Another day brought nice weather through out Kivotos. Shiroko thought to take advantage of it by going through her expansive biking route. Her bike rides took her to some of the other districts often which needless to say, were not short trips. It was simply natural to her for her rides to last hours and take her to places far away from Abydos.
As was such with today where she was currently riding on the sidewalk of the D.U., passing by pedestrians of various schools and other walks of life. The music playing through her headphones tunes out most of the noise that came from such a lively district, as such the Forecloser Taskforce Captain was only left with her music and her own thoughts.
As such, she continued on her ride through out the D.U., relativly uninterrupted until someone caught her eye. She was trying to be subtle in the crowd, but Shiroko couldn't not see her now that she recognized her. Wolf ears, long silver hair, and a dark dress. It was the Shiroko from the other timeline. To Shiroko, she looked a little lost. Not in the way that she didn't know where to go, but like she was in thought as she walked along.
'I guess, despite all that has happened, she must be pretty lonely.' Shiroko figures. 'She doesn't really have anyone much like in her universe. Maybe even worse so now that Pherenephates is gone.' Yanking out her earphones and shiving them into her bag, she made a decision to greet the other Shiroko. She rode up to the other Shiroko and offered her a simple greeting.
"Hello Shiroko." It was strange greeting someone with her own name.
The other Shiroko seemed somewhat surprised, if only for a second, before she went back to her more neutral expression.
"H-Hello, Shiroko. I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon." The other Shiroko responded.
"Nor was I expecting to see you as well." Shiroko responded in turn.
"I... I was taking on a job to make some yen. Have to eat, you know." The other Shiroko simply responded.
"Yes. I imagine its hard to find work." Shiroko says.
"I mostly take on jobs with deliquents and such. Its not something I particularly like, but sometimes it involes having steal something." The other Shiroko smiles slightly followed by the original Shiroko joining in.
"I imagine its quite lonely." Shiroko says. The silence she recives is all she needs to confirm this. "Why don't you come down to Abydos? We would all like to have you there."
"I want to, its just..." Shiroko alter hesitates. "Difficult. Not only because of what I did to you all, but because of what happened in my timeline."
"With the rest of our friends?" Shiroko asks, to which her counterpart silently nods. 'They had all died.' She remembers what her counterpart had said after she and sensei had beaten her on the Ark of Atrahasis. She tried to imagine what that would have been like for her, Serika just disappearing, finding Hoshino and Nonomi's corpse one day, and being present as an unresponsive Ayane passed away. It was too depressing of a thought to have, but she had to LIVE through all of that. "I... I guess I could understand." She finally says. "But wouldn't seeing all of them again be better than continuing life alone? They matter to you as much as they matter to me, and I would do anything to see them after such a long time."
As unexpressive as the both of them were, Shiroko knew the subtlies that the both of them gave off that told of how they truelly felt, and she could see that her counterpart truly did want to see them again.
"I can set it up so you don't have to see them all at once." Shiroko brought up.
"No... It'll be fine. I WANT to see them all again." The other Shiroko admits. The original Shiroko smiled slightly at her counterparts response.
"I can text them to tell them that you can come by, tommorrow? Would that work?" She asks herself.
"Yeah. I can come by, tomorrow." Her alternate confirmed. The original got on her phone and texted the Taskforce on momotalk.
"Okay, they know. So we'll all see you tomorrow then." Shiroko told her.
"Yeah..." The other Shiroko nervously confimed. "Say, I don't live too far from here. If we swing by my place, I can get my bike and we can maybe ride together like we talked about?"
"Mm. That would be nice." Shiroko agreed. "Lead the way." So the more mature looking Shiroko led her younger counterpart to her residence. The younger Shiroko opted to walk her bike there, rather than ride the way there. "Where did you get a new bike anyway?"
"Found it in the garbage. I was able to get some parts to fix it up though, and it works just fine now." The other Shiroko answered.
"I see." Shiroko simply answered. 'I hope tommorrow goes smoothly... for her sake.' Shiroko thought as the two silently walked together.
