"You mean to tell me there's still no sign of activity from your end either," Nathan asked as he listened to his communicator, currently searching through a box he had brought into his dining room. Granted, the area looked more like a mix of futuristic and ancient thanks to some of the items he had gotten over the centuries from Zika and building off pieces that he originally had from Zandar, but to him it felt more like home than anything else. "Not even a hint of something popping through the atmosphere?"

"Not even little blips that would come from Stingwingers," Zika responded through the comm, Nathan walking to a bigger box before he opened it, looking through it's contents as he continued to listen. "There were signs of meteors coming into the atmosphere that disintegrated during the descent, but that was about it."

"That's extremely concerning, knowing how Furio's temper would usually have him coming down again by now," Nathan responded as he moved a large jacket out of the box before he saw what he was looking for, reaching in. "Found it."

"There's also a rumor that's been going through the galaxy recently that Treacheron is closing in again," Zika spoke as Nathan pulled out a small box with a lock on it, soon walking to the table in the room and setting it down beside a leather book, his diary he wrote in years back. Beside it was a set of papers with varying dates, something he had been working on the last few days while he was looking for the box in front of him. "There's also no contact coming in from the Guardian either, so we can't confirm or deny on the matter."

"Maybe, but the fact that Scorpius hasn't returned yet means he's still safe at least," Nathan responded as he looked at the items. "Keep an eye out on the planetary readings, see if there's any anomalies at all. Furio isn't one to just sit back for long periods without planning something, and the way he is now only makes that fact more apparent."

"And to top it off you have an extra six rangers to help out with the situation now," Zika responded, making Nathan sigh as he pulled out a chair, sitting down. "I'm honestly surprised you were so calm in talking with them, though."

"I had to be, it turned out they were the friends Eric made," Nathan responded as he rested his head on his hand, leaning into the table. "I know from Ivan that they didn't mean for the Earth to be destroyed, and the reactions of the rangers basically confirmed it. Despite that, and all the time I've had to sit on it, I still feel so much rage. Even with Keeper's statement, I still feel this anger…"

"And yet you're still helping them to understand the situation instead of lashing out," Zika spoke through the communicator, making Nathan shudder as he closed his eyes. "You're even giving them your diary so they can go and see Ivan, as well as the only other key to Zandar's vault that you have."

"That's because I've seen what being driven by anger can do to someone," Nathan responded, his eyes still closed as he went through his memory. "I told you about what your dad was like in the original timeline, but you didn't see how bad it had been. He was willing to sacrifice innocents for his vengeance, even if the monsters tried to use them as shields. He may have redeemed himself in the end, but what he did is a clear message as to why I have to keep from ever ending up like that…"

"Something you also didn't think of until Ivan had befriended you," Zika responded, making Nathan unconsciously chuckle as he opened his eyes again, looking down to his morpher. "Speaking of, I got to read that legend people were talking about for your fight with him while I was over there last. It's strange how they don't mention that you two were friends before the fight and claim that it became the case afterwards."

"It was a way to make the story a better tale for teaching during the time," Nathan responded, leaning back in his chair as he was remembering it. "After the Battle of Steel and Fang, relations with the neighboring kingdoms of Zandar were rocky at best. Using the fight between me and Ivan in that fashion allowed the kids who heard the tale think that even their bitterest enemies could become their closest friends quickly…"

"Well from the current state of that side of the planet, I would say that worked," Zika responded, leaving the communicator silent again as Nathan soon reached for the ben beside the set of papers. "Oh, right, there was some activity recently over at the Earth's moon back yesterday, so there could be a chance there's a plan in the works."

"Then that's all the more reason to worry more," Nathan responded with a sigh, opening the small box and pulling the item out from it, putting it in his pocket. As he did, he soon looked over to a portrait on the wall beside him, the picture depicting a familiar setting to him, with him and Ivan kneeling before King Collin with two others. "Unlike the past, Furio knows the strength humans have if they have the hope to push past it. If that last fight proved anything, it's that he's not pulling his punches."

"Regardless, the first step is to make sure Zandar's key fragment is still safe," Nathan continued, picking up the papers as he walked to the exit of the room. "Can I count on you to watch the area here while I'm in Zandar, Zika?"

"As well as you should trust the rangers," Zika responded, making Nathan sigh as he shut the door, soon turning to see the cavern system again as he walked through it.

