Greetings, everyone. Mgunnels3 here, and for those waiting for arc 2 of this Journey Across Dimensions, you got it now. My first sequel for a story I've written as of late. Let's say we have much more coming into this story as we deal with multiple arcs in this dimension. You'll see if you watched this anime back in the late '90s, and I know that I am going to mess things up, but I stopped watching this anime after 2005, so yeah, thank you for my Collab partner, DraconicFireLord for a lot of things, so let's get this chapter going shall we?
Chapter 1: The World of Digimon: A New Member of the Family: Welcome Falcomon
We join our heroes; Ash, Snowy, Pikachu, and Solgaleo, who are deciding what to do next. Ash knew he had to let everyone know what happened and that he was in a new dimension.
Ash called Lusamine first to let her know what was happening. "Hello, Ash. It's good to hear from you since our last talk. Is everything okay? Is Lillie safe and Gladion as well?" Lusamine asked Ash, who sighed.
"Gladion is heading back to your dimension, given that the situation might get worse with a specific Team Rocket Member; as for Lillie, she was sent to another dimension, which is the one we are currently in." Ash took a deep breath. "A lot has happened since we last spoke," Ash said as he told Lusamine what had happened up till he parted ways from the Yugioh Dimension including what happened with him. But the one thing that worried her was what Ash said about Solgaleo being unable to return to their world.
"Ash, I don't know what to say about you specifically, but as for your situation about returning to us, I'm sure if you figure out what is going on, saving this dimension might help you two get back to our world. Sadly, that also means we can't send you help or support, and we might have to shorten your contact with me until further notice. However, if this member is that dangerous, I can see why you want Gladion back home; keep me in touch as to what is going on, please, and contact me when you find Lillie," Lusamine said to Ash, who nodded. "Lusamine out," Lusamine ended the conversation.
Lusamine turned to everyone there and filled them in about what happened.
"ASH IS AN ALIEN?!" Every one of his companions was stunned.
Bonnie turned to Serena. "Well well well, look at your taste in men Serena. You like them exotic. Serena flushed scarlet. Dammit Bonnie, she screamed in her mind.
Ash sighed at this. "As if this day couldn't get worse," Ash said as he got another call, it was from Goh. "Hey, Goh, it's been a while since we spoke. You okay since we parted?" Ash asked Goh.
"Minus that weird Earthquake we had, yeah, my mission is now done, and I am ready to come back to help you guys. Wait, you don't look like you're in the virtual world," Goh asked Ash.
Ash sighs and lets him know what happened since he's been gone from the whole thing with the Big 5, Gozaburo, Noah Annie, and Oakley. Up to him being in a new dimension. While Ash was talking to Goh, little did he know it, but he was being watched from afar as Goh was about to go on a tirade that was worse than Lusamine, but had to let it go for now.
"I'm sorry about that Ash, and I wish that I could've finished the mission sooner, but if you or I can find a way to get any help, I'll let you know; I'll also let Dragonite know this as well as she's probably gotten worried about you and the others since you left her there in Alola," Goh said to Ash.
"Maybe Lunala, but that would put her in the same situation as Solgaleo as they have the same abilities. It's too risky. I'll keep in touch and call you when I find Lillie," Ash said to Goh, who nodded as Ash ended his call.
"I guess we should go ahead and look around. We don't know where we are, although it's nice to be in civilization this time," Ash said to everyone, who nodded as they couldn't figure out anything just by standing around. They exited the roof through the entrance on the top, though Pikachu sensed that they were being watched and turned to where they were, only for nothing to be there.
Elsewhere with Lillie, who was passed out on the other side of town, only for her to be awoken by the sound of a female voice. "Hey, come on, wake up, please be okay," the voice said to Lillie, who woke up with a headache due to her fall.
"Ugh, my head, where am I?" Lillie said, only to see a girl in pink with brownish-blond hair and a similar hat to her. Lillie wasn't scared upon seeing someone, given she had been through this before; however, this time, a Greenish creature with a pink plant on its head was beside her. 'Okay, not the weirdest thing I've seen,' Lillie thought.
