Barian World:
Astrana's POV:
(Flash):
"Adrikins?"
"Yes?"
"I love you. You're a good person!"
(Flash)
"Kyaaa!" I cup my face and roll over in bed. Why did I suddenly think about that? Why did I say such a thing to a person I know less than a day?
A bright blue hue spans across the room as my gaze falls upon it with a smile. "It is calming."
My fingers touch the glass-like surface as I trace the outside in fascination. So this is an energy orb… it's beautiful.
(Flash):
"I was hoping this," He transfers the orb to my hand. "Would help with your fear of the dark."
(Flash)
Adrian… A smile crosses my face as I stare at the orb. "You are kind."
Although I don't know if this would cure my phobia it's the thought that counts.
A sigh escapes my lips as I direct my gaze at the luminous moon in the starry sky. "Adrian… why do you make me feel so… odd?" I ask no one in particular.
Hm… Best not to think about it. I cover up a yawn rubbing my eyes. I should rest so that I can spend the day with him again!
My heart flutters at the thought. Is this what having friends is like? I like it!
Astral World:
Star's POV:
"I knew that they will be fine." My friend exclaims as we walk back to our rooms.
A soft sigh escapes my lips as I poke her shoulder. "I told you not to be so loud."
She rolls her eyes. "Star, you're way too cautious." My friend said as she drapes an arm around me. "Sometimes, you have to let your presence be known." She is something.
I poke her forehead with a slight smile. "I'm cautious? You're mistaken. Astral and Lily are the cautious ones here."
"Also," I turn to face her. "Do you want us to get in trouble again?"
She looks away with an innocent whistle as I sigh yet again. "I do not want to be at the receiving end of his glare again," I mutter as she nods.
His glares are so cold and frightening!
"I know right? I never knew behind his handsome face lies a cold and piercing glare like that." She shivers a bit as I gulp.
Note to self: Don't get him angry unless I want to receive a death stare.
I blink and look at my friend. "Did you just say that he's handsome?" I ask as she grins and nudges my arm.
"Oh come on, that's a well-known fact among this world." She starts. "Plus, did you see his chest?"
My face flushes as I avoid her gaze. "Hey! Stop it!"
She giggles. "He has a body that rivals that of a male model."
A smirk flashes on her face as she leans closer. "Surely, you feel something when looking at him half-naked…"
My face heats up even more. He's handsome… objectively speaking of course!
"He is handsome," I admit after a moment of silence as she smiles.
"Yup," A sigh escapes her mouth. "I still find it unfair that she gets to see him like that every day."
I blink as I place a hand on her forehead. What?
"What are you doing?"
"Do you know what you're saying, Maria?"
"Yes…?"
Looks like she doesn't get it. "Did you forget you're his friend?"
She blinks with a laugh. "Of course not."
Her eyes widen with a face of realization. "Ohhhhh… you mean…"
I nod. "Yes,"
"Star cut me some slack." I reach my room as we enter and shut the door. "How do you expect a girl to react when they see a shirtless guy?"
I plop myself in the bed as I stifle a yawn. "True."
"See?" My friend crawls and lays on a pillow next to me. "It's the normal reaction when we see shirtless guys. Not to mention, when it's that well defined and toned…"
"Yea, how did he get it like that anyway?"
"He started sword fighting at a young age. Combine that with rigorous training."
No wonder… "How young was he?"
She places her hand under her chin. "I believe it was around five years old or something."
Five?! His parents let him weld a sword that young?
"Wow…" I trail off in disbelief. "Did she start that early as well?"
"I believe so, yes."
Five… I cannot imagine myself fighting at five years old.
I cover a yawn with my hand as a thought flies into my head. "Who said that you can sleep here?"
She giggles nervously hugging me. "Come on, I'm already in bed."
I blink. "I can kick you out."
"You wouldn't do that to me, would you, my friend?" She smiles sweetly and hugs me closer.
You would be surprised.
"View this as a sleepover of sorts." She said trying to convince me.
After a few minutes of her staring at me in desperation, I cave in. "Alright."
"Yay!" She wraps her arms around my neck as I giggle trying to get her off.
"Ok ok," I remove her arms gently. "You act like a little kid at times."
"I have been told that by my parents."
I shake my head slowly and turn off the bedside lamp with a click as she pulls up the blankets.
"Goodnight."
"Night!"
Next morning:
Liliana's POV:
"Hey, Star?" I ask roaming the hallway of the palace.
"Yes?"
"Have you seen Astral and/or Maria anywhere?"
"Now that you mention it," She places a hand under her chin. "I haven't seen them since this morning." How odd. Where could they have gone to?
"Girls," The Queen walks up to us. "Have you seen my son anywhere?"
"I'm afraid not, Your Majesties."
"Where on Astral World can he be?"
"Plus, Maria is missing as well."
Her eyes widen. "She's missing as well?"
I nod. Hm… knowing them, they are probably off somewhere shopping or something. Hmph! When he gets home, I will give him a piece of my mind.
"Have you tried checking her room?" The King suggested walking up to us as we sigh.
Her room! "Whoops," A nervous giggle escapes me. "Her room escaped my mind."
Everyone deeply sighs as we walk towards her room. "What if they are not there?"
"Well, then I guess we have to scourge the palace until we find them."
"They probably went out shopping or something."
"Maybe you're right, Lily."
My ears perk up as we got closer. Huh?
"Be gentle!"
"Ow!" My friend hissed as we blink from the other side of the door.
"I'm being as gentle as I can."
"It hurts!"
"Shhh… calm down, just… hold still."
"OW!"
Our eyes widened. "What are they doing in there?" My friend asks in concern as I lean towards the door.
She whimpers. "It's going to be alright. Don't worry." He soothed calmly.
"We've been at this for about 15 minutes now and my back is starting to hurt." Eh?
"Don't worry, after we're done, I'll personally give you a massage to make up for this."
"You'd better."
"Actually," She paused as I can hear feet shuffling followed by a thump.
"Hey! A bit of warning next time?"
"Sorry, but my legs feel like jelly and my back hurts."
He chuckles. "Still, you could've warned me before you took the lead and pushed me on the bed." Took the lead? Pushed him on the bed?
"Hahahahahaha… stop shifting on top of me! That tickles!" Shifting on top of him?
"Ow!" She hissed in pain.
"That's what you get for moving so much."
"Can you blame me? This is all your fault!"
"My fault?"
"If you haven't visited my room, we wouldn't be in this position."
"It's not all my fault. It was yours as well."
"Ow!"
"Astral…" She whimpers in pain as he sighs.
"I told you to hold still, didn't I?"
I am so lost right now? What are they talking about? She pushed him on the bed? Huh?
"Take your shirt off."
Our eyes widened. What on earth?!
"Why?"
"So I can get better access."
"The problem with that is-"
"You know what, I will do it."
"W-What are you-"
I can hear shuffling along with grunts and screams coming from within.
"Hey! D-Don't-"
We glanced at each other in shock not uttering a sound. Wait a minute… My face pales.
"Maria, you're too close."
"Oh come on, stop squirming."
"No, seriously, you're way too close!"
"Ow!"
He stifled a laugh. "That was your fault, not mine."
"I'm trying my best here."
"Are you enjoying touching my chest?" He asks as I glare at the door. Are they…
"Hold still and stop squirming. Like I want to touch your chest that badly. I'm trying to get this untangled." She scoffs as a thump can be heard.
I can't stand by and listen anymore! That does it!
"Hold still-"
(Thump)
I kick the door down with a slam as my eyes widened. On the bed, My love is on his back with his shirt unbuttoned showing off his lean yet muscular chest as my friend laid on top of him. Her legs straddle his waist placing her full body weight on his body as he shuts his eyes with a grimace.
The side of her face is pressed up against his chest as a groan escapes her lips. "Ow…"
My worst fears have come true… I steady myself with a clenched fist and glared murderously at them. How could they? How could he? Were his words all lies?!
Tears blurred my line of vision as I blink them away. Got to calm down. I shouldn't jump to conclusions like this.
"Astral," I gulp as his eyes open in shock. "You have one minute to explain this to me or else."
"Lily, I-It's not what it looks like!" He stammers as he tries to get out of bed.
"Ahhh! Ow!" My friend hissed in pain as she hugs his waist.
"Lily, I swear, it's not what it looks like!"
"Then explain." A lump forms in my throat as tears threatened to fall. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't you dare cry, Liliana!
"Ah-Ow!"
"Sorry, Maria but I have to get your hair untangled quickly!"
"Push through the pain."
"OWWW!"
"I swear," He looks at me in desperation. "It's not what it looks like."
I blink at the two of them. "Uh-huh…"
"Her hair got tangled with the button on my shirt and we have been trying to get it untangled for almost 20 minutes now with no luck." My love explains hastily as he pulls out her hair.
Really? Is that what happened?
My friend grimaced, wincing a bit while biting her lip to stifle a yelp. "Ow!"
"This isn't working." His eyes light up as he materialized a pair of scissors. "I'm sorry but I tried everything."
"No! Don't cut my hair!" She places her arms over her head.
"I tried everything and it still won't untangle."
"So you choose to sacrifice my hair?!"
"What am I supposed to do?"
He brings the scissors closer. "Now, don't move."
"Hold up." Their eyes drift towards me. "What I'm hearing is that your hair got tangled?"
"Yes, we have been trying for at least 20 minutes to untangle it."
"Nothing else happened?" I ask eyeing them in suspicion as they put their hands up in surrender.
"She's my friend. Nothing else happened."
"Yea, nothing happened, Lily. I swear I don't like him that way."
Hm…
(Flash):
"It's okay to get jealous but don't let your jealousy overshadow your love for that person."
"Eh? Mother, why are you saying this?"
She strokes my hair with a tender gaze. "It's just a precaution since you and Astral-"
"Mother!" I gently cover her mouth with my face beet red.
She laughs and ruffles my hair. "No need to get embarrassed but an important reminder,"
Her fingers card through my hair. "Stay safe with your activities with him."
"Y-Yes, of course."
(Flash)
Don't let jealousy overshadow your love for that person…
I took a deep breath and shut my eyes for a second. Right. They said that nothing happened between them. I should believe them.
A pair of arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer from behind as light breathing hits my ear making me shiver. "My love, nothing happened."
Huh? Wasn't he still… My eyes drift over towards my friend. In her hair, is a button from his shirt as she holds a match. She…
"Maria," My eyes glance at the match then at her. "Did you-"
She shoots me a smile. "What else was I supposed to do? I couldn't let him cut off a piece of my hair now, could I?"
"Hey!" My beloved exclaims as he wraps arms around my waist tighter.
She giggles. "Anyway, since this whole thing happened because of you," Her eyes twinkle with mischief. "You owe me."
"I owe you?" He chuckles with an eye roll. "You forget who got us in this mess in the first place?"
She walks closer pecking his cheek with a wink. "Of course you owe me. After all, I don't offer my services for free, do I?"
Services? What does she mean?
"Alright," My love smiles. "What do you want?"
She places her hand under her chin. "Hm… nothing comes to mind. Don't you worry though, when I think of something, I will let you know, my student." My student?
He stifles a laugh. "Yes, Master."
Hang on a second, student and master? Huh?
"Do I even want to ask?"
They glance at each other stifling laughs. "It's best if you don't know."
Hm…
Maria's POV:
I let out a sigh of relief as I close the door. Thank goodness.
"Star," I sat on the couch looking at her as she nervously giggles. "I thought I told you to keep her distracted until we are ready."
"Sorry, I really tried but I thought you two would be done by now."
"We're long from done," He said looking at the ring box on the table. "Your job is to keep her distracted. Get her ready for tonight."
"And by that," I added. "We mean keep her away from the palace, especially his room."
She covers her mouth. "Are you going to-"
"Shhhh!" I put a finger on her lip. "Don't say a word about this, okay?"
She nods in determination. "I will do my best for you."
"Just count on me, but what about your parents?" Oh, yea… The King and Queen will be around.
(Knock)(Knock)
I froze as my heart hammers. "Who is it?"
"It's us,"
His parents and her parents! Oh god!
"Quick," I whisper to him. "Hide the box!"
My friend panics as he fumbles and stuck it in a drawer.
"Ok, act natural." I take a deep breath with a smile.
"Enter."
The door opens revealing his parents and my friend's parents.
Her dad is around the age of 30 with bright red eyes, fair skin with black hair while her mom has sky blue eyes, porcelain skin, and black hair with blue highlights at the ends.
"Your Majesties,"
"Greetings, General and General's Wife,"
"No need for formalities." They sat down opposite us clasping their hands together with interest. Why are they looking at us like that?
"Son," His dad said with a smile. "Where's the ring?"
He chokes on his water as his eyes widen. They know?! How?!
"What ring are you talking about?" My friend regains his usual calm disposition.
"No need to keep this from us," His mom said reaching to hold his hand gently. "Luca told us everything."
We snap our gazes at her dad as he chuckles nervously. "I figured that they can help with the planning."
Hm… "So, you know everything?"
They nod. "Yes,"
"Don't worry," Her mom said. "We can help you distract her until everything is ready."
"Ok," Everyone leans closer in interest. "Here's the plan, Star, you and her parents are going to get her ready for tonight. The main thing is to keep her away from the palace."
"Got it."
"And for me and Maria, we will decorate and prepare for the main event."
"Any questions?"
"I have one, what are we supposed to do?"
My friend chuckles. "Mother, you and Father will continue to do what you normally do so that it doesn't arouse suspicion but I will call you if we need anything."
"Sounds fair."
"Oh, um, how long until she can return?"
"I would say around sunset? Probably a little later. It depends on what time we get done with it."
"No worries, I will notify you when she should head back."
I clap my hands together. "Ok, any more questions?"
