Liliana's POV:

"Now," A 30-year old woman with light blonde hair brushes my locks to the side. "Hold still, Lady Liliana." This is taking forever. I had sacrificed 2 hours of sleep time for this. I resist the urge to climb back into bed with a deep sigh. "After, this, I can get started on your makeup."

"Penelope, not to be rude or anything but you have been working on my hair for at least 45 minutes now," I glance back at her as she pins my hair. "Don't you think it's enough?"

A gasp escapes her lips as her eyes widen. "How can you think like that? A wedding is a special occasion that will dictate your future. Not to mention, you're getting married to the one and only prince of this world!" Her lips curve into a minuscule smile with a breath. "What a lucky lady you are."

(Flash):

"I still can't remember anything. The doctor said there is a very slim chance that I can recover them." He stated as I close my eyes. "Marriage is not a game. I don't want you to get stuck in a loveless marriage."

(Flash)

Why am I remembering this? My chest constricts as butterflies flutter in my stomach. Today is the day... Today is the day when my life as a single woman changes forever. "Lady Liliana, don't be so nervous." She suddenly chimes in snapping me back to reality as she curls my hair. "It's normal to be nervous but don't worry, once the ceremony begins, it will feel natural."

"I'm assuming you're speaking from experience?"

"Why yes," Her lips curve upwards staring into the distance. "Believe it or not, I had a massive anxiety attack on the day of the ceremony. I was too afraid of my husband's reaction but it all worked out in the end."

"How?"

"Simple, when I was walking down the aisle, I stared into my fiancé's, now husband, eyes not even once looking away from them." Oh. Staring into his eyes huh? Maybe I should try that as well. "But, you don't have to worry, this wedding will go as planned."

(Knock)(Knock)

"Who is it?"

"It's me. May I enter?" My heart skips a beat as his voice rings throughout the other side of the door. It's him. I bite my lip and was about to respond when she sighs deeply rubbing her temples.

"Your Highness, I am very sure that you are aware of the rules, yes?"

"I know, but I need to get something from my room." Who made up the rule that the bride and groom can't see each other before the wedding? That's the most ridiculous rule ever. "It will be quick."

"Hey Astral, why are you standing outside of your room?" My friend asks as my beloved sighs.

"Well, apparently I can't enter my room because seeing the bride before the ceremony is considered bad luck."

"Oh... what do you need?"

"There should be a box in the drawer near the bed." He's retrieving a box?

"Top or bottom?"

"Top."

"Lily, can I enter?"

"Of course," The door opens a tiny bit, and in walks my friend with dirty blond hair, a fair complexion, and dark blue eyes. "Hey Brandon, how is everything going so far with the preparations?"

"Oh, it's been going..." His face sports a pink tint as his eyes widen. "Y-You look... stunning."

My lips curve upwards slightly. "Really? I haven't even-"

"No no no," The hairstylist carefully holds my hands. "It hasn't had time to set yet. If you touch it now, it will be ruined." Huh... hair needs time to set?

"Hair needs time to set?" He asks with a confused expression as she nods.

"Yeah, I coated her hair with hairspray to solidify the hairstyle. If she touches it now, first of all, her hand will get sticky ruining her French manicure. Secondly, if it gets ruined, it's going to take even more time."

"Brandon," My fiancé calls from outside the door. "I'm on a deadline here."

"Ah, alright." He walks towards the drawer and opens the top one picking up a red jewelry box. A jewelry box? Wait for a minute... isn't that...!

(Flash):

"You're the only one who managed to touch my heart in a way that no one else could and will always have a place that is irreplaceable." My love lets go of my cheeks and slowly gets down on one knee. Luminous silver and gold eyes stare at my purples lovingly. "Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" My throat locks as my voice trembles. More tears flow down my face as he opens the box revealing a large luminous diamond ring that shines brightly.

(Flash)

Isn't that the engagement box that held my engagement ring? "A ring box?" He looks towards the door then back at the box. "He wouldn't mind if I peeked, right?" His hands cautiously open the box as a shine of white light radiates from it causing him to squint. What is that bright light? Once the light dimmed his eyes slowly widen then direct his gaze towards me. "Wow..." My friend's voice conveys a tone of awe as he exhales.

"Can I see?" I ask after a couple of moments as he immediately shuts it putting it in his coat pocket.

"Later you will know what it is."

"Oh come on!" He shuts the door as conversations start to form outside. Is it a ring? Is that why he wouldn't show it to me?

She stifles a giggle with her palm as she softly pulls pieces of my black locks towards my face. "Close your eyes," A spraying sound fills my ears as the scent of chemicals lingers around me. A cough escapes my lips as I fan the space. Oh god. "Looks like we're done with the hair portion."

"Now," Here hands open a make-up kit and picks up a brush. "For the makeup portion." And we're looking at about another 10-15 minutes of me sitting here. "So how do you feel marrying the one and only prince?"

"Currently, a bundle of nerves waiting to explode," I respond as she sighs. "I mean, what if I trip and fall? What if he says no? What if-"

"Why would he say no?" Because he doesn't love me and this is essentially one-sided until he gets his memories back… if that is.

I shrug. But she can't know that. "Think about it this way, you're his fiancée. If he was going to turn you down, he would've done so not wait until the ceremony to humiliate you."

"Good point."

"Look, you're going to be fine. No matter how nervous you are, it's going to be alright." I have to get my nerves under control.

"Let me guess, everyone else is helping with all the guests and preparations?" I ask after a moment as she nods.

"Precisely. There will be about 300 people if I'm not mistaken." Three hundred?!

"Did you say 300?!" Oh my goodness, that many people?!

"Why of course, it's a royal wedding after all." Well, yea but I expected it to be in the 100 range, not the 300.

"Great," I let out a sigh as she brushes my face.

"Come on, it's not that bad,"

"I don't like crowds."

"But, you have to adjust because as the future princess consort, you will be interacting with beings every single day." Aww! But I don't like social interaction. It's an introvert's worst nightmare! "What lipstick do you want?"

"Um… I don't know. I don't usually put on makeup so…"

She smiles softly as she tilts her head. "I can see why. Truth to be told, you don't really need it, you have this natural beauty that every girl desires."

"Aw, Penelope," I cup my cheeks a bit. "You're too kind."

"That's the truth." She brushes my cheeks with a pink blush. "No wonder you caught His Highness's attention." She takes out the dark brown eyeliner pencil. "Ok, try not to blink." I nod as the pencil traces the upper parts of my eye. "Good, I'm just going to add some color here... and no need for fake eyelashes since you've already got them but," In her hands are what seems to be scissors. Scissors? My eyes widen as she raises a brow and looks at the device with a laugh. "I'm assuming you never used this before. It's an eyelash curler. It makes your long, fluttering eyelashes more prominent."

"Oh," I exhale a breath of relief.

She promptly curled my lashes with a smile as she readjusts my hair narrowing her green eyes with a frown. "Hmm..."

"Something wrong?"

"Ah-ha!" Her hands dug into a basket of accessories, finding a beautiful white flower and pins it in my hair. "That should do it."

"Can I look?" I turn my chair around as she immediately blocks the mirror with her body. Seriously?

"Sorry, but I promise, after you put on your wedding dress, you can look all you want." Her feet glide towards the closet and carefully pull out my dress. From the bodice, the botanical-inspired lace continues down the skirt in a unique mix of flowers, leaves, and vines. The gown's V-back is highlighted with lace appliques that cascade down the tulle skirt and train. Layers of richly-beaded lace and sequin create the most ornate bodice, which radiates shimmer and sparkle. The lace off-the-shoulder straps add to the effortless, totally romantic feeling for a touch of bridal magic—adding a classic element to this glamorous style. No matter how many times I have seen it, It looks absolutely stunning! Her eyes widen with a whistle. "Woah... this dress is sure something."

"Mhm!" My hands undo the robe, letting it fall to the ground as I changed into my dress with her help in zippering it up. "Perfect fit."

She shakes her head in awe as she touches up my makeup once more careful not to step on the long train behind me. "Prince Astral will faint if he sees you in this majestic dress."

A giggle escapes my lips. "Let's hope not."

"Ah, right," Her hands delicately pin something to my hair. "Me and my mouth. If the groom faints, then the wedding will be over. That cannot happen." She adjusts my hair for the final time and steps back with a grin. "You're dazzling!" Really?

