have a idea, sir. My duelist apprentice is here and let's make them face her in a duel and if they beat her, they can face you tomorrow and if they lose, they can't face you until she's defeated in a duel."
"Really good plan there, knight. Do what you have to do."
He nodded and then quickly left and the gold knight sighed and replied, "I really hope this duelist of his can actually do something right for a chance."
Haris sipped down his orange juice and replied, "If not, we could just sent her to the mulching area behind the castle gardens, my lord."
They both laughed as they both continued to eat their breakfast while watching the kids wait in the courtyard area.

Inside of the main courtyard of Pridmoor Keep, I was waiting for King Knight to arrive. Riley and the other ladies were right behind her.
Manda looked around and she nodded and replied, "What a beautiful castle this is."
Riley sighed and replied, "Me and my brother used to duel all the time in this courtyard and loved every minute of it. There is a court-style duel arena that only the leader of the Keep can duel in. I miss being here right now. Our mother Martha is buried in a private plot near the garden area of the castle."
As the girls nodded to him, the front doors opened up and a beautiful plant-like woman wearing a red skirt and wearing a duel disk made of plants and roots walked out of it (ATK: 2,000) and Dawn Knight walked out as well and the doors closed up and Jordan saw her the Spirit and replied, "That's a Rose Specter of Dunn."
I looked at them both and replied, "Where is King Knight? We're here to duel for the key and passes."
The knight spirit then replied, ". If you want to face him in a duel, you must do something first."
He pointed at the Spirit and resumed, "You must defeat Rose in a duel first. If you win, you can duel him another time and if you lose, you won't get another duel against our leader until you defeat her first."
The spirit looked at me and replied, "You'll never beat my strong deck, kid. Don't even try to think you'll defeat me."
I only sighed and then Erica then replied, "She'll prune you good, plant lady! Her dragons will feast on your plants for launch! Get her, babe."
I smiled and as the spirit and others found a nearby wooden stand to sit on, we both activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards.
"Game on!", They both yelled out.

