Astral's POV:
She holds my hand softly. Amethyst eyes bore into mine. "I'm pregnant."
…
…
…
Are my ears working? There is no way she said that right? There's no way…
"I'm sorry, may you repeat that?"
She chews her lip with tears glistening. "I'm pregnant."
…
…
…
"Congratulations!" My lips slowly curve into a smile. "You must be thrilled!"
Everyone's eyes widen as they look at me in shock. "Uh… son?"
"Yes?"
"Are you not… surprised…?"
I raise a brow at my mother. "I mean… when someone's pregnant… you're supposed to be happy for them, right?"
Gold eyes blink with a nod as my sister taps my shoulder. "Lucky, do you know what pregnancy is?"
I stifle a laugh. "What do you view me as, a kid or something? Of course I know what… pregnancy is."
"Are you sure?"
What is that supposed to mean?
The woman on the bed next to me tugs my sleeve as I meet her figure. "Are you… not… mad?"
Angry?
"Why would I be angry?" My head tilts a bit to the right as a thought enters my brain. "Wait, who's the father though?"
…
…
…
All is silent as the clock ticks away. Why are they so quiet? Did I say something wrong?
My friend clears his throat. "Astral, do you remember the process of making a baby?"
Hm… is it consummation? Intercourse? Combustion? One or those right? But what exactly do they mean?
"Yes?"
"That's a no." My friend whispers to my other friend who puts up the shushing symbol.
"Let me ask you something." He places his hands on his hips. "Do you know what a fiancée is?"
"Someone to be wedded and engaged to another being."
"Yes and do you know if a woman gets pregnant, the man contributed to her pregnancy?"
"Mhm." I nod but a nagging thought enters my brain. "But how exactly does the man contribute?"
…
…
…
Their faces all light up red as they avoid each other's gazes. Huh… how strange… "Are you all ill?"
"You seriously don't know?"
I blink at him as he glances at my mother and father who facepalms their foreheads. Odd…
"Did I say something wrong?"
"Hm? No, son. Not at all." My father places a hand under his chin looking at me with a sigh. "It's just… you don't remember anything about this topic?"
"Am I supposed to?"
My parents glance at each other again. "Are we going to have to explain this to him again?" He whispers as my mother glances at me.
"Astral,"
I tilt my head to the right furrowing my brows a bit. "Yes, mother?"
…
Her mouth opens for a minute then closes and shifts her golden eyes to my friend. "Zach, let's just skip over this for now. Continue explaining what you were saying before."
"Yes, Your Majesty,"
"Alright. Now, your fiancée, the woman you will be marrying, is pregnant." He explains slowly. "Who do you think the father is?"
Huh… my fiancée is pregnant. A fiancée is someone who is engaged to someone. My fiancée and I will most likely get… married… wait a minute…
A thought suddenly clicks into place like a puzzle. In order for a woman to get pregnant, the man has to do something to that woman. Since we are engaged and she is pregnant… does that mean…
My eyes widen as I snap my head back at the woman who is sitting silently on the bed gripping her fingers together.
"Finally got it huh?"
But I don't remember anything about our connection. Perhaps, that's not even my child… no no no. She's not that type of person… is she? Should I risk it?
My eyes drift to the others who nods seriously and look back at her. "You're pregnant?"
The woman in front of me nods blinking away the tears as I bite my lip. Should I? It seems wrong but… what should I do?
"Please tell me that this is some kind of joke."
"You think this is a joke?" The woman in front of me stifles a sob as the doctor hands me the test results.
This…
My heart races as I tear the paper into shreds. "No way this is true." I snap my head towards him. "I demand another test."
"Your Highness," He bows interlocking his fingers in front. "I did the test about five times and they all came out positive."
"Then do another one."
"I'm afraid I can't do that either."
Darn it!
"Your machine is broken. Throw it away and buy a new one."
"This machine is the latest model and I just got it a week ago. I swear on my life that it's not faulty."