"I'm so glad you are okay; seeing someone passed out is so weird. My name is Mimi, Mimi Tachikawa, and this is my Digimon partner Palmon," Mimi said to Lillie as Palmon raised her arm in acknowledgment.
"Uh, Digimon? What's that? My name is Lillie Aether; where am I?" Lillie asked Mimi, who needed clarification as to what Lillie meant by where she was. Lillie looked around, glad to see that she was in a civilization and a real one, unlike the virtual world.
"Uh, did you hit your head so hard that you don't know where you are? We're in Japan, and it's nice to meet you, Lillie. But from how you were knocked out, it looked like you were attacked by one of Myotismon's minions, given that they've been around in this area lately," Mimi said to Lillie as Lillie was even more confused. "I taken that you aren't from this world if you are unfamiliar with all this?" Mimi said to Lillie.
"Oh, no, I'm familiar with Japan as it's something in my dimension; it's just I never expected to be in it, though it looks different from what I've seen in magazines and all that," Lillie said to Mimi, who was now curious about what she meant by dimensions. " I think you should tell me what is happening on your end before I explain what is happening on mine," Lillie suggested. Mimi sighed and nodded.
Mimi explained what was going on; about what a Digimon is, given how Lillie would probably not understand what they are, and all that. Lillie understood what was going on and that they were looking for someone who was another member of their group so far.
"I see, so you all are the good guys, but I don't know what is going on, as I don't have a place to live or know my way around here?" Lillie said to Mimi.
"Well, I still need to know who you are and what you are doing here?" Mimi asked Lillie, who sighed and explained what had happened until now. Mimi, while she was more of an airhead, was making some sense of it given how she's been through the digital world and weirder things, and these Pokemon did sound like Digimon quite a bit.
"I must say you've been through a lot, and I can't imagine a perverted Penguin would do that; I think we'd rather not talk about it, especially given how I don't know what is going on either, though, if you are here then that means that your friend must've come here as well," Mimi said as she was shocked and disgusted by what Lillie went through in the previous dimension. "Well, since you don't know your way around here, I'll try to talk to my parents to see if you can stay with us until things are fully settled. if you are okay with that, Lillie?" Mimi suggested as Lillie thought and nodded as she had nothing better to do now.
The two went off to the subway to get to her house. Meanwhile, with Ash and the Pokemon, Solgaleo was invisible, to not stand out as Ash was sure that people would be questioning a big lion walking around more than a human with a mouse and a white fox by his side. Pikachu still had a feeling that someone was watching the group and heard something and launched a thunderbolt attack in that direction trying to hit what was following them.
"Easy there, I'm not here to cause harm," A male voice called out to Ash and Pikachu as Pikachu stopped.
"Who's there, and why are you following us?" Ash asked as he was looking in the direction of where Pikachu let out his attack. It was a bird-like creature with black and purple colored feathers, something that Ash had never seen before, and he tried to scan it on his Pokedex only for no information to show up.
"You won't be able to look me up on that device as it's unknown here or would it know about me. My name is Falcomon; I'm a Digimon and arrived here recently, like you, all did." Falcomon introduced himself to Ash and the others.
"You've been following us; why, and what is a Digimon?" Ash asked the little guy. Falcomon could tell that Ash wasn't aware of what they were. Then again, most humans needed to become more familiar with them, in his opinion.
"I'm from a different world than the current world we are in, and I'm from a village in that world. As for why I am following you, my village told stories about people who traveled from different lands and dimensions, and as soon as I Digivolved and arrived here, I saw and heard everything you said. I know that I found the said human as there have been humans in my world recently, and I want a partner as it's kinda a right of passage for some of my kind," Falcomon said to Ash, who, while was still unaware of what that means kinda understand that he is out for a trainer of sorts. However, Pikachu, on the other hand, was apprehensive about it.
Pikachu is about to ask what Falcomon meant, but Ash stops him. "We don't want another Riolu moment, do we, Pikachu," Ash reminded Pikachu about that, who pouted and sighed, turning to Falcomon, who could tell that Pikachu was a bit mad upon hearing this. "Look, since we are new here and don't know what this dimension is about, any help is needed, and we can't deny help for him as well, just as long as you two get along, please?" Ash said to both of them. Snowy was confused as to why Pikachu was acting like this.