I looked at my hand and resumed, "I'll start us off. I'll set a monster and that'll be all."
The spirit drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Staysailor Romarin."
She played and a female plant-like lady appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Attack the child's facedown monster."
The female plant mage glowed as a shower of seeds rained down on my side of the field as my Komouri Dragon appeared slighty (DEF: 1,200) and the seeds rained down on it and blew it to small pixelated pieces.
"Your move now."
I drew a new card and then resumed, "I summon my Luster Dragon."
I played it and my beautiful dragon appeared with a roar (ATK: 1,900).
"Destroy his monster."
I watched as my dragon let out a fiery burst of flames and it shot out and burned her before she finally burst in a cloud of ash (Rose LP: 8000 - 7700) and I smiled and pointed back to her and then she drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a monster for later and that's all I can do, kid."
I drew a new card and a I saw monster that could help me out and then I resumed, "I bring forth my Red Wyrm."
I played its card and large winged red-skinned dragon with no arms and two red legs appeared with a growl (ATK: 1,700).
"I attack your facedown monster with my Luster Dragon first."
My dragon let a searing burst of green flames and they struck and a strange Plant that looked a large tree with a baboon-lke face appeared (DEF: 1,000) and the attack plowed into and blew it into a shower of ash & burning timbers , "When Baobaboon is destroyed, I can Special Summon any number of then from my deck."
Two more of the strange Trees appeared (DEF: 1,000 x2) and then she drew 2 cards and then placed two cards from my hand at the bottom of her deck and I nodded and pointed as my smaller Dragon glowed glowed as a small ball of hot flames shot out and smashed the final tree into wooden splinters as well.
"You are a clever one. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I activate my facedown Metaverse to activate my Forest from my Deck."
The trap appeared and a large beautiful forest appeared (ATK: 1,200 - 1,400).
"I now activate my Rose Bell of Revelation."
The spell appeared.
"I'll grab a Plant with 2,400 attack from my hand now."
She grabbed a card and then resumed, "I return my Baobaboon to my hand to Special Summon my Fallen Angel of Roses."
It vanished and a evil plant-like woman with a thorned rose-like whip for a weapon appeared (ATK: 2,400 - 2,600).
"Try This on, kid! Attack!"
It swung its vine arm and it shot out my fiery dragon and he let out a weakened roar before it shattered to pieces (Ashlee LP: 8000 - 7100) and I nodded and resumed, "When my Red Wyrm is destroyed by a card you have, you take 500 damage."
A small ball of flames shot out and struck her down (Rose LP: 7700 - 7200) and she nodded and resumed, "You won't beat me, kid. I end my turn now."
I drew my newest card and then resumed, "I'll switch my Luster Dragon to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown for later."
She played the card and The plant woman drew a new card and resumed, "I summon my Naturia White Oak."
She played the card and a large tree grew out of the ground with a strange face as well (ATK: 1,800 - 2,000).
"Fallen Angel attacks first."
It swung its arm and my facedown Dynamite Dragon lifted up (DEF: 1,300) before the attack slammed into it and it shattered in a burst of fiery embers and some of then burnt the plant lady (ATK: 2,400 - 2,100).
"Clever move, Kid. White Oak attacks now."
The tree glowed as a burst of leaves shot out and cut through my Dragon before it collapsed and then exploded into pixels and then I nodded and then resumed, "I Special Summon my Keeper of the Shrine."
She played the card a rocky-like dragon statue appeared (DEF: 2,100) and I smiled and resumed, "Since I Special Summoned it because you destroyed one of my Normal Dragon monsters, I can get back any Normal Dragon monster from my graveyard."
I grabbed my Luster Dragon back and then the spirit resumed, "You are a tough duelist, child. I end my turn now."
I drew a new card and then resumed, "I activate Stamping Destruction."
The spell appeared and each of the trees collapsed into splinters and dust (Rose LP: 7200 - 6700).
"I tribute my Shrine for my Des Volstgalph."
The dragon-like statue vanished and my newest dragon was a large dragon with a rocky body and hide (ATK: 2,200) and Manda smiled and resumed, "I always wanted to see her full Dragon deck in a duel."
"Destroy her Fallen Angel."
The dragon snarled as a fiery burst of energy shot out and went through the chest of the plant lady before it dissolved into ash & burnt leaves (Rose LP: 6700 - 6600) and then another burst of energy slammed into her (Rose LP: 6600 - 6100).
"Your move now."
She drew a card and resumed,"I'll switch my Oak to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and another card facedown and that's all I can do right now."
The tree knelt down (DEF: 1,400) and then I played my Luster Dragon once more (ATK: 1,900) and I pointed as my Luster Dragon blew some more hot green flames and it struck her tree down before it collapsed into ashes & burnt timbers.
"Des Volstgalph attacks again."
The dragon roared as another fiery burst of energy shot out and a out and a young flower girl wearing a flowered dress with long flowing red hair appeared on the card (DEF: 1,100) and the attack blew her into flower petals and then she resumed, "When Flower Girl is destroyed, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Plant monster with 1,500 attack or less and I choose a Evil Thorn."
I watched as a small plant with a spiked seed appeared (ATK: 0) and another burst of fiery struck her down (Rose LP: 6100 - 5600).
"I see. Your move now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Banish Trick."
The spell appeared.
"I banish a card from my graveyard and then I can banish a card of the same type from your graveyard and I'll banish a Flower Girl to banish your Keeper of the Shrine."
The two cards appeared and both faded away.
"I tribute my Evil Thorn for its effect and then I can hit you with 500 damage and then get to summon any other Evil Thorns from my deck!"
A burst of small spines shot out and rained down on me (Ashlee LP: 7100 - 6600) and a two more of the dark plants appeared (DEF: 300 x2).
"I tribute one of them for my Queen Angel of Roses!"
One of the dark plants vanished and the plant queen appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"Destroy her Des Volstgalph!"
She swung her sword and a burst of leaves and rose petals flew into the air and stabbed into my Dragon. I watched it roar in pain before it exploded in a shower of dust (Ashlee LP: 6600 - 6400) and the spirit smiled and resumed, "I activate Blossom Bombardment!"
The trap appeared as a burst of fiery rose petals flew into into me (Ashlee LP: 6400 - 4200).
"Your move now, kid."
I drew a card and I looked at my hand and then resumed, "I'll switch my Luster Dragon to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and a card as well for later."