If it's not a prank… then… My hand clutches my head with a sigh. What on earth?! Why does this have to happen? I didn't do anything to her yet why is she pregnant?
"How?" I ask after a moment of silence as everyone stares at me in disbelief.
…
…
…
The woman in front of me flushes and looks away as the doctor clears his throat.
"Your Highness, there is a process called intercourse." I blink blankly at him. "That is the process how a baby is made."
"But… how is it made?" Intercourse? Sounds like a food item. Does a man and a woman eat it and the woman has a baby?
He looks at my parents as they shrug then he directs his gaze at me once more. "Your Highness, all you need to know is the baby that Lady Liliana's carrying is yours."
…
I turn to the lady next to me. Her cheeks dust crimson as her grip tightens on her skirt. Hm…"Give me a minute to process this."
Ok… so she's pregnant. The baby may or may not be mine. Most likely it's mine. That means I have to take responsibility for it. But the problem is I don't remember anything about her. That could be a bit problematic. Wait a minute… Why won't anyone tell me how a baby is made? What's up with that?
"A-Astral, say something."
First things first. Lets get this over with. I stare at her with my neutral expression. "Lady Liliana, this may be personal but I have to know. All I want is an answer. Is it my child?"
Every single jaw drops in silence. I knew that I shouldn't have asked that! Curses.
A pair of hands slowly slip from mine as she stares at me in disbelief. Tears fall on the bed as her breathing grows heavy. "You…" Her voice cracks with the tone of betrayal. "Do you see me as that type of person?"
"Of course not."
"Then why?" Her voice barely an audible whisper. She gulps blinking rapidly. "Why would you ask that?"
"All I want is an answer. Is that child mine?"
"And all I want is an answer as well!" Her voice raises. "Do you honestly think I would go around sleeping with other men?" Sleeping with a man? Oh… that must be how a baby is made. A woman has to sleep with a man in order to get pregnant? But then… what happens if she sleeps with multiple men? Does that mean that child has two fathers?
"I don't."
"So why-"
"I just met you yesterday. First you said you were my best friend. Then you said you're my fiancée and now, you say that you're pregnant." I fold my arms over my chest. "I think I have reasons to be weary of your words."
Her eyes narrow. "Here are the results. You saw the evidence. I'm not lying about this."
"Yes," I pick up the papers from the floor. "You are indeed bearing a child but who knows where that child came from."
"You-"
"For all that I know, this could be your plan. Using your pregnancy as an excuse to marry me and entering the royal family to obtain ultimate power."
Tears leak from her purple eyes as she raises to meet my stance. "How many times do I have to tell you?" A broken voice rings throughout the room. "Not everyone has a motive! I'm not looking for power nor do I have a motive."
"So you say."
"Whether you believe me or not," A hand touches her stomach. "This child is yours."
I bore my eyes into hers. Is she lying? If she is then she's a really good actress.
A smirk crosses my face. "I believe your words for now but," My eyes darken. "If I find out that you're lying, I won't be so forgiving."
The woman in front of me shivers as she gulps. "W-Where are you going?"
"I need some air." I responded shutting my eyes.
What a day.
(Pulse)
A sharp pain makes stumble back a few steps clutching my head. W-Why is this happening now? I hiss shutting my eyes tightly crouching down as I grit my teeth. What is going on?
"Astral!" Footsteps crowd around me as I quickly place my hands over my ears.
"S-Stop t-talking,"
So loud.
(Flash):
…A dark room…
(Flash):
…The scent of blood on a figure's hands as he shake violently in a corner…
(Flash):
…Echos of bloodcurdling screams…
(Flash):
…A young girl with emerald green eyes…
(Flash):
…A bloodied girl with pale blue hair lays in the arms of a guy…
(Flash)
"Hah… hah… w-what on earth?" My breathing labors as I try to process the images. What did I just see?