"I think I should notify you of this." He turns to me. "You see, I made plans with a friend and it's too late to cancel. So-"
I place a hand on his lip. "Don't worry, if we start early then why should get most of it done by the evening."
"What's the time?" It's currently 11.
"Around 4."
I peck his cheek. "We have plenty of time. Don't worry about it."
"Is everyone clear on what they should do?"
"Yes!"
"Let's do this!"
"Hold up," His mom holds up a hand. "I want to see the ring."
He smiles and opens the box as our eyes widen. My heart stopped for a moment, mesmerized by its beauty. Oh my…
This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong-set atop a crisscross, split shank, with marquise diamond accents on the shoulders. It's a classically-inspired design that integrates organic elements with the traditional diamonds to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece. There are three diamonds in this ring, with the largest being a round brilliant cut. The other two are smaller marquise-shaped stones, and they're tucked into openings on the shoulders between the two strands of the split, crisscross shank. This creates a lovely three-stone look that helps highlight the center diamond's natural brilliance and perfect shape, while also helping to ease the transition to the organically-styled band below.
Although it begins as a solid piece across the bottom, the band of this ring soon divides into two strands, and these separate slightly before crossing back over each other at about the one-quarter point. From here, they begin to narrow, and they loop back quickly together just before they reach the main setting, creating the opening that houses the marquise diamond accents. On each side, the top portion of one of these strands also branches outright at the top, forming leaf shapes that help bring wonderful organic overtones to the ring. There is also a small leaf tucked just below each marquise diamond, and these metal accents play off of the shape of the side diamonds as well to integrate smoothly into the overall design. Holy moly. It's stunningly gorgeous!
Unconsciously, I reached for it only to get swatted away by his hand, holding the box close. "No one is allowed to touch it."
"Oh, come on!" My friend groans looking at the ring without blinking. "Did you design it yourself?"
"Yup,"
My hand pats his back with a slow nod. "Congratulations on your newly founded artistic ability." How can he envision that? Not to mention draw it out on a piece of paper.
"Tell us more about this ring." Her mom stares at it in utter shock.
"This ring is a 14K white gold diamond ring with a pave twisted shank. The 12-carat diamond perches delicately in the center." He explains as our eyes widen. Holy moly! A whopping 12 carats?!
"I-I'm sorry but did you say 12?!"
"Yup."
His dad lets out a sigh. "You have really outdone yourself this time."
He chuckles as his mom stares at him. "I'm impressed. A whopping 12 carats!"
"How much did it cost?"
His face pales with a nervous smile as I narrow my eyes. It's pretty costly. That, I can assure you.
Hm…
"Try to guess."
"Hm… judging by the size it must be expensive…"
"Is it around a thousand?" Star guesses as he stifles a laugh. A thousand for an engagement ring?
"Higher."
"5,000?"
"Higher."
"50,000?"
"Much higher."
"It's greater than 50,000?"
He nods. "Yup."
"100,000?"
"Son, just how much did you spend on the ring?" His mom chimes in with a shocked tone of voice.
"10 million?" His dad asks as my eyes widen. 10 million?!
"10 million?!" Everyone screeches in total shock and snaps their gazes towards him. "Did you spend 10 million on this ring?"
He burst out laughing. "That's way too much."
"If it's not 10 million," Her mother said. "How much is it?"
"Around 1.5 million," He stated calmly as we look at him in shock with our mouths hanging open.
1.5 million?!
"You spent one and a half million dollars on this ring?!" Everyone exclaims as he blinks.
"Yes."
"Wow." We said speechless staring at him. The fact that he spent one to two million on a ring screams commitment and how much he loves her.
Liliana's POV:
"Ooooo," My friend exclaims in excitement as she drags me to a store. "Try this one!"
Ugh…
(Flash):
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?!"
A sigh escapes as I rub my forehead. "Why? Didn't we go a while ago?"
"Yes, but today's different."
"How?"
She gulps with a nervous smile. "Just come to the mall with me."
"Is there some secret you're not telling me?" I ask eyeing her as her eyes widen.
"I… uh-"
"Liliana," My father calls out. "Let's go."
"But why?"
"Don't you want to go with us?" My mother chimes in holding my arm.
"Of course but-"
"Oh, Luca," She sighs leaning on my father. "She doesn't want to hang out with us anymore."
He pats her arm with a sigh. "It's okay."
My eyes widen. "N-No, I'm just wondering the occasion and where Astral and Maria are."
"They are probably around the palace somewhere. Let's not worry about them."
"Eh? But-"
Her eyes glisten as she buries her head in his shoulder. "Luca, all she thinks about is him. She doesn't need us anymore!"
"It's okay. Don't worry, Carissa." He pulls her closer."
I blink. "W-What-"
"They say once a daughter is grown, she no longer wants to do things for her parents or join them in activities." He sighs with a head shake. "All she thinks about is him. How can she be so cruel?"
"I-I don't think that," I utter out stunned by my parents' reaction.
(Flash)
Ah, they got me with the guilt trip.
"Seriously," I throw my hands up in the air. "What's the occasion?"
"What do you mean?" My friend bats her eyes innocently.
"Since when do I dress this fancy?" I gesture to the simple red dress on my body. And where did Astral and Maria disappear off to?
She laughs and ushers me into the dressing room. "Ah, come on. You call this simple dress fancy?"
"Star," My eyes narrow. "What are you hiding?"
Her eyes shift as she claps twice. "Yes, Lady Star?"
"Get my friend all dressed up stat!"
A mischievous smile flashes on their faces as I back away. "W-What-"
"Lady Liliana," They spoke in unison. "Time to change."
H-Huh?! "Good luck, Lily!" My friend beams as I try to pull her back.
"No! W-What are you-"
"Come back here!"
The door clicks with a shut as I gulp at the two women in front of me. Uh-oh…
"W-Wait just a-"
"We have been given orders, please forgive us."
"Star, this will never be forgiven! You hear me?!"
Star's POV:
"Are you sure this is wise?" I whisper as I hear screams coming from the dressing room as she pats my back.
"Don't worry," Her mother whispers back holding in a giggle. "It will all be worth it once she realizes."
"Hey um…" The General walks up to us carrying four smoothies with him. He points to the dressing room as shuffling can be heard. "Should I be concerned right now?"
I burst out laughing taking my drink and sipping it a bit. "Don't worry, they are professionals in the makeup industry. She'll be fine."
"Lady Star, we're done with the first outfit!"
"Alright, bring her out."
The door opens as and out comes my friend wearing an off-the-shoulder silver mini dress that stops at her thighs. Hm…
"Something seems off…"
Her father nods in confirmation. "I agree, it looks pretty but for some reason, it doesn't suit her." Hm…
Her mother's eyes widen. "Ah-ha!"
"What?"
"It's the color. It doesn't suit her." She exclaims as we stare at her from head to toe with calculating gazes.
I nod. "You're right."
My friend fidgets shifting her weight on one side. "Can you stop staring at me?"
"Lady Star, there are still many dresses to try on."
"Go ahead."
"Not again!" She yelps as two pairs of arms pull her back into the dressing room and shut the door.
The next one to grace her body is a yellow flowy number that went past the knee, off-shoulder, and with short sleeves. Well,
"Better, but we could go a little further with the style."
"Plus butter yellow's not your best color."
"Oh come on," She groans. "Tell me, why on earth-Woah!"
The door slams as we let out breaths of relief. "Thank goodness."
"Oh no no no no no! I am not wearing this dress." My friend adamantly stated as I raise a brow.
"I'm not coming out!" She hollers as we glance at each other.
"Huh?"
"Why not?"
"What's wrong with it?"
"I don't know who picked this out, I don't care if it was an accident, but there is no way, this is a dress that I will be wearing! It's showing off way too much!"
"Oh come on, how bad it can be?"
The door opens as we gaped at the sight of the dress. Oh my gosh…
It's black, cut to barely mid-thigh, and the top part basically makes it look like a bralette attached to a very, very short skirt that somewhat accentuates her figure and curves to a tee. That's not even the worse part, the top totally reveals her cleavage which my friend immediately covered with her arms as we stare. Oh my god… That dress… I know it's for his eyes but why do I get the feeling that once he lay eyes on this, he'll pounce?
"You're right,"
"Into the dressing room this instant young lady!" He hollers sending shivers down my spine. Yikes!
"I was opposed to coming out." She mutters.
Liliana's POV:
Can this day get any worse?! First of all, I was dragged along to a shop and now, I'm being forced to try on dresses! Ugh… and who knows where Astral and Maria disappeared to?
This day is something…
"(Wolf whistle) Damn, girl!" Uh-oh...
Aaaand we're putting a check-mark for Yes!
Stiffening to the max, I slowly turn my head to see three boys roughly three or four years older than me standing by the doors to other dressing rooms closest to the entrance/exit into the main shop, each one occupying a lusty stare that made me want to curl into a ball and fade from existence. Come on... Seriously?
"That's a sexy number you got on!"
"I can only imagine what's hiding underneath~."
"How 'bout you come with us and we'll buy it for you."
Bastards!
A noise of repulsion escapes my lips, and I immediately try to cover myself as best I can with my arms. Not this again. Why did I choose to walk out of the dressing room?
"What a thing to say to a girl!" My friend yells chucking her shoes at them.
"What is wrong with you?!" My mother glares at them murderously. Oh no, blood's going to get spilled. If there is one thing I learned while growing up, it's to not make her angry.
"That's my daughter you, bastards!" He clenches his fists furrowing his brows as if getting ready to punch those guys in the face. I'm lucky to have such a good family and friends. A slight smile crosses my face as two women pull me back into the room shutting the door.
At the same time, a worker comes to dispel the situation.
"Forgive me, Lady Liliana," She kneels in front of me.
"I shouldn't have-"
"Please, rise you two," I help them up with a smile. "Don't worry, you were only doing your job." Plus, that's not the first time it happened, unfortunately.
Maria's POV:
In Astral's room:
"Hey, can you pass me the knife?"
"Why?"
"I need to cut something?"
"Wouldn't scissors be more practical?" I questioned as he stood precariously on a stool.
"It would but scissors can't cut through this." What?
I tilt my head in confusion. "How?"
He shrugs glancing at me. "Perhaps the scissors are too dull." Perhaps.
I materialized a sharp knife. "Here."
My friend blinks blankly. "Can you pass it to me?"
I internally sigh. A prince will always be a prince.
"Alright, Your Highness," I teased as he chuckles.
"Thank you very much, My Lady,"
I crack a smile and was about to hand him the knife when I tripped causing me to bump into the stool he was standing on. That caused a chain reaction as the stool tips over and we fell to the ground.
(Thud)
I hiss as I hold my arm with a big gash on my forearm. Ow!
He clutches his head. "Are you al-"
A gasp escapes as he holds my arm with eyes wide. "Ooooo, that looks bad."
"Thanks for the obvious." My tone drips with sarcasm as he summons a first aid kit.
"Why are you so clumsy?" My friend starts to say as he situates my wound. "If you would pay attention to your surroundings a bit more, this wouldn't have happened." There he goes.
"It's just an accident," I muttered looking at my arm. "Why are you always scolding me?"
"I don't scold you because I want to." He states this time in a more gentle tone. "You were holding a knife. That could cause you to become even more wounded than you are currently."
"True but I'm fine." I move my arm as I wince. Nope. Not fine.
He lets out a sigh as he positions my arm straight. "You're not fine."
"Do you know how dangerous that fall could've been if you got stabbed somewhere else?" My friend stares at me. "You're lucky that it was only a scrape."
"It was an accident…" I reiterated not meeting his eyes. Not this lecture again.
"Why must you always make me worry like this?" He organizes the kit not glancing at me. "You have to take better care of yourself."
"Yes, I practically memorized this by heart since you said it so many times."
"Clearly I haven't said it enough or else this wouldn't have happened, would it?"
"But it was an accident." I look at him. "Accidents happen."
"I understand but still, that fall could have killed you. Just imagine, if the knife stabbed you somewhere else more vital, we wouldn't be here having this conversation again."
"Ok but no need to scold me like a child," I mutter as his gaze softens. He's so intimidating when he's angry.
"Seriously, the first thing that comes out of your mouth is a scolding. You don't even bother to ask if I'm okay or hurt. You always scold me like this."
My friend softly sighs as he holds my hand gently. "Maria, I don't enjoy scolding you or anyone else for that matter but you got to understand, if I hadn't reacted quickly and pushed that knife away from your hand, with the trajectory of your fall, it will most likely end up in your chest."
W-What? My face pales. So if he hadn't reacted… I would probably be unconscious right now.
He wasn't scolding me because of anger. He was scolding me because of my carelessness and worry for my safety… I cup his face softly with one hand as he tilts his head in confusion.
"Uh, Maria?"
The corners of my lips curve upwards as I embrace him wrapping my arms around his chest. "Thank you."
"Thank you?"
"For scolding me," I said as he laughs.
"Why would you suddenly thank me for that?"
"I just now realized when you yelled at me, it wasn't out of anger like I believe it was a few years ago," I explained wrapping my arms tighter as we stood up.
"Why on earth would you think I was angry at you?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe it was because you raised your voice when either Lily or I got hurt somehow?"
A silence passes between us as he pats my head gently. "Silly, how would I have the heart to get mad at you?"
I giggle a bit. "I know so that's why I'm saying thank you."
"Don't worry about it. It's no big deal. All that matters is that you're safe."
A smile graces my face at his words. Thanks for being such a great friend, Astral.
"But," His voice rises with an edge to it. "I expect you to not be so careless and be careful around sharp objects such as knives, got it?"
My gaze stares at his eyes as I plant a kiss on his cheek with a smile. "Got it, Your Highness!"
He cracks a smile and returns my kiss on the cheek.
A cough emanates from him as he pulls away from the embrace hacking violently into his palm as his legs gave out causing him to stumble.