The spirit drew a card and then resumed, "I'll wipe out your Luster Dragon with my Queen's effect!"
She swung her sword and a burst of rose petals flew in and stabbed into my dragon and blew it to little pieces.
"I tribute my final Thorn to hit you with 500 more damage!"
The plant exploded in a shower of thorns that rained down on me (Ashlee LP: 4200 - 3700) and then she resumed, "I activate Hand Destruction."
The spell appeared and I looked at my hand and I had 3 cards and this card would actually helped me and I discarded a monster and a Trap card and then drew 2 cards and then my opponent discarded her two cards and drew 2 cards of her own and then she resumed, "I summon my World Carrotweight Champion."
She played the card and the carrot fighter appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do this. Queen Angel, attack!"
She swung her sword as another barrage of petals shot out and my Masked Dragon appeared (DEF: 1,100) and the petals blew it to little bits and then my 2nd Masked Dragon appeared (DEF: 1,100) and the strange carrot creature went and jammed its carrot arm into my poor dragon and blew it to little shards and then I resumed, "I Special Summon my Golem Dragon."
I played the card as my rocky dragon appeared and then knelt (DEF: 2,000).
"You won't win against me, kid. I End my turn now."
I drew a new card and then I smiled and then resumed, "I activate my Call of the Haunted to bring back my Neo Kaiser Dragon I discarded with your Spell."
The spell appeared and a beautiful blue-skinned dragon appeared with a deep roar (ATK: 2,400) and Jordan saw the monster and she smiled and resumed, "What a beauty of a card."
"I now tribute both of my monsters to summon my Tri-Horned Dragon."
Both dragons shattered into shards as my dark horned and clawed dragon appeared (ATK: 2,850) and then I nodded and resumed, "Since my Neo Kaiser Glider went to the graveyard, all of your monsters lose 500 attack until the End Phase of the turn."
black spots appeared on both of her monsters (ATK: 2,400 - 1,900) - (ATK: 1,900 - 1,400).
"I now activate my Dragonic Rush."
The spell appeared.
"I choose a Level or Rank 5 or higher Dragon monster and it when it destroys a monster, it can attack another one."
I took a Masked Dragon and banished it and then resumed, "Destroy his monsters."
The dragon went and slashed with its sharpened claws, tearing into her Queen Angel of Roses. She moaned and then exploded in a shower of rose petals and small white shards and then it went in again and slashed again with its sharpened claws, tearing the carrot creature asunder. The pieces shattered into tiny orange shards (Rose LP: 5600 - 3200).
"That's all for me."
She drew a card and then resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card and that's all for me."
I drew a new card and then resumed, "I summon my Lancer Dragonute."
I played it and a dragon warrior with a small lance for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"It can pierce through your monsters. Attack the facedown monster."
It quickly rushed in and a Lord Poison appeared (DEF: 1,000) and it stabbed into it and burst in a shower of green slime (Rose LP: 3200 - 2400) and I knew she'd bring back her Queen Angel of roses (ATK: 2,400) and I noticed she still had a facedown card, so I didn't even want to try to attack her Queen and then I resumed, "I'll end my turn now."
She drew a card and then her Rose went and swung her sword, splitting my poor Tri-Horned Dragon in twain right down the middle.
"I now play my facedown Spellbook Inside of the Pot to let us both drew 3 cards."
I could only sigh as the spell lifted up because I fell for it and we both drew 3 cards and she resumed, "I'll discard a Plant to get my Carrot back."
She took a Lekunga and discarded it and her Carrot monster appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Destroy her Lancer and then my Queen Rose will hit you directly!"
The strange Plant monster went in and jammed its carrot arm into my Dragon and blew it to little pieces and then her Rose went and swung her sword and I stood my ground as best as I could as the sword struck me down (Ashlee LP: 3700 - 1200) and I heard Jordan sigh and then she resumed, "Stay strong, hon."
"Next turn, you are finished! I end my turn now."
She drew a card and I saw the monster I drew and it was the card that Jordan gave me for my deck and I looked back at her and she smiled as well and then resumed, "This plant is in trouble."
I summon my Chalice Dragon."
She played the card and a large dragon with white and silver scales appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"If I control no monsters, I Can pay 1,000 lifepoints to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Normal monster from my graveyard that is a Dragon."
I glowed with energy (Ashlee LP: 1200 - 200) and my Luster Dragon reappeared (ATK: 1,900).
"I now summon my newest monster thanks to my loving girlfriend. I tribute my Chalice Dragon and my Luster Dragon to summon my newest and strongest monster."
Both dragons faded away into pixels and my monster appeared. It was a large beautiful white-skinned Dragon with green hair around its body with long white whiskers (ATK: 3,200).
"Meet the awesome and powerful Haku the Spirited Dragon."
Jordan smiled as she saw the giant dragon and resumed, "I knew you'd use that guy sooner or later, girl."
"Since I used Chalice Dragon to summon a Dragon, I can Special Summon it to your side of the field as well."
My Chalice Dragon appeared on her side of the field (DEF: 1,000).
"My next move is playing Emergency Provisions to send my Call of the Haunted away."
The spell appeared and my trap dissolved into particles that flew into me (Ashlee LP: 200 - 1200) and then I resumed, "I now drop 1,000 lifepoints to summon my final card and I activate Reign of Fire."
The spell appeared and I glowed once again (Ashlee LP: 1200 - 200) and then I smiled and resumed, "I can now attack all of your monsters. Blow them all away with Spiritual Fire Storm."
My dragon let out a powerful and proud roar as it launched a huge storm of hot flames combined with light rained down on his side of the field and each of her monsters were burned to ashes (Rose LP: 3200 - 1100) and I smiled again and then resumed, "Thanks to my Reign of Fire, you take damage equal to the levels of all of your monsters and you had 15 levels of monsters."
Another burst of fiery light shot out and slammed into her (Rose LP: 1100 - 0) and Manda smiled and resumed, "What a deck your girl has, sis."
I smiled and agreed with her and then my monster vanished from the field and then the Spirit began to glow and the knight looked at her and replied, "To the Enchantress for you."
She sighed and vanished into particles of light and the Knight looked at her and replied, "Come by tomorrow for your duel, kids. He'll want to duel someone other then her."
He turned around and left and then Riley replied, "Let's head back, ladies."
We all followed him out of the castle.