"I'll be seeing the prince who's among their rank soon, I can start from there since there's already connections," Nathan responded with a sigh before he turned off the communicator, shaking his head as he walked through the cavern. After a few steps, however, he soon stopped, placing his free hand on his face as he sighed. "…At least for the Magna Defender the people responsible for Zika's death were inherently evil, these rangers are far too kind hearted for me to hate them this much…"

He then sighed as he continued to walk through the area, his mind going through the events as he subconsciously looked at the communicator on his wrist as he remembered his request to the Magna Defender. 'Shouldn't be long till my student arrives at least, so that'll add some extra hands,' Nathan thought to himself as he stretched, soon entering a chamber that looked more electronic than the rest of the system, a teleporter sitting at the center that he had Zika bring in a few centuries back. He then chuckled to himself as he typed over the data he wanted, hearing the teleporter thrum to life as he worked. 'Since I'm not intending on seeing Philip immediately, I think I'll go and see how that old restaurant in Zandar's capital is doing…'

-Kendall, Amber Beach Dinosaur Zoo -

"The Lost Galactabeasts are alive in your dimension?" came a voice from the screen as Kendall was sitting at her computer, a woman with blonde hair and glasses looking at her surprised. "When you said you wanted to talk to us a few days ago, I didn't expect to hear anything about the Galactabeasts."

"It's part of why we're looking over everything right now since they're apparently connected to the current timeline," Kendall responded as she looked to the documents she had sent to the woman that were sitting in a file beside her screen. "Randalph, the one who connected to the Rhino Galactabeast, apparently also saved the planet from Furio eight hundred years ago, though Nathan didn't go over specifics on it when he left. Do you know anything that Furio could do that could be that dangerous, given he might do it again?"

"Not too much outside of what I've already sent, and even then I think Leo would be a better choice for the question since he defeated him," the woman responded as she looked outside of the camera, looking over something else before she nodded. "Then again, during our first encounter in Miranoi, Furio had petrified the entire planet. He may have used that back then, though I don't know how they could prevent that kind of ability."

"Then I'm glad he hasn't used that while we're all here," Kendall responded as she looked over the document. "Either way, having you guys to talk to on these monsters helps a lot since we haven't faced them, Kendrix."

"I'm just sorry I can't help out more on it," the woman responded as she looked back to Kendall. "We're still busy at the moment with some other matters over here, but I'm sure there's more that can help. I'll look more into our records and see what I can find."

"Thank you," Kendall responded as she looked back to the documents. "I'll send you a message if we need anything else."

"Got it, stay safe Kendall," Kendrix responded before the screen went blank. Kendall then looked at the document tab of the screen before she pulled up another tab, this one with all the current notes she had for trying to figure out where the key fragments could be.

"Though it'd be better if I could find something out on the other key fragments outside of the one Nathan talked about in Zandar," Kendall spoke to herself, looking over the information again. She had gone through what she was told

"I haven't seen you this stressed over finding something since the Energems," came a voice, making Kendall turn to see Chase walking in with his apron. "Eric took over the grill for a bit, so I came down to see how things are going."

"Poorly," Kendall responded as she looked back to the screen, scrolling through the current information. "There's little to no showing of the families for Randalph and Marianna after sixty years ago, as Nathan had said. There's also the issue that there's not many open articles on any writing similar to the one on the gate, so now I'm waiting to get some professional writings on them."

"Sounds harsh," Chase responded as he looked at it, thinking. "What about the story part of it, given that Nathan confirmed they were also the Azure and Scarlet Knights. There could be something for that as well."

"I looked, but there's little writing for that as well outside of a paper published a few years back," Kendall responded as she pulled up a new document, this one with a more professional look as she leaned back in her chair. "It goes on the validity of the stories and how various myths could tie into the conflicts that occurred in Zandar for the period. It's actually amazing with how detailed it is, even pulling from old writings that can label locations for each period."

"Then we have something we could go off of," Chase responded before Kendall shook her head.

"The only thing that it talks about is the before points for the knights, so if we wanted to know any of the deeper details of the research then we'd have to talk to the writer of this paper in particular," Kendall responded, leaning forward. "The issue on that, however, is who wrote it."

"Why is that an issue," Chase responded before he looked at the top of the page, trying to find the author's name. As soon as he found where it should've been, however, he saw a black bar where the name should've been. "It's blocked out?"

"Reading up on it I found that the person who wrote it had requested to remain anonymous when it was published," Kendall responded as she looked at the paper. "However, I printed out a copy to look at later when I get the chance, especially since it seems to be the best option to look into it."