"What's wrong?"
My eyes widen as I notice trickles of blood leaking down from his hand. It must be his Tuberculosis!
I shook him as he coughed up more blood into his hand. "Where do you keep your medication?" I ask quickly as my friend start to look more pale than usual.
He grimaces, coughing up some more blood as it drips on the carpet. "Drawer..." He whispers as sweat drips from his face and clutch his chest with labored breathing.
I immediately rummage through his drawers frantically looking for the medicine. Come on where is it?! My eyes widen as I saw a bottle of pills. Yes!
I leap to his side and plop the pill into his mouth. Does this work? Mismatched eyes slowly open as he strains a smile. "Thank you." Wow! This medication works.
My brows furrow as I help him off the ground. "That phrase applies to you as well."
My friend blinks blankly as he stifles an incoming cough. "What (Cough) What do you mean?"
We sat on the bed as a sigh escapes my lips. "Have you told her about this?"
He nods. "Yes, she knows."
That's good. "Do you know how worried I was?"
"Ok ok, I'm fine aren't I?"
I hit his shoulder as he pats my cheek. "Now, come on smile."
"Hmph," I turn away as he sighs.
"Alright, be like that." The weight on the bed shifts as I glance at him. Seriously?!
"Astral!" I whine as he chuckles.
"Anyway, I got somewhere to be."
"Of course, enjoy yourself."
As he was about to step out the door, my friend glances back. "But I don't want to-"
"Don't worry, your parents will help." I walk up to him pecking his cheek with a smile.
"Still-"
"Son," The Queen walks in. "We'll handle it."
My friend smiles as he pecks my cheek with a head pat. "Thanks!"
"Love ya! See you later."
"Love ya too!"
He shuts the door as I sigh and look at the room. At least there's not much to do.
Liliana's POV:
"Next."
"Oh come on!" I snap my gaze at them. "How much longer are we going to keep this up?"
"Until we find a suitable dress for you." My father states calmly sitting in front of the dressing room sipping his smoothie.
"I can't take this anymore!" I sit down facing them. "Why are we doing this? Is it some sort of special occasion that I'm not aware of?"
"What do you mean?" My friend blinks with a head tilt. "Can't we take you out shopping?"
"Mother, Father," My gaze shifts to them as they avoid my eyes. "You know I don't like dresses. Why are you having me try on 50 of them?"
She sighs. "Liliana, wearing a dress once in a while isn't going to hurt you."
"Yea, but why? Why today of all days? What's so special about this day?" I ask as they glance at each other. They're hiding something. No doubt about it!
A brief period of silence passes between the three of us as she sighs with a nod.
"You really want to know the real reason why?"
"Yes,"
My father's eyes widen. "Carissa-"
She places a finger on his lip. "Let me handle this."
Her eyes shift back to me. "They say men are visual creatures."
Ok… where is she going with this? "If you don't take care of your appearance, no matter how much a guy says he loves you, he will eventually get bored and move on."
I blink. Huh… true. Yes, she does have a point…
My eyes narrow. "Why are you saying this?"
My mother closes her eyes a bit. "Astral, he's the Prince and also very visually attractive, especially to young ladies." Is she saying…
"He meets with them daily to discuss affairs of this world and has interacted with many people."
My eyes widen as a thought flies into my mind. I gasp. "Are you saying that he has someone else?!"
The two other people at the table look at her in shock. "What are you saying?"
She ignores them and focuses on me. "No, I'm not saying that at all but you must know, many of the young ladies he interacts with daily take care of their appearance. By that, I mean they groom themselves to be ladylike. They wear dresses, high heels, do their hair, put on makeup, etc."
"So… you are saying that I'm not ladylike?" I raise an eyebrow as she sighs once more.
"Not that you're not ladylike. It's just that you absolutely refuse to put on a dress and high heels unless it's for a special day."
"Why would I wear something that I don't like?"
"I hate to say this but you've got to keep an eye on him. Men are visual creatures and if they see something attractive and appealing like a woman in a cute dress-wearing makeup with her hair professionally done, they will take off in an instant."
Can that be true?
(Flash):
"(Wolf whistle) Damn, girl!"
"That's a sexy number you got on!"
"I can only imagine what's hiding underneath~."
"How 'bout you come with us and we'll buy it for you."
(Flash)
My mother's right. I feel sick to the stomach thinking of those guys. Disgusting.
"I'm not saying that he will act like that but better safe than sorry."
The mere thought of him being like that with another woman… ugh! It makes me so nauseous!
"If I dress up a bit," I start after a moment of silence. "Does that mean that he will be more attracted to me?"
She smiles as a hand touch mine. "Of course. Any man would want their woman to dress up at times."
"It's the first way to a man's heart. Look attractive and you will easily slip past."
I nod. "Makes sense…"
"The second way is his stomach."
"His stomach?"
"It means if you cook/bake something, especially for him, he won't ever let you go." She winks as I stare at her in awe. Really?
"Mother," I hold her hand. "Teach me more."
She pats my head tenderly with a laugh. "Of course, my daughter, but first, you have to find a suitable dress."
Star's POV:
My friend holds a pile of dresses and high heels in her arms as she walks into the dressing room. Wow.
"Carissa, was that necessary?"
"Giving her a nudge isn't bad, Luca. Besides, she absolutely has to wear a dress for this occasion."
"Yea, but you of all people should know that he's not the type to judge women in physical attractiveness."
"Of course, I know that he's not like other guys but there's only so much he can withstand. Think about it, he interacts with tons of people every day. If one catches his eye then it's game over for her."
He sighs. "Why do-"
"It's not that I question his love for her. It's just a precaution that's all. After all, if she can keep his heart on her, she will be happy."
He mutters something along the lines of, "Women are really something."
She hits his shoulder. "Hey! Don't think I don't know how your mind works. If I didn't keep a close eye on you over the years, considering how many women flirted with you, you would've probably been sucked away by them."
He blinks with a nervous chuckle. "Carissa," He holds her hands gently. "You know that the only one I love is you."
"I know but still, no one likes the person they love flirting with someone else. That's why I got to teach these things to her. So she can hold his heart captive as long as possible." Her lips form a smirk as I shudder.
He gulps. "You are sure scary when you want to be."
I agree.
The dressing room unlocks and comes out in a stunning white, off-the-shoulder dress v neck scoop back with red rose floral print. The dress accentuates her curves to a slim fit, revealing her cleavage ending near her mid-thigh. To top it off, she's wearing a pair of white high heels and dangly earrings.
Our eyes widen as she steps towards us with a regal aura about her. She gracefully glides over towards the table to grab her white mini purse.
"What do you think?"
I snap from my shock not uttering a single word. They were right. Clothes make a person. With this, she looks even more stunning than usual. I'm a bit jealous though. How does she always manage to look good?
Her mother smiles holding her hand. "I don't understand why you refuse to wear a dress when you look so beautiful in it?"
She giggles. "I find it too feminine for my taste. Plus, it's not very practical for sword fighting." Of course, she would choose practicality over fashion. That's just how she is.
A sigh escapes my lips and I shake my head. "Of course,"
"According to me," Her father chimes in staring at my friend. "Don't you think it's a bit revealing?"
Revealing? My gaze drifts to her again. Oh, I guess it is a bit revealing.
Her eyes widen. "I guess it is…"
I glance at the clock. "Look at the time. We're almost late for your hair appointment." I took her hand and drag her outside.
My friend stumbles on her shoes, wobbling. "Slow down a bit."
"Can I change these shoes?"
"Nope, you need to get used to wearing these."
She groans. "But these heels are a killer to walk in."
Her mother laughs. "Pain is beauty, my daughter."
Liliana's POV:
"Ok," A female sits me down on a chair. "I'm going to make you so gorgeous that your boyfriend won't even recognize you!"
My face heats up. W-What? "How did you know?"
She giggles covering her mouth a bit. "Your ring." Her eyes drift towards my left ring finger. "It's a promise ring right?"
"Y-Yea,"
"Ah, young love." The girl next to me smiles looking at me. "If you don't mind me asking, has he proposed yet?"
"Proposed?" My heart thumps at her words. As in being engaged?
She laughs. "How long has he gifted you that?"
"About two years ago," I said nonchalantly gazing at my ring with a smile.
They look at me in awe with gasps. "I have a hunch."
"He's probably-"
(Ding)
"Ah, welcome."
What was she trying to say? A pair of arms wrap loosely around my neck as I stiffen. What the? Please don't be a creep!
"Are you that scared of me?" A male voice whispers as I spin my head around to meet jet black hair, brown eyes, and fair skin wearing denim jeans and a white T-Shirt smirking at me. Of course, it's him.
"Zachary, seriously?" I take a breather. "I thought you were some creep!"
He laughs poking my cheek with a goofy smile. "Were you scared?"
"Scared?" I scoff removing his arms from my neck. "Like I would be scared by the likes of you."
He pats my head as I make a face. "Hey!"
His eyes roll with a small smile. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm getting my hair done apparently."
"Huh," He blinks with a strange look as his hand touches my forehead. "Are you feeling alright?"
My eyes widen. "Because the Liliana I know, wouldn't dress up like this," My friend gestures to my outfit as I shoot him a glare.
"You make it seem like I don't ever dress up," I mutter under my breath as he smirks.
"You don't."
I hit his head gently. "What are you doing here?"
"We happen to walk by and I saw someone who looks a lot like you and you know the rest." Huh? We?
My eyes drift towards the lounging area and sure enough, my friend was talking to two males my age.
"Did you just notice us?" Brandon asks as I let out a laugh. He has dirty blond hair with a fair complexion and dark blue eyes.
"Sort of,"
He sighs and smacks his face gently. "Of course,"
"Lily," A man around the age of 18 with dark green eyes, fair skin, and ash-blond hair calls out with a smile. "How have you been doing?"
"I'm doing quite well, Derek," I responded with a grin. "How have you three been?"
"Eh, you know we have been here and there. Tons of work, that's for sure."
"Mhm. That I can understand." After all, I spent many nights sleepless helping my beloved fill out files and endless documents.
"Sorry to interrupt," The woman next to me chimes in as we look at her. "I'm curious, which one out of the three guys is your boyfriend?"
We glance at each other stifling laughs. "No no no," I shake my head as my friends burst out laughing. "None of these guys are my boyfriend."
Her eyes widen. "Oh, I'm-"
"There's nothing to apologize for,"
I glance at them shaking their heads eating cookies. "Yea, we're friends."
"Yup,"
"Really?" The person brushing my hair exclaims in disbelief. "According to me, they're not bad looking."
Yea, they are not bad-looking indeed but Astral is soo much better. "Yes, but my boyfriend is much more attractive than them."
"Hey!"
"You are cruel, you know that?"
"Take that back!"
"Now now, she only saying the truth."
Their eyes widen. "You too?!"
"Star," Brandon exclaims placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm hurt right now."
"Are we not your friends?" His tone feigned hurt with tears glistening. Quite the actor.
My friend gulps with her eyes shifting around her and then looks at me, not knowing what to do. "It's not that you three are bad-looking. He's better looking than you three combined." Hahahaha!
They blink at her. "You're biased since he saved you," Zach said as the other two nodded in confirmation.
"Your opinion doesn't count."
"Ahem," I clear my throat as my friends all look at me. "Then does my opinion count?"
Derek chuckles. "Of course not. You're his girlfriend. Of course, you're going to be biased."
I roll my eyes. "Think whatever you want."
"Oh, by the way where's Maria?" Brandon asks as he looks around. "Did she not come with you?"
"Nope," A sigh escapes my lips. "I don't know where she is right now. Probably hanging out with him as we speak."
He nods as Zach nudges him. "Ow!"
"Why'd you do that for?"
My friends sigh with a facepalm. Those guys…
"Him?" A ten-year-old girl asks as my eyes widen.
"My boyfriend. My friend is probably with him right now."
She giggles. "I assumed so but if you don't mind me asking, what's his name?"
"Adrian," I said after a few moments as my friends sport a confused look. He's getting married tomorrow. If I reveal his real name then who knows what will happen.
"Oh, I thought your boyfriend was The Prince for a second there." The hairdresser laughs as she pins my hair up.
My body stiffens. "Why would you think that?"
"Well, it is a known fact that he is the fairest man in this world." The girl next to me explains with a lovesick smile.
"If I was 18, I would marry him." She cups her face staring at the mirror as the woman sighs.
"Medea, did you forget this is The Prince you are speaking about?"
"But Mommy, he's super handsome and cute!"
I hold in a laugh as I watched them converse. I agree. Who knew that even little kids are attracted to him.
"Yes, ok, he's handsome but don't forget, you're ten years old."
She pouts. "A girl can dream can't she?"
We stifle laughs as her mother shakes her head muttering, "This crush of hers…"
Who knew he was so popular?
Astrana's POV:
This is so much better than Barian World!
I stand on the bridge looking at the cherry tree that's to the left. That's such a beautiful tree.
The delicate petals sway with the light breeze in a thousand hues as my dress flows behind me softly.
"Hey Beautiful," Huh?
I turn around as a guy with red hair and blue eyes approach me with a smile. "What are you doing all alone?"
Uh… I blink as he steps closer. "Excuse me but have we met?" I ask with a raised brow.
"No, we have never met."
Then why are you striking up a conversation with me?
"Oh."
"You still haven't answered my question."
"What are you doing all alone?"
I tilt my head in confusion. "I'm surrounded by a bunch of people. What are you talking about?"
He chuckles. "Yes, but I mean why are you standing here?"
"I'm waiting for someone," I respond vaguely looking around for him.
"Who are you waiting for?"
"My-" I shut my mouth and stare at him. Why is he asking?
"What is it to you?" My eyes narrow in suspicion as he slowly steps closer.