Reign of Fire / Normal Spell Card
Image: Red-Eyes Black Dragon soaring over a field and burning it with its fiery attack.
Pay 1000LP and then target 1 Level 7 or higher Dragon monster you control; It can attack all monsters your opponent controls once apiece. Each time this monster destroys a monster in battle, your opponent takes 100 damage x the levels of the destroyed monster.

Chalice Dragon

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must by Tributed Summoned by tributing a Normal Dragon monster and a Effect Dragon monster from your side of the field who's levels equal 8 and cannot be Summoned by other ways. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. Negate the effects of an opponent's monster destroyed by battle with this card (including in the GY). When this card attacks, that monster it battles with its base ATK/DEF (If it has a ATK of ?, it's ATK becomes 0). Up to twice per turn If your opponent would target this card with a card effect that would banish or destroy it during your turn, you can send 1 Normal Dragon monster from your deck to the GY; Negate the effect. If this card is destroyed by a opponent's card (Battle or card effect), Target 1 Normal Dragon monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

Select 1 Dragon monster you control that is Level/Rank 5 or higher. Banish 1 Dragon monster with a lower from your GY and then this turn if your selected monster destroys a monster in battle and they control another monster, it can attack once more, but only the selected monster can attack this turn.

When destroyed by a opponent's card in battle, Special Summon 1 Plant monster with 1500 ATK or less from your deck to your side of the field.