"Can I have a look?" She eagerly nods and spins my chair around. My eyes widen at the person in the mirror. Long, silky wavy locks cascade down past my shoulder with a braid interwoven. On the side of my hair, a beautiful wedding hairpin made with porcelain flowers nestled amongst sprigs of dainty Ivory pearls with silver crystals and rhinestones, held my hair to the side while still maintaining that soft, romantic look. I stand up slowly not blinking. My eyelids have a soft glow to them as rose-colored eyeshadow dusted them briefly, my cheeks flush with a hint of light rose pink, and the use of mascara makes so that my amethyst eyes pop- overall, the soft and natural makeup look is achieved with a peach-colored lipstick that brings the whole look together giving it a feminine and eloquent vibe. Am I dreaming? I cautiously touch my cheek. "Is this me?"

The person behind me sits down on a chair with a smile. "You don't believe it huh?" I shake my head blinking a bit. I have considered myself pretty before but now to see this... this is unbelievable! "No worries, it happens to all of us."

I spin around and wrap my arms around her tightly with a huge smile. "Penelope, I love you so much!" A laugh escapes her lips as she pats my back.

"It's a part of my job, Your Highness." She summons up a shoebox. Inside it is a pair of white high heels decorated with pearl lace tassels and little flowers along the rim and back of where the heel is supposed to go. In the center of those flowers are carefully placed rhinestones making it sparkle with radiance. Even the shoe is pretty! "Try these on."

"I don't know..." I take them from her hands running my fingers over the decorations. "Although they look gorgeous, they're uncomfortable."

"Beauty is pain." I guess she's right. Her hand takes the shoe and one at a time place them onto my foot. "Now, try to stand up."

"What if I fall?" Not to mention...

(Flash):

"Your Highness, Lady Liliana," He said in a serious tone as we meet his gaze. "The first trimester, which is the first three months, is the most crucial. That means," He focuses his gaze onto me. "You have to be extra careful not to fall and/or do anything to harm the baby."

(Flash)

Considering that I'm not well versed in wearing high heels... This can pose a dilemma. "I will be right here to stabilize you." Hopefully, I won't regret this. I cautiously take her hand and stand up. My legs tremble as I gulp. "See? It isn't too bad, right?"

"You're right."

"Can you try walking?" I bite my lip as she smiles encouragingly. "You won't fall. I'll be right here."

"Alright," Her arm grips onto mine as I take baby steps. Don't fall. Don't you dare fall!

(Knock)(Knock)

"Yes?"

"Liliana, it's us."

"Enter." The door burst open and walks in my friends whose eyes all widen standing in shock with their jaws dangling. What's up with them? "Something on my face?"

"You look…" Her hazel eyes bore into mine while examining my dress with a critical gaze. Her chiffon flowy maxi evening dress features a classic v neckline and fluttery sleeves and comes in a perfect mauve shade that gives the whole look an ethereal vibe. Combine that with pearl earrings and a rhinestone hairpin to hold her locks into an elegant updo, it creates a sophisticated vibe filled with maturity. Oof… she looks dazzling. The blush-colored pumps highlight a trendy two-piece style complete with a charming bow accent and a sleek pointed toe. Even her shoes are elegant!

"Holy cow!" My white-haired friend said with an exhale. She's wearing a navy blue floor-length dress with a slit near her middle thigh. Her makeup is done so that her emerald eyes pop against her dress drawing your attention towards her face. Loose waves drape over her shoulders creating an innocent yet daring vibe as she tilts her head a bit. Wow. She looks fabulous. The high heel is dramatically elevated with a sparkling rhinestone strap that matches along with the hairpin of a dark blue flower with a shiny stone at its center.

"I thought he was exaggerating but I'm speechless!" My brown-haired friend is dressed in a pretty lavender-pink chiffon dress, ankle-length showing off her pumps embellished with silver rhinestones. As for her hair, her long brown locks have been styled into a crown braid with a raspberry heart-charmed hairpin holding it together creating a fun, yet graceful look.

I'm the speechless one! One is fun yet graceful, the other is innocent yet daring, and the third one is mature and sophisticated. Is it just me or does the way they dress resemble their personality? "You look stunningly beautiful!" The three of them exclaim as they walk over to me.

I sit down on the chair staring at myself stifling a laugh with the back of my hand. "Thanks, girls." My head turns to the person who is sporting a soft smile. "This is all thanks to Penelope. Without her, I wouldn't have a clue what to do."

"It was a pleasure to assist you, Your Highness."

Their eyes light up as they sport mischievous grins. What are they up to now? "How are you feeling?" She nudges me with a wink. "After today, you officially become a part of the royal family."

"Yea," A sigh escapes her lips. "Does that mean we're going to have to address you as Your Highness, Her Highness, and Princess Consort?"

I laugh as my friends touch my dress running their fingers around the decorations and lace. "Of course not. I will still be the same Liliana that you all know regardless of my rank."

"Really?" She bats her eyes innocently. "You're not going to become a snobby being because of your rank, are you?"

"What do you think?" I pat her shoulder with an eye roll. "No way that's happening." My eyes widen as a thought flies into my mind. "Where's Astrana?"

"She's-"

"Ahem, Astrana," My beloved's voice calls out from the hallway as I walk to the door listening to their conversation. "Are you sure you want to wear that dress?" What dress?

"For the fifth time, yes. I see nothing wrong with the color of it."

"I'm not talking about the color." He sighs. "I'm talking about the slit at the thigh and the fact that it's strapless."

"So? You didn't seem to have a problem when Star was wearing it."

"You two are different. One is my friend and the other is my younger sister." He emphasizes the word sister.

"I don't understand what you're so concerned about. It's a light blue strapless silk dress with a slit at the thigh down."

"That's exactly it! It's a strapless dress. Don't you think it's revealing a bit much?"

"Hm… I guess you have a point and yes, I see your problem. It is indeed a bit revealing but you meet with ladies that wear these sorts of dresses every day yet you never say anything about them." Really?

"That's because you are my younger sister and in case you missed it, the guys took one look at you and their faces were as red as tomatoes."

"Say, older brother, I bet when you saw those ladies in revealing dresses, your face was as red as theirs, right?" She said in a teasing tone as he laughs.

"As if I would let my mind wander and think something so indecent."

A giggle escapes her lips. "You sure?"

"I'm sure." He pauses with a soft sigh. "Look, are you positive that you want to wear this dress?"

"I mean… it looks good."

"Yes, it's aesthetically appealing to the eyes but are you comfortable in it?"

"I-"

"Son, ready to…" The king's voice said as he trails off. "Astrana, don't you think that's a bit revealing?"

"See?" My fiancé exclaims. "You agree as well, right?"

My friend sighs deeply. "But I like this color and style though. Mom, back me up here."

"Well…" The queen starts. "It's a bit revealing, especially in the cleavage area but it's nothing that a necklace can't fix."

"How does it look?" My friend asks as my fiancé clears his throat.

"Um…"

"I suppose that it's better with than without the necklace." It's revealing either way.

"Aw, come on, why are you two so overprotective?"

"I'm your father,"

"And I'm your older brother."

"Hey, I bet your fiancée's dress will be just as revealing."

I look into the mirror as my friends nod. "She's right, your back is showing. Well, yea but it's a part of the style.

"Perhaps but it's her wedding day. As long as it's not too revealing then it's fine by me." He said nonchalantly. "By the way, do you know that you're breaking one of the rules?"

"I am?"

"Ahem, no revealing or inappropriate dresses or clothes are to be worn by the members of the royal family." His father said.

"That's a rule?" She asks incredulously. "Lucky, is that why you dress formally all the time?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I thought it was a personal choice. I had no idea that was a rule. "As members of the royal family, we have to dress modestly."

She groans. "Mom, can you change that rule?"

"Are you saying you don't want to dress modestly?"

"It's not that I enjoy wearing something revealing. I just want the freedom to wear whatever I want without judgment." True. I certainly don't want to wear formal clothes every day.

"You do realize these rules only apply to public settings, right?"

"Eh? Then why does-"

A sigh escapes. "Since I'm the prince, I sometimes have to attend multiple meetings a day. With my schedule, it's hard to change your clothes roughly 5 times a day."

"Oh… so that's why I never see you in jeans and a t-shirt."

"Correct."

"I feel like I should go change now." My friend mutters.

"Don't worry about it," My love said. "As long as you like what you're wearing, there's no need to change."

"Really?! I love you!"

He chuckles. "Ok, enough hugging."

Astral's POV:

"Dada!" A young girl in a knee-length white dress that features a princess-cut satin bodice, a defined waist with a stylish bow, a knee-length organza skirt, and a lace-up back over a concealed back zip closure for a flawless finish, runs up to me as I lift her with a slight smile.

