Chapter 6: King of the Cards

Back at the bunker, Jordan and Manda were watching me as I looked over my Dragon deck.
Lord Pridmoor then replied, "I do miss my castle, Riley. We need to do all we can to take that fool down once and for all."
His son Riley nodded and he continued to watch me go through my deck and he smiled and replied, "You have one of the best Dragons decks I ever seen, Ashlee. You could win any tournament with the powerful deck you have."
I smiled back at him and replied, "It took a lot of cards to make the deck I always wanted and I'm happy with what I have now."
Riley then replied, "After watching the duel from his private room, he won't want to duel your Deck, Ashlee. Who's going to duel here?"
Erica raised her hand and I nodded and replied, "You should have no trouble defeating him, hon."
"I really do hope you can take that armored windbag down. We've been out of our former home for 2 years now. I Can't wait to get back home.", Riley said with a sigh.
"I Won't let any of you down."
Manda then replied, "Sis, if I can ask, how did you decide on a Dragon deck with the cards you used?"
"Of course it's okay to ask, sis."
The others in the room faced me as I started my story, "Ever since I was a little girl, dad and grandpa took me fishing all around the Southern part of Alabama and in Panama CIty area the Beach area of Florida and each time, I had the time of my life. Grandpa Lou asked me what kind of deck I wanted to use, I said a Dragon deck and he was actually supportive of it and wanted to see it before I would start my first tournament. During that time, I searched for the Dragon cards and I finally finished up and then it happened."
Me and my sister sighed sadly and replied, "Before he had a chance to see me use it, he passed away from a blood clot in his heart and kidney failure. He was only 79 and was a big part of our mom's world. After he passed on and we went to his funeral, I decided to keep working on this deck in his honor and finally I added the last 3 cards I wanted for it and I now I can duel with his honor now. I'll use this deck with all my heart and soul and every time I duel with this deck now, I have a little bit of his spirit in my deck at all times and he will be my side for good as well."
Manda sighed and replied, "When Grandpa Lou passed on, It hurt me big time as well, sis. He was such a amazing guy and I wish I got to know him more, but he was getting sick and we knew we were too late to visit him."
I got up and walked over to her and resumed, "We'll get through this and life together, sis."
She smiled as they both walked up and hugged each other and then Lord Pridmoor nodded and replied, "You are a really noble young lady, Ashlee. You duel with heart and to remember someone you knew and loved is really amazing in my eyes. I think your grandpa would be so proud of you right now."
She smiled at him and then Malory then replied, "Isn't their a rumor they are three ritual duel arenas on this Island, Lord Pridmoor?"
"I heard about that too, Malory. Duelists from our island have been looking for it for years now and even that Treasure Knight tried his best to look for it and he couldn't even find it as well. It maybe just a rumour, but for our three duelists, we'll keep a ear and a eye out for any information about that sanctuaries."
Manda then replied, "Awesome. Where should we go for next after this duel, Riley?"
"Riley looked at the maps and Riley nodded and replied, "They should try to go after Specter Knight in the Lich Yard, dad. We've been wanting to go after him for months now and this is our perfect time to strike and then we can finally get that key."
"You always had the best plans, son. Call the Gastromoner and tell him we're ready for dinner, Malory."
She nodded as she got up and left the meeting room.

Later that night in the prison area of the tower, Rose was sitting on a nearby bench.
She sighed and replied, "I was so darn close to defeating that kid. I had the best cards and she gets a lucky draw with that dragon deck."
The back doors opened up and Black Knight walked in and he walked over to Fire Princess's cell and he replied, "You ready to leave now, fire bug? Your time behind bars is over now."
She nodded and replied, "About time I get out of this rathole. Where do I go now?"
"Anywhere you want. The Enchantress wants nothing to do with you since you lost. If you're caught anywhere near our key locations, we'll have you arrested again and be here even longer."
"With a send off like that, I can't wait to be caught by you fools again."
The knight let out his annoying laugh and the spirit nodded and replied, "At least I don't have to worry about hearing that annoying laugh anymore."
She quickly took her duel disk and deck from a nearby table and ran off and he smiled and replied, "Enjoy those cards we gave you, fool."
He saw the newest prisoner and replied, "Our newest prisoner. Welcome to your home for the next 4 days, Rose. I'd give you a lof of treats and happiness and if I did that, this would be more of a vacation instead of a classic imprisonment."
He then let out another laugh and the spirit ignored him as she sat down on her bench and he resumed, "Enjoy your time here and we'll chat tomorrow."
