After a long discussion, it was decided that their new relationship status would remain between them for the time being.

It was a big step for Ken, not only entering a romantic relationship with his longtime best friend, but entering a relationship at all. He didn't care to traverse it with others in his ear.

Davis agreed graciously. His kind, supportive nature was just one of the many reasons Ken had fallen in love with him in the first place.

He secretly wanted to be selfish with it, keep Davis' affections all to himself for a while; enjoy it, bask in it, and let it become wholly comfortable.

It hadn't been since the very start of their friendship in middle school that Ken was shy in Davis' presence. But this transition had him constantly blushing and nervous. He needed an indeterminate span of time to become acclimated to it all.

They had differing class schedules and so they didn't see each other for most of the day. But whenever free moments came along, there were stolen kisses in empty stairwells and secret embraces behind the deserted soccer field.

Early Friday evening, Ken arrived back at the apartment after class. Davis was sitting, foot propped on the couch with a notebook against his leg, a textbook splayed open on the cushion beside him. He looked up as Ken came through the door.

"Hey!" Davis greeted him cheerfully.

"Hi," Ken said, shyness immediately setting upon him. He slipped his shoes off and deposited his backpack on the floor against the wall.

"Have a good day?" Davis asked, setting his notebook on the small end table.

"Yes, it was fine. How was your day?" Ken asked.

"Fine, too. Better now." He flashed a sweet grin. "C'mere." Davis presented outstretched arms from his seat on the couch.

When Ken stopped in front of him, Davis took hold of his hands and pulled him down to straddle his lap. Ken could feel the flush of heat in his cheeks. The shift in his pallor wasn't lost on Davis.

"You blush a lot more now," Davis beamed.

"I don't," Ken mumbled, embarressed.

"You do. It's cute," Davis smiled widely. He threaded their fingers together, holding their hands chest-height.

"It's a big change, I know." He looked at Ken's face seriously then. "You're not having second thoughts, are you?"

"No!" Ken declared a bit louder than he meant to. "I'm not. I'm happy." To prove it, he smiled genuinely, a beautiful accompaniment to his red cheeks. He leaned his head down while Davis tilted his up and kissed him softly on the mouth.

As their kissing became more heated, they untangled their hands, Ken's cupping Davis' cheeks while Davis held Ken at the waist.

Now that they were a couple and Davis didn't have to hide his attraction, he was incredibly quick to respond to the kisses, the touches, and the tiny, breathy moans Ken made. All it took was a single look at each other to know where they were heading.

Ken slid off of Davis' lap while he just about sprinted to his room and back.

He threw the fetched supplies onto the couch and stood in front of Ken. He pulled his shirt over his head in one quick swoop but took his time removing Ken's. He pressed long kisses against his neck as he slipped his hands under the hem of his shirt. Ken was so flustered he could barely get his fingers to operate the fastenings on Davis' pants.

Once bare, discarded clothing strewn all over, Davis reclaimed his seat on the couch and pulled Ken onto him as before. Ken watched him roll the sheath onto himself and moisten it before returning to kissing him.

Davis held himself steady as Ken slid onto him, eliciting pleased gasps and moans from them both.

Ken's pace was agonizingly, deliciously slow. Every squeeze around him, the prolonged friction left Davis in breathless ecstacy. He dug his fingers into the skin at Ken's hips, planting kisses over his bare chest. Ken's hands were clamped onto Davis' shoulders, his head craned back.

As Ken quickened his pace, plunging down and rising up, he could no longer contain his volume. The short, satisfied moans flew from his throat without inhibition and Davis was being driven wild by it. Hearing how much he was pleasing Ken, together with the sight of him riding him, was making lasting any longer near impossible.

His head thrown back, fingers tangled tightly into Davis' hair, Ken released, and with it echoed a hearty, strangled cry. Davis, forehead against Ken's chest, bit down on his bottom lip and reached his peak as quietly as he could so he could hear Ken.

"Do you think they'll be surprised?" Kari asked, a clear rectangular container filled with cookies in her hands.

"Of course they will!" Yolei said with a toothy smile. "Can I just have one more though?"

Kari snickered. "You've had so many already! Save some for them!" She gracefully dodged as Yolei outstretched her arms toward the container.

They had walked from their dorm room to Ken and Davis' apartment building to share the sweet spoils of Kari's wildly overestimated baking batch. Their last get-together was months ago and Kari thought they could use a pick-me-up as end of semester exams were fast approaching.

From the lobby they took the two flights of stairs, Yolei rounding the corner and reaching the door first. Kari was a handful of steps behind.

As she approached Yolei, Kari noticed her friend become quite still, not knocking, not speaking, simply standing and staring at the door. Once Kari was only a few steps away, Yolei snapped her head toward her, eyes wide, lips pursed in surprise.

As Kari lifted her fist in preparation to knock on the door, Yolei snatched her hand before she had the chance. She lifted her index finger to her lips.

It took very little effort to hear the noises that were coming from the other side of the door.

Kari immediately blushed, a hand covering her mouth. Yolei looked positively delighted to be so scandalized. Her eyes glinted with devilish glee and she brought her hands to her cheeks.

"Let's go!" Kari mouthed silently.

"Go, Ken, go!" Yolei mouthed, elated.

Torturously, they had to save any commentary until they were out of the building.

No sooner had they spilled through the lobby doors did Yolei commence her babbling, screaming rant.

"Oh my God, that was Ken! Ken and who?! Ken's seeing someone and he didn't tell us?! He's gonna' tell us, right?!" Her hands were clapped to the sides of her head as she spun in dizzying circles.

The pair began their trek back to their dorm, cookies still in hand.

Kari was still reeling from their accidental intrusion. "Calm down, Yolei. I'm sure he'll tell us when he's ready."

Walking through campus on Monday, Yolei bumped into Cody, who she thoroughly and rabidly interrogated for information on Ken's dating life. To Yolei's frustration, he knew nothing and became a tad bit more afraid of her that day.

She tried to get Kari to grill T.K. about it, but promises were not made.

On Tuesday, Yolei and Kari were finishing their lunch outside the dining hall when Yolei spotted Davis approaching. He didn't see them at first and made to keep walking, but Yolei loudly hailed him over to their table.

"Hi, Davis!" Kari greeted first, if only to momentarily stave off the incoming barage of questions.

"Hey, guys! What's up?" Davis asked cheerfully.

Yolei took his innocent question as the perfect cue. "That's what I was gonna' ask you," she asked rather accusingly. Davis looked confused.

"What do you know about Ken seeing someone?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Seeing someone? Where'd you hear that?" Davis asked, a hint of a snicker between his words.

"We went to your apartment last weekend and we heard... well..." she paused, eyes open wide, lips in a crooked purse hoping he would understand the context. Kari pressed a hand over her forehead in embaressment.

"You were spying on that?! Perv," he grinned wickedly.

"It wasn't on purpose!" she yelled, affronted.

Davis simply shrugged. "I don't know what to tell ya'."

Yolei quickly stood from her seat, stepping nose to nose with Davis. "How do you not know anything?! He's your roommate!"

Davis hung his head and exhaled a large, frustrated sigh. "Look, I gotta' go. All I can say is, whoever they are, they're lucky to have him."

Yolei rasped in exasperation and dropped back down to her seat.

As Davis turned to walk away, only Kari saw from her periphery the tiny smirk on his lips.