"Fine, if you say so, Ash," Pikachu said and turned to Falcomon. "Just remember that I'm Ash's main partner and starter from our dimension. If you don't make me jealous, or mad, I'm willing to work with you in return," Pikachu reluctantly agreed as Falcomon nodded.
"Deal and relax, Pikachu. Like you guys, we Digimon are the types to like fighting and training. And I'm the type to like battles and fight for my friends and make them as well," Falcomon said as Pikachu and Ash noticed how he sounded. It was almost similar to how Ash is as a trainer, which Falcomon noticed how similar he as Ash were.
"That's it, you just ticked me off, buddy," Pikachu said as Snowy stood in front of him before a fight could break out.
"Enough, Pikachu. We just met him, and I don't think he did that on purpose. Let's leave it be, please, and remember that is how I acted in the past," Ash said to Pikachu, who didn't know what was happening but had to accept it.
"I must apologize. That is how I was in my previous form. Please understand I didn't do that to make you mad, Pikachu, and I want to work with Ash. Please accept me, given that this world and dimension is in a bad state because of a hidden villain in my world," Falcomon said to Ash and Pikachu as he walked over to Ash.
"Sure, I'll be happy to help. We're here on a mission ourselves, and helping this world might help us get back to our dimension one day, and we got some time to do so," Ash said to Falcomon and bent down to his level as Falcomon handed his wing out to Ash who accepted it.
Just as Ash touched his wing, his hand started to glow as a strange device appeared in his hand.
Huh? What is this? I've never seen this device before?" Ash said to Falcomon, who smiled.
"That there is called a Digivice; it ties a Digimon and their partner to each other and is how we Digivolve further past our Rookie stage, which is what I am at," Falcomon explained to Ash while not trying to make Pikachu even more mad than he already was as Falcomon turned to Pikachu. "It's needed for us to grow, and we return to our forms after Digivolving, but it depends on how far we go," Falcomon said to Pikachu.
"Huh? What do you mean by that? Back in my dimension, once someone evolves, they stay in that form from that point onwards unless they have another stage of evolution?" Ash said to Falcomon, who sighed.
"You'll see when the time comes when we fight against the forces of darkness, as there are more Digimon here in this world other than myself, seven, from what I heard, so we should try to get along, and I have taken that there are others with you?" Falcomon asked Ash, who nodded.
"I suggested that you battle with one of my Pokemon so I can see what abilities and skills you have, given that I don't know how you Digimon operate?" Ash said to Falcomon, who smirked.
"Well, now you are speaking my language, as battling is what we Digimon are born to do. However, we should do this out of the eyes of the humans here, and we don't want anyone getting hurt, or attract any evil Digimon." Falcomon suggested to Ash, who looked around and noticed that there were too many people around, and nodded. "I'd say, that roof you two were on before we met should work perfectly, it's big enough, and no one's there," Falcomon said. They were pretty close to it and headed that way as Solgaleo went ahead of them.
The group arrived at the building that Ash and the others were in. When they arrived in this dimension, Ash let out Sirfetch for the training as he looked at Falcomon.
"What kind of Pokemon is that? I've never seen this one before?" Sirfetch'd said to Ash.
"It's difficult to explain, but he's with us, and we want to see his battle capabilities. You seem to be a good choice for him as you're the same size, and I'd rather not let Pikachu's situation with him get in the way of this battle," Ash said to Sirfetch'd, who realized that he was speaking typically and not Pokespeech.
"It's not just you, everyone on the team, but let's deal with that later," Pikachu said, crossing his arms and not happy that he was called out like that.
"Remind me not to tick you off one day, Pikachu, if you are going to be like this," Sirfetch'd said to Pikachu and turned to Falcomon, who was ready to train and see some of his teammate's skills in action. "Humph, don't think I'll go easy on you, newbie," Sirfetch told Falcomon.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from you, fellow avian," Falcomon said as he got into position and took a battle stance.