"I'm just concerned that's all." He shoots me a smile. "A woman such as yourself all alone in the middle of a bridge."
"You are a target among bad people." Bad people?
My eyes widen. "A target?"
He nods pulling me closer by the waist as a shiver crawls down my spine. Something's not right here…
"What are you doing?" I remove his hands but he holds my waist firmly.
"I don't even know if you're innocent or naive." His tone suddenly changes making my stomach clench as I stand there unmoving. Is this what I think it is?
"Let go of me," I said trying to steady my voice as he pulls me closer.
"Why should I?" I shudder as I felt a tongue licking my earlobe.
My heart pounds rapidly. I gulp with breathing labored. Calm down… got to stay calm…
"L-Let go."
My eyes shift to the people talking and walking without a care in the world. Why aren't they helping me? Don't they see what he's doing?
"S-Stop it," I whisper in a shaky voice as my heart beats rapidly.
My body trembles in fear as I try to regulate my breaths. Calm down. I just need to-
I feel an arm pull me closer as I shut my eyes. He hugs me tightly as I tremble and clench my jaw. Why does this feel different than before?
"Are you alright?" A male voice asks as my eyes widen.
That voice!
"Adrian!" I hug him tighter burying my head in his chest as he pats my shoulder.
"Sorry, I'm late."
"It's okay. Don't worry about it." I mutter.
"Who are you?" That guy asks angrily shooting glares at him as I grip his hand tightly.
"What is it to you?" He asks calmly wrapping an arm around my waist protectively.
Astral's POV:
"What is it to you?" I asked wrapping my arm around her waist pulling her away from that guy. This situation…
My anger boils internally as I clench my jaw. How dare he touch her!
"He's my older brother."
My eyes widen at her words as she pecks my cheek. "Right, Older brother?"
I blink. Brother? She winks as I got the message. Ohhhhh.
"Of course, my little sister." I flash her a smile as I direct my attention to the red-haired fellow.
My eyes narrow murderously. "What were you doing with her?"
His face pales instantly. Beads of sweat drip from his forehead as he gulps. "I-I gotta go. My sister is calling me!" He exclaims hastily as he flies quickly as possible.
Why that little…
I glance at my friend who is still trembling. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yea," She lets out a breath of relief. "I'm fine thanks to you."
I unwrap my arm around her waist and pat her head. "You're trembling."
"Come on," I hold her hand and drag her to a bench, and sit her down.
She must be really scared to be trembling like that. Her whole face is pale as her hands shake violently. What am I supposed to do in this situation?
"Amber?"
She launches herself towards me with a thump as I wince at the sudden impact.
"Thank you for saving me from him." My friend whispers as a smile appears on my face.
I pat her back gently. "Of course, I would help you."
Too bad that I let that guy escape. If I manage to see him again, I clench my fist. I would personally make him regret touching her with his life!
Let's see… I'm thinking in the realms of blood… probably bankruptcy… his entire life will be ruined… popularity and status will be nonexistent… just to name a few.
"You don't mind, do you?"
Huh? "Mind what?"
"Me hugging you."
"Of course not." I ruffle her hair as she leans into my chest wrapping her arms around my chest as I put an arm around her shoulder protectively.
"It's alright… he's gone now." I soothe as a hand grips mine firmly.
She sniffles. "Why did he do that?"
I bit my lip. How should I explain this? Um…
"Well," I pull back from the hug holding her shoulders as I look into those warm gold eyes. Why on earth does she remind me so much of my sister?
"There are people that see women as objects of physical pleasure, not as beings with personalities." I begin as she nods.
"He said that I was a target for bad people." Target?
I examine her outfit which consists of a flowery dress that ends at her thighs. How is she a target?
"Were you just standing there waiting for me?" I ask a moment later.
"Yup! I was standing there when he came up to me."
What I don't get is why other people didn't do anything? Seriously, are people blind? She was in distress!
I let out a sigh holding her hands. "I'm sorry. I should've arrived sooner so that-"
She places her hand on my lips gently to silence me. "There's nothing to be sorry about. You have your own life outside of me."
My friend pecks my cheek. "All that matters is that you showed up. You kept your promise and even saved me from him."
"And for that, I'm very grateful to have you as a friend, Adrikins."
I stifle a laugh. That nickname again. "I'm very lucky to have met you too, Amber."
My friend covers her mouth with a giggle. "You're lucky to meet me? I'm pretty sure it's the other way around."
"If you didn't save me yesterday, I would probably end up dead."
My hands ruffle her soft hair as she leans on my shoulders holding my arm. "Anyone would've saved you. I just happen to hear all the commotion from the crowd."
"Yes, which is why I'm lucky to have met you. Speaking of which, you're lucky."
"Oh?"
She nods confidently. "When I was in trouble, you were there to save me from them. When I needed you, you came."
"Which explains why you're lucky!" She said happily. "You're my Lucky!"
My body freezes at her words. You're my Lucky…
(Flash):
"Lucky!"
A sigh escapes my lips as my sister sits on my lap. "Astrana, I have been meaning to ask. Why do you refer to me as such?"
She blinks. "I mean like that's not even close to my name."
"Isn't it obvious?" My little sister asks after a moment of staring at me. "You're lucky. That's why I call you that."
I let out a laugh of disbelief. "I'm lucky?"
She nods. "Yup! You always let me do whatever I want and not to mention, you resolve everything for me when I'm in trouble."
"I hardly call that lucky," I mutter as she shot me a look.
"Whatever. No matter what you say, you're lucky! Most importantly, you're my Lucky!"
(Flash)
You're my Lucky… her words… how can two people be so similar?
"Adrian!" A voice shouts as I blink and turn towards the sound.
My friend looks at me with concern radiating from her eyes as she holds my hand. "Are you okay? I have been calling you for a few minutes now."
My mouth curves upward. "I'm fine. I was just remembering someone that's all."
She tilts her head. "Someone?"
"Mhm.
Her eyes widen. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I say something that's triggering?" She apologizes hastily as my eyes widen.
"No no no, you're fine." I hold her hands. "I happen to remember her that's all."
"If you don't mind, who was that person you were thinking about?" She asks hesitantly gauging my reaction.
There's no harm in telling her right? "Someone very close and important to me," I utter as her eyes soften in what seems to be understanding.
"I'm sorry." My friend looks down. "I shouldn't have-"
"It's not your fault." I interrupt with a slight smile. "Don't worry about it."
After all, it's not her fault that she acts like my sister in both mannerisms and appearance.
"Do you want to talk about her?" My friend asks quietly in caution.
I take a breath. "There's not much to say about her. All I can say is that she was very important to me." I started.
A smile appears on my face. "I knew that she was going to be my world."
Astrana… A stab of pain hits my left chest as I gulp. I failed as an older brother. I failed. I'm sorry, my little sister.
An arm wraps around my shoulder and pulls me closer. What?
"You must've loved her very much."
"Yea, I loved her," I mutter as she pats my shoulder.
"I bet wherever she is, she will be happy."
"You think so?" I ask as she pulls me closer.
"I know so." My friend whispers as I wrap my arms around her neck tighter.
Astrana… I'm sorry.
Astrana's POV:
Adrian…
I close my eyes for a few minutes. Someone very important and close to him. Who could she be?
Someone close and important… My eyes widen as a thought flies into my mind. Could she be a past love? It all makes sense now! Someone very close and important not to mention his world.
I let out a soft sigh looking at him. His eyes shut with his calm disposition as always but his body language says otherwise. His fist is clenched tightly as I notice tears from the corner of his eyes.
Why did I ask that question? I shouldn't have made him remember past memories.
I wrap my arm gently around his shoulder and slowly pull him closer into an embrace as he opens his eyes.
"You must've loved her very much."
"Yea, I loved her." He mutters as I pat his shoulder softly.
"I bet wherever she is, she will be happy."
"You think so?" He asks as I pull him closer wrapping both arms around his shoulders.
"I know so," I whisper as my friend wraps his arms around my neck tighter.
I rub his back softly with my eyes close. Whoever she is, she must've been really lucky.
(Pulse)
I clench my jaw as a stabbing pain course through my body like a douse of cold water pouring on my head.
(Flash):
"Lucky!"
A sigh escapes his lips as I sit on his lap. "Astrana, I have been meaning to ask. Why do you refer to me as such?"
I blink. "I mean like that's not even close to my name."
"Isn't it obvious?" I ask after a moment of staring at his light blue hair. "You're lucky. That's why I call you that."
He lets out a laugh of disbelief. "I'm lucky?"
I nod eagerly. "Yup! You always let me do whatever I want and not to mention, you resolve everything for me when I'm in trouble."
"I hardly call that lucky."
"Whatever. No matter what you say, you're lucky! Most importantly, you're my Lucky!" I hug him tightly as he ruffles my hair.
(Flash)
I blink at what I just saw. That's the second time I saw that 'Lucky' person.
What's his relationship with me? Why was I sitting on his lap?
And we were in a fancy-looking room… a mansion or something like that.
Why couldn't I see his face? All I can make out was light blue hair.
"Who are you?" I mutter out loud as my friend breaks the embrace and looks at me in confusion.
"Who's who?"
Whoops. "Ah," I let out a laugh and poke his cheek. "It's nothing."
My gaze shifts to a white gardenia flower. Hm…
"Say, Adrikins?" I turn my head to my friend to find him not there. He was here just a second ago…!
My head snaps to the gardenia to find it missing. What the? I blink and rub my eyes. Did someone buy it already?
Turn around for a second and it's gone. Now he's gone as well. Great…
My eyes open and gasp at the gardenia in front of my face. What?
"Here," My friend said with a gentle smile as I stare at him with my open hanging open a bit.
He hands me the flower. "You're probably wondering why I brought this for you right?"
I nod as he chuckles. "You've been eyeing it for a while now so I figured why not gift it to you as a gift?"
He noticed? I shoot up like a rocket and throw myself at him as he staggers a bit.
"Yay!" I wrap my arm around his neck as his eyes widen.
"A-Amber?"
"You're an Angel, you know that?"
My friend blinks and tilts his head. "An Angel?"
I nod happily as I look at him. "Yea, no one has ever been this nice to me besides my dad. You're the first person to gift me something so you're an Angel."
My friend laughs as he ruffles my hair and sits down with my arms still wrapped around his neck. "So I'm an Angel?"
"Yea!"
"Alrighty." He pulls me closer by the shoulder with a smile.
"I'm going to miss this," I said quietly as I remove my arms from his neck and grips his hand tightly.
"Why?" He asks in confusion. Should I tell him about the marriage? It wouldn't hurt, right?
I sigh deeply. "I'm getting married soon."
"Congratulations! You must be very happy" He flashes a smile looking at me. How I wish I was happy.
I scoff. "How I wish I was happy." I mutter as he blinks.
"Is it an arranged marriage?" My friend asks after a moment of silence. How does he know?
"Yea," I reply. "How did you know?"
He chuckles bitterly. "What a coincidence. I'm getting married soon too."
My eyes widen at his words. "Really?!"
He nods. "Plus, it's an arranged marriage with a woman that I haven't met yet."
Wow… what are the odds of that?
"What are the chances of that happening to us?"
"I know right?" He said with an exasperated sigh. "I don't even know her."
"Same, I don't even know him. How am I supposed to be happy when I don't even know a single thing about the man?"
"My thoughts exactly!"
Why are arranged marriages a thing? They forcefully bond two people for a common goal. That is a political issue.
"If I could get married to you, that would be great," I mutter as he looks at me in shock.
"Amber… um…"
"Hey, don't misunderstand," I said calmly as I can feel my face heat up. "You're my friend so at least that's better than a stranger. Plus, I know you."
"You seem to forget that we met only yesterday."
"Yet, I feel like I knew you since forever ago," I said as he nods.
"True… I also feel like I have known you since years ago…" Perhaps I have met him before?
"What if the person I end up marrying has multiple mistresses and abuses me or something?" I exclaim fearfully. Then I would be doomed to a life of torture!
Oh god, what have I gotten myself into?
"Is he of a high position?" My friend asks as he looks at me. "What's his name? I might know him."
Uh-oh. OF COURSE, if I say The Prince, he would know him. Uh…
I giggle nervously. "I forgot but he's in a really high position."
"A high position…" He mutters as I gulp nervously. If that happens… if he finds out that I've been lying to him… I don't even want to know what will happen.
"But enough about me, what about you? Who will you be marrying?"
He seems to be caught off guard with my question as he laughs and rubs the back of his neck. "Oh um…"
"Hm…" I gaze at him with an examining gaze. "Whoever you're soon to be wife is, she must be lucky."
My friend blinks. "Why do you say that?"
"Because you're good-looking," I said casually as I latch on his arm.
He ruffles my hair with a smile as I pout and remove his hand. "Hey! You're messing up my hair."
My friend rolls his eyes playfully while stifling a laugh. "Whoops, my humblest apologies, Princess." He teases as I giggle.
"Since you apologize, Hm… I suppose you can be forgiven." Might as well play along then.
"Thank you, Princess."
I hold back a giggle as I look at him. "Under one condition."
"What might that be?"
Hmm… what should I have him do?
"Give me a piggyback ride!" I exclaim as he blinks.
His butler runs out of a corner and gapes at my request. "How dare you order him to-"
"Waltari, that's enough."
He looks at his master in shock. "But My Lord-"
"It's fine." He smiles slightly. "Stand down and don't interfere."
He lets a breath of defeat. "As you wish, My Lord." He slowly eyes me and retreats at a distance.
Perhaps it wasn't such a good request. He hails from nobility. One misstep and I don't even know how I died!
"Um… if you're not-"
My friend crouches down in front of me. "Get on."
I blink and slowly got on wrapping my arms securely around his neck. "You don't have to-"
"Hold on." He stands up as I hold him tighter.