"Son," My mother speaks up as I quickly withdraw my hands from her reach. "Are you… okay?"
None of this makes any sense! Why am I only getting bits and pieces of it? Who was that girl? Why were there screams? The scent of blood?
"Everyone back away." The doctor chimes in as footsteps shuffle back. "Now, Your Highness," He offers me a hand with a smile.
"Are you alright?"
My throat locks as my body shakes. Stop shaking! "I… I don't know…" God darn it! Why do I sound so helpless?
"Do you mind describing what you saw?" He shifts next to me on the bed holding my hand. Telling him won't hurt, right? His job is to save people. He won't harm me, right?
My eyes drift to the rest of the people in the room as he clears his throat. "Ahem, anyone who is not a direct relation to His Highness, please wait outside."
"But-"
"Zach," My friend shakes her head pulling his hand out.
The door closes leaving my parents, sister and, fiancée standing around me with worried expressions.
"Your Highness, now may you tell us?"
I gulp clenching my fist. "I… I… these past for days, I have been seeing strange images."
He materializes a notepad and scribbles down a few things. "And, what are strange about them?"
"N-None of them make sense. It's like they are mere snapshots of something bigger and s-sinister."
My sister's eyes widen. "Sinister?"
"Ahem, Your Highness, please leave the talking to me."
He turns back to me. "What do you mean by sinister?"
"I-I'm not sure… when I see those images… I…" My heart races as I begin to breath faster and faster. What the heck is wrong with me?!
"Your Highness, Your Highness," A hand grips mine tightly. "It's okay. Calm down. You need to breath."
T-That's right… I have to breath. I have to calm myself. "That's it. Good. Your Highness, you're safe. No one is going to harm you."
"If you don't mind, can you describe what you saw?"
"I…" My head nods as I grip his hand tightly. "A-A dark room, pitch black with n-no lights… a figure rocking back and f-forth… b-blood… the s-scent of blood everywhere… s-screams… w-why am I seeing these things?" I look at my parents as my vision blurs.
"D-Did something happen in the past that I forgotten, is that it?"
"Son-"
"O-Or did I kill someone? W-Why was there so much b-blood?" Does that make me a murderer? Oh my god… I killed someone.
"Son," My father grip my shoulders tightly staring into my eyes. "Listen to me, you have never killed anyone."
"I… I d-didn't kill people?"
"Of course not," My sister chimes in. "You would never kill anyone."
"B-But the b-blood… the s-screams… how do you-"
"Look at me," He cups my face as I blink my tears away. "Don't think too much about that." How does he expect me to do that?
"Y-Yes… Father." I respond after a moment as my fiancée sits beside me.
The doctor bows to my parents. "Your Majesties, may I speak with you two in private?"
"I'm coming as well."
"Of course," The door shuts leaving us two siting next to each other in silence. Ah great. What should I-
"Are you alright, my love?"
"Yea, I'm fine." I let out a sigh rubbing my temples. This is not how I envisioned my day looking like at all.
(Flash):
…A young girl with emerald green eyes…
(Flash)
Those eyes… why do they look so much like…
"Why didn't you tell me this morning?" A whisper comes from her lips as I open one of my eyes.
"I didn't want to bother you with this trivial matter."
"Trivial? You call having a panic attack trivial?"
"It was not a panic attack."
"You were hyperventilating and trembling." She points out holding my hands.
"Astral," Her gaze softens cupping my cheeks. "No matter what you think of me, I'm still your fiancée. I know you don't trust me but at least tell me when you're in distress." I messed up big time. How could I possibly think that…
"I… I'm sorry for-" My eyes widen as a finger touch my lips.
The woman in front of me smiles slightly. "Don't mention it. I was the one who reacted harshly to it. I should've taken your emotions into consideration." What?
"No. You had all right to react that way. I was the one who-"
"My love, you have nothing to apologize for."