"Okay, guys, we need to keep the explosions to a minimum here, so let's try not to do anything drastic," Ash said to the two, who nodded.
"I'll let you two go first," Falcomon suggested to Ash, who was curious about what he had planned but nodded. "Okay, use Furry Cutter, Sirfetch'd," Ash commanded his Pokemon, who started to swing at Falcomon.
"Scratch Smash," Falcomon said as he scratched the Furry Cutter with his wings, though it was landing a blow to count for the damage dealt for the Furry Cutter as Falcomon was warming up, as did Sirfetch'd.
"I noticed that you are calling out your attacks. Is that wise, given that it might lead to predictability," Ash said to Falcomon.
"Says the guys who are giving the orders. It's what we Digimon do anyway; enough talk," Falcomon said to Ash. "Ninja Blade," Falcomon launched a flurry of stars at Sirfetch'd.
"Brutal Swing, knock them out of there," Ash commanded Sirfetch, who slammed his leak through the stars and at Falcomon.
"Firecracker Smokescreen," Falcomon dropped some bamboo cylinders towards Sirfetch'd as it exploded as it got near him.
"Detect, let's go, Sirfetch'd," Ash commanded, who barely dodged it when the attack reached him. Falcomon saw this and used it to his advantage when Sirfetch'd guard was down.
"Wing Blade," Falcomon used as he was blasting air from his wings that looked like an Air Slash, hitting Sirfetch'd thankfully not doing too much damage given that Falcomon was holding back some of his power for practice.
"Brutal Swing and Fury Cutter," Ash commanded Sirfetch, who used both moves, swinging his leak towards Falcomon.
"Shadow Screen," Falcomon made clones of himself so that the attack was hitting all of them, but Falcomon wasn't there. "Falco Rush," Falcomon was on Sirfetch's head and was doing damage to him as he got off and was impressed.
"H-how is he capable of keeping up with me," Sirfetch'd said to himself, which surprised Pikachu. Not even his speed could pull that off, even if he could use Double Team. He wasn't jealous now but impressed that he could handle one of Ash's top Pokemon.
"Are you done holding back, you two? I still have one more move for you, and I want to use it on your best move," Falcomon said as he still wanted to fight, and that impressed both Ash and Sirfetch'd, who turned to Ash and nodded.
"Well, I wasn't planning on using this move on you, but if you want to prove yourself to Sirfetch'd's signature move, you got it. Meteor Assult now Sirfetch'd," Ash commanded his Pokemon, who pointed his leak at Falcomon and was ready to charge.
"Beak Attack," Falcomon charges at Sirfetch'd with a sharp beak now shown. Sirfetch'd charges at Falcomon as the two moves clashed. The two were evenly matched for the time being as the two were sent back as both were exhausted.
"How? That's my best move. How'd you keep up against it," Sirfetch'd said to Falcomon.
"Humph, not bad, you two, to think that this is only the third stage of my line's evolution, and we still have at minimum two others after," Falcomon said to Ash and Sirfetch'd, who was surprised. If this wasn't his final form, how strong is he when at his full power, Sirfecth'd thought? Falcomon walked over to Ash. "As I mentioned before, my current stage as the rookie stage. We have Champion and Ultimate stages, though, in our current state, the latter is not possible. You'll see when you and I grow as a team, and this is what I meant earlier: that we Digimon call you humans our partners," Falcomon said to Ash.
"Well, we might as well call it a night. Just wish we knew where to sleep beforehand 'cause we just arrived in this dimension," Ash said to Falcomon, who sighed and nodded as Sirfetch'd walked over to Falcomon.
"Not bad. You battled a lot better than I thought you would. I can see why you want to be on our team," Sirfetch'd said to Falcomon.
"Alright, you can stay with us. You twisted my arm. Just remember that I'm still his main partner," Pikachu said to Falcomon, who sighed as he had already heard that message multiple times.
"You can stop telling me that, Pikachu, and you need to give up that inferiority complex there cause not everything is about you, and fighting with each other in this situation isn't worth it," Falcomon said to Pikachu who hated the fact that Falcomon had more of Ash's personality than he did, but he has a point.