"Where have you been all morning?" My finger pokes her nose as a giggle escapes her lips. Wait a minute… a white dress?

"I have been playing hide and seek with Lord Derek." No wonder I haven't seen her all day.

"You have got to be kidding me!" My friend hollers across the hallway. "You were here this whole time?! I thought I lost you again."

She giggles and clings to my neck. My sister sighs. "Derek, I thought I told you to keep a close eye on her."

"I did but we were playing hide and seek." He looks at me with a chuckle. "I'm assuming I'm not in trouble?"

"Of course, you're not."

"Thank goodness because you were really terrifying." He shivers as they nod. Terrifying?

"How so?"

"Your glares and not to mention your predatory growls." My mother said as I blink. Are they that scary?

"Really?"

My father nods. "Yup."

My sister puts an arm around my shoulder with a laugh messing up my hair a bit. "I got to say, how is it that you have the sex appeal to attract people of the opposite gender as well?"

I shrug. "You ask me, who should I ask?"

"I swore that I saw his face grow to an unhealthy shade of red when you growled." He said in a sing-songy voice as I smack his head.

"You just had to bring that up, didn't you?"

My sister raises a brow. "Why did his face go red when you growled at him?"

"Ah, because he-"

"Derek, don't corrupt my sister." I glare at him making him inch back.

"What's sex appeal?" My daughter asks in an innocent voice as my eyes widen and she starts to laugh nervously.

"It's nothing that you should be concerned about at your age," I reply softly ruffling her hair. Hm… "Melody, where did you get this dress?"

"I found it in the closet." She answers happily. "Do you like it?"

My lips curve upwards. "Yes, it's pretty but the color is a problem."

Her head tilts a bit raising a brow. "The color? Is there something wrong with the color white?" How to break the news to her gently… hm…

"Well," I start. "It's not a bad color but it's not suitable for a wedding."

"Why's that?"

"Because it's the same color as the wedding dress."

"You mean Mommy's wearing the same color?" I nod. "Do, it's not an appropriate color on me?"

"Unfortunately, not," Her lips curve downwards as I poke her cheek. "But don't worry, you can wear any other color besides white."

She places her hand under her chin. "Um… How about pink?"

"Alright," I place her down so that she's standing a few feet away. "Stand still."

"Dada?" With a snap of my fingers her dress transforms into a light pink with the same style as the previous one except on her head lies a bow pulling her ombré hair to the side. My mother materializes a mirror as a tiny gasp escapes. "Waw…" Her tiny fingers run along with her delicate bow. "It's prettier than before!" Of course, it's pretty. Her body tackles me hugging my legs tightly with a bright smile. "I love you."

That word again. I gulp looking towards my parents as they raise a brow. Although I had some practice, it's still uncomfortable saying that word. My daughter frowns at my silence. "Daddy, you're supposed to say I love you back."

So I was right, I was supposed to say it back. A forced chuckle escape my lips as I pat her soft locks. "Melody, you know that I'm not comfortable saying those words."

She pouts. "But I see every parent say that to their child. All except you." Well… "Plus, you need practice saying it for mommy's sake."

"Why would you say that?"

"Because," Her hands hold mine. "She loves you."

(Flash):

"I love you, Astral. That fact will never change!"

(Flash)

"What are you," A smile crosses my face as I pick her up. "Playing Cupid now?"

She giggles. "I'm willing to play matchmaker if that means that you love her." I roll my eyes playfully. "Do you not love Mommy?"

My eyes widen. Well… it's hard to say. I still don't know what romantic love feels like and I don't know how I feel about her yet. "I… uh…" How should I go about saying this?

"Melody," A voice calls in my room as her eyes brighten.

"Mommy!" She wiggles free from my grasp. "Come on," Her hand tugs mine with a smile. "Let's go see her."

"I can't." She cocks her head to the side looking back at me in confusion.

"Why not?"

"Because it's unlucky to see her before the ceremony." That's the most ridiculous rule that I have ever heard.

Her eyes turn to my parents as they nod. "It's true, they can't see each other before the wedding."

"Oh," She glances towards the door once more. "Can I go see her?"

"Of course," My sister pecks my cheek and holds her hand. "Let's go. I want to see her too."

"I second that," My friend said as he opens the door and slip in. Great…

"Son," My mother makes a come hither motion with her fingers as I tilt my head to the side moving towards her.

"Yes?" Her arms bring me into an embrace as I stiffen. "Mother?"

"I never thought that I would see the day when you're going to get married." Her arms tighten around my neck as I pat her back.

"But didn't you see it during the arranged- Ow!" She elbows him with a look of disapproval.

"He doesn't remember that and must you talk about that on this day?"

He forces a chuckle. "My bad." What are they talking about?

"Is there something I'm supposed to know?"

"That's none of your concern." He hastily places a hand on my shoulder. "Anyway, I know you don't remember anything but how are you feeling towards her?" And there's that question I was expecting.

I purse my lips as they glance at each other. Hm…

(Flash):

My eyes flutter open like a camera focusing with a groan as I roll to the side. Why can't I move my body? A yawn escapes my lips as my vision focuses. Huh…! I stiffen as memories of last night come rushing back. Oh… so I can't move because… My face heats up as I gulp and try to remove her leg from my waist. I can do this. Ok, now I need to-

(Kick)

Pain erupts in my stomach as I end up on the cold, hard carpeting. My head bangs on the edge of the bed making a hiss erupt from my mouth. "Ow! What did you do that for?"

Her eyes narrow as she sits up covering herself with a blanket. "What were you doing in that position?"

"Like I wanted to be in that position." I hiss rubbing the side of my head. "Must I remind you that you were the one grasping onto my hand pretending it as a chicken wing?"

My fiancée's eyes widen with a shade of crimson red on her cheeks. "O-Oh?"

A sigh escapes my lips as I stand up. "Why would I lie to you about that? Just for the record," I open up my closet door. "I didn't do anything to you if that's your concern."

My fingers unbutton my shirt. "No. I'm sorry I overreacted. I shouldn't have kicked you off the bed."

"Eh, don't worry about it," I toss my shirt into the hamper and button up my new shirt. "That's the normal response." A pair of arms wrap around my waist pressing her body against my back. "Hey," I stiffen. "What are you doing?"

"I'm hugging you." Her arms wrap around my waist tighter.

"I have to change." I undo her arms. "So, let go."

"Mmm," A whine escapes her lips as she tightens her grip. "Don't wanna."

"Come on."

"I can help you change if you want."

"No way-" My eyes widen as a pair of lips press softly into the side of my neck. W-What is she… "Hey, uh, L-Liliana…" I wiggle in her grasp making her lips rub against that spot. My heart accelerates as a growl escapes my mouth. D-Did I just…

"You're enjoying this, my love." I shiver as she pins me to the wall with her lips inches apart from mine.

I got to calm myself. "What are you doing?"

Her fingers trace my chest with a wink as I suppress a growl from existence. "Isn't it obvious?"

"I thought you said you wouldn't do anything to make me uncomfortable."

She giggles rubbing her nose against mine. My heart hammers violently as the scent of cherry blossoms and vanilla fills my nostrils. "Did you switch perfume?"

"Mhm. I figured it was time for a switch." Her lips curve into a smirk. "Wanna guess what it is?" Hm… My fiancée leans closer as the subtle scent grows stronger.

"Vanilla, cherry blossoms, sandalwood, jasmine… and…" What's the last one? "Um, am I missing one?"

She giggles tilting her head cutely. "Lily of the valley, lavender, and a hint of Asian pear." Ohhhhh, no wonder it has a subtle fruity scent.

"And to answer your question," Her fingers cup my face staring at me with a slight smile. "Yes, I know what I said, but did you forget our wedding is today?"

"How could I forget?" People have been saying it all week.

"Don't you think we should practice?"

I gulp as she leans closer. "Practice? Practice for what?" Calm down. Why is my heart beating so fast?

"The wedding kiss, of course." Her thumb touches my lip gently lifting my head to meet her gaze. "Don't you think so, my beloved?"

"A k-kiss?"

"We're going to have to do it in front of a ton of people."

"Y-Yes but,"

"We kissed before, my love."

"I… I'll figure something out for that kiss."

Her lips curve into a pout. "Are you saying you don't want to kiss me?" Uh…

"That's not what-"

I shiver as her hand rest on my chest. "Then you do want to kiss me?"

"I… uh…" Why am I so flustered?

