TODAY IS THE DAY! SPIDER-MAN 2 IS OUT! I won't be able to play it for a while, but I wanted to do something to commemorate it. Enjoy!
Part 2: In the Distance
Peter awoke with a start. He slowly sat up and looked out of the window. "What the…"
Yuri moaned. "Peter?" She turned over, laying on her other side, and looked at him. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Go back to sleep."
Yuri took a deep breath, "You're lying." She opened her eyes and exhaled. "What's up?"
"Just…" Peter shook his head. "Just a bad feeling."
"Spider-sense?"
"No. I don't think so. Just… a feeling. Maybe I'm being a paranoid."
Yuri sat up and rested her chin on his shoulder. "If something's on the way… it's gotta deal with Spider-Man. And he's not alone."
Peter looked at her. "Thank God for that."
They both looked out of the window as the feeling Peter felt returned. Yuri could feel him tense up and took hold of his hand. Perhaps something was on the way. But Yuri had seen it time and time again: whatever was on the way, would be tough, but not insurmountable.
Yuri knew it and believed it. She believed in Spider-Man. More than that, she believed in Peter Parker.
A/N: From what I've heard of the game plot, I probably will end up doing my own version of the story but with Peter and Yuri as a couple. However, I do have a few more ideas for "New Ways To Live" before we get there. I mean, I still have to play the game first.
