Preamble

I enjoy reading FanFiction and other stories. I really like OP Characters it is just much more fun and opens the story up for so many shenanigans. Maybe because I'm a little bit, or a lot, twisted I like bad characters and even like it when they are MCs and win. So it was clear I would enjoy "evil OP Harry" FanFictions a ton. But basically in every case even if I liked them I had huge problems with them as well. Most of the time Harry wasn't just OP but basically God. At 11 he was more intelligent and powerful than anyone else. He had everything solved even issues an 11 year just wouldn't know about(there are some trying to explain it with reborn shit but most of the time it is just "he wrote a book once"). In addition to that his mates became almost as powerful as him which was always dumb to me. I get it that a powerful person if he tries will give good advise to his friends and will make them strong as well but a first year beating up fifth years because they are friend with someone OP just strikes me as dumb(maybe 1 could be argued but 10 or more just hits different). The other big problem with "evil/grey" stories about Harry is, he isn't bad he just isn't the good guy any more. He still has honour and principals, he is loyal to his friends, he will just do fucked shit towards his enemies.

This is my story, so I will try my best to avoid things I dislike. So, there won't be anyone getting massively OP besides Harry and Harry will be evil and I mean evil. If you think about a morally reprehensible act a human can do most likely I will Harry do that act to someone regardless of ally, enemy or random bystander. This will act as a Content Warning, in the following story there will be murder, torture, rape, sexual assault, sexual acts with minors and what ever else I feel like adding to make sure Harry will be seen as evil. If you don't like to read about this stuff or it gets you riled up to such an extend you get needlessly offended please don't waste your time reading this story.

Now to the story, it will start at the beginning of the summer after his fourth year at Hogwarts. Chapter 0 is the prolog, it contains all changes I made to the story up until this point. I recommend you reading Chapter 0 before starting the story some of the changes aren't really needed but some of them will be crucial. I didn't want to write two books before really starting my story so I only give the instances where the change happens I count on you to extrapolate the changes towards the canon story. Both of us would be bored as fuck to write and read books 3 and 4 with 90% of the original texts so I trust you to build a functioning world in your head until I start with the story. With the start of Chapter 1 the story is the story nothing not at least mentioned in some way in the text didn't happen or isn't noticed by Harry, who is the only perspective in the main story.

You may have realised it but this is my first story so I'm happy about any feedback given in good faith. If it is just "u suck" I'm happier if you kept it to yourself. English isn't my first language but I tried my best to reduce mistakes if you find any I hope you will just ignore them or give me the needed help with criticism to even further minimize them.

With this I hope you will enjoy the story

0. The Trouble is starting

As Dumbledore was walking through the hospital wing, away from the two children getting out of their beds. He thought about the ramifications of this night. Could freeing Black threaten his plan? Would those two be able to catch Wormtail? No, No... he couldn't prevent Black to be freed, Harry wouldn't understand. Catching Wormtail on the other hand could be possible if they concentrated on it. But he just trusted in his belief, that two 13 year old wouldn't achieve it. He opened the door to the corridor and walked through it looking for the children, who were just right behind him. As he couldn't see them, he turned around. He would count to ten until he would start to lock the door again. While he reached six in his head, he heard them arriving. They told him, how they rescued Black with Buckbeak and how he flew away. During their story, Dumbledore sighed a breath of relief that Wormtail escaped. Harry and Hermione assumed he was just happy, that they fulfilled their task in such a marvellous way. After locking them in he went straight to his office. Lucky that no serious problem came out of this, he took a sherbet lemon out of a bowl and sucked it with relish...

After Harry had read the letter from Sirius to his friends it seemed to them like he started to read it again from the top because he was just too happy to get a letter from his godfather. But in reality, he read the part that was meant only for him.

Something is weird. With you being part of a noble family your magical guardian should have introduced you as 'Heir Apparent for the Most Noble and Ancient House of Potter' at the age of twelve. But for some reason, Dumbledore, who took your magical guardianship as I was imprisoned, forgot or just ignored that tradition. You don't need to get everything you should when you should but there are some benefits for you being an heir apparent. Will meet Moony soon to talk through what we can do. Hold your feet still until I tell you otherwise. Don't let anyone know what I told you here. There must be a reason why it was done this way and we can't give anyone involved a heads-up that we suspect something. I'm not telling you to distrust Dumbledore and his teachers just that he most likely does things for specific reason.
He must have changed his expression drastically, while he was reading the rest of the letter because immediately after he finished Hermione asked. "What's going on Harry? Is there more? You're looking so sad." "No, just realising I won't see him again for a long time." He lied. Standing up and starting to hug him she replied. "Oh Harry, we know, but Dumbledore will clear his name quick, and then you will be able to live together." He wanted to believe her, but something deep inside made him disbelieve that statement...