"Your butler is right. You don't have to-"
"Ahh!" I hold his neck tighter as he starts walking.
"A little warning next time would help," I said as he chuckles.
"I said hold on, didn't I?" True.
"By the way, what is the name of the woman you're marrying?"
"I forgot." He said after a moment. "I don't care for this marriage so why should I remember her name?"
I frown as I poke his cheek making him glance back at me. "That's a little harsh don't you think? Even though you don't care for the marriage, you can't change the fact that she's marrying you."
"But I didn't ask her to marry me."
"Yes, but think of it from her perspective. Getting married to a stranger for political reasons must have her devastated."
"You're right but that's what arranged marriages are. Everyone has a role to play in this world and it's up to us to play that role."
A sigh escapes my lips. "You really don't like this arranged marriage."
"Duh. Who would like an arranged marriage?"
"You're getting married for crying out loud. Stop being so negative about this."
He sighs. "How am I supposed to be happy about this?"
"Perhaps, she will turn out super pretty and graceful," I said trying to change his mood. "I say that's a perfect fit for you."
"Yeah right." His tone drips with sarcasm. "At this point, I'm hoping that she wouldn't be too clingy or needy."
"Oh come on, look at the bright side!" I try again.
"There is no bright side to this. The only bright side is political."
I gently smack the back of his head. "Hey!" He exclaims loudly.
"Try to be positive about this whole thing."
"If you say that, are you saying you're excited about marrying a stranger?" My friend exclaims in disbelief.
"What? Of course not. I'm saying to look at the bright side and don't be so negative."
"I'm being realistic. There is no bright side besides the political aspect."
"Besides, what if she turns out to be clingy, needy, and affectionate?" He shudders as I stifle a laugh. I guess he doesn't like clingy people.
"What's wrong with being affectionate?" I ask curiously.
"Nothing is but when affection comes from the wrong people. That is what I don't like."
Ohhhh… that makes better sense.
"So if a stranger comes up and hugs you, you wouldn't like it?"
"I would not." He replies instantly.
"But you're carrying me right now."
"Huh?"
"I was a stranger until yesterday yet here you are, carrying me and being affectionate."
"You're different." He mutters as I raised a brow. Huh?
My friend clears his throat. "Anyway-"
"Pardon the intrusion, My Lord." His butler suddenly shows up beside us startling me. Where did he come from?
"Yes?"
"I believe it's time to head back."
I frown. Already? This might be the last chance I get to see him.
My friend stays quiet as he crouches down. I got off him slowly.
Why doesn't time stop? I don't want him to leave.
"Amber?"
"Hm?"
He holds my hand gently and bit his lip. "There's something I have to tell you."
"There's something I have to tell you as well," I said looking into his eyes.
He turns a bit. "Waltari."
The butler got the message and retreats, leaving us alone.
"I'm getting married tomorrow." He mutters as my eyes widen. Tomorrow?
"I'm also getting married tomorrow."
My friend's eyes widen. "Tomorrow?!"
I nod. "Yea, who would've thought that we would get married on the same day." I force out a laugh as he strains a smile.
"Yea, what are the chances?"
A brief period of quietness passes through us as I gulp with a lump in my throat.
"This might be the last chance I get to meet you." I choke out as he pulls me into an embrace. Tears fall onto his shirt as I shut my eyes. Why is the wedding date so soon?
I'm doing this to find my family but the thought of not seeing him hurts.
He rubs my back lightly. "It's going to be okay." He whispers as I choke holding back a sob.
"How is it going to be okay? I probably won't get to see you again!"
My friend pulls back as he holds my shoulders looking at me. "Even if we never see each other again, we still have memories of our time together."
"Every time I miss you, I will look back on those memories." He whispers as he dries my tears with his thumbs.
Why does it hurt so much?
"It won't be the same." I sniffle holding back more tears from showing.
"I know it won't be the same but things in life are ever-changing. We can't refuse our marriages so why not do the best to live our lives?"
"We have to accept it."
"I don't want to accept it though," I mutter with my hand shaking a bit. "I don't want to not see you again, Adrikins."
He places his hand on mine. "Amberline, it's not like we won't ever get to see each other again."
Yes, but… "Someone once told me, if you believe very hard in something, it will come true." He said softly.
"What I'm trying to say is, you have to believe that we will meet again, that way, it will someday be true."
I gulp as I wrap my arms around his waist. "Is that true?"
My friend strokes my hair lightly. "Belief is a powerful thing."
I take a breath to steady myself as he kisses the top of my head. "I will remember you."
"I will always remember you as well, Adrian."
I pull back from his chest and kiss his cheek as tears fall. "I love you."
He blinks as his mouth curves upwards and pulls me closer by the shoulder. "I love you too."
My arms hug him tightly as I can not want to lose this warm sensation of love that I missed all these years.
"Can you not go?" I ask after a few minutes of standing there.
My friend pats my head. "It's not like we won't ever get to see each other again."
I nod reluctantly. "I guess you're right."
He places his hand on top of my head. "If you miss me, look at the gardenia that I gifted you."
And I still have the light orb. "Adrikins," I hug him tightly. "I will miss you."
He pats my shoulder. "I will miss you as well, my little sister."
Little sister… I bury my head in his chest, wrapping my arms around his waist even tighter. "I will miss you as well, older brother."
Astral's POV:
My heart beats faster at the sight before me. I slowly stood up from the table not taking my eyes off of her once. Holy moly…
Her soft dark wavy hair effortless drapes on a stunning white, off-the-shoulder dress v neck scoop back with red rose floral print. The dress accentuates her curves to a slim fit, revealing her cleavage ending near her mid-thigh. To top it off, she's wearing a pair of white high heels and dangly earrings.
My love blinks making her luminous eyes stand out even more as I walk closer with a gulp. She's breathtaking…
A strand of hair covers her right eye as I reach and tuck it behind her ear. Her face turns red as my lips curve upwards.
"I haven't seen you all day."
"Me neither." Her soft melodic tone rings throughout my ears as the familiar scent of vanilla hits my nostrils.
My arms gently pull her into a hug as she shuts her eyes. "I missed you."
"I missed you as well."
Out of the corner of my eye, my friends and family along with her parents all mouthed good luck as they returned to their respective rooms.
"Good luck!" Star whispers as I shoot her a thumbs up.
I pull away looking at the beauty in front of me. "How was the day without me?"
"It was interesting." She replies as I raise a brow.
"How?"
"I was dragged from store to store all day while you were nowhere to be found." She mutters as I stifle a laugh. "Probably somewhere fun."
Fun? If only you knew. Looks like they kept their end of the bargain. "Was shopping bad?"
"It wasn't really bad. It was quite an experience especially considering those guys…"
Those guys? "What are you talking about?"
She smiles cupping my cheek. "It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
She's hiding something. "Ok," Is this the right time to do it? Hm…
Amethyst eyes look at me with concern. "Are you okay? You look conflicted."
Liliana's POV:
"Careful,"
"Hey, are we there yet?"
"Almost,"
I whine and try to remove his hand. "Astral!"
He chuckles. "No peeking."
Where is he taking me?
Upstairs? "Careful of the steps."
Yup. He's taking me upstairs. The scent of rose petals fills my nostrils as we walk down the hallway. "Honey, where are you taking me?"
"Be patient. You will see soon enough."
"What's the surprise?"
I heard the door open as he removes his hands. "Don't open your eyes just yet, my love."
Footsteps walk away from me as I kept them shut. Why is he being so secretive?
Do I smell vanilla? Huh… strange. Even if it's from my perfume, it shouldn't radiate around the room like this. Hm… where is it coming from?
"You can look now."
My eyes slowly opened and the first thing I saw was my beloved.
He was standing directly across from me, leaning against the foot of the bed. I met his gaze and he held it for a few minutes before smiling softly.
And it was then that I realized that he had a glow about him. Why does he have a soft hue about him?
I snap my gaze from him and look around the room, and my heart stops then beat erratically as my eyes widen. Candles?
The orange hue illuminated the room majestically. Small ones covered the dressers and tables, while larger ones in varying candelabras that stood from a foot off the ground covered the ground. The only clear walking spaces were to the bed and the closed restroom door. Among all of the candles were pink and red rose petals. They littered the ground in spontaneity creating a beautiful, majestic view. The subtle scent of roses was beautiful in combination with the vanilla-scented candles that make my heart skip a beat.
T-This… My eyes drift to the walls covered in twinkling fairy lights. The luminosity of it shines brightly around the room as they hang from the ceiling.
"A-Astral…" My heart hammers as I took in the majestic fairy tale view in front of me. H-How did he…
"H-How did you…"
I scan the room in shock with tears glistening falling down my cheeks. "You remembered?"
He holds my hands gently. "Of course, I remembered."
(Flash):
"Hey, this is a strange question but if a guy were to propose to you someday, where would you like it to be and what would it include?" My friend asks randomly as I shot him a look.
"Why on earth would you ask me that?" I raised a brow in confusion as he sat next to me on the couch. "We're only ten years old. Are you thinking of marrying someone already?"
He burst out laughing. "Marriage? No no no. You misunderstand, Lily."
I tilt my head. "Why else would you go around asking that question?"
"Remember a few days ago when we attended a wedding?"
My eyes widen. "Ohh… so that's why?"
He nods. "Yea. The bride said something about the engagement being so romantic…"
"Speaking of which, what's an engagement?"
I shrug. "I don't know but my father said that it's a highly important thing that happens before a wedding."
"Yup, my parents said the same thing."
"You were asking out of curiosity weren't you?"
"Mhm."
A brief period of silence passed between us as I thought long and hard about his question. Hm…
"Well, I would like it to be in a room. The ground will be scattered in rose petals while candles light up the room in an orange hue creating a romantic effect." I explain as I place a hand under my chin. "I would also like twinkling fairy lights to hang from the walls and ceiling for a fairy tale vibe."
"Wow… you're demanding."
"Hey!" I smack his head as he looks at me in shock.
"You dare hit me?" He exclaims with his jaw-dropping as I giggle.
"You betcha I did."
A finger pokes my cheek. "Man, I feel really bad for your husband later on in life." He mutters as I shoot him a glare. Why this little prince!
My eyes narrow as I pinch his arm as he hisses. "Ow!" He quickly pulls it away rubbing that spot gently. "See? This is what I mean? You're only ten yet you're already this violent!"
"Hmph," I cross my arms with a pout. "You deserved it."
"What I say is the truth."
"The truth huh?" My eye twitches as I lean closer. "I feel bad for anyone that has to be your wife in the future."
"Why would that be?"
"Because she will have to put up with you and your face forever and ever!"
A gasp escapes his lips as a look of shock appears. "Hey, what's wrong with my face? Mind you, people say that I'm cute everywhere I go." They're not wrong. He is pretty cute I guess.
"You know what, for a prince, you're pretty rude."
"Excuse me?!" His eyes narrow onto mine with a glare. "You were the one who pinched me."
"But you were the one who was rude first!" I countered meeting his glare.
"What is going on here?" A voice booms as we freeze. Uh-oh... I cautiously turn my head to meet the adults standing by the doorway with their arms crossed. I'm dead!
"Mother," My friend points at me. "She hit me!"
"Oh, pin the blame all on me." I stare at my mother. "Don't believe him. True, I hit him but I had a very good reason."
My father raises a brow. "Mind telling us what the reason is?"
"He insulted me." I furrow my brows and he sticks out his tongue. "He said that he feels bad for whoever wants to marry me later on in life."
"If I'm not mistaken, you said that you would feel bad for my wife as well." My friend said with a smirk. "Father, she insulted the prince!"
"You insulted me first!"
"I was only saying the truth."
I scoff. "The truth? Now I really feel bad for your wife. Having to deal with you every day is torture to its finest."
His eyes widen. "You take that back!"
"It's only the truth, my friend."
"I'm willing to bet that no one will marry such a violent lady as you."
"And I'm willing to bet no one will marry such a rude person as you!"
"Why you-"
"I what?" I lean closer with my face inches apart from his.
"You're so illogical."
"Oh, yea! Well, you're so rude!"
"Kids, please stop arguing." His mother interrupts as I back away from him.
"Seriously," My mother sighs clutching her head. "Every time you meet, you argue. Don't you ever get tired?"
I place my hand under my chin. "Tired?" I glance at my friend who is sipping his water. "Astral, do you get tired of arguing?"
He blinks and tilts his head. "Nope. It's a good activity to participate in."
His father's face contorts into disbelief. "Really?"
"Yup!"
"Psst, arguing is fun?"
"I don't know."
"Our kids are really something else."
"At least your son's showing his emotions more."
"Yes, that's an upside but through arguing?"
"And what is this about marriage?"
"You ask me, who should I ask?"
The adults whisper among themselves occasionally glancing back at us. "Do they forget that we can hear them?"
My friend shrugs and clears his throat. "What would the person be doing?"
"Person?"
"The person who will give you the ring."
"Um… I don't know but if it's anything like the movie we watched a few days ago, he will get down on one knee and open a ring box."
"Then what?"
I frown. "I don't know. We got caught sneaking so my parents paused the movie before I could see what happened next."
"Yea, I remember they were standing very close to each other though."
"I wonder why though?"
"For me, I would never let anyone stand that close to me."
I roll my eyes. "You and your personal space."
"Anyway, he would kneel and give me a ring."
He nods with a calculating gaze. "Makes logical sense but there's one thing I don't get."
"And that is?"
"Why is it a ring of all things? Like what's so special about a ring that the guy has to give one to her?"
"I guess it symbolizes something…" My eyes widen as a thought flies into my head. "I got it!"
"Huh?"
"At the wedding, the groom and bride exchange rings to symbolize their love for each other."
"Yea, I know that but why rings specifically?"
I don't know… I shrug as he sighs once more. "Also, why does the one who's proposing have to kneel on one knee?"