"What do you mean? Of course I have-"
"Astral, I will say it again," She holds my shoulders. "You don't remember. That's the normal reaction. Stop apologizing for goodness sakes."
"But-"
"No buts." Her gaze bores into mine. "Listen to me, you have nothing to apologize for."
I pull her closer into an embrace. "How could I have ever accused you of such a thing? I-"
My eyes drift to the person sitting next to me. Tears stain her face as she looks down. Eh?! "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I should've taken better precautions to prevent this from happening." Oh.
She chokes out with warm tears dripping on my hand. "I'm sorry." She shouldn't have apologized for this.
"Stop apologizing." Her eyes widen and look at mine. "There's no use for it."
More tears leak from her eyes as I wipe her tears with my thumbs. "What's done is done."
My fiancée sniffles as I pull her into a hug. "Everything's going to be alright," I utter gently patting her back.
This is a big shock for her as well. What to do. What to do in this situation? The proper thing to do is marriage but… My eyes drift down to the woman in my arms hugging my chest. Would she agree? Wait for a second, she's my fiancée. Of course, she would agree. Never mind that. It's my child… I think… I have to take responsibility for my actions. That means…
But… there's always a possibility that this is just an act.
"Darling?"
"Yes?"
She hugs me tighter. "What are we going to do?" Her voice trembles holding in a sob.
"What do you think?"
She gulps as her breathing labors. "A-Abortion?"
"Do you want an abortion?" I pull back holding her shoulders. "If you do, I'll arrange it."
"I…" Her purple eyes look down towards her lap. "I… what do you want?"
What?
"Why are you asking me?" I ask after a few minutes of silence as tears drip onto her hand. "My opinion doesn't matter. What matters is your decision, Lady Liliana."
Her eyes widened as she looks at me in disbelief.
"Will you be able to handle the responsibilities?"
She bites her lips. "I… I can't. Well, at least not alone that is."
Oh… is that what she was worried about?
"Abortion?" A chuckle escapes my lips. "Really? Even though I have doubt about its origins, if you are telling the truth-"
"I swear on my life that this," She takes my hand and places it on her stomach. "Is your child."
Well, if she swears on her life…
"No need to swear. I believe you, my fiancée."
Her face holds the expression of disbelief. "W-What did you say?"
"No need to swear?" I raise an eyebrow as she shakes her head.
"The last part."
The last part…!
"Is there something wrong with calling you my fiancée?" I asked as she tackles me. I stiffen. Her arms wrap around my neck with a sob as she pulls me closer. So much physical contact…
A sigh escapes my lips. Guess I have to get used to it. My hands pat her back gently. "Y-You finally referred to me as your fiancée."
She stutters in between sobs as tears drip on my shirt. "Of course, you've always been my fiancée." I just never said it out loud that's all.
Liliana's POV:
Yay! He referred to me as his fiancée! Woohoo! He initiated physical contact. All hope is not lost after all. If that's the case… I wonder…
"Honey,"
"Hm?"
"Can you say my name?"
He blinks as he breaks the embrace. "Why?"
"Because I want you to."
"Lady-"
I shake my head. "My name. Not my title."
He stays silent looking at me with a critical gaze. Is saying my name that difficult? It's four syllables.
"Liliana."
My eyes widen. Did he… "Say it again," I utter in great shock not believing my ears.
"Liliana."
Yes! He finally said it! I latch onto his arm as he stiffens a bit. Guess he's still wary of contact. My father clears his throat. "So, is there anything we should be wary of during this time?"
The doctor who is smiling lovingly at the scene blinks regaining his professional composure. "Ah yes, during the first 3 months is the most crucial."
He turns towards me. "Lady Liliana, I'm pretty sure you know this already but I will reiterate it once again. No alcohol, no caffeine, no strenuous activity-"
My eyes widen. "Does that include sword fighting?"
All eyes direct to me. I'm assuming that's a yes. "Sword fighting is an absolute no." He clarified as my beloved looked at me.