Harry was somewhat happy to be with the Dursleys this time. They left him alone after he told them who his godfather was and that was exactly what he needed right now. Sirius wrote him every other day and with what he told him, he appreciated the time alone to think. Apparently, he should have a title and a counsellor to teach and represent him in official ways and magical politics. He really didn't understand it fully, but there was some kind of parliament called Wizengamot and he should have had a seat in it. This wasn't really an issue for him. He didn't know if he wanted to be part of it and be inserted more into the political struggles and schemes of the magical world. On the other hand, he could have had access to all Potter properties and vaults with all the heirlooms and what was the most important for Harry all the family photos and portraits. So he begrudged Dumbledore's decision to not introduce him as the heir apparent. He couldn't understand, why he would deny him seeing his family heirlooms and getting to know the history of his ancestors. If there were Houses or something similar, why couldn't he live there? Why did he have to come back to the Dursleys? Why was he still with the Dursleys? During their correspondence, Harry told Sirius more about how his life was under the Dursleys. Straight away plans were made to get him out of there as soon as possible, so he didn't have to go there each summer. But even this was taken away from him by the headmaster because of unknown reasons. He should stay there until his birthday. For Harry Dumbledore was still the most intelligent person in the world, so there must be a rationale.
But now he had to get rid of those thoughts. He shook himself while sitting to relax his muscles a bit. He had to continue the training, which his godfather said was most important for his future. Something called Occlumency. As far as Harry understood it, it was magic to defend his mind. In the first letter after arriving at his relatives, Sirius told him, how he should start, and whenever progress was made, new instructions came with the next letter. He didn't come that far, teaching through letters wasn't the best. Right now he still tried to clear his mind of thoughts and feelings. He got some meditation techniques, which he tested. Up until this day, none really worked, but he couldn't give up. Sirius told him, that protecting his mind was crucial if he wanted his secrets to stay that way and from now on he would have some, that shouldn't be known by anyone that shouldn't. He laid the letter between his legs, let his arms rest, and concentrated on his breathing.…

Harry now sitting in the Hogwarts Express thought about, what had happened this summer, while Ron and Hermione fought about some silly stuff on the other side of the compartment. He had to wait until his birthday to leave the Dursleys. Sirius and Lupin couldn't do anything alone, which wasn't surprising if he was honest to himself with one being a felon on the run and the other being a werewolf. So with Dumbledore being adamant, that he had to stay, there was no way around it. Shortly after arriving at the Burrow, some hope came to Harry, because in a letter they told him, that there was a loophole, that they could eventually use to give him his title and with that replace the headmaster as his magical guardian. They didn't want to tell him though. They didn't want to risk someone finding out and trying to close it. But even now a whole month and that crazy Quidditch World Cup later, still nothing new had come up on how to gain a new guardian. Even if Harry was honest with himself, right now he was the happiest he had ever been. He had at least something resembling a parent caring about him if only through letters, but that was more than he could have wished for even one year ago. With that thought, he turned to his friends and joined their speculations on what Malfoy could have meant something would be happening this year in Hogwarts...