He's really curious about this. "I don't know."
"Hey, kids?" My father asks as we turn towards him. "Why are you talking about marriage?"
"Astral wants to get married!"
My friend's eyes widen. "What?! No, I was asking for curiosity."
"Mhm... sure..."
"What's with that tone?"
I tilt my head and lean closer as he backs away. Time to tease him a bit for payback! "That wasn't the only reason you asked that question, right?"
"Huh?"
"Tell me, you have a crush, don't you?"
My friend blinks blankly as a hand pushes me away by the forehead. "No. Did you forget we're ten?"
"Love doesn't have an age limit," I scoff as I hold his hand. "So, who's your crush?"
"I don't have one."
My eyes narrow. Hm... "Are you sure that you don't like anyone?"
"I like my friends and family."
"That's not what I mean." I groan with a hand sliding down my face. "I mean romantically. Do you like anyone romantically?"
He raises a brow in confusion. "Romantically? Like kissing and going on dates?"
"Yup!"
He makes a face of disgust. "Yuck. Count me out."
"Why? Is it that bad?"
"Yes! The kissing is like swapping spit with another person." He shivers a bit. "And that's not even the worst part of it."
"What's the worst part?"
My friend blinks. "You don't know?"
"Ahem, son," His father comes over to us and kneels to his level. "What do you mean by 'that's not even the worst part'?"
He gives his father a confused look. "Why are you asking, Father? Shouldn't you already know since you're married?" Hah? What on earth is he talking about?
The adults glance at one another. "I don't know," He said calmly. "May you remind me?"
"You know, sleeping with another person."
His mother comes over and holds his hand. "Ok, I need you to tell me where on earth did you learn about that sort of thing."
"Isn't it standard knowledge?"
"Wait, Enna let's not jump to conclusions." His father said as he takes a breath. "Can you clarify what you mean?"
"Father, why are you acting so peculiar?"
"Am I?" He chuckles ruffling his hair as he makes a face.
"Not the hair!"
"Now, Astral, can you clarify what you mean?" His mother chimes in as he nods.
"A woman and a man sharing the same bed."
Their faces pale as I shoot him a confused look. "That's the worst part? But we share the same bed sometimes as well."
"Yeah, but we are kids so it's fine."
"So... are you saying that when we grow up, we can no longer share a bed?" My lips curve downwards as I hold his hand. "But you're my teddy bear!"
He pats my head gently with a smile. "Astral," His mother calls out as my friend looks at her. "Where did you learn such a thing?"
"Where did I learn sleeping?" He raises a brow with a confused expression. "It's a natural process."
She laughs a bit. "What your mother means is where did you learn about a woman and a man sharing the same bed?"
He blinks blankly at his parents. "Why are you two asking me so many questions today?"
She sighs with a smile. "Honey, did someone tell you that information?"
"No one told me. I saw it in a movie."
They look at each other as my father clears his throat. "And what movie was that?"
"Titanic."
The adult's eyes all widen as they stare at us. "Lily, remember that part when the ship sunk?"
I nod solemnly. "It was so sad."
"Titanic?!" My mother exclaims loudly as I flinch. "You're only ten. Why on earth would you watch that?"
"I was curious." My friend said sipping his water as they stare at him in shock.
"We shouldn't be watching that?" I ask as my father sighs and sits next to me.
"That movie is not suitable for kids your age." He begins gently.
"Why? I find it to have a good story plot."
"It's also rated PG-13." My mother chimes in as I giggle.
"Don't worry, Mother." I swing my arm around his shoulder pulling him closer with a smile. "My best friend took the liberty and skipped all of the inappropriate scenes."
"Thank goodness." The adults let out a breath of relief. "So, you two didn't see anything inappropriate right?"
"Well, I wouldn't say that." He states calmly removing my arm. "I did hear some vulgar language use and witness some of the female anatomies but nothing too graphic."
The adults stare at him speechless. "Eliphas, revoke his electronics."
"You don't have to tell me twice." He holds out his hand with a stern look. "Hand them over, young man."
"Father, I told you, I skipped all of the inappropriate parts."
"But still, a ten-year-old shouldn't be exposed to that movie." My mother said gently as she direct her gaze on me. "And you, did you see anything inappropriate?" She's angry.
I shake my head. "No, he covered my eyes and skipped it before I could even catch a glimpse of it."
"Astral, hand them over." His father repeated as my friend sighed.
"I don't get why you're getting so worked up." He summons his tablet and laptop.
(Flash)
That was 8 years ago yet he still remembers?
I stand in a heart-shaped ring made from pink and red rose petals that's big enough to accommodate the two of us. "I can't believe that you remembered my words when I was 10 years old." A laugh escapes my lips as he chuckles.
"Of course, I would remember."
"Now I understand why your father was so angry about us watching that movie."
"But it was a fantastic movie."
I nod. "Yes, it was but it was not suitable for ten-year-olds that's for sure."
His lips curve upwards. "Remember at the ending when you cried?"
I giggle and peck his lips. "Thankfully you were there to comfort me."
He pokes my nose. "I still remembered that you gripped onto my shirt sobbing refusing to let go."
"Hahaha… can you blame me, there were a lot of dead bodies."
My beloved shift his gaze and fidgets with his ring. Why is he nervous?
"Baby?"
"Liliana," My love begins softly with a gulp. "You've always been there, you've always been the one person I could turn to and who understands me. I love you more than I could ever explain, but I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore."
My heart stops as a sense of dread courses through my body. W-What? Did he just say… I… don't… want… to… be… your… boyfriend… anymore… My vision wavers as warm salty tears drip onto the carpet. H-He just said… "A-Are you b-breaking up with me?" I manage to choke out as my throat constricts reducing my airflow as my breathing labors.
My darling's eyes widen as he immediately cups my cheeks wiping the tears away with his thumbs. "No, I… you misunderstand!" He exclaims hastily as I sniffle. "Darn it, those guys are the worst wingmen ever." He mutters staring into my eyes.
"T-Then why would you say such a thing?" I ask after a moment as he takes a deep breath.
"Liliana, you have been my best friend and my greatest support these past 12 years. I can't imagine not having your compassionate hand to hold and your kind heart to care for. You are such a selflessly giving person and I'm so grateful to have you in my life."
"I've always known that as a prince, I have very limited choices when it comes to marriage and whom I marry. I was thinking of not ever getting married at one point but you changed my way of thought."
"You're the only one who managed to touch my heart in a way that no one else could and will always have a place that is irreplaceable." My love lets go of my cheeks and slowly gets down on one knee. I-Is this what I think it is?
Luminous silver and gold eyes stare at my purples lovingly. "Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
His wife… as in… getting married? To be the partner of a prince? To be the one and only Princess consort? A member of the royal family? Am I hallucinating?! Perhaps the fumes from the chemicals in the hairspray is getting to my brain and I started to hear things. There's no way…
My throat locks as my voice trembles. More tears flow down my face as he opens the box revealing a large luminous diamond ring that shines brightly.
This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong-set atop a crisscross, split shank, with marquise diamond accents on the shoulders. It's a classically-inspired design that integrates organic elements with the traditional diamonds to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece. There are three diamonds in this ring, with the largest being a round brilliant cut coming in at exactly 12 carats.
Oh my goodness… it's majestically beautiful! I can't even describe how beautiful and elegant it is. A large solitaire diamond that shines like a star in the night sky. The twisted shank covered in tiny diamonds adds to its beauty and elegance of it. Plus, the symbolism of the infinity twist. It's breathtaking! Wait… he's actually presenting me with a ring… that means…
I'm not hallucinating after all. He actually is proposing… My lip curves upward as I wipe the tears away with the back of my hand. Calm down. I sniffle while trying to blink the tears away. Take a deep breath, Liliana. That's it. Just calm down.
"What is wrong with you?!" I blink the tears away wiping them with the back of my hand. "Do you enjoy scaring me?" A sob escapes my lips as my legs give out and tackle him into a tight embrace. This isn't a dream, right?
"Is that a yes?"
My beloved's eyes look a me with a hopeful shine as I bite the inside of my lip. I… is that a yes? I… don't… what if this is just a spur of the moment thing from him? Then again, it could be just because I could give him an heir, not because he loves me.
"Lily?" A soft voice rings out through the room as I blink. The man in front of me sports a look of concern mixed with nervousness as I stay silent.
No! Stop thinking like this, Lily! He loves me. He told me multiple times that he loves me. I have absolutely no reason to doubt him but why? Why do I keep thinking like this?
"Do you…" His voice lowers to a whisper as I can see moisture forming in the corners of his luminous eyes. "Not want to become… my princess consort?"
I do but… will I be able to handle the responsibilities? I mean, what do princess consorts do anyway? They support the Prince. Right. But what if I fail at that? What if his feelings change? What if someone better comes along and steals him from me? What will I do then?
"I…" I gulp as I grit my teeth. What do I do? What is the correct choice in this situation? Will he regret marrying me later on? If that happens… I don't know if I can handle it.
The guy on his knee shuts his eyes letting out a soft sigh. "Forgive me," He opens his eyes a moment later, his voice barely audible as he closes the ring box slowly.
What…?
"I was only thinking about myself and failing to consider your thoughts." His gaze fixes on the ground as his voice grows a bit shaky. "I apologize for putting you on the spot."
Wait… does he think that I will…!
"It's late." He gets up still not looking at me gripping the box tightly. "Get some rest."
No!
"Astral,"
My hands cup his cheeks as I seal the distance between us. His eyes widen as I feel an arm pull me closer as our scents mingle. Our tongues dance with each other as we disconnect our lips. "Does that answer your question, my beloved?"
That's right. What was I so worried about? All of those problems are minuscule compared to not having him beside me. As long as I have him beside me, I'm confident I can take on any challenges ahead!
The guy in front of me blinks blankly pulling me close burying his head in my neck. "Don't ever ever do that to me again." A whisper rings through my ears as he presses his body against mine.
My lips curve into a light smile. "Your wish is my command, my fiancé."
My beloved removes the ring that I already have on and switches it to my other hand as he carefully and slowly slid the stunning engagement ring up my finger with a gentle gaze making my heart flutter as tears glisten again.
"I love everything about you." He mutters softly as I claim his lips tenderly.
His lips are warm and soft against mine as he presses his body against mine. The warmth of his body makes my heart pound as I nibble a bit on his lower lip making a tiny growl escape. Our hands roam. He cards through the length of my hair as my fingers roam his chest.
I pull him even closer as we made our way to the bed carefully stepping out of the ring of flowers. He lowers me gently on the edge of the bed with my back arched up against it, kissing my lips hungrily.
My beloved pulls back for a moment panting with his eyes full of desire. "I thought you would say no."
My eyes widen. "Why would you think that?"
Actually… the hesitation… no wonder he thought that.
"Remember when we were kids? I specifically remember that you said you feel bad for my future wife."
I burst out laughing. "Well, I do feel bad for your future wife. Not many people can put up with your rational and business-like personality."
He smirks running his thumb against my lips as I shiver. "And not everyone can put up with your violent, impulsive, and emotional personality either, my darling."
My lips draw into a pout. "Are you insulting me right now?"
His smooth fingers caress my face with a loving smile. "Quite the opposite, I love every part of your personality. The good and bad." My love leans closer until our foreheads touch as my heart thumps violently. "Because to me, you're perfect… just the way you are." He whispers as I blink with tears glistening for the hundredth time today. Oh god, stop crying. This is not a crying moment.
"Who says that I'm going to marry you?" I sniffle as his thumbs wipe away my tears.
"Oh?" A smirk crosses his lips. "Looks like you will be forever lonely then."
"Hey!"
"It's the truth," My love blinks innocently. "I doubt that anyone can handle your strong personality besides me."
"Cocky much?"
He chuckles. "It's the truth, my baby."
"Plus," His lips kiss my hand. "You're wearing the engagement ring I customized." Hm…
"But I can still change my decision." I throw him a smirk as his eyes widen.
"Liliana, the moment I placed that ring on your finger," His warm breath tickles my nose as the orange hue from the candles makes his handsome face glow. "You're mine."
His lips kiss my forehead as he stares into my amethyst eyes. "Can you repeat your answer?"
Seriously? My face flushes as I pull him closer. "Yes, my fiancé. My answer will forever be yes."
My heart rate accelerates as he brushes his lips against mine softly closing our eyes. Like a butterfly, his lips delicately touch mine making my heart pound at the new sensation of the gentle kiss. This kiss…
My knees feel like jelly as he continues with the sensual lip-lock between us. An involuntary shiver courses through me as he runs his tongue against my lips.
I part my mouth open for him to slip in his warm tongue and dance. Another soft moan takes over as he growls softly. I can feel his member harden against my thigh which arouses me even more.
"I finally get to refer to you as my fiancée." He whispers as he pulls back staring into my eyes with a gentle and loving smile.
My heart thumps. I trace my hand along his chest unbuttoning his shirt slowly as I giggle with a blush seeping to my face.
"And I finally can refer to you as my fiancé as well."
Let's see… I flutter my lashes at him, pulling him closer until our lips are inches apart. He starts to seal the distance as I smirk. Yes!
Immediately, I pin him down against the bed as his eyes widen. A chuckle escapes his kissable lips. "You want to lead this time?" He whispers as I lean closer with a wink.
Astral's POV:
Her lips trail my neck as she slowly takes off my shirt. I resist a growl as I caress her waist pulling her closer, rubbing her body against mine slowly as a soft moan escapes her pretty lips.
Our eyes slowly shut as we seal the gap. Her lips brush against mine gently like a butterfly's wings, ever so delicately making me want more. The scent of intoxicating vanilla fills my nostrils as she pulls away. How on earth can a kiss get me so aroused?
I lean closer as she smiles and places a hand on my lip. "Not now."
