With a final yell from her, it was over. As I looked over to her I could see her body start to fade.

"So, everything is over"

"Yeah. This is it. There's nothing left"

"I see, then our contract is at an end. I became your sword, defeated your enemies, and protected you. I'm glad to have fulfilled this promise"

"Thank you, you did well, saber"

There was nothing left to say. Saber was far away and I did not run to her.

The sun rises and a gentle breeze starts going by. She fades away while we stand there, watching the sunrise in silence. While I was standing there I heard something move, similar to the sound of water. Looking over I see a dark thing flowing to a single point. It was the mud of the grail, a curse visible to the naked eye, I could only release a sigh at that, we went through everything, we suffered to destroy that thing, just for it to fail.

Resolving myself, I went to see where it was going to look for it later. After a bit of walking, I finally found where it was going, a piece of what seemed like gold, a piece of the grail. Making a note of the location I start heading back home, I still needed to make breakfast and wake tohsaka after all.

My body is made out of swords

My blood is of iron my heart a container of glass

After the war, or more specifically a year after, multiple things had come to light, the two important pieces were the alterations to both my sister and kohai, resulting in death and psychological issues respectively. In the end we were able to help my kohai and take out the crest worm that was corrupting her.

In the year after the war we had been able to collect the fragments of the grail, though we didn't have any way to safely dispose of them. In the end we had set up multiple bounded fields to act as a temporary solution. Along with finding the fragments I had been practicing that red archers magecraft and fighting style, I was close to mastering gradation air.

Within the next two years I had trained my magecraft and fighting style even more, even if my gradation air felt like it was missing something, as well as going to the clock tower with Tohsaka as her apprentice. While at the clock tower I had simply helped her, I didn't have much skill with magecraft anyway, though I had learnt some helpful spells including flash air, and runes. With the time spent in the clock tower, and their talk about atlas, I had come up with some ideas for the grail.

When the two year mark hit, I had said goodbye to that girl in red and started as a freelancer taking odd jobs. I had even taken jobs for the church where I met a curry-loving member of the clergy who had given me a holy shroud after an assignment I helped in. Through all of these assignments I was collecting pieces for my idea.

I have triumphed over numerous battlefields

Never backing down

Seven years later, I had made considerable progress with my idea, fighting style, and magecraft, I had figured out what was missing from my gradation air, a reality marble, this discovery had sped up my project, now I didn't need a physical forge for it, it was the infinite creation of swords after all.

A year later, I was still taking contracts, one even leading me to where that archer had made the contract, I had used a prototype from my project and successfully evacuated everyone inside. Hontai girochin, an Imaginary sword made from my mind using multiple curses and mysteries from inside unlimited blade works, it a was proof of concept

Never failing in my objective

Never living alone, the bearer is forging on a hill of cursed rust

Ten years, that's how long it took for me to master it, my reality marble. With me mastering it there had come an ease in finishing my project. Over the course of those tens years I had made more prototypes, testing the limits of the blades, and had come up with a loose idea for the design and forging of my goal, a container to hold the "mud" as well as the mana from the grail, and a curse that would focus on a single goal.

With the sixth year passed I was given a sealing designation, after hearing this I left most of my swords to tohsaka and her sister, my kohai, then went into hiding from the moonlit world. I had finished my project a year earlier, so I had no current goal except to save people, and my project could do that, it just needed the right circumstances to activate.

With the last year I was captured, betrayed when I went to help in a war, they had chosen to execute me. I was sure the mage association would find out soon enough, if they didn't know already, then come to take my corpse. While I walked towards the gallows I could see some familiar faces, though I focused on one in particular, Rin Tohsaka. She was looking at me with a complicated expression, it had sorrow, anger, and another emotion I couldn't pin down, it was similar to hope. I let out a small sigh and gave her a sad smile, the noose was being fitted around my neck. As they prepared to kill me I recited a soundless prayer, an aria, the sword at an end, one that brought legends to light, eventually even Durendal is broken, though a sword's end is not in its destruction, that sword, that legend, is always reforged. Shatter my soul, A Sword Shatter Reforge. And with the end of the aria the floor beneath me finally gave way.

A life not yet gone

This cursed body was of infinite blades