He quickly left the room and she sighed and replied, "Good riddance. I hate that laugh more then losing right now."

That next morning, we were enjoying breakfast in the dining area of the bunker. The cook decided on a meal of eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage gravy over biscuits and juice & milk. Each of the girls loved meat dishes and each loved going to vegan and vegetarian restaurants as well.
I sighed and replied, "This food reminds me of my mom's home cooking. I love it all."
They continued to eat and then I looked at my girl and replied, "Ready to take that armored pain in the ass today?"
She smiled and replied, "I added a few other cards to my deck last night and I think it's better then before."
I smiled and then I went into my shorts left pocket and took out a card in a card sleeve and she replied, "This card might help out your deck more, Erica."
I handed her the card and I saw it and she smiled and replied, "I've been looking for this card for a long time now. Thank you so much for such a cool card, my dear."
She smiled to me as she quickly took out of the sleeve and then slid it into my deck and Riley nodded and replied, "I can't wait until he finally falls in true defeat! We've been waiting for years to take that idiot down and you guys are our best plans in order to get the job done."
We all kept on eating and Dennis walked in and Riley saw him and replied, "What's up from the future?"
He sighed and repeied, "Those two kids that almost got in trouble for trying to date? They were caught again by that asshole knight. They both got a 1 month with hard labor and they were sent to separate jails in Los Angeles. We need to stop that dark wench before this happens all over the world! The world is a miserable place ever since that horrid woman took it over. We need to stop and seal her up before it gets to that point, dad."
He sighed and replied, "I know, son. I know."
I looked at his son Dennis and I replied, "You have the power to teleport to other eras?"
"I can only check out in 2074 where that Enchantress has taken over everything. Trust me on this. We need you ladies to stop her and those knights from taking over the world!"
"We'll do what we can to save the day, Dennis."
"I really hope so for the futures sake, Ashlee. I Really do hope so."

Inside of the royal arena, Jordan was waiting for King Knight to finally arrive. His knights were already there and they wouldn't let them leave until the duel was over and he had a new knight to help him and it was a Duel Spirit Dawn Knight. Jordan was sitting with Riley and Manda at a nearby table and then Jordan looked around then replied, "Where the heck is he anyway?"
Dawn Knight ran towards the back door and he replied, "Time for you to fall in defeat, lady! You're going to face a very powerful duelist and the true honor of Pridmoor Keep and we're thinking of renaming it to King Keep instead!"
"Don't even think about doing that until you actually win this duel, buddy!", A angry Riley yelled out.
The knight sighed and replied, "We were only kidding around, so take a joke already."
"Stealing their home and throwing them out is not nice in any way and your humor is in poor taste any way!", Erica yelled out.
"Whatever you say, kid. Time to bring forth our champion! Here he is! the owner and Usurper of Pridemoor Keep! Here is the mighty and powerful King Knight!"
The knights all cheered as the golden armored knight wearing a red cape and wielding a scepter walked into the area as the doors closed behind him and his bodyguard was by his side and he saw the gang and replied, "You the three kids that are giving the Quarter of New Order the trouble we don't need right now. Which one of you I'm I facing today?"
I raised my hand and the Knight nodded and replied, "I've heard of your skills as a Beast duelist, kid. Let's get this duel done with already, child."
His scepter glowed and then it turned into a golden duel disk made of 24 karat gold and many rare jewels all over the disk and Riley replied, "What a damn showoff he is."
The knight looked at him and resumed, "Petty words coming from a child of a leader that has failed before."
Riley ignored that horrid remark and the knight looked back at Erica and resumed, "Let's get this duel on then."
She nodded as he walked towards them and then both activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards.
"Game on!", they both yelled out.

The Knight nodded and resumed, "I want to beat you and quickly, so I'm going first. I summon my Stellarknight Deneb."
He played the card and a tall armored knight of light appeared (ATK: 1,500) and Riley nodded and resumed, "I was either expecting Noble Knights or these Knights or just a Lighyray deck as well."
The knight ignored him and then resumed, "When I Normal Summon Deneb, I can get another Stellarknight from my deck."
She quickly grabbed a card and then resumed, "That's all for now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I now summon my Throughbred Elf."
She played the card and a muscular elf wearing a leather jacket-like piece of clothing appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Destroy his Knight."
The mighty Warrior went and gave the knight a punch to the chest and glowed with even more light and blew into small shards of light (King Knight LP: 8000 - 7700).
"There you go. I end my turn now."
The knight drew a card and then resumed, "I'll set a monster and 2 cards and that's all for me."
She drew a card and then resumed, "I now summon my Anarchist Monk Ranshin."