"Seriously?" Zach exclaims in shock. "You're thinking about sword fighting during a time like this?"
"You wouldn't know how fun it is," I mutter giving him an eye roll. "It's a fantastic way to relieve stress."
"I guess you have to find another way to relieve stress," Brandon said as I shoot him a look.
"You think I don't know that?" I snap bitterly as everyone gulps.
"Geez, mood swing."
I glare at her as she inches back. "What was that, Maria?"
"Give me your sword." He holds out his hand with an expectant look. No! Seriously?!
"Do I have to?"
"Yes, give it here."
"How about I hold onto it?" I pout fluttering my eyelashes. "I promise I won't use it."
"Give it."
"But it's my sword."
"He said no sword fighting."
"Yea, that's why I'm just holding onto it. I'm not going to use it."
"If you're not going to use it, why hold onto it at all?" Darn it!
My hand swings his arm back and forth. "Astral," My lips form a pout. "Let me keep it. I promise, I won't use it for anything except for emergencies."
"And what accounts as an emergency?"
Good question…! "What if something happens and I didn't have a sword to defend myself?"
"I will be sticking to you like glue so there is no way that will happen." He responds after a moment. "Now, hand it over."
"You're cruel." My arms fold over my chest as he stares at me.
"Say whatever you want but if it's my child then I have to protect it."
"You still have doubts?" I raise a brow. "Seriously?"
"Hey you try forgetting everything and see how you like it?"
"Nah, I'll skip on your generosity." I wave a hand.
"Lily," My father said in a stern tone. "I know you enjoy sword fighting but it's too risky right now."
True… I sigh and summon up my sword. "Fine." It's not fair…
The doctor clears his throat. "No high mercury foods such as swordfish, shark, king mackerel, tuna (especially bigeye tuna), marlin, tilefish, orange roughy, etc…" Oh wow.
"Astral?"
"Got it." He scribbles on a notepad.
"So what foods can I eat?" I ask after my beloved finished writing.
"Well, you can eat anything except for raw meats, junk food, basically anything raw and undercooked is a huge no." That's good. I don't even eat raw food. "Here are some recommendations: anchovies, cod, flounder, haddock, salmon, tilapia, trout (freshwater)."
I blink. "What's with all the fish recommendations?"
"Fish has Omega-3 fatty acids," My fiancé responds as I turn my attention towards him. "It's necessary for fetal and baby development." Really?
"And you know this how?" I ask in curiosity as he shoots me a slight smile.
"I just do. Oh, by the way, salmon and anchovies are good options considering they contain the most Omega-3 fatty acids, am I correct, doctor?"
He nods. "As usual, you're correct, Your Highness." Of course. Even in his state, he still knows so much.
"Oh, I almost forgot, try to avoid unpasteurized foods. Many low-fat dairy products — such as skim milk, mozzarella cheese, and cottage cheese — can be a healthy part of your diet. Anything containing unpasteurized milk, however, is a no-no. These products could lead to food-borne illness."
"Oh."
"Avoid soft cheeses, such as brie, feta, and blue cheese, unless they are clearly labeled as being pasteurized or made with pasteurized milk. Also, avoid drinking unpasteurized juice."
"Since when do I ever drink unpasteurized milk?" I raise a brow as he smiles.
"Just a precaution that's all."
Great… I glance at my beloved who is writing diligently on a notepad. He probably forgot he has a photographic memory. I don't even know how he can forget such a thing.
"And… done." He exclaims as I peek at his notes. Wow, as usual, he's very thorough.
"Anything else?"
The doctor places a hand under his chin. "No, I believe that covers it all. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, sword fighting, etc…"
That coupled with the list of foods not allowed. A sigh escapes my lips. Who knew being pregnant is so difficult. "Your Highness, Lady Liliana," He said in a serious tone as we meet his gaze.