My fiancée pecks my nose with a giggle. "I'm joking, my love. Look at you getting all flustered."

"I am not flustered." She smirks giving a lingering kiss on my cheek near the corner of my lips. My body freezes not daring to move. Oh lord. She's way too close to my lips… if I move a tiny bit then our lips will touch.

"Your Highness, pardon the intrusion but…" A male voice rings out as we turn our heads to meet brown eyes. And here's the misunderstanding. His eyes widen as he averts his eyes with a blush. "Ah, I-I'm sorry for intruding." A cough escapes his mouth as he spins on his heel. "Please continue."

"It's not what it looks like!" I exclaim as my fiancée pecks my forehead with a smirk.

"I guess we have to continue this later, my beloved." Her eyelashes bat innocently, kissing me on the cheek, and sashays to the restroom.

What just happened? My heart beats rapidly as my hand touch the corner of my lip. Her soft… no no no! "Waltari," Don't think about that. "Don't inform anyone about this." I snap my gaze at him as he nods.

(Flash)

"She's… an interesting woman," I confess after a few minutes. "She's something else. I can tell you that for certain."

My parents glance at each other. "What makes you say that?"

"I don't know."

My mother lets out a sigh. "Son, you said that she's interesting yet you don't know why you think that?"

"Perhaps," I begin. "Perhaps it's because she's unpredictable."

"Unpredictable?"

"Yes." A sigh escapes my lips. "She's not behaving in the way that I expect her to in these situations." At their confused faces, I elaborated. "I never seem to know what she's going to do next." Perhaps it has to do with her impulse nature? That could be the case considering this morning… My face heats up as I gulp. Ack! Stop thinking about that!

My father raises a brow. "Are you… blushing?"

"Me? Blush?" A chuckle escapes my mouth as I wave a hand dismissively. "Father, I think you need glasses."

"Hahaha," His tone drips with sarcasm. "I'm certain that my eyes are fine."

"Lucky," My sister pokes her head outside the door with an expression of disbelief. "Try not to faint at the altar."

"What are you talking about? Why would I go and do such a thing?"

"Because," My friend walks up to me with an arm around my shoulder. "She looks like an Angel." An Angel?

"Brandon, don't you think you're exaggerating a bit?"

His eyes widen. "Of course not! She's radiant, stunning, beautiful, gorgeous, ethereal-"

"Ok, that's-"

"Aww!" My fiancée said with excitement. "Thanks, but that's not true."

"What the? Liliana, you're too humble you know that? You're the prettiest woman here."

"Hey!" My friend pokes her head out the door glaring at him. "Are you saying that we're not pretty?"

He rubs the back of his neck with a gulp. "Estrella, um, that's not what I meant."

A sigh escapes her lips. "I know that you two had a past but still, biased much?"

(Flash):

"I can't believe you are this cruel. We had such a fun and loving time together before you left me two years ago."

(Flash):

"One of it is on your left breast. The shape is a heart. The other one is on your upper back in the shape of a beautiful flower."

(Flash)

Why? When I remember that conversation that he had with her… why does my chest tighten and feel so heavy?

(Flash):

"There's a term for that."

"There is?"

"Mhm. It's called jealousy."

(Flash)

Jealousy… is that the emotion I'm experiencing right now? But why? Why do I… My eyes widen as a thought clicks. Is it love? Nah, it can't be that. What was I thinking? No way that can be it. She's wrong.

A hand touches my shoulder as I jump. "Astral, what are you thinking?"

My head turns to meet jet black hair and brown eyes. "I'm fine, Zach."

"You sure?"

"Yea, just thinking about some things that's all." I've got to get it together. This is my wedding after all. What am I supposed to do about the wedding kiss though?

"Dada," A young girl runs up to me with her arms out as I lift her up carefully. "Mommy is beautiful."

"She is huh?" My finger pokes her nose as she nods rapidly. I wonder how pretty she is. I mean, I'll admit, she's… her looks are attractive.

"Son," My father interrupts us as I put her down. His lips curve upwards pulling me into a hug as I blink. Eh? He pats my shoulder with a tender curvature of the lips. "Marriage is a fun adventure that is full of surprises, twists, and turns. As someone who has been married for a long time," He glances at my mother then looks back towards me. "I am still on this exciting journey. And I have to say that it never gets old, being married to the person that you love. Love one another, pay attention to each other, and learn to put the other first."

"Even if you don't remember anything," My mother chimes in with tears in her eyes. "Treat her with respect and love her to the best of your ability." She sniffles as my father rubs her shoulder. Mother, Father…

I glance towards the door with a smile. "Thank you." My mother tackles me as my hands pat her back. "Mother, don't worry. Even if I get married, I'm still your son."

He lets out a sigh. "Honey, I know that it's hard to let him go but must you cry on his wedding day? Your makeup's going to get ruined."

Her eyes widen. "What am I doing?" She sniffles drying her tears with the back of her hand. "I shouldn't be crying on a day like this."

"Don't worry about it," I said with a smile. Should I say those three words? Hmm… whatever. Let's give it a try. They're my parents after all. "Mom, Dad," Their eyes widen as all of my friends' jaw drops.

"Did he just refer to them as…"

"Someone pinch me."

"Ow! Zach, not that hard!"

"You asked me to pinch you."

"But not that hard."

"Why is everyone so shocked?"

"Astrana, he never refers to them as mom and dad. Not since he was a child."

"I mean, on occasions, he would refer to his parents as mom and dad but very rarely."

"Why is that the case?"

"This is a guess but perhaps it had to do with his position of a Prince. You know all of the rules and regulations that he's put under."

"Ah, makes sense."

"And not to mention that incident when he was-"

"Derek, I thought we said to never bring that up again!"

"Huh?"

"It's none of your concern, Astrana."

My hands grasp theirs looking into their gazes. "I love you two." Yes! I managed to say it without stuttering!

"You called me by mom!" My parents tackle me tightly wrapping their arms around me with sniffles. "Y-You haven't referred to me as such since you were a kid."

"Really?"

"Yup." He sniffles holding me tighter. "All I ever hear from your mouth is Father, never Dad."

I wonder why that was the case. Did I not like the term? The language? "Say it again."

"Mom, Dad, I love you two." They hug me even tighter as I can feel tears drip onto my neck. I know that they would get emotional but why do they act like I never said those words to them?

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything, Mother."

She pulls back with a frown. "Stop referring to me as mother all the time."

"But-"

"I know but we're not at court discussing politics with the officials right now. So stop being so formal with us." Hmm… it couldn't hurt to switch it up once in a while.

"Ok, Dad."

Liliana's POV:

"Honey," The door opens as my parents step in. "How are you holding up?"

"It's fine." My gaze turns to the person adjusting my hair a bit. "Penelope, can you wait outside for a moment?"

"Of course, Lady Liliana," The door shuts gently as my parents sit down beside me on the bed.

"To think that you're about to get married," She sniffles looking at me teary-eyed. "It's just so fast."

"Mom…"

"She's right," He holds my hand. "A blink of an eye and you're about to leave us."

"What are you two talking about? Since when will I be leaving you?"

"In a few minutes." That's not wrong.

"Mom, Dad," I clasp their hands with mine as they look at me with tears glistening. "I'm getting married, not going away forever."

"Still," Tears stream down her cheeks. "I imagined this day since you were born and to see it happen right now. It's just too fast!"

He lets out a sigh. "Carissa, try to get a hold of yourself. Your makeup is messed up."

"How can I? Our daughter is about to get married." My mom chokes out as another sob rings through the room. I pat their backs as they hug me tightly.

"I will still be here. You can visit the palace anytime you like." A lump forms in my throat as I blink back the tears. I can't cry. I cannot cry right now. This is supposed to be a happy day.

"Lily, are you…" My father wipes my tears with a tissue. "Don't cry, it will ruin your makeup."

"My love, I told you to control your sadness, didn't I? Now our daughter is crying."

"I couldn't help it," She sniffles wiping her tears. "How do you expect to react when she's getting married?"

"Mom," I put my hand up to my mouth as tears drip onto my dress. "Can I not get married?" Their eyes widen. "That way I can stay by your side forever and ever." My arms wrap tightly around their necks as more tears leak from my eyes.

My father pats my back with a chuckle. "We appreciate the thought but I'd rather not."

"Your father is right. You should do what your heart desires. Don't get married because of us." She pulls back as I stare into her baby blue eyes. "And no need to worry, we promise if we have free time, we will visit you okay?"