Harry collected himself in front of the door. This time it had to work, he couldn't endure another rejection like the one he had gotten from Cho. He had seen this girl look at him multiple times, after the first task and even smiled and winked towards him if their eyes had met. After the disaster the last time, he had written to Sirius about asking Cho to the ball. Maybe he read too much into the answer, but for him, it came across, as if his godfather relished helping him finding a date. One or two of the ways he had suggested sounded more like stupid things he had done to impress girls rather than serious proposals for Harry to get a date. Under no circumstance would he fly his Firebolt through a window of the girl's room to somehow talk himself into a date with her. He would follow the main suggestion 'Be yourself, you are rich and famous there won't be a second girl so dumb to reject you. Just don't choose the prettiest girl there is. Going through the line he wanted to say the last time he knocked three times on the door. The moment the last knock was finished he asked himself, what the fuck he was doing here. How could he be this stupid to bring himself into this situation again? Could he just run away now? He looked to his right to see if someone looked at him, but the door opened already. As he turned towards her some confidence came back as she smiled at him in a gorgeous and warm way. Before he could say anything she greeted him in French. "Bonjour, beau garcon!" Looking a little bit up into her face Harry wondered again if there was at least a little bit of Veela in her. Her face was poreless and her light blonde hair fell elegantly over her right shoulder and covered her upper body on that side down to her waist. For him she was the second prettiest girl in Hogwarts right now, so he listened to the advice Padfoot gave him. "Hey, I'm... I'm Har-" "'arry Potter, I know", she interrupted him smiling slyly. "Is there really someone you 'ave to introduce yourself to?" Stunned he thought about it. "No, in the magical world basically everybody knows me." "So, was it just to remind me who you are, before you ask me?" Quizzically he looked at her twirling her hair with her finger. He must have really looked really shocked because her body as a whole stiffened at that look "You do want to ask me something, don't you?" She asked a little less nicely. After composing himself by thinking of the task he wanted to accomplish here, he answered. "Yes... yes, I wanted to ask you if you want to go to the Yule Ball with me?" Something was different this time. He felt it as soon as he finished the question. Something made it easier to ask and Harry didn't feel weird at all. He asked the question directly and without stuttering. Her answer snatched him out of his thoughts. "Oui, but you have to pass a test first!" Harry's heart dropped. She was just so nice to him, so she could humiliate him now with some weird test. But before he could answer anything, she leaned down a bit and kissed him. Numb at first Harry tried his best not to mess it up. Her lips were soft, warm, and a little bit fruity. As she ended it, he followed her a bit to prolong the kiss even if just for a moment. After she opened her eyes, her smile came back. "That will do. I will come to you to discuss what to wear and 'ow we will handle everything else." As she was closing her door, Harry came back fully and somewhat shouted at her. "I'm sorry but I never asked for your name." After a short giggle, she responded. "Marielle", and closed the door.…

It was the day before the second task and they were all sitting in the library. Krum and Harry trying to look like they were studying hard for the upcoming task, Hermione doing her homework behind something that resembled a fortress out of books, Marielle and Yvette after struggling to read the books in English at first had their own books with them now, whenever they decided to join, and Ron just beaming from contentment that he was sitting at a table with his two best friends, his Quidditch idol and a beautiful girl, with whom he had an unforgettable night during the ball. After he heard Harry's story of how he asked for his date, he mustered all his Gryffindor courage and conceded, that he needed help and asked if Harry could provide that help. Without a second thought, he agreed and the next time he saw Marielle inquired if she had a friend, who still had no date and could think of going with Ron. She made it clear, that she wouldn't ask anyone for Ron, but could smooth his way to get her if he wanted. Some persuasion was still needed for him to make the first move, but luckily he got the words out and she accepted. That ensured a very confident Ron for the days up to the ball. So Harry couldn't tell him the truth about why he had bought a new gown for him. Officially it was because he was his friend and deserved something better if he had such a good-looking partner. In reality, Marielle threw a massive tantrum, that she wouldn't be seen near anyone wearing such an ugly 'something'. She persuaded Harry to buy Ron something new and apparently as an apology for just suggesting that possibility he was told to get her a new necklace. With everyone happy, the ball could start and it was marvellous. Ron really didn't seem to care at all, that Hermione came with Viktor Krum. After a first shock that she went with the biggest Quidditch star alive and a subsequent awkward greeting, he busied himself mostly with his date. Harry himself had a wonderful night. He danced a lot with Marielle and somehow most of the time they ended up dancing in the vicinity of Fleur Delacour, who looked displeased about it. If they weren't dancing, they talked a lot. Well actually Marielle talked a lot and Harry mostly listened, but he didn't care. He learned, that she wanted to work for the French parliament or ministry after finishing her school in one and a half years. That was one of the reasons she was so eager to come to Hogwarts. Being here and making connections could give her an edge if she applied for a lower-level job at the foreign affairs offices. While she was saying this, she snuggled up real close to Harry so he never really thought about it too much. At the end of the event, Ron was nowhere to be found. Harry escorted Marielle back to Beuxbaton carriage. "This evening was more fun than I anticipated." She had said before kissing him. It wasn't the good night kiss Harry expected. It was a real, passionate kiss. "We will have so much more fun together." With that, she had closed the door in front of him.