"Why not ask Eric for help on looking over the papers, then?" Chase asked, making Kendall look at him. "He's been looking over that writing he found every chance he gets during his breaks, and from what he's said he's already pieced together the chance that Randalph and Marianne were the Azure and Scarlet knights. From what he told me yesterday, he was almost done with translating the writing on the wall."

"He already went that far on his own," Kendall asked as she looked at him confused before shaking her head, looking back to the document. "Maybe we should ask for his help on it, but the problem is how to ask the question. We're not exactly a museum anymore, so we can't really use that as an excuse for it."

"Why not just ask him how it's going for it," Chase suggested, making Kendall look at him confused. "It's the first time we've all seen him excited about something this much outside of his cooking, and he already enjoys talking about it with Riley and Tyler when they ask, so you can probably learn a lot about it from him talking on it."

"…I'll keep that in mind," Kendall finally said, looking back to the documents as she did so. "Just not today, we have enough to work on both here and at the zoo as it is."

-Eric, Dino café-

"Three Bronto Burgers, two large fries and a chocolate shake up on the bar," Eric shouted as he placed a platter with the said items down at the front of the kitchen window, one of the café workers moving over and picking it up as he turned back to the grill to look over whatever orders remained… or at least the empty ticket holder which they were supposed to be on. "Huh, I was working harder than I thought I was. I could've sworn there were two more orders to work on…"

Eric then sighed as he walked to the chair near the grill, sitting down as he felt the strain settle in his arms along with the soreness seeming to go through the rest of his body. The work wasn't as hard as usual, but if it wasn't for his want to train again after how that situation went back in the cave then he wouldn't be feeling as bad. 'I can't let myself be unable to do more than run and hide again,' Eric thought to himself, closing his eyes as he remembered the fight he had been in at the cavern. His first action was instant when fighting the monsters, having first smashed one of his batons into it's head before running out as fast as he could with the hopes of finding Ms. Morgan again. What he didn't count on, however, was the other ten that had been along the path which forced him to fight his way out despite his want to run deeper back into the caves. 'I trained so much to protect people when I was younger, but all I could do was act as a distraction…'

"Already done with the orders," came a voice, making Eric look to his left to find Tyler entering as he looked at the grill. "Chase said he left you with a lot of orders, so I came over to see if you needed help."

"I thought you and Shelby were supposed to be taking care of the dinosaurs today," Eric spoke as he looked at Tyler confused before sighing, looking back to the grill. "Either way, it's good that you came by to help but it looks like I finished earlier than expected. Now it's just the wait till the next batch."

Eric then grunted as he picked himself up, making Tyler look at him concerned. "You aren't still hurt, right," Tyler asked, making Eric chuckle as he lifted his hand which he had originally had the sprain in and shook it, feeling a now nearly non-existent pain there as he looked to Tyler.

"Just sore, exercised a bit harder than usual during the last few days," Eric responded as he lowered his hand. "That situation at the cave had me worried since I couldn't do more, so I've been picking back up on my training again."

Tyler just looked at him confused, remembering their conversation during the evening after Eric had been stuck alone in the cave, acting as bait and keeping the Stingwingers away from Kendall. "You shouldn't worry over that too much," Tyler spoke as Eric looked back up at him. "You had to run from a lot of stuff, and you even looked over the parts of the gate that Kendall wanted you to."

"That may be true, but I still don't like the fact that all I could do was run and be a distraction, especially in front of Ms. Morgan," Eric responded with a chuckle, shaking his head before he picked himself up, walking over to a bag he brought in before he pulled out his notebook, opening it as he looked over it again. "On the plus side, it let me find some writing in Zandarian which has kept me occupied for the last week…"

"Right, that text you were translating," Tyler responded as Eric pulled out his phone and looked it over, nodding. Tyler also noted Eric's statement about Ms. Morgan, making him suppress a laugh before he looked at the book. "Did you get any further in translating it?"

"I actually finished translating it yesterday, ironically enough," Eric responded as he looked at his notebook and back to his phone, making Tyler surprised as Eric kept looking it over. "The last areas of it were tricky, using a mix of thirteenth to ninteenth century Zandarian writing, meaning that the writing itself was continued on after the original."

"Really? Kendall hasn't even finished working on it yet, she was stuck near the end," Tyler spoke, making Eric look up at him confused.