"Oh," She reaches into her purse and hands me a box. "Go ahead. This is from your father and me."

"What is it?"

"Open it and you shall see."

Considering the box… is it a necklace? My hands open the box as a bright silver light emits from it making me squint. What on earth? The light fades after a moment as I draw a sharp intake of breath. W-Why this is…

"Since you were born, we had this necklace made from the most durable, pure, and beautiful elements from this planet in hopes that one day, when the time comes, we can see you shine like a star."

"Looks like the time has come." I… I don't even know how to describe the luminosity of it. I-It's so… it's like a star. Elegant, luminous, radiant like a star that never ceases to sparkle.

"I…" Tears stream down my cheeks as I cover my mouth to prevent breaking down. "Mom, I… this is too valuable. I don't deserve t-this."

"Look at me," He calls gently as I meet his ruby eyes. "You're our daughter. Of course, you deserve this necklace. We had this made for you."

"B-But-"

"But nothing." She interrupts gently with a smile. "You're our daughter. You deserve the best there is out there in this world."

"Mom," I tackle her into an embrace resting my head against her chest as she strokes my hair. "I love you."

Her lips curve upwards. "I love you too, my baby girl."

"Ok," My father claps. "Stop it with the tears you two. Lily, your makeup is ruined. If we keep this up, we're going to be late." I give him a peck on his cheek as he blinks.

"You're the best father ever." I wrap my arms around him stifling a cry. "I love you, daddy."

His fist clenched as he pats my back gently. "I love you too, my little flower." His voice trembles pulling me closer as a exhale escapes with a sob. Daddy.

"Ok," He pulls back after a few moments drying his tears with a smile. "Let your mother put the necklace on for you." I hand her the box as she carefully takes it out and places it around my neck. "You look gorgeous with that necklace."

"Dad, I'm a mess right now." I glance towards the door. "Penelope!"

It creeks open as her eyes widen. "Oh my!" Her hands cover her mouth in horror.

"Do you think you can fix it?" I ask sheepishly as she promptly drags me to the chair with a drape around my chest.

"My mistake, Lady Liliana. I should've used waterproof mascara."

"Don't worry about it. It's not your fault." Hopefully, it won't take long. "Oh, are they still outside the room?"

"No, Their Majesties went on ahead to attend to the guests along with the Princess and Prince." No wonder it's so quiet.

After 5 minutes:

Wow… it looks brand new! "Penelope, you're the best!" She giggles adjusting my hair once more. "It's incredible how you can make it look like nothing happened in five minutes."

"You're too kind, Lady Liliana."

"No. My daughter is right," My mother said. "You have an incredible talent."

"Thank you, Countess Carissa." She purses her lips as her eyes narrow. "Hm…" Her hand picks up the lipstick with a smile. "All set!"

Astral's POV:

My eyes widen at the person walking down the aisle with her father. Oh wow… they weren't kidding when they said that she looked beautiful. Long, silky wavy dark locks cascade down past her shoulder with a delicate braid interwoven. On the side of her hair, a beautiful wedding pin made with porcelain flowers nestled amongst sprigs of dainty Ivory pearls with silver crystals and rhinestones, held her hair to the side while still maintaining that soft, romantic look. Her eyelids have a soft glow as rose-colored eyeshadow dusted them briefly, her cheeks flush with a hint of light rose pink, and the use of mascara makes so that her ethereal amethyst eyes pop- overall, the soft and natural makeup look is achieved with a peach-colored lipstick that brings the whole look together giving it a feminine and eloquent vibe. Now, I understand why they told me to not faint at the altar. She looks… like a goddess. A flicker of light catches my eye. Is that…! Where did she get such a radiant necklace?

Everyone stares at her unblinkingly as she walks gracefully down the altar. The guys have blushes on their cheeks as for the ladies, they stare in awe as all is silent. She was beautiful before but now… My face heats up as I gulp. Why is it so warm?

(Pulse)

Aw, come on seriously?! I grit my teeth as a wave of pain shoots through my skull.

(Flash):

"Please welcome, The Flower Deity." A dark-haired woman walks down the aisle wearing a stunning dress that leaves the guests in shock. Her high heels click and clack against the marble floor as she makes her way up to the altar. Beside her, stands a man wearing a navy suit holding her hands with a gentle smile.

A woman in a strapless light grey dress stands in between them. "We have come today to share in the joy of my son Xxxxxx, The Jade Emperor, and The Flower Deity of all the six realms, Lady Xxxxxxx's wedding. This outward celebration we shall see and hear is an expression of the inner love and devotion they have in their hearts. It also represents the unification between the flower realm and the six realms. With this marriage, may they live in peace and prosperity till the end of time!"

(Flash)

Ow… what did I see? Was it a memory? If that was the case then why were their faces blurred? I blink rapidly as my fiancée walk up to the altar with a soft smile. Her dress… wasn't it that dress The Flower Deity was wearing in my vision? "Astral, I'm counting on you to take good care of her, or else you'll be in huge trouble."

He hands her hand to mine as I nod. "I will heed your warning and treat her with respect."

My father-in-law pats my shoulder. "You'd better." His gaze drift towards his daughter with a smile then walks off the altar sitting in the front row.

The minister clears his throat. "We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments. This is a special time of celebration that the two of you will long remember and we are privileged to share today's wonderful occasion with you. We are here, not only to witness your commitment to each other but also to wish you both every happiness in your future life together as husband and wife." He pauses to take a breath as the audience coughs. How can he remember that without cue cards?

"Marriage is a supreme sharing, perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure in the most intimate of relationships. It is the joyful uniting of two individuals whose care and affection and understanding have bloomed into a deep and abiding love. Those who take its vows have their lives blended into one, as the waters of two rivers are joined when they come together to form an even greater one." Wow. Is this the traditional version or…? I glance up at my parents who give me a thumbs up with a smile.

"Marriage is not a place to hide from the world. It is a safe place to grow and become wiser. It is a place to evolve into better people; so that you can go out in the world and make a difference by spreading the joy and wisdom that you have found with each other. Marriage is the beginning of a new life, a chance at fulfilling long-held dreams, and an opportunity for great personal and spiritual growth. Marriage continues to live as a promise of a beautiful dream come true. As long as individuals are drawn together by that dream, marriage will be a natural unfolding of that relationship." Does he think that I don't know what marriage is? Why is he going so in-depth about this?

"No ceremony can create your marriage. Only you can do that through love, patience, dedication, perseverance-through talking and listening and trying to understand-through help and supporting and believing in each other-through learning to forgive, learning to respect and appreciate your differences, and learning to make the important things matter and to let go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you have made to begin a new life today as husband and wife." He finishes as he gulps down a cup of water. Ohhhhh… that's what the cup was for. Now that is over with…

"At this time, I would like to acknowledge our Bride and Groom's parents on this wonderful occasion. The unconditional gifts of love and support that you have continually offered have inspired them to become who they are, and they thank you, from the bottom of their hearts, for guiding them to this celebration of love. As you have watched and guided them and encouraged them to be the people they are today, so have you been there when they found each other. And today they should be here before you, as they have always been, to ask you to witness their joining. They ask that you will still be there in difficult times and joyous ones and to give them your guidance. Without you, this day would not be possible." Is it me or is this longer than I remember? Well, this part isn't so bad.

He takes a breath and gulps down his water again. "In committing to one another today, in the spirit of being born new to one another, you kindle each other's divine light and promise always to see that light in one another-to nurture and tend that divine flame in your partner as best you can each day-especially at the times it may be hardest to see, and the times your partner may doubt or forget the existence of that light within him-or herself." With a wave of a hand, two candles appear. "We will now ask the mother of the bride and groom to come forward to light each side candle."

My mother and my mother-in-law come up to the altar with grins as they light the candles. "Mother," My fiancée whispers holding onto her arm. "Is a ceremony always this long?"

She giggles softly. "No, but if you two want to blame someone, blame your little sister. She's the one who ordered the minister to drag this out as long as possible." Why this little… I subtly glare at her in the audience as she waves smiling innocently as my friends suppress their laughs. How much longer will this take? We have a photoshoot to get to. Our mothers give us an encouraging smile and walk back to their seats. I meet my fiancée's gaze with a sigh as she nods.

"As you bring your flames together to symbolically form the new and greater flame of your marriage, never forget that the light of your union is made up of your unique, individual expressions. The candle you lit together symbolizes your marriage, your willingness to surrender to something greater than yourself. May the light of your marriage be a beacon in the night, a safe harbor from the storms of life. May your future be made infinitely brighter by the light and the love that you share." I got to give him props for dragging this out for the last five minutes. I'm impressed!