She played the card as the aged monk appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Destroy his facedown monster."
The monk aimed his staff and a magical bolt of energy shot out and a Dawn Knight appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) as the bolt of energy struck him and blew it to little shards of light and he took another monster from his deck and then her Elf charged in and he nodded and resumed, "Not going to happen, kid. I activate Defense Draw."
The trap appeared and he drew a new card.
"Crap. That's all for me I guess."
He drew a card and then he resumed, "I opened up my Pendulum Scales now."
He did so and then resumed, "I place Satellarknight Zefrathuban in my blue scale and then my Stellarknight Zefraxciton in my red scale."
He slid the cards into the slot and the Pendulum columns of red and blue light appeared and both Stellarknight monsters flew into their correct towers and the the number 1 appeared on the blue one and then a 7 appeared on the red one.
"I can only Pendulum Stellarknight monsters, but that's all I need right now. I now Pendulum Summon my Satellarknight Unukalhai and my Satellarknight Rigel!"
He played the cards and a knight with a metal tall-iike object through the back of his armor (ATK: 1,800) appeared and then another knight of light appeared with a weapon with a glowing robe with a spiked sphere appeared (ATK: 1,900) and then he resumed, "I won't use Rigel's effect, but I'll use my first one's effect to ditch another knight from my deck."
He took a card and discarded it and then resumed, "I activate my A. Forces since almost of them are Warriors."
The spell appeared and both knights began to glow with intense light (ATK: 1,800 - 2,200) - (ATK: 1,900 - 2,300).
"Lets do this. Attack her monsters!"
Unukalhai went in and swung his sword at the Elf and she moaned and then shattered into pixelated triangles that flew around around the field and then Rigel swung his weapon and it shot and struck his monk down and blew him to little pieces as well (Erica LP: 8000 - 7200) and she resumed, "I'll banish one of the monsters in your graveyard now."
The knight then resumed, "You won't be do anything like that, kid. I activate my facedown card."
The trap appeared.
"It's call Wall of Protection. You try to use a card effect of any kind against a card in my graveyard, I can pay 500 lifepoints to negate it and then your card is banished facedown as well."
He moaned (King Knight LP: 7700 - 7200) and then her card appeared and dissolved into particles of light.
"There you go. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and then she nodded and resumed, "I activate my Mystical Space Typhoon."
The spell appeared and it shot out and smashed the A. Forces to bits (ATK: 2,300 - 1,900) - (ATK: 2,200 - 1,800).
"I now summon my Goblindbergh and bring forth with his ability my Learning Elf."
She played the card and the goblin pilot flew in and landed (ATK: 1,400) and the beautiful elf girl appeared next to him (ATK: 1,400) and then the flyer knelt (DEF: 0).
"I Overlay my 2 Level 4 monsters."
They both turned into glowing orbs and a portal opened up and they flew into.
"I Xyz Summon my Kachi Kochi Dragon."
He played the card and the beautiful dragon of light appeared (ATK: 2,100) and Manda smiled and resumed, "I've always liked that Xyz monster as well."
"I play my Banner of Courage."
The spell appeared and the large banner appeared.
"I attack your weaker knight first."
The dragon roared (ATK: 2,100 - 2,300) as a burst of white shards shot out and stabbed into the knight and blew him to shards (King Knight LP: 7200 - 6700) and she discarded the Elf's card and it let out more shards of light and they flew in and blew Rigel to bits as well (King Knight LP: 6700 - 6300) and she discarded a new card for her Elf's effect and resumed, "That's all for now, knight."
He drew a card and then resumed, "You won't beat me, kid. I activate Spellbook inside the Pot."
They both drew 3 cards and then resumed, "Let's see you handle this one. I Pendulum Summon my Satellarknight Vega and my Tellarknight Altairan."
He played and two more armored knights of light appeared (ATK: 1,200) - (ATK: 1,700).
"I overlay my 2 Level 4 Light monsters."
Both Knights turned into small white orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I summon a mighty warrior of the light! I Xyz Summon my Starliege Paladynamo!"
He played the card and a armored knight of light appeared (ATK: 2,100).
"I'll drop both of his Xyz monsters to weaken your Dragon!"
He did so and small spots of light all over the dragon (ATK: 2,100 - 0).
"Destroy it!"
The Warrior went and swung his sword at the mighty Dragon and it roared in pain before it exploded in a shower of small white shards & dust (Erica LP: 7200 - 5100).
"Take that, kid! I end my turn now."
She drew a card and then resumed, "I'll set a card for later and a monster as well and that's all for me."