"Ms. Morgan's looking it over too," Eric asked, making Tyler nod before he smiled. "Well tell her to come over to me if she wants any help with it, it'll be easier to put our heads together than just working separately, especially since this area remains my expertise."

"I'll make sure she knows," Tyler responded before he looked over the notebook, seeing different dates and another paragraph of dialogue on it. "So anyway, does it help with finding the location?"

"Maybe, and it keeps the apparent tradition of rhyming in its own shoddy form," Eric responded as he looked over the paper. "I won't go over the major things, but the short summary is that the writing was apparently added to starting a few centuries after the first, aligning with the first colonists into the New World. The interesting thing, however is that the last writing at the end instead sounds like a declaration with how it's written: 'The azure flame is sealed under stone, until one returns bearing its tone. As axe and key are placed with crown, the azure blade remains with its gown. For this our wings shall forever be sealed, until the bow is again revealed.' Honestly, it brings more questions than answers since that's the last spot."

"Why's that," Tyler asked as he looked at Eric confused. Eric just shook his head in response as he looked over to Tyler.

"The location that it means is more than likely an area that rests north of a Zandarian city called Orathan, a small village which rests in a valley," Eric responded as he looked to the notebook again. "It lies in a rocky region that sits between the former territories of Sir Randalph and Lady Marianne, and is such a small village that it's normally not on any maps unless you really search for it."

"Then why's that bringing more questions," Tyler asked before Eric looked at him serious.

"That location was supposedly destroyed two centuries ago," Eric responded, his voice almost grim as he looked at the notebook, continuing to talk. "I'm still looking for the name of it, but from maps over the last two centuries it's as if it never existed. If this message leads to there, then I'm wondering what big secret has it basically erased from the map…"

"Eric, another set of orders just popped up," came the voice of a waiter past the bar, making Eric close his book with a sigh as he set it down on the chair he was sitting on, looking over to Tyler.

"There goes my hopes of getting some work on it done," Eric spoke as he started walking to the bar, grabbing the newly placed order papers before he read them over, soon grimacing before looking over to Tyler. "However, I do want to ask if you'd like to help me make around ten burgers with fries…"

-Scorpion Stinger-

"Furio, Horn's ready to be dropped in," Starcog's voice echoed through the throne room, Furio standing in front of the viewing screen as he looked at the targeted location, the dinosaur zoo. "Should I send him in now?"

"In a moment, we want the area crowded when we send Horn in with the Stingwingers," Furio responded as he looked over the screen before looking to Starcog. "Are you sure you'll go undetected?"

"The device is still in a prototype phase, but the results should be successfulif we have Horn and the Stingwingers move so closely to the city both the Magna Defender and the Rangers are in," Starcog responded as he looked over a small device on his chest, this one in the shape of a circle with symbol of a diamond with a sunrise on it. "I do apologize for using Treacheron's symbol though, I still bear my loyalties."

"So long as the loyalties will allow us to free Scorpius, it doesn't matter to me who you serve," Furio spoke as he looked back to the screen, his thoughts on the current plan. "Horn's better known for his subtle thieving over open fighting, so with luck he might steal the scanner as well…"

As Furio spoke, the image changed to where it now showed the inside of the zoo and moving through it before resting on the café, where Eric was now cooking on the grill with Tyler. As Furio looked at him, however, he felt some familiar sense of anger. "That man, wasn't he in the cavern system as well?"

"He was, though I only saw him on the screen after I returned to the ship," Starcog spoke before he looked at Eric on the screen. "I didn't see him until he was outside the cavern, though, and by that point he had been injured while still fighting the Stingwingers."

"And yet he's back to work despite whatever injuries he should have," Furio muttered as he looked at the man, most importantly the auburn red hair he had. Something about it gave him a sense of déjà vu, and it unknowingly was making him clench his fist as he turned back to Starcog. "…The moment that café is filled with people, send Horn in. Do not act too soon or late."

"Of course Furio," Starcog responded as he went back to the screen, Furio looking back to the screen as if on a whim, seeing Eric talking to Tyler with a smile as he forced himself to unclench his fist.

'Something about him feels familiar,' Furio thought as he turned back to his throne, walking forward as the screen continued to play behind him.