"Today you join your separate lives together. Before you met, your lives were on separate roads, each going in different directions and leading to different destinations. But somewhere along the way you met, fell in love, and today you find yourselves standing together at the entrance of a new path that will forever join your once separate journeys into one. Before each of you, there is a container of sand." He materializes two sand containers in front of us. Sand? Gee… Astrana, you better run as fast as you can!

"Each represents the separate journeys you once were on, as well as your own sets of friends and families that once were apart. In a moment, I will ask that you blend your individual containers of sand together, representing the coming of your friends and family into one through your marriage. And as the sand is blended into one container, your once solitary journeys will now be one of companionship, as you walk a single path together into your future."

"I now ask that you blend your containers of sand together." I pour my sand into her container as he nods with a smile. "As the sand has blended together, your lives are now joined, your separate journeys through life are now one. Your friends and family are as one as well, for now, you will share those who are in your lives and will walk hand-in-hand along the path of your marriage - united and strong as husband and wife, as inseparable as these grains of sand." Sand… huh. How interesting.

"There are several family members and friends that we would like to remember today. We will now take a moment, closing our eyes and bringing to mind those loved ones who could not be here today. Though they are absent physically, we welcome them through our thoughts and share in their loving presence. Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say, 'I love you.' It is cultivating flexibility, understanding, and a sense of humor. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives, standing together, and facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating your love for each other in many thoughtful ways. Happiness in marriage is doing things for each other in the spirit of love and having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner." Some of the beings in the audience yawn rubbing their eyes as I slowly turn my head towards him. He smiles with a shrug and continues his speech. "A successful marriage is not something that just happens. It takes work, it takes patience, and it takes time. It takes a commitment from both of you... a commitment to do whatever it takes to make your relationship thrive and not just simply survive."

"Prince Astral," He turns towards me. "Do you take this woman for your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health as long as we both shall live? If so, please answer, I do."

My gaze drifts to her with a smile. "I do."

"Lady Liliana, do you take this man for your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health as long as we both shall live? If so, please answer, I do."

She returns my smile with her own. "I do."

He clears his throat again sipping his water. "Let the seamless circle of these rings become the symbol of your endless love and unending faithfulness. Your wedding rings are most special because they say that even in your uniqueness you have chosen to be bonded, to allow the presence of another being to enhance who you are. As you wear them through time, they will reflect not only who you are but also the union you are making, the fact that throughout the rest of your lives each of you will be imprinted by the other, yet as yourself remain. God, bless these rings and the two who exchange them. Fill them with your Holy Presence. Keep them safe in the circle of Your protection and love." He waves his hand to make two rings appear on a pillow.

"With this ring, I pledge my love and life to you," I said as I, slide off her engagement ring to put the wedding band on. Then I slide back the engagement ring on top.

She takes my hand and slides the band on my finger gently. "With this ring, I pledge my love and life to you." Too late to turn back now.

The minister speaks again. "Wear these rings as the enclosing bond of reverence and trust. Fulfill the circle of love that now makes you one."

"As the two of you come into this marriage uniting you as husband and wife, and as you this day affirm your faith and love for one another, I would ask that you always remember to cherish each other as special and unique individuals, that you respect the thoughts, ideas, and suggestions of one another. Be able to forgive, do not hold grudges, and live each day that you may share it together – as from this day forward you shall be each other's home, comfort and refuge, your marriage strengthened by your love and respect." This must be the conclusion. "May the love that has brought you together, continue to grow and enrich your lives. May you meet with courage the problems that arise to challenge you, And may your relationship always be one of love and trust. May the happiness you share today be with you always, And may every word you have pledged here be a living truth in your lives."

"The two of you are now joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever you go, may you always return to one another in your togetherness. May you two find in each other the love for which all men and women long. May you grow in understanding and compassion. May the home you establish be such a place of sanctuary that all who visit will find a friend there. You have openly declared your wishes to be united in marriage, and in the presence of these witnesses have pledged love to each other, and have confirmed the same by joining hands, exchanging rings, and declaring your vows, It is the greatest joy and privilege to declare you husband and wife." That took forever. It was painstakingly long. And what was with the sand?

"You may now kiss the bride." My face pales. Oh yea… during all the commotion, I forgot that I have to kiss her. What to do what to do now? Ah-ha!

Her face grows crimson as I pull her closer by the waist. "My love, you don't have to force yourself to-"

"They're expecting a kiss," I whisper as she wraps her arms around my neck. The scent of cherry blossoms fills my nose as I gulp. Hopefully, it works. "Don't move, ok?" My head tilts at an angle as my hand cups her cheek. I casually place my thumb over her lips and seal the distance between us. Her eyes widen as she pulls me closer. The audience starts clapping and cheering as I slowly pull back. And done.

"May I present to you, The Prince and the Princess Consort of this world!" He holds both of our hands as they all stand. "Long live Your Highnesses!"

Liliana's POV:

"That's it." A camera clicks as I lay my hand on his chest gazing up at him. He wraps his arms around my waist pulling me closer. "Amazing!"

"Keep this position, Your Highnesses." The camera clicks rapidly as he walks around us. "Fantastic!"

"Your Highness, please take a step back and wrap your arms around her waist." My beloved did just that pulling me closer as I glance back at him with a slight smile. He smiles back as I peck his nose. "Ah! That's going on the front page."

"No, don't-"

My lips curve downwards as I lean closer. "What is that supposed to mean?"

He gulps with a red tint on his cheeks. "Ahem, focus on the camera."

"No no no, Princess Consort, keep looking at him. It's way more romantic that way." Yes! "Now, spin around and lay a hand on his cheek."

My eyes widen as a sharp stabbing pain shoots through my skull. What on earth? I hiss as my feet stumble back. Oh no…! A sharp intake resonates as a hand quickly reaches to grab mine pulling me forward with an arm wrapping around my waist causing me to dip a bit. "Are you alright?" My love asks gently with concern as my heart thumps faster. That look…

The camera shutters rapidly as my purples stare into his gold and silvers not uttering a word. "Thank you, my love," I whisper as he pulls closer as my arms wrap around his neck securely.

"Silly," He lets out a minuscule smile. "No need to be so formal with me. Besides, you've got to be more careful. It wouldn't do anyone good if you fall."

The camera shutters rapidly in the background as we stare at each other unblinking. Wait a minute… that look in his eyes. That's… could it be that… I lay one of my hands on his cheek as my husband pulls me closer tightening his grip on my waist with our faces inches apart. He's not pushing me away.

He leans until our forehead touches. I can feel his nose tickling my lips. The scent of sandalwood fills my nostrils. His heartbeat thumps rapidly in his chest as my husband slowly shuts his eyes. Is he finally going to… My lips curve into a smile as I close my eyes tilting my head at an angle. The camera shutters even more as a pair of soft lips press against mine.

My heart increases at the familiarity of his lips that haven't touched mine in a long time. So soft! My stomach flutters as a wave of warmth flow through me. All of my worries cease as my body responds to the kiss. I pull him closer deepening the kiss that I so desperately need as he rubs them against mine making a soft moan escape. I don't want this to end! Who knows when I get to kiss him again. His arms pull me closer as he opens his mouth a bit sucking on my lower lip. This… I wonder if he would let me do this? I gently suck on his upper lip gauging his reaction. Did I go too far? My husband shivers with a tiny growl. So hot.

"Hey, you two-Ah!" We immediately separate breathing heavily glancing at the door. "I-I didn't see anything."

"Lady Estrella, why did you have to interrupt? I was getting pure gold! The ratings will go sky high!"

My friend giggles. "Sorry," A blush dust her cheeks. "You two continue where you left off okay?" The door closes as I meet my husband's eyes. Aw, I was hoping it to be a bit longer.

My husband coughs. "Um… is there anything else you would like us to do?"

"Ah, yes," The cameraman snaps from his shock and pulls up a chair. "Your Highness, please sit on the chair." He shrugs and sits on the black chair with a head tilt. "Princess Consort, you know what to do, right?" Yup.

I glide over and plop myself sideways on his lap wrapping my arm around his neck as he tenses. "Get off me." He whispers as I lean closer to his ear.

"This is a part of the shoot." I wink as the camera clicks. "So, about that kiss…"

His cheeks grow bright red as he avoids my gaze. "I-I um… I didn't mean to." Oh? He didn't mean to huh?

My eyes narrow. "You seemed absorbed during that kiss, my dear husband."