She drew a card and then resumed, "I summon my Satellarknight Sirius."
He played the card and another knight of light appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"With his effect, I can return 5 Satellearknight cards to my deck and then draw a new card.
He took his Deneb, Unukalhai, Rigel, Vega and his Altarian and shuffled the cards into his deck and then drew a card and resumed, "Lets do this. Rigel, attack!"
He went in and Erica smiled and resumed, "Try this, big guy. I activate my Malevolent Catastrophe!"
The trap appeared and a huge storm began and both of his pendulum towers collapsed into red and blue glass-like shards as his Warrior continued on in and a Skelengel appeared on the card (DEF: 500) and he swung his sword at it and it shattered and then she drew a card.
"Starliege, attack!"
He went in and she quickly replied, "I Special Summon my Junk Defender."
She quickly played the card and a large bulky warrior appeared (DEF: 1,800 - 2,100) and the Xyz slammed his sword into it and didn't even dent it.
"Curse you, kid. I have nothing else I can do."
She drew a new card and then resumed, "I summon my Master of Flaming Dragonswords."
She played the card and the fiery sword master appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I now play Harmonic Winds to turn my Junk Defender from Level 3 to 4."
The bulky warrior glowed (LV: 3 - 4).
"I overlay my 2 Level 4 monsters."
Her monsters turned into small white orbs and a portal opened up and they flew into.
"I bring forth a monster that uses the power of music! I Xyz Summon my Tem Tem the Drummer Music Knight."
She played the card and loud drums were played as a A young knight wearing a brown suit of armor with a large set of drums for weapons with small wooden mallets to use them with appeared (ATK: 1,900) and Manda nodded and resumed, "I've heard of these music knights. They are Warrior remakes of those Music Djinn Xyz monsters and they are stronger and their effects are supposed to have better effects as well."
"I Use his ability. I remove a Xyz Material and then your monster loses 200 attack equal to its level and if your monster was a Xyz which it is, it loses 300 attack times its rank instead and then my monster gains 500 attack no matter which of these effects happened."
She discarded the card and he drummed even more and began to glow (ATK: 1,900 - 2,400) and then his moaned stopped glowing (ATK: 2,100 - 900).
"There we go. Destroy his Xyz with Deep Drum Solo Blast!"
The knight smiled and continued to play his drum and 3 bolts of energy shot out and slammed into the Xyz, tearing through him like it was made of paper. The remains fell into a crumpled heap and dissolved into particles of light (King Knight LP: 6300 - 4800) and he groaned and resumed, "Ouch. When he's wiped out, I draw a card."
He drew a new card from his deck.
"Your move now, knight."
He drew a card and then resumed, "I'll switch Sirius to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for me."
She drew a card and she nodded and resumed, "I summon my Burgundy the Magic Elf."
The card appeared and a elf wearing a purple outfit and wearing a white mask appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Lets do this. Burgundy will attack first."
Her mask glowed as a burst of small purple shards shot out and pierced through his knight and blew him to shards.
"Tem Tem, attack!"
He played his drums as much as he could and two bolts of magical energy shot out and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and the attack blew the jar to little pieces and He discarded two cards and then she discarded a Gagaga Apprentice Magician and both drew 5 cards and she smiled and resumed, "Burgundy has a neat ability. When you dscard a card while he's on the field, you take 400 damage for each card!"
More small purple shards flew out and slammed into his armor (King Knight LP: 4800 - 4000). I was really impressed with her deck right now. It has the strongest and neatest of cards I've ever seen and it's been taking this knight down quite well so far."
"There you go! I end my turn now."
He drew a card and he smiled and resumed, "Try this, brat! Since I have 5 or more Light monsters still in my graveyard, I Special Summon my Lightray Gearfried!"
He played the card and a huge and mighty Warrior of light appeared (ATK: 2,800) and Manda saw the huge Warrior and she moaned and resumed, "That thing can be really dangerous and can really lock down her deck."
"I now summon my Satellarknight Alsahm!"
She played the card and another knight of light appeared and he had two swords of light (ATK: 1,400) and the knight resumed, "When this one is summoned, you take 1000 damage!"
He swung his swords and they struck her (Erica LP: 5100 - 4100).
"Destroy her Elf!"
The bulky Warrior went and swung his sword down, cutting Burgundy in twain. The remains glowed with light before they dissolved into purple fiery embers (Erica LP: 4100 - 2900).
"Gotcha, kid. I'll set a card and that's all for me."
She drew a card and then he resumed, "I activate Breakthrough Skill on your monster!"