Elsewhere, a boy with reddish hair and what looked to be a rhinoceros beetle, was dealing with something big on the opposite side of the city.
"Ugh, of all things to happen, just as we were en route to finding the Eight Digidestined, we had to run into Raremon," the boy said to his partner Digimon.
"Right now, we need to stop him before it can cause more harm to the city, Izzy," his partner Digimon told the boy.
"Right, we need to fight it, now, Kabuterimon," Izzy said as Raremon was about to attack the two of them, only for a beam of ice to be launched at the giant creature. "What the? Where did that come from?" Izzy said, only to turn around to see what looked like a Loch Ness Monster, with a blueish color and what looked to be a greyish pattern in the back of her. That didn't look like a Digimon, he thought. He looked it up, only for it not to be registered on his laptop. "How?"
"I think you should deal with that creature rather than ask questions," the creature said, which Izzy and Kabuterimon nodded as this was their chance to stop it.
"Right, let's end this, partner," Izzy said as Kabuterimon nodded.
"Electro Shocker," Kabuterimon sent a massive electric shock attack towards Raremon as the creature that helped the two of them blasted a massive water out its mouth to make a massive attack on Raremon. It was destroyed just as a devil bat showed up.
"Ugh, of all things to happen. Why do you two have to be involved with this," the bat said to the two as Kabuterimon was about to attack him, but he flew off. "This isn't the end of this. I'll be back," he said, flying off, not wanting to end up like Raremon.
"Of all the Digimon to be involved, it had to be Demidevilmon," Izzy said as he saw his partner was willing to give him a flight home as he accepted. "Thanks, I'll need it after all that running, and thanks for the help, whoever you are?" Izzy turned around to see the creature that helped them had vanished from them as it was under the water. "Huh? Where did I go?"
"We might want to deal with that some other time. We need to get home before more attention is made here as it looks like more humans are coming this way," Kabuterimon said to Izzy, who nodded and hopped onto his partner Digimon and took off.
Izzy sighed and looked at his laptop during the flight as it was a good enough spot to do so, only to see the Digivice had vanished from the area. "I guess we can say that the Eight Digidestined is not from this town, but why was it moving?" Izzy said.
"No clue, but you had me worried when you ran off like that, and I'm sure that your parents have figured out that you're gone," Kabuterimon said to Izzy, who sighed and nodded as they were coming to the area near where Ash was at as the device was picking up on another Digivice. "Huh? Why is there another signal, and it wasn't the one we were following?" Izzy said as he noticed Ash on the roof with what looked like three Digimon.
"We can talk to them tomorrow as we need to get home soon as I'm getting tired from that fight, Izzy," Kabuterimon said to Izzy, who nodded as he tried to figure out what was going on the next day and head home.
On the other hand, Ash saw Izzy and Kabuterimon in the sky. "Uh, oh, we might have a fight on our hands," Ash said to the team as Falcomon looked at the Digimon in question.
"I think that is one of the rumored Digimon that belongs to one of those humans I mentioned to you earlier. Plus, Kabuterimon is not the type to cause harm to innocents," Falcomon explained to Ash, who was still new to this and grasping this whole thing. "That's a Champion-level Digimon, and we shouldn't try to follow them until we know for certain they're on our side," Falcomon said.
"Right, we already fought in the form of training, so we can leave things be and probably sleep up here until further notice and try to find those two and maybe the rest of their friends tomorrow while there's still light," Ash said to Falcomon, who nodded. 'Hopefully, we can find Lillie tomorrow,' Ash thought. With that done, Ash recalled Sirfetch'd. Then he, Pikachu, Solgaleo, and Falcomon got ready for bed and were asleep.
Done and done. I wrote this chapter and special thanks to my collab writer for helping edit this chapter for me. Many things have been changed from the episode of the Eighth Digivice episode from the original series. As for Falcomon, that was someone that my collab writer DraconicFireLord's idea, and before I get this question, no, Lillie won't be getting a Digimon in this story. That said, we have more coming for this arc as it will last through to the end of the Dark Masters arc. That's all that I will say. See you next time.