"T-That was because… uh…"

I lean closer with a smile as his face grows to an unhealthy shade of red. "Because of what, my love?" My nose rub against his as he gulps breathing deeply. "Also, you lost, my love."

"I didn't lose." He whispers. "There's still one more component." That three-word phrase.

"It's only a matter of time until you say it."

"This is going on the cover as well!" He squeals in delight as I lean back. "This is so much better than last time."

"Last time? What happened-"

"Ok," I swiftly peck my husband's lips as he stares at me wordlessly. "Any more poses we have to do?"

"No," He clicks through the photos on the camera with a smile. "This should be enough."

"Alright," My beloved stares at me expectantly. I blink blankly as he sighs. "Can you get off me?"

"Do I have to?"

"Yes, I have to entertain the guests." He pauses as I get off him. "You go wait in the room first."

My lips drew together into a pout as I wrap my arms around his neck. "What are you doing?"

"Don't take too long, my beloved husband." My hands cup his cheeks with a peck on his forehead.

"Ok," He pushes me away gently and straightens his clothes. "See you later."

The back of my hand stifles a giggle as the door opens. We kissed! Yes! "Mommy," A tug on my dress makes me look down. "Where did dada go?"

"Honey," I pick her up pecking her cheek. "He's off in the crowd somewhere. Want to go up to the room and wait for him?"

"Yup!" She wraps her arms around my neck. "Let us go!"

My finger pokes her forehead as she giggles. "Alright, alright, I'm going."

Maria's POV:

"Maria, is that you?" My heart stops as the voice that haunts my dreams every night suddenly rings through my ears as clear as day. No way… I must be hearing things. There's no way that he's here. "It is you." Why is he here? Why now? Why appear in my life again when I try my best to forget him?

(Flash):

"Will you marry me?" He opens a jewelry box housing a stunning six-carat diamond with two small ones on each side. "This ring is a three-stone cut. For me, it represents our past, present, and future together. I cannot see another woman that I'm willing to share my life with other than you." He pauses with a deep breath staring into my eyes. "Maria, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?"

(Flash)

That ring… I gulp as I turn around with a smile. "Anwir, fancy meeting you here."

He approaches me with a slight smile. "It's a shock meeting you here as well. I got to admit, you look stunning as ever." I want to barf.

"Your kind words are very much appreciated. You're not so shabby yourself." I glance at the clock. "Oh, look at the time, I have to-"

"I'm sorry." My body freezes as he utters those words. Did he just… "I'm sorry for everything that I've done to you." He's apologizing? Him? Hahahaha! "I-"

My fist clenches. "I was right. You really are pathetic." His eyes widen as I glare at him. "Do you honestly think that two measly little words can reverse the emotional and psychological trauma that you caused me?" My body trembles as a dizzy spell courses through my skull. "Do you know what it feels like to have the one you love the most, who you trust, who you thought was going to never betray you, say those cold, damaging words, and slap you in the face? Do you know the pain, the heart-shattering pain that I went through because of you?" I gulp as my throat locks. My finger points to him breathing heavily. "Do you have any idea what it is like to see your fiancé and your friend cheating? One of my friends that I view as a sister gets caught in an affair with my fiancé." My heart rate picks up as my vision wavers a bit. No… this can't happen now. Please, let me finish my train of thought. Darn it! "You don't know, do you?" I plant my feet on the ground gritting my teeth. Don't pass out. I must not show a moment of weakness in front of this bastard!

"I…" He looks down. "I'm sorry."

A hollow chuckle escapes my lips. "All you ever say is I'm sorry. When are you going to man up and take responsibility for your actions?" My vision wavers again as the room starts spinning. Curse you blood sugar levels!

"You were the cause of it!" He glares at me. "If you didn't hang around His Highness all the time then maybe I wouldn't have cheated. It's all your fault."

"My… fault?" My breathing goes ragged as I see dark spots again. "If you… weren't jealous and suspicious all the time-"

"You hung around him all the time. Am I not supposed to get jealous? You acted like he's your fiancé."

"I…" I take sharp intakes of breaths to prevent myself from falling. "You will never be able to surpass him no matter… how hard you try."

"And why's that? You lost to the Princess Consort, didn't you?" He jerks my wrist with a glare. "Wake up Maria! He doesn't like you that way. Why must you waste your time and effort beside him if he doesn't reciprocate your feelings?" Did he misunderstand something? Since when did I say that I see him as a romantic partner?

My eyelids start to droop as my vision blurs. Oh no… A pair of sturdy arms wrap around my waist to stabilize me. Who? I crack my eyes open to find my friend staring at me in concern. "A-Astral?"

"Here, eat a cookie to stabilize your sugar levels." How does he know? My friend glares at my ex menacingly. "We meet again."

"Yes," His eyes narrow. "We indeed meet again. First of all, congratulations on your marriage."

"Thank you for your kind words."

"Secondly, why did you seduce her." Seduce? He didn't seduce me into doing anything. Is he still under the impression that I like him?

My friend cocks his head to the side. "Seduce? You dare accuse me of such a thing? You were the one who broke her heart. You, her fiancé, cheated on her with her friend of all people. Don't you see your fault here?"

"If she didn't hang around you all the time, would I have been suspicious and cheated on her?"

He chuckles darkly. "Oh, so it's all her fault? She's right, you really are pathetic."

Liliana's POV:

Just great. I rush downstairs as my daughter follows behind me. I left my purse at the reception. A crowd of beings blocks my view as I lift up my child. What on earth is going on? "Your Highness,"

"Please rise. What is going on?"

The man gulps. "Princess Consort, His Highness…"

My eyes widen. "What happened?"

"Lily," My friend pulls me to the side. "Let's get out of here first."

"Why?" My white-haired friend drags my wrist as I hold my ground. "What's going on that I can't see?"

"Just trust us." My brown-haired friend comes up behind me as the wall of beings blocks my view of the center. "We will explain everything later." Something's wrong here.

"Estrella, Star, where's my husband?"

"He's fine. Now let's-"

"Seduce? You dare accuse me of such a thing? You were the one who broke her heart. You, her fiancé, cheated on her with her friend of all people. Don't you see your fault here?" My husband's voice rings out from the crowd as I look around. Huh?

"If she didn't hang around you all the time, would I have been suspicious and cheated on her?" Another male voice replies to him. Fiancé? Friend? Cheating?

My beloved chuckles darkly. "Oh, so it's all her fault? She's right, you really are pathetic." Who is this she he is speaking of?

"You're right," Is that… that voice… "Anwir, you will never be able to compare to him." She spits out in disgust.

He snarls. "When will you snap out of it? He doesn't like you. He's married. You lost to the Princess Consort!"

"Is this how you apologize? After everything you have put me through-"

"If you didn't cheat on me first, this wouldn't have happened!" He shouts as my eyes narrow. No one. No one yells at my friend like that!

"Everyone move out of the way."

"Wait no!"

"Don't-"

The crowd clears the way as my eyes widen. My heart stops in its tracks as my friends sigh. They… In the center of the room, my husband and my friend are locked in a lip lock. His eyes widen as she pulls him closer. They are… kissing… A lump forms in my throat as everyone grows deathly silent. How dare they! This is supposed to be my wedding day yet my dear husband is locking lips with my friend?!

He breaths heavily pointing his finger at them. "How dare you! How dare you-"

My friend pulls away pecking his nose as he stares at her in disbelief. "Why did you…" He utters as his brow furrows in confusion.

"I love you."

"But he's married! God damnit, Maria!"

"Even if that's the case," She lays her hand gently on his cheek. "I still love you, Astral." My friend turns to him with a smile. "I got to thank you because, without you, I never would've realized my feelings for him."

His left eye twitches as he stumbles back. "I knew it. You never loved me, did you? You were using me to make him jealous."

"That's correct," Her lips curve into a sweet yet deadly smile as I rub my arms. "You really are a fool. Do you really think that I liked you? You're nothing compared to him."

His eyes narrow. "You're lying. We've been together and friends for years now. You're lying."

"Oh really?" She giggles covering her mouth. "You think you know me that well? Sorry to burst your bubble but the Maria two years ago is gone. She died when you betrayed her. She died when she found out that her fiancé cheated on her with her friend!"

Whispers emanate around me as I cover my mouth. Maria… "Hey, did anyone else know that she had a fiancé?"

"Nope, you?"

"I never knew, but I have a feeling my brother knows."

"She…" My friend stumbles as my husband's arms stabilize her.