His facedown flipped up.
"Whatever you say. I'll switch him to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for me."
He drew a card and then resumed, "I summon my Lightray Grepher."
He played and Grepher's light form (Other then Knight Day Grepher) appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Lets do this. Grepher, attack!"
He charged in and a Necro Gardna appeared on the card (DEF: 1,300) and he swung his sword at it the Dark Warrior and blew him into shards and the Knight moaned and then resumed, "No point at attacking your monster then. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and she resumed, "Your loss. I summon my Chow Sai the Ghost Stopper."
She played and her favorite dark-robed monk appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"I'll now banish my Breakthrough Skill to negate your monster's effect."
She took the card and did so and then the Knight resumed,"I'll banish Sirius to stop that."
He quickly did so and then Manda smiled and resumed, "He fell for it big time."
"Since I know your monster can only use his effect once a turn, I can now safetly equip my monster with Xyz Unit!"
The spell appeared and he began to play his drums even more (ATK: 1,900 - 2,700) and then she switched him to attack position and then she removed the final monster from it and he glowed with power (ATK: 2,700 - 3,200) and then his warrior moaned (ATK: 2,800 - 1,200).
"Destroy his Warrior!"
It started to play his drums like crazy as a huge burst of energy shot out and slammed into it. Me, Riley and Manda cheered as the huge Warrior exploded in a shower of colorful lights that lit up the courtyard even more.
"Chow Sai, attack!"
He closed his eyes and chanted as a burst of small black shards shot out and blew his weaker knight to pieces (King Knight LP: 4000 - 1500).
"There you go! I end my turn now."
The knight drew his card and then resumed, "I activate Monster Reborn!"
The spell appeared and his Dawn Knight appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"I'll activate Fiend's Sanctuary!"
The spell appeared and the beady token appeared (ATK: 0).
"I now tribute all 3 of my tokens to summon one of the best Warrior monsters in this silly card game!"
All three of his monsters shattered into small shards of light as the mighty Gilford the Lightning appeared (ATK: 2,800) and he pointed his sword as a huge burst of light shot and blasted her Xyz and her Chow Sai to pieces and she groaned and resumed, "I banish your Chalice and then I draw a card since he was destroyed somehow with one or less Xyz Material monsters."
The knight banished the card and he resumed, "No big loss. Attack her directly!"
The mighty Warrior charged and swung his sword and knocked her to the ground (Jordan LP: 2900 - 100) and then he nodded and resumed, "You'll never beat me, kid. I end my turn now."
She slowly stood up and then she drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Summoner Monk."
She played the card and another robed monk appeared (ATK: 800) and then she knelt (DEF: 1,600).
"I now Special Summon my Kagetokage."
She played the card and the shadowy lizard appeared (ATK: 1,100)
"I use my Summoner Monk's effect and I'll discard a Spell Card to Special Summon a Level 4 monster from my graveyard and I choose my Giltia the Dark Knight."
She discarded her Xyz Align to the graveyard and the light form of Giltia the D. Knight appeared (ATK: 1,850).
"I overlay my 3 Level 4 monsters."
All 3 monsters turned into glowing white orbs and the orbs flew into the sky and out of sight.
"I Xyz summon a powerful monster of light! I Xyz Summon my Bujinki Amaterasu!"
It played the card and the robed Xyz appeared with a beautiful sword (ATK: 2,600) and Manda nodded and resumed, "On a good way to hopefully winning."
"I equip my Xyz with Stoic Challenge!"
The spell appeared and flew into his sword (ATK: 2,600 - 4,800) and the knight groaned and resumed, "I was so close to beating you!"
"Not close enough. Finish his last monster off!"
He charged in and swung his sword at the Warrior and it moaned in pain before it exploded in a shower of colorful shards of light that rained down on the knight down (King Knight LP: 1600 - 0) and I smiled and replied, "Damn good dueling, my dear."
I smiled back at her and then King Knight groaned and replied, "wait in the courtyard and I'll give you everything you won today, young lady."
He took the two cards he wagered and flung them at me and I grabbed them both as the defeated knight walked in with his fellow knights following him inside.

You can remove 1 Xyz Material from this card and then target 1 monster your opponent controls, it loses 200 ATK x it's Level and if the monster is a Xyz monster, it loses ATK equal to the Rank of the Xyz monster x 300 and then Rank 4 or lower Xyz monsters you control 500 ATK until the End Phase of the turn. When this card is destroyed by a opponent's card while it has 1 or less Xyz Material monsters, draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Tem Tem the Drummer Music Knight" once per turn.