"The first trimester, which is the first three months, is the most crucial." Yup. Most miscarriages happen during that time. "That means," He focuses his gaze onto me. "You have to be extra careful not to fall and/or do anything to harm the baby."
I nod. "Alright, I'll be careful."
"Any questions?"
"Nope."
He claps his hand together. "If you two don't mind, I'm going to check on you daily to see if the baby's developing properly okay?"
I shrug. "Of course."
"Do what you must do." My love replies with a subtle nod as he nods back with a serious look.
I'm actually pregnant… My lips curve upwards as I hold my fiancé's hand. "Something wrong?"
I roll my eyes with a smile. "Of course not, my fiancé."
He's not pulling away this time!
Astral's POV:
"Ok," My father said as we sit on the couch. My fiancée grips my arm gently as our parents sit across from us. Oh boy… this is going to be a long talk. I can already tell.
"Son, how are you handling this?"
"It's fine," I reply after a moment. "I was taken aback but I'm fine."
They glance at each other. "Really?"
I nod. "Yes, Mother. I'm fine."
My fiancée's father clears his throat. "Astral, I know this is a lot to handle, especially in your amnesiac state." He's right. It's a lot to handle. "But, even if you don't remember, please, take care of her to the best of your ability."
The person next to me eyes widen. "Father…"
My lips curve upwards into a minuscule smile. "Of course, General Luca." I grip her hand making her eyes widen. "She's my fiancée."
Her mother pats my shoulder. "We trust you."
I nod as my friends and sister storm in sitting across from us with huge smiling faces. Why do they look like that?
"Now that you four gotten the talk out of the way," My sister starts leaning towards us clasping her hands together. "Let's talk about the wedding." No wonder they burst in.
"Your Majesty," Zachary started. "When's the date?"
"Hm… considering this situation… I would think probably next week?"
Next week?! My fiancée and I glance at each other with eyes widening. "Next week?!"
"Yes," Her mother states. "Considering this development, we want to host it before the world knows that she's pregnant."
Good point. "But don't you think that's a bit hasty?" My fiancée chimes in as I raise an eyebrow.
"Maybe under normal circumstances," Her father said sipping his cup of water. "But in this case, no."
"But…"
"I thought you would show more enthusiasm about this," My mother starts as she looks at her in concern. "Why the lack?"
She fidgets with her skirt shifting her gaze towards me. Hm… Is she hesitant because… My hands lift my cup of tea.
The aroma of flowers fills my nostrils. Yup. Delicious as ever. "Why are you all staring at me?" I calmly sip my cup with my eyes shut as I can hear her gulp.
"Um… w-what are your thoughts about this?" She stammers as I thought for a moment. So I was correct.
"Why are you stuttering?" I place my cup down to meet her gaze. "Am I that scary?"
"I wouldn't say scary much so less intimidating," Star whispers as they nod. Intimidating? I'm just sitting here. How is that intimidating?
"I believe I made my decision clear a few moments ago."
"You did?"
"Yup."
Silence fills the air as I sigh. Looks like I need to make things more clear. "The wedding is next week, right?"
"That's what we're planning, yes." Her mother answers looking at me in hesitation. "But…" I tilt my head in confusion. What's with the hesitating? "How do you feel about this?"
"Didn't I make that clear a few moments ago?"
"Yes, but all you said was fine."
"So?"
"Is that a 'good' fine or a 'looks like I'm forced into this' fine?" The person next to me chimes in.
Hm… well, it's partially my fault for impregnating her so I need to be responsible which means marriage is ideal… but on the other hand, I don't have any recollection of the feelings of love with her. Such a difficult situation I am facing.
"Fine means fine," I respond after a moment of looking at her.
"That's not clearing anything up," Brandon whispers as they nod.
She chews on her lip avoiding my gaze. "Want me to be honest?"
"Please,"
A sigh escapes my lips. How should I say this without sounding too cold? "I still can't remember. I don't remember anything and it's…" I glance at the audience who is casually listening. Seriously?