-Dino Cafe-

"I'm honestly amazed with you guys," Eric spoke as he kept cooking, Tyler working on prepping the buns as he was flipping burgers. "You all work in the café in one hand, go and work with the dinosaurs the next, and then still have time to help with setting up the museum stuff. That's far more than I do here…"

"You're giving yourself too little credit, I mean you already pieced together so much from that text on the wall in the span of a week," Tyler responded, Eric casually placing the patties onto each of the buns as the other finished making the burgers. "I don't even think Kendall would've been able to catch that writing unless you found it, much less started translating it."

"Yeah, but that's an honest hobby of mine," Eric responded as he finished putting the patties onto the burgers, soon walking over to the fries to see how they were cooking. "If I could work on and teach Zandarian mythology, I'd be more than content with my life as it is, but people don't look on it as a notable point of history to study, despite all the stuff that connects to it. Imagine my surprise when I'm asked by Ms. Morgan to look at something that could relate to one of the biggest myths of the time period in the Ebony Knight."

"That actually reminds me, why do you only call her Ms. Morgan," Tyler asked, making Eric look at him confused. "You've known us for a while now, and I think even Kendall's been talking with you more casually. Why don't you start calling her by her first name?"

"Ah, I guess that is a bit of a question," Eric responded, caught off-guard as he felt his face start to heat up as he was processing the response, lifting his hand and rubbing his head sheepishly as he looked to the side. "Well… I can't really muster up the courage for it."

"Really? But you call me, Chase and even Shelby by our first names," Tyler responded before noticing Eric's face reddening lightly, making him start to click the pieces together. "Do you-"

"I've never been good with certain emotions," Eric interrupted as he sighed, lowering his hand as he looked back to Tyler. "If you could point me to a group of friends or people that need help, then I'll be the first to help or close to it. You could even point me to cooking for a crowd like this and I won't even bat an eye outside of asking for some help occasionally. When it comes to matters of liking someone, however, I can never move on it."

"Oh," Tyler responded, now processing what Eric had said as the man pulled out the fries, shaking them a bit as he looked over if they were done. He had already guessed that he liked Kendall, especially given how Eric usually acted, but he didn't realize it was to that extent.

"Either way, knowing my luck it's probably not that subtle either given my personality," Eric responded as he put the fries in a large bowl, soon pulling out the next batch and shaking them as well. "There are only two secrets I've ever managed to keep extremely well in my life, and my emotions for others have never been one of them."

Tyler just watched Eric work for a moment as he was processing the information before his communicator went off, making him look down at it before turning to Eric. "I'll be right back," Tyler spoke as the communicator went off, making Eric nod as he waved his hand.

"We finished the major stuff for the orders at the moment, so I should be able to work with the rest of it," Eric responded with almost a sigh of relief that he didn't have to talk on the matter of his feelings for Kendall anymore as Tyler walked out of the bar and into the locker room, soon seeing Chase running in.

"We have activity from Furio's guys here," Chase spoke, soon looking out at the café as Eric finished the orders, setting them on the bar as more people seemed to be running in, or rather away, from the entrance. "They just teleported right at the entrance of the zoo. Kendall's already contacting the others."

"Is it Furio again," Tyler asked as Chase looked back at him, only getting a shake from Chase's head as he looked back.

"Some new monster, but he has a group of Stingwingers with him," Chase responded before walking over to Eric, who was now looking at the increasing number of people running into the zoo. "Kendall's trying to message Nathan at the moment, but he doesn't seem to be picking up yet."

"Either way, our first issue should be getting people to safety," Tyler responded as he turned over to the café again. As he did, however, he watched as people started looking through the entrance and started backing away from it, Eric stopping his work as well as he set down the last of the meals on the bar, the area watching as a group of Stingwingers entering the line of sight of the area. As Eric looked on, he heard a whisper behind him that made him duck and turn to see Tyler peeking out from the locker room. "Eric, come on."

Eric just looked at them and then back at the café before he immediately walked to the door which connected the two, soon opening it as he looked at the customers. "This way, quickly," Eric spoke loudly, making the customers that were left in the café look over confused before rushing past him as he looked to Tyler and Chase. "Lead them to the back ways out of here, last thing we need is everyone here being used as hostages."

As he said that, and before Tyler and Chase could do anything, a group of people soon cut between their line of sight and on him. "…Eric's right," Tyler spoke before he waved the group over to follow him, soon looking over to Chase. "I'll take them out of here, you go help out Kendall and the others."

"Sure," Chase responded as he looked back to the area that Eric was holding the door at, only to find him gone as the door closed.