Harry looked up from the book, he was holding in his hands. If anyone had asked him, what it was about he couldn't have answered at all. He had finished his plan for tomorrow's task, but Marielle and Hermione still forced him to look things up. So he played along, but most of the time he thought about something different. During his meditations, he had found a box in his mind. This box seemed to be made out of pure magical light. He didn't know how, but he felt pure magic power pulsating from it. But he couldn't see anything on it and it always kept him at a distance so he couldn't touch it. He had written his godfather about it, but neither he nor Lupin knew what it was. Harry was conflicted, on one side something in him told him to leave it alone, but he felt himself getting more and more powerful the longer he stood there with that box. To his regret, the newly found power left him as soon as he let the box go. He looked to his Veela companion across the table, could he ask her if she knew something? No, why would she know something that even Sirius and Lupin had no idea of? He decided to keep it a secret. His view moved to the right of him where Krum was sitting. Viktor was kind of staring into a book without seeing it. After watching closer Harry realized, he was holding the back of the book like a broom, and the little movements his head and body made reminded him of the movements someone made while chasing the snitch. Harry chuckled silently. He must remember this when Hermione is going to force him and Ron to sit for hours over the books to make them study for tests or homework..…

Sirius had just finished telling them about Crouch. It became silent in the cave. "But Lupin and I have more news. One good and one worrying, the good one is, we found a way to give you all of your inheritance Harry." While the one in question was beaming his two friends looked at them puzzled. But Sirius continued without paying any attention to them. "We have to smuggle you into Diagon Alley this summer without Dumbledore noticing anything." Now Ron and Hermione looked worried. "Why shouldn't Dumbledore know about it?" Hermione asked. "For some reason, he is my magical guardian and isn't doing all the things he should have done for me. We don't know why." Harry replied dryly. When neither Hermione nor Ron tried to get more concrete answers Sirius went on. "If this goes as planned, we will be able to secure your estate, supplant Dumbledore as your magical guardian, and with that get you out from your relatives for good." The three others gasped at the last statement and Hermione kind of jumped up to hug Harry. The adult looked happy at his godson and as the emotions came back down, he proceeded with a little concern in his look. "Now to the worrying news, after you told us that you were included to compete in this tournament we looked some more into the rules. Up until now, we couldn't find a single rule that would have prevented your magical guardian from taking you out of it if they wanted to do so. So either he doesn't know he has that power or he doesn't want to use it. I don't know which one would be worse." The cave became quiet. Ron eventually broke the silence. "But... but Dumbledore is still on our site, isn't he?" "For sure, we assume, he is just planning something and he lets everyone else in the dark about it. Most likely he just thinks, he has a plan for everything, and for the success of it he will sacrifice almost everything." With everyone thinking about what that plan could be and how far their headmaster would go to achieve it silence fell over the cave once again...

Harry fell into his bed. The task, what happened in the cemetery, and the information gained by Crouch Jr. through their interrogation drained him of all the energy he had. He closed his eyes, but his head spun on and on with what he had seen and all the implications coming with it. Additionally, Marielle's statement from before the task came over him fully, that they couldn't continue whatever they had from now on. Everything went downhill with them after the second task. At first, Harry thought, she was jealous of Ron because he was the person Harry needed to rescue as part of the task. But it became apparent that it had something to do with Fleur's little sister Gabrielle. Harry didn't understand that. She was 3 years younger than him, how could she be a problem for their relationship? Somehow he had banned those thoughts to the back of his mind, but in his current state, everything came pouring in. With everything, thoughts from how could she do that to him to what the resurrection of Voldemort meant to the whole wizarding world, swirling in his head, he started his meditation exercises. He needed to sleep and the only way that could happen was if his mind was empty. For a while, he tried to concentrate on his breathing and tightened some muscles in a special order. Little by little his thoughts settled and went back to the corner of his mind, where they belonged. Shortly after, his mind was clear. The box of light appeared again, but this time something was different. It was way closer to him than ever before. He could feel the magical power pulsating through him and giving him more and more power. As Harry was wondering, how he could sustain this power and if it could help him defeat Lord Voldemort and save everyone from a third war, something strange happened. The box dissolved into something akin to light dust, which then formed some kind of aura around him. In the blink of an eye, Harry could see compressed black fog where the box used to be. But it felt like the box was vanishing and wrapped everything in some kind of misty darkness. The boy could feel how the aura of light continued to power him up and also some new different kind of energy. He guessed it came from the mist. Maybe this was how he could seal the new power in him. While stretching his right hand out to reach whatever it was, he asked knowing what darkness normally meant. "Are you evil?" From somewhere a voice answered. "There is no good or evil there is only power and those too weak to seek it." Didn't he hear that somewhere before? But as his hands reached through the aura and was in the darkness that thought was pushed aside in favour of some more relevant questions. Couldn't have Dumbledore prevented all of this if he had used his power? Couldn't he have prevented the resurrection, if he had more power to win against Pettigrew? Couldn't he have at least prevented Cedrics' death? With the answer to those questions in mind, he accepted what the voice told him. The aura slowly went inside him powering him up more and more. As the last bit of light vanished in him, he felt a stinging pain right behind his scar. It seemed like the dark fog went into him through his scar. He couldn't bear it for long and lost his conscience...