"Careful, you can't overexert yourself." What? What does he mean by that?

Her breathing labors as we glance at each other. "Something's wrong."

"I have never seen her like this before."

"Mommy, why does she look so pale?" I pat her head gently directing my gaze back to the three of them.

"She died when you slapped her until she bled crimson!" Oh no he didn't!

My friend's fist clenches. "He used force against her?"

I place my hand on his shoulder. "Brandon, Zach, Derek, stop."

"How do you-"

"Let's watch for now." My eyes narrow. Why have you never told me about this? Why did you keep this to yourself?

"So don't act as you know me. You know nothing about me."

He growls at her. "You bitch-"

(Slap)

Everyone gasps as my hand connect with his cheek. "How dare you!"

He stares at me in shock holding his bruised cheek. "Your Highness, I'm not the one you should be angry at. Your husband is unfaithful. He's-"

(Slap)

"Don't you dare ridicule, my husband!"

(Slap)

My friend's fist clenches as her eyes glow radioactive green. Uh-oh… "How dare you insult my older brother? Guards!" The guards from the outside burst in as people move out of their way. She glares at him. "You must know that I despise beings like you. Not only did you hurt my friend emotionally, by saying those filthy words, physically, by using force against her," Her breathing goes heavy as objects start floating in the air. At this rate… "Not only that, you ridiculed the one and only Prince that happens to be the future king of this world. You single-handedly caused a scene at this reception."

"I wouldn't have caused a scene if that-"

"Call her that one more time and I swear," His hands tighten as his muscles clench glaring dangerously at him. "I will make you regret it."

"Zach," My beloved calls out as all eyes direct on him. "That's enough."

"Brother-"

"Astrana, control your powers.

"But look at everything he's done. He ruined this reception. Not only that, he-"

"I'm your older brother," He locks his gaze with hers as I gulp. He never enforced his status on her before. "Plus, we don't want to cause a scene more than we already have."

"But he-"

His arm tightens around my hazel eyes friend's shoulder as she leans on him. Her figure trembling. "I will repeat once more. Stand down."

"You can't possibly-"

His gold and silver eyes narrow. "Are you not listening to me anymore, Astrana?"

Oh wow… The air tenses as those two stare at each other. My sister-in-law clenches her fist.

"Hmph," She takes a deep breath as the floating objects return to normal.

"Everyone," The king and queen walk up to us as everyone clears the way. "Break it up." He claps looking expectantly at his son.

My love clears his throat. "Guards, lock him up until further notice."

Astral's POV:

"Astral…" She clutches her head as I dim the lights in her room. "I…"

"Here, lay down and rest." My hands pull up the blanket. You have hypoglycemia. Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"How can you tell?" I sit on the bed handing her a cup of water. "I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to worry them." I figured that was the case.

"All the symptoms you displayed were because your blood sugar was low," I state as a sigh escapes my lips. "Did I know about your ex before?"

She nods. "Do you remember?" Well…

(Flash):

"H-He b-broke up w-with-" Tears cascade down her cheeks as she hugs me tightly. "H-He-"

My eyes widen. "He broke up with you?!"

(Flash)

"Some but not all." I open my eyes to meet hers as she gently holds my hand. "Why didn't you tell anyone besides me?"

"I…" She purses her lips. "I didn't want to bother them." Seriously? "And besides, that happened a year ago. It's better not to bring it up." I don't even know what to say at this point.

(Flash):

My sister's fist clenched as her eyes glow radioactive green. "How dare you insult my older brother? Guards!" The guards from the outside burst in as people move out of their way. She glares at him. "You must know that I despise beings like you. Not only did you hurt my friend emotionally, by saying those filthy words, physically, by using force against her," Her breathing goes heavy as objects start floating in the air. Not only that, you ridiculed the one and only Prince that happens to be the future king of this world. You single-handedly caused a scene at this reception."

(Flash)

I meet her gaze. "I'm sorry for my sister's actions tonight." Her eyes widen. "Her actions were far too impulsive for a situation such as that."

A giggle escapes her lips. "I agree, just imagine if she lost all control. That wouldn't be good but I can see where she's coming from." My friend gets up with my help and stands on the balcony staring at the moon with a distant gaze. "She was trying to stand up for us."

"Yea, but the thing is she failed to take your emotions into account." I stare at the stars with a smile. "You were trembling when she said those things. That proves after everything he's done to you, you still love him, am I correct?"

My friend goes quiet as I hold her hand. Her eyes meet mine with a head tilt. "Love really is blind."

"I want to forget him," Tears glisten in her eyes as she blinks them away rapidly. "But no matter how hard I try, I can't." That must be why she asked me that question. "When I found out that he was in an affair with my friend." Her breathing labors as tears flow down her face. "I felt as if my world was breaking. It shattered right in front of my eyes and I was left helpless to stop it. My heart disintegrated to dust as the two of them walk away hand in hand." How long has she kept this all to herself? I open up my arms as she tackles me wrapping her arms around my waist as I rub her back. "I cried myself to sleep some night in hopes that he will one day return to me. I thought that I did something wrong that caused him to cheat." She gulps as tears drip onto my shirt.

"You did nothing wrong," I whisper gently as she hugs me tighter. "He shouldn't have cheated on you like that. He was the one at fault."

A sob rings throughout my ears as I pull her closer wrapping my arms around her waist securely. "After that day, I tried my best to maintain a happy façade. I-I thought that if I smiled, it w-will lessen the pain b-but nothing worked!" Her voice cracks as I slowly bring her down to the ground." I never knew… Her eyes meet mine as I take a tissue to dry her tears. "R-Remember the dinner date at the restaurant?"

"Dinner date?"

My friend nods. "Ah, you probably have no r-recollection of it. That day was the anniversary of the day that he b-broke up with me." She takes a shaky breath. "I-I tried to f-forget him and that d-day but I can't." I grit my teeth to hold back my own tears from forming. Don't cry, Astral! "I-I tried everything I can but why? Why can't I forget him? Why?!"

I tighten my grip on her waist enveloping her in my arms. "I-I d-don't want to remember." She sniffles and coughs violently. "I feel so tired and cold, Astral."

My friend shakes her head leaning herself into me. "I'm tired. So… tired right now."

"Then rest." I rub her back steadying my breath. "Rest, until you feel less tired."

"You won't l-leave me will you?" She coughs into her elbow choking back a strangled cry as I pull her closer and shut my eyes. "I-I don't want you to leave me."

"I won't be leaving anytime soon, Maria."

"P-Promise?"

I nod pulling her closer to my body as tears flow down my cheeks. "I promise. Just rest. I will be here when you wake up." My voice tightens as I look towards the door.

In the mind link:

"Liliana, I-"

"No need to explain, my love. We heard everything."

"I'm sorry about tonight. I know how important this day is to you but… I can't leave her like this."

"You made the right decision. She's our friend and she needs you right now. You are the only one that can comfort her during this moment." She states with a pause. "Oh, and don't feel guilty for your decision. Everyone one of us agrees with it." Liliana…

"Thank you for understanding, my love."

"W-What did you just refer to me as?" Why does she sound so shocked?

"I referred to you as my love. I could change it if you don't-"

"No!"

"Pardon?"

"I-I mean, I like it. Don't change it." She stammers. "Is there a reason why you're calling me that?"

A reason? "You're my wife, aren't you? I figured that I should change my way of calling you so that it reflects the nature of our relationship. Plus, did I refer to you like that before?"

"You remember?"

"Bits and pieces are returning but nothing too significant."

"Um… I'm wondering but did you remember anything when we kissed?" That kiss… Ack! No no no no no no! Don't think about that sort of thing! There's no way that I can tell her that I remember our first time.

"I-I… uh… n-no." Seriously?! Why am I stuttering? "Ahem, no. I did not remember anything when that happened."

"You sure?" Sorry, Liliana.

"I'm sure. Oh, it's getting late. You should get some rest. Remember, you have our child to worry about."

"I know, goodnight, my love."

"Goodnight and wish our daughter a good night as well."

Outside the mind link:

A sigh escapes my lips as my eyes drift down to my friend sleeping in my arms with tears staining her face. Maria... If this hasn't happened, are you planning to keep this all to yourself? Her fingers clutch my shirt as I lift her to the bed pulling up the blanket. "Don't leave me,"

Her hand grips mine as I squeeze it firmly. "I'm here. I won't be leaving you." Anwir, why are there people like you in this world?

(Pulse)

"Argh," I softly hiss as my finger rub my temple. What on Astral world is going on? This is the second time today.