Huh?
I tilt my head in confusion. "I have a surprise for you." She exclaims softly kissing my cheek as she walks and picks up a bag near my closet and locks the restroom door.
A surprise?
A minute later, the restroom door unlocks and my eyes widen. She stands just a few feet away, wearing a black, lacy, see-through negligee that was tied into a little silk bow at the front with matching panties, and no bra. She blushes shyly, shifting her weight from foot to foot nervously.
Oh my gosh… My heart quickens as I stand up not once leaving her body.
"Do you like it?" She asks with a shy smile not meeting my gaze.
"Where… Where did you get that?" I ask as I snap from my shock. A blush crawls to her cheeks.
"I got it from an adult store downtown." She admits embarrassedly, "It took me forever, but I wanted to do something special for you, so I got this one." She looks up at me batting her eyes innocently. "Do you like it?"
"Like it?" I ask with a dark, lusty smirk. I grasp her shoulders and lean down so my face is just in front of hers, "I love it." I smash my lips on hers fiercely.
As our kisses become more intense, her hands roam my chest in various strokes causing me to stifle a moan as I undid the buckle to my belt to take off my pants. Once they had fallen to the ground, she pulls away, a line of saliva connecting our mouths.
I take a step back to admire the beautiful and seductive sight in front of me as a crimson shade of red appears on her cheeks. She looks…
"Astral…" My darling mutters coyly shifting her weight from her legs avoiding my gaze.
Her eyes widen as I scoop her into my arms suddenly carrying her to bed. "You're gorgeous, my fiancée." Fiancée… she's my fiancée! Yes!
Her heart hammers as I wave my arms to close the canopy curtains, staring at her as her face grows beet red.
"Let's not waste a single second of this night, honey." I lean down towards her ear with my lips roaming her neck as she shudders.
My hands slowly reach for the bow, keeping the negligee's front together when a thought flies into my mind. "Did you take the pill?"
A smile flashes on her face as she claims my lips suddenly thrusting her tongue into my mouth roaming. I'm assuming that's a yes. My hands pull on the bow making it open up as I knead her breast roughly with a smirk.
Moans rang throughout the room as I wave an arm to place the sound barrier. She mewls in pleasure as her toes curl and squirm underneath me.
"A-Ahhh, Astral!"
A hand slips into her panties as she gasps at the sudden penetrating of my fingers.
"Oh my god!"
My fiancée groans as I finger her deep and faster than before. She digs her nails into my shoulder blades with her eyes half-lidded in pleasure.
"A-Astral!"
My other hand massages her breast until it got erect. My tongue trails down to her chest and swirls it around her areoles sucking it with my slippery desire. My love arches her back gripping my back pressing my body closer to her as she moans loudly.
"God, Astral!"
"Don't stop!"
My hands move quickly as I smirk trailing my tongue all across her sexy body. Such a beautiful Angel.
With an arm wave, I toss the negligee onto the ground as my hands and eyes got full access to her body.
My love, panting from my actions earlier, looks at me as I slip her panties off with a smirk.
"Honey, you're so wet." I tease as I slowly stroke her clit making her breathing ragged.
"That's… your fault." She pants still trying to catch her breath as I position myself licking her clit.
"Oh-Ahhhh, Astral!"
A sharp and lustful gaze emits from her eyes as she did her best to pin me down on the bed.
"Baby?" I did my best to feign innocence as she smirks.
My heart thumps rapidly as she pulls down my boxers and caresses my member making me grip the sheets as a wave of pleasure flows through.
"L-Liliana!"
I clench my jaw as she continues playing with it with a seductive smirk upon her lips.
"You can't do all of it. That's not how this works." My fiancée winks and claims my lips as a growl emits from the back of my throat. My member hardens as she slowly strokes it with little touches enjoying herself.
I nibble on her lips as she breaks the kiss between us. Her hands trail upwards towards my chest playing with my erect nipples swirling her tongue slowly as my member hardens against her thigh even more.
"Mmm… Liliana!" A moan escape as she giggles making her hand movements faster as I grip the sheets until my knuckles turn white at the intense electricity of her actions.
I will not succumb to her! I manage to pin her down breathing heavily.
"I won't fall so easily, my darling."
She laughs pulling me closer. "I know, that's what I like about you, my beloved."
A smile graces my face as I peck her lips. "Your lips are delicious."
Her face turns crimson as I poke her cheek. "Awww, you're adorable."
"How can you say something like that?"
"Because it's the truth, my fiancée."
We stare at each other as I lean closer. The intoxicating scent of vanilla, the warmth radiating from her body makes me lose all composure as my lips smash into hers passionately tilting our heads and opening our mouths wider.
A soft moan fills my ears as my hands stroke her clit. Her body tenses at my touch arching her back against the bed pulling me closer and stroking my member.
My breath hitches as it pokes her thigh. Another groan escapes her lips as she takes my lower lip in between her teeth making me whine at the new sensation.
We slowly pull back laying our foreheads together. "During the wedding tomorrow, I don't want to see your lips touch hers."
"Don't worry, I have a plan."
"What's your plan?"
"I spoke with the marriage officiant. We will stand very close so that it looks like our lips are touching but in actuality, my lips will not be touching hers in any way."
"Will she agree to it?"
"This is a political marriage. I doubt that she wants to kiss a stranger she just met."
"But you will be standing very close… surely if you wanted to kiss her you can do so without any objection." She mutters bitterly.
"You do have a point. It's my wedding day tomorrow so, in theory, a kiss is ought to be happening to seal the marriage."
My beloved shoots me a glare as I chuckle. "But, the only one I want to kiss is you, baby."
"You flatter me way too much."
I stifle a laugh. "It's the truth, beautiful."
My hands caress her inner thighs, spreading them out slowly as I position myself for entrance. Her breaths grow heavier with anticipation as I hold her hands gently.
"I want you, my fiancé."
I slowly thrust in at that phrase as a moan escapes her pink lips, making her grip my shoulders tightly. Her walls welcome me as usual.
"Ahhh-Astral!"
Let's experiment a bit. My thrusts become slower moving rhythmically in and out as she tenses, breathing heavily rocking her hips to my rhythm.
"Mmmmmm-Ah, faster!"
My beloved grips my shoulders even tighter as beads of sweat drips down her forehead.
"Patience, baby."
"Ah-Oh…" She breathes heavily as I thrust deeper. "F-Faster."
A smirk crosses my face as I thrust faster making her moan loudly and grip my hair breathing heavily.
"D-Don't stop!"
"Ahhhhhh!"
My love pulls me closer rubbing her body against mine as a growl emanates from my chest.
"A-Astral, I'm about to-"
At her words, I remain stationary, not moving as she blinks and stares at me in shock. "Nooooooooo!"
"Why!" A whine escapes her delicate lips. "I was so close!"
A mischievous smile crosses my face as I start to thrust slowly increasing my rhythm with every one of her seductive moans.
"Ugh-Ahhhhh!"
"D-Don't you dare stop this t-time-Ahhhh!"
"Ohhh-Mmmmm!"
"Astral!"
Her breathing hitches as I stop yet again right before she climaxes.
"Y-You!" My love points a finger at me as I smile innocently.
"Yes, my princess?"
"You're doing this on purpose!"
I stifle a laugh as her face flush. "What would give you that idea?"
"Stop teasing me."
"Teasing? What do you mean?"
A glare of determination flickers in her eyes as she wraps her legs around my waist. "I will give you one last chance to move."
She's serious. "Move?" I ask in my best-confused tone as she narrows her eyes.
My beloved rolls on top of me start to buckle her hips with mine. A growl escapes my mouth.
"Ah, Liliana!"
My breathing hitch as I resist any noise from escaping. I imagined her on top many times but this… exceeded my expectations!
"Oh my god!"
My internal muscles clamp as pleasure flows throughout my body. "Lily, I'm about to-"
"Ahhhhh, Astral!" Her breaths labored as she arches back in pleasure exhausted from her orgasm.
Let's make this night more memorable. But how will it be… My eyes widen. Hm…
"All good?"
My love nods as she gets off me. I peck her lips and look at her. "I have a question." I start as she meets my gaze.
"Hm?"
"Want round 2?"
She giggles. "Of course, my fiancé."
I gently embrace her. "One more thing, how do you feel about handcuffs?"
Liliana's POV:
Did he just say… handcuffs?
My face flushes as a thought flies into my mind. "A-Astral!"
"Is that a yes or a no?"
My stomach flutters at the thought. Hm… it's not that I haven't thought about it before… what the? No no no no no! That's… isn't that BDSM? Handcuffs are a type of bondage and that means… I will be incapacitated letting him wield all the power.
I can feel my face heat up as he leans closer. "Baby," His warm breath tickles my nose. "Want to give it a try?"
My cores aches imagining all the possible things that he could do as I rub my thigh slowly. It's not that I haven't glossed over the thought before… but… can I really relish full control?
"As in… BDSM?" I squeak as he tilts his head side to side.
"Well, yes but bondage is a very small part of it."
Huh… "What does BDSM stand for again?"
My fiancé leans back running a hand through his locks. "It stands for bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, sadism, and masochism."
"I…I never knew you were um…-"
He chuckles shaking his head. "No no no. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I'm into these kinds of things." Really? The why do your eyes light up when you talk about it?
"I find that hard to believe,"
"I'm being serious." My body nuzzles up against his. "I'm not."
"Right…" Very convincing.
My beloved gulps as I give him an expectant stare. "Fine." He lets out a sigh. "Perhaps a bit."
"I knew it."
"But," A hand traces my lips as jolts of electricity jolt within me. "You enjoy it too, my dear."
"W-What?" My eyes widen as he smirks. "Why would you…"
(Flash):
My love bites my left nipple as I groan loudly arching my back as he thrusts faster. "So, you like it rough huh?"
I shiver as his hand slaps my bottom lightly. "Ohhhhh~" Why does this feel so good?
"You like that, don't you?"
"Ah… Yes!" My breathing hitches as he thrusts faster. His hand gives my bottom a hard squeeze as I moan. "Ohhh~ harder!"
(Smack)
"AHHH!" A scream of pleasure omits from my lips as he growls hotly. My stomach knots as the pressure inside of me builds up. "A-Astral… I-I think I'm about to-"
(Smack)
Electricity courses through my veins as he smashes into my womb. "ASTRAL!"
(Flash)
Why did I think of that?! I bury my face within my hands as my heart pounds. Is spanking a form of BDSM too? Punishment? Is that what it's called?
"Yes." A pair of lips kiss my temple as his arms wrap loosely around my body. "Spanking is a form of BDSM as well."
"I…" My mouth goes dry as I gulp. "B-But… isn't BDSM… wrong…?"
My fiancé blinks. Uh-oh! "F-Forget what I-"
"I expected this question sooner or later." A smile flash on his face. "Some people say that it's morally wrong and degrading to commit such an act. It goes against everything that intercourse stands for. Others say that when engaged in a healthy environment and between consensual partners, the thrill and psychological not to mention physical joy of it can make this act more… pleasurable."
You're not wrong there. It is more exciting than vanilla that's for sure. No no no no no! I… what on earth?! Get your thoughts out of the gutters, Lily!
"And… what do you think?"
A hand lifts my head to meet his luminous eyes. "What do I think?" I shudder as his hot breath strikes my lips. "I believe I already made my stance clear, my darling. My question to you is, what do you think about all of this?"
What do I think? Argh! Um… hm… what do I think about this? Considering that I… liked… him… spanking me… Ahhh! Stop it! No no no! It goes against societal morals!
Wait a minute, since when do I conform to society? That's right. When do I ever follow societal conventions?
"Look at me," I meet his gaze as he pecks my lips stroking my hair from my face. "I know this is a lot to take in. If you don't feel comfortable with this, that's fine. We'll stick to vanilla."
My eyes widen. "But you-"
He lets out a laugh further enveloping me in his loving embrace. "I recall saying that I won't pressure you into anything that you're hesitant about."
Well yes but… I gulp as I try to ignore the aching sensation between my legs. I feel so hot! Ugh! It's driving me insane.
Can BDSM really be a turn on for me? Why would my body react this way if it wasn't? Screw it! I need to release.
"Astral," My breathing grows heavy as I look at him.
"Yes-Mph!"
His eyes widen as my body pounces slamming my lips onto his passionately. I guide his hand to my core as I let out a sigh in relief. Oh thank goodness. My fiancé gets the message as he pulls me closer pinning me down to the bed as we part panting.
"Is all this talk about BDSM getting you worked up?" He murmurs with kisses trailing my jaw.
"Do you even have to ask?" I hold in a moan as my toes curl.
"So, I'm assuming you're willing?"
Am I willing to give this a try? Hm… His tongue moves to my neck as my core pulses even more. If this is a turn on then why not?
"I-I'm willing." My fiancé's eyes meet mine as I lay there dripping wet underneath his piercing gaze. There's no mistaking this feeling. I'm definitely aroused at this BDSM thing.
"Are you sure?" His demeanor switches to caring. "The last thing I want is-"
"I want you so much right now," I whisper running my fingers along his abs. "It's driving me insane, my beloved."
His fist clench the sheets as a hand stops my hand in trailing downwards. "Liliana, stop."
Eh? Does he not want to anymore? "Why's that?" My hand roams further down stroking his thighs as he groans. "Didn't you want to handcuff me?"
My fiancé's hand stops me pinning my wrists above my head. "Stop. If you go any further, I'm not sure if I can restrain myself from hurting you."
Oh… he's… "Then let's test that limit, shall we?"
His eyes widen as I wiggle free from his hold wrapping my arms around his neck. "W-What are you trying to-" He struggles to undo my arms as I peck his lips.