My arms cross as I stare at them. My sister clears her throat. "We'll let ourselves out."
"Astrana-"
"Stop whining, Brandon."
"Come on, everyone out."
"But we want to listen!"
"Nope."
The door shuts as I look at her. How should I go about this? "Be honest with me," She begins gently while holding my hands. "You don't like me, do you?"
My eyes widen as tears start to glisten in her beautiful eyes. I… don't know… "It's not that I don't like you," My thumbs wipe her tears from her cheeks.
"It's just I…" Should I be saying this? I mean, she's my fiancée. Why would I pick her to be my fiancée if I don't like her?
My fiancée stares at me sniffing as I cup her face. "As I mentioned, I don't remember anything about our connection. Waking up one day and everything is all new and strange. It's shocking and a bit terrifying to say the least." I explain softly choosing my words.
"It's not that I don't like you, Liliana." I let out a sigh wiping her tears again. "It's more of I can't figure out if I like you or not."
"So, does that mean you like or don't like me?" She asks after a moment. Fantastic question! If only I knew.
"That's the problem. I don't know if I like you or not," She bites her lip and looks down. "But, I know that I don't dislike you. That's for sure."
Her expression… My chest aches a bit at the dejected look on her face. Oh god, I knew I shouldn't have said that. Why are emotions so confusing?
A minuscule smile forms on her lips. "At least I know you don't dislike me." What?
Her lips curve into an understanding smile. "It must be unpleasant to wake up with no memories. No worries, I won't pressure you into something you're uncomfortable with."
My eyes widen. This was not the reaction I was anticipating… what is going on? "You amaze me at times." I stare at her as she giggles.
"How?"
"Your reaction was not what I was expecting."
Her eyes widen as she wraps her arms around my chest. "You said that the first time I came to the palace."
I raise a quizzical eyebrow. "I did?"
"Mhm." Strange… The scent of vanilla fills my nostrils. That scent… "Are you wearing perfume?"
Liliana's POV:
"Are you wearing perfume?"
I wrap my arms tighter around his chest leaning my head against it. "You noticed?"
"Duh, you're hugging me right now. How can I not notice?" This conversation seems familiar…!
"Why? Did I make you hungry?" I ask with a giggle hugging him tighter.
"Considering the intoxicating vanilla scent, I would say yes." Intoxicating vanilla scent… hm… I wonder…
My hands gently touch his chest as his eyes widen. "What are you doing?"
My love leans back as I gently push him on the couch laying on top of him. "Lady Liliana?"
"You said that I make you hungry, correct?"
He blinks. "Well, yea. Your perfume is the scent of vanilla."
Who knew amnesia can make you so innocent? I stifle a laugh with a smirk. "You do know that has another meaning," I lean closer as my nose touches his. "Right?"
"It does?"
My fingers trace his chest gently as he gulps. "What are you doing?" My beloved's cheek has a tint of red as my lips get closer to his. "L-Lady Liliana, what are you-"
"I'm your fiancée." My gaze softens as I lift his chin to meet my eyes. "Refer to me by my name."
I can hear his heart hammering in his chest as his face grows redder. "L-Liliana, please, get off me."
Oh great. Now he says my name? Seriously? "Hm," My lips curve upwards. "Give me one good reason why?"
"Um…" I can see the gears turning in his head as his eyes shift everywhere but to my face trying to come up with a reason.
"You sure you don't want to?" My hands dance along his chest again with strokes of various intensities. My love involuntarily shudders.
"Don't want to what?" I can hear his heart rate quicken as our lips are centimeters apart.
A smile graces my face as I rest my head on his chest. He stiffens a bit. Uh-oh… "This is okay, right?"
My love's muscles relax a bit. "Y-Yea, it's fine." His heartbeat is so fast. My lips form a tiny smirk. Mission accomplished!
"Lady-"
"Call me by my name."