"Astral,"
"Lily…" A mixture of love and lust emanates from his beautiful eyes. "No… I can't risk-"
"You're not risking anything, my love." I cup his face taking in his masculine scent. "I'm your fiancée. Intercourse is all about trusting and accommodating to your partner's desires."
"I know that but…" A conflicted expression forms on his handsome face.
"I'm stronger than you think, Astral. I can handle it."
He bites his lip and looks at me with great hesitation. Besides, how bad can it be? It's just relinquishing power to another being. That being happens to be the person I trust the most and would never harm me intentionally.
"Alright." Yes! "But," His expression changes into a serious one. "If at any and I mean any point you feel is too intense or uncomfortable, say your safe word. Got it?"
"Couldn't I just say stop?" I tilt my head as he pecks my forehead.
"I'm afraid not, darling. Always remember your safe word. Grill it into your head, okay?"
Wow… this is serious but also exciting at the same time.
He summons a pair of black padded handcuffs and cautiously handcuffed me to the post. "Tell me if it needs adjustment."
"Is this too tight?"
"No. It's good." I gulp as my heart hammers against my rib cage staring into his dark and lusty eyes.
"You sure?"
My head nods as he leans forwards trailing his lip on my ear. "Do you remember your safe word?"
"Cantaloupe." I whisper as he leans back hovering above me brushing his thumb over my lips.
"Good girl."
"Wait wait wait!" I hastily said as a thought flies through my mind. "Uncuff me for a second." This could end badly in so many ways! Why did I agree to this? What was I thinking?!
A wolfish smile appears on his lips as he leans closer. Those eyes… I gulp as my heart thumps. They can make me climax right now. Oh man.
"Having second thoughts, love?" He whispers as his eyes cloud with lust.
"You look so delicious, laying there incapacitated, completely vulnerable to my will." My fiancé murmurs to me as he leans over and begins kissing my lips. I return his passion while still handcuffed to the bed as best I could. How on earth can he say something so… so…
"Baby, uncuff me, please," I beg, panting from the kiss. I want to touch you!
"No."
"Astral!" I yank on the cuffs, "Uncuff (yank) me (yank) now!"(yank, yank)
"Shhhh, trust me." His soft hungry mouth covered mine possessively as I shiver.
My darling's mouth travels down my jaw to the sensitive spot under my ear and I whimper with pleasure. I felt him smile against my neck as his lips continued down to the hollow between my collar bones. He nips and kisses his way across my left collarbone while I writhe and shudder beneath him.
Why is he teasing me like this?!
He straddles my hips and stares down at me for a minute. I gulp. My heart thumps rapidly as my every urge wants to run my hands across his magnificent body but almost screamed because I can't.
"Please… my fiancé, release me!" I plead in the sweetest tone I can muster.
He smirks dangerously. "Release you? I don't think so, my beloved."
A tingle crawls down my spine at his words. I unleashed another side to him. A dangerous side that he had never shown me before. But then again, this is exhilarating, this side of him.
His mouth resumed its journey down my body. He bit my nipple as I mewl and moan in pleasure.
"Ah-Astral!"
"That's it, honey, just relax. Let me love you."
I shut my eyes and try to relax. I want to touch him, to run my fingers through his light blue hair, to let my fingers roam every inch of his body, to feel him against me! This is unbearable!
His mouth continued its relentless pleasuring of my breasts. He nibbles on my nipples. He runs his tongue around my areola and flicked the nipple. Finally, he gently latch on and suck and tug until I was whimpering his name.
"Astral," I whimper as his hands pinch my areola making me cry out. Holy cow, I might not be able to last much longer.
"Ahhhhh!" My back arch against the bed panting with sweat dripping onto the bed as he continues his ministrations.
My darling's mouth continues down my body while he rolls my nipples between his fingers. He kisses down to my belly button and gently runs his tongue around the rim.
"Please baby, I want to feel you against me," I beg in desperation closing my eyes as he trails downwards.
He lays on top of me savoring the feeling of my bare skin against his while he plunders my mouth.
"You feel so good," My beloved purrs when he finally pulls back.
My face flushes as I stare at him with desire and wanting.
I yank on the cuffs again, this time with more force as my heart skyrockets. Come on, break! Thankfully these things are padded or else with the amount of force I'm using, my wrists will end up with bruises.
He reaches up and lays one of his hands over mine, his mismatched staring down in my lavender eyes with such intensity that I was left momentarily breathless. The emotion…
"Relax, Lily, It will be worth it, I promise."
"Astral, I want you now-ahhhh," I manage to moan.
"Patience, darling. You'll have me, all in good time." My beloved lowers his mouth and gently brush his lips over my cheekbone, back to my ear, and nibble on my lobe while his talented hands lightly stroke my sides. I buckle and stiffen as a loud groan escapes underneath him and he smiles against my neck.
My hands yank at the cuffs again in desperation staring at the sexy man above me licking my lips as I grow even wetter. Why do they make these things too hard to break?! I growl in frustration as he smiles lovingly.
Slowly he kisses my foot and suck my toes. He kisses his way back up my legs until he reaches my sex.
"Mmmmmm-Ah! Please, Astral!"
Gently he pushes back my folds giving him a clear unobstructed view of my clitoris. Slowly, he runs the tip of his tongue around it, causing my hips to come off the bed with a gasp.
"Oh-Ahhh! M-More!" Sweat drips from my body as I use my legs to push him into me. A hot groan comes from my fiancé as his tongue flicks my clit.
I can feel the heat building in my core as he continues to gently run his tongue around my bundle of nerves. My eyes roll back into my head as my body rush to a crescendo.
My back arches as my stomach knots. The feeling of intense pleasure flows through like running water.
"Ah, A-Astral, I'm about to-"
"A-Astrallllllllllllll!" I cry as I stiffen and pants. Oh sweet relief. How can he be this good?
Slowly, he kisses his way back up my body until he positions himself at my entrance. Gently, he brushed his lips across my mouth and cheeks, leaving butterfly light kisses in his wake. My eyes slowly open and smiled up at him. He smiled back and then swiftly impaled me.
"Ahhhh-"
My breath hitches as his mouth crash down on mine, smothering my cries as he buries himself in me deeper and deeper. He begins slowly thrusting inside of me, penetrating deeply each time.
"Yes! Astral! Faster… please!" I moan and groan as he thrusts at different angles hitting me with every ounce of pleasure that I haven't known existed until now.
"Oh-Ah… Oh my god!"
My fiancé increases his speed until he pounds himself into me. He buries his face in my shoulder, growling loudly as my walls tighten down on him.
There's no room for rational thought, just feeling as I simply reacted to his powerful, deep thrusts into my body. It feels like molten lava settles into my core, burning everything in its wake except for the incredible feeling of having him slide home over and over again.
"A-Astral, I-I'm-"
"You close?"
"Y-Yes!"
My fiancé growls as my walls tighten down on him further. "Don't you dare release until I give you the command."
E-Eh?! "B-But-"
"Or else, there will be a punishment involved."
Darn it! His breathing labors as he thrusts faster making my stomach knot. "Ahhhh!" At this rate… but no. I can't or else I'll be punished for sure.
"Please… I can't hold on much longer!" My back arches as my private burns with heat.
"Astral, please," I beg in desperation as my vision blurs with moisture dripping from my eyes. "Please!" I need to be filled!
"Not. Good. Enough."
My mouth dangles open. Why he!
"W-What do you want me to do? Please. I'll do anything!" I choke back a cry as he bites my areoles.
"Beg me."
Beg him? But I already did that! Do I need to sweet talk him or something?!
"Please, Astral~" My breathing labors as I yank on the cuffs. "I-I need you, my love. Please!"
"Getting warmer." I gasp as a throbbing pain assaults my necks as my private overflows with wetness.
"Ahhh~"
There's only one way I'm getting what I want.
"Y-Your Highness," My fists clench as tears flow from my eyes sockets. "Please-ah!"
"Please… oh… my handsome, sexy, and kind fiancé… ah…" I squirm in heat on the bed as his thrusts begin to pick up speed. Yes! "I want you in me. I w-want…"
"What do you want, my dear?"
He's really going to make me say it?! "I-I-ohh!"
"Hm?"
Electrical jolts course through my body as my nipples are painfully hard. Oh my goodness. His rolls them in between his fingers as my breathing labors even more. Got to hold it. Don't release. Don't you dare release, Lily!
"A-Astral-ohhhhhh!" He pinches it as my breath hitches.
"I… I want… I…" It's now or never. I take a deep breath and throwing my head back with my eyes shut as he continued his ministrations. "Please… ugh… fill me… ah… with your… s-seed… ohhh… your child…"
My beloved's hands knead my breasts as I whine. "Release for me, baby."
His body suddenly stiffens. I feel his seed shoot through my entrance, penetrating deeper as I relax myself breathing heavily. That was torture. Oh my gosh.
My love collapses on top of me panting, taking a few minutes to recover from the intensity of his orgasm. He rolls off me and reaches up to free my wrists from the cuffs.
"Oh my god…"
I let out a breath of relief. That was intense… really intense.
He raises himself to one elbow, while he runs his thumb along my lips. "See what happens when you trust me?"
I smile and hold him closer as he lay next to me. "Next time, I get to handcuff you."
A mischievous twinkle sparks in his eyes once more as he snuggles closer wrapping his arms around my waist. "Oh? When would that be?"
I poke his nose with a wink. "Any time I want to, my sexy fiancé."
He leans closer with a sly smirk. "So, did you mean what you said earlier?"
My brows furrow in confusion. "Huh?"
"You know… the part where you begged me…"
The part where I…! A gasp escapes my lips as I immediately cover my mouth. Why on earth did I say that?! Darn it! My face heats up as I avoid his gaze. Was that a spur of the moment thing or…?
"I… I… uh…" I meet his gaze shyly. What now? "A-Astral, I…"
A chuckle resonates from his lips as he gives my forehead a lingering kiss. "No need to explain. That was from the heat of the moment, right?"
"R-Right." My gaze drifts down fiddling with my fingers. That was a spur of a moment thing but… why do I feel so… sad? Is that what I'm feeling right now? Argh! Why am I thinking about this?
His soft lips meet mine as he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "I take that you liked it?" Liked it?
A giggle emits from my mouth as I cup both of his cheeks and peck his nose. "Liked it? No. I loved it!"
A laugh rings throughout the room as he ruffles my hair. "Wow, who knew that you would like this sort of thing?"
I snuggle against his chest even more. "And who knew you were so…" I trail off not completing the sentence. Sadistic? Is that the right word? No, hm…
He raises a brow. "So what?"
"Sadistic," I said after a minute as his eyes widen in shock.
"Sadistic?!"
I nod confidently as he blinks with a laugh. "My baby, why would you think that?"
"Well, let's see…" I purse my lips in deep thought. "How about when I begged you to uncuff me?"
He smiles nervously. "That doesn't really-"
"Also, you ignored me multiple times when I pleaded for you, remember?" I said as he gulps with a laugh.
"Still, that doesn't-"
"If that's not sadism then I don't know what is," I mutter as a sigh escapes his lips.
"But you enjoyed it correct? It was better than the other times, right?"
My face heats up as I let out a tiny nod. It was wayyyyy better. "It was intense…"
"Intense? How?"
I hit him gently. "You know what I mean," I mutter as he lifts my head to meet his beautiful eyes.
"I don't." He whispers as he licks my cheek.
"You do." I squeak as his hand cups my bottom.
"I don't. Tell me, how did it feel?" My fiancé's hand clutch my bottom as a moan escapes my lips.
"I-It felt-Ahhhh!"
"Baby," He strokes my clit gently as my breathing grows heavy. "Tell me, how was it?"
H-He! I did my best to glare at him as I squirm on the bed in heat.
"Honey, it's really… late." I manage to stifle a moan biting the inside of my cheek. "P-Plus, you have a wedding to a-attend… to."
"You know that I don't care for the wedding." He whispers as he continues to fondle my clit. "Besides, you're enjoying this."
"N-No. I-I'm not!" I lie clenching my jaw to resist the urge of succumbing to his wishes.
"Really?" He smirks as he uses his thumb to press against it making me moan loudly.
"Mmmmmm-Ahhhhhh!"
"Since you enjoyed being handcuffed so much…" His eyes narrow and quickly cuffs my wrists to the bedpost once again. Looks like we're doing this again.
"Let's do it again!" He whispers licking my ear excitedly as I gulp.
"Before we begin, tell me," His tongue swirls around my ear as my breathing labors. "Do you like this?"
I shiver. "Y-Yes."
"What is it like?" His lips are millimeters away from mine as my heart thumps violently.
"Erotic… so sexually stimulating and completely, utterly sexy and erotic." I finally said as a grin appears on his lips.
"Exactly what I was waiting to hear, baby."
A lustful and dangerous look surfaces as my heart hammers. Uh-oh…
"One round, got it?"
My fiancé smiles sweetly and pecks my forehead. "Of course."
Why do I have such a bad feeling about this? The fact that he agreed so quickly…!
"W-Wait-"
He chuckles and looms over me. "Too late."
"P-Please release me, my lovely fiancé." I squeak as I stare into his eyes.
"My love, I'm afraid your lovely fiancé has been replaced by his primal urges." He whispers darkly.
My eyes widen. "P-Primal urges?" Oh no… I'm screwed!
He moistens his lips slowly as he scans my body with a lustful and dangerous gaze. "I will ravage you until you scream my name over and over and over."
Thirty-six plans. Running is out of the equation. "Help me!" I shout as he chuckles darkly. Screaming for help is the best option right about now.
"Did you forget I placed the sound barrier up? This whole room is soundproof." Darn it!
My darling leans down closer. "You can scream all you want. No one will hear and know except for me."
I stare at him in shock. Holy cow! Is he acting or did a switch flicker in him seeing me handcuffed to a post?
His eyes darken. "I won't be merciful this time."
This is going to be a very long night.
