It was nice for mother to let Mr Charmy, Mr Gardon and Miss Marine to accompany me while the big racing tournament was happening.
I still have no idea about why Mr Sonic and his friends have entered though. What's going to happen to them?

Mother has no idea about what is going on behind it all either. Maybe the visitors know about this and know why their friends have entered.
I need to keep being positive that nothing will happen to Mr Sonic, Miss Amy, and the others.

CHAPTER 1: A MYSTERIOUS INVITE
ACT 3: III - A WALLET FULL OF RINGS
He was planning something - Vector thought as he hid behind another bush within the same racetrack Tangle stopped him in. He was getting more intel on how Dodon Pa would race. The crocodile remained stealthy, as he was convinced he had no other teammates that could assure him of the tanuki's creative process. He was still inspecting the Lost Palace track from head to toe, giving him the idea of how these races are set up. Upon catching a glimpse of supposed pitstop robots maintaining the racetrack, he quickly hid behind the main seating area of the main stand, near the concession stands.
"Huh... I see... I gotta know about this."
The crocodile inspected this further, zooming in on his binoculars. He gasped thereafter after finding something, informing Vanilla.
"Money's potentially on the table here..." Vector thought, dialling Vanilla's number as the mother rabbit patiently picked up on the other end.
"Hello, Vanilla the Rabbit here..."
"Do you have a moment?"
"Sure, what is it?" The rabbit listened intently.
"I need to tell Charmy about this." Vector had an idea about wanting to give his bee friend a task to do while he was with Vanilla. "Can I speak to him?"
"Of course you can!" The mother rabbit leaned away from the phone, presumably to fetch Charmy from upstairs for a bit.
Vector waited a while, in the meantime deeply thinking about his teammates if he were to enter this racing tournament. Who would he choose if Espio and Charmy were unavailable? Would they even agree to take him on if he was interested in the money? Vanilla picked up the phone again and held it to the bee's height.
"What is it, Vector? Did'ya find anything?!" The familiar tone ringed through his ears.
"I'm going to enter the race soon. See if you can find any intel of Dodon Pa while our chameleon friend does the same."
"Alright! I knew you could do it!"
"You know me, I always get the job done!" The Chaotix leader expressed.
"Good luck out there, boss!" Charmy therefore handed over the phone to Vanilla as the mother rabbit spoke.
"Yes, I speak the same thing to you. Perhaps maybe other mobians could help you, Vector." Vanilla had other suggestions come to her mind.
"I see... Well you go let Charmy help me get intel on this tanuki fellow, and I'll go continue my search for racemates. Sound good?"
"Why yes. Why wouldn't you be the perfect mobian to race Sonic?" She giggled.
"You know me Vanilla, I always get the job done for the money!"
"I know someone who you might like to race, Vector." Vanilla shifted her topic on the assumption of Blaze liking this idea.
"Who is it?"
"Blaze is looking to join the tournament too. She stopped by to drop Marine off for me to babysit."
"Blaze, huh?" The crocodile draped an index finger on his chin in curiosity. "I wonder why she was alerted to this thing."
"Did she also get what you received?"
"Possibly, but I have no idea."
"Hmm... maybe so, but I'll get in touch with you to see if Blaze really wants to join you."
"Ah, got it." Vector switched off his connection with the mother rabbit and continued inspecting the Seaside Hill tracks.
Vanilla immediately contacted Blaze using her communicator. What came out of the other end was the familiar voice of a patient and elegant mobian.
"Miss Blaze. Vanilla the Rabbit here. Vector is looking for someone to race with."
"Vector?" The princess was surprised, yet too perplexed to wonder why. "Isn't he supposed to be working with Espio and Charmy?"
"He sent Charmy to me to babysit. Espio is looking for work under this Dodon Pa brand." The mother rabbit explained.
"I see..." The princess was even more suspicious now. "I can't back down now if my interest is that high."
"Who do you think is going to assist you and Vector?" The polite rabbit spoke.
"Oh I'm pretty sure Silver has also received an invitation too. It's destined to be this case."
"It'll be lovely to see you on the racetrack with your friend too, Blaze."
"It would be a pleasure."
Vanilla giggled.
"Cream will definitely cheer you on alongside Amy and Sonic and the other racers! I'll be in the stands watching you race."
"Thank you sincerely Vanilla. I shall see you then. Bye!" Blaze wished the mother rabbit good luck on her babysitting, and promptly hung up.
"Goodbye!"
Vanilla placed the phone back on the wall and smiled, knowing that Vector had assisted one of her babysat children. After all, he was still part of the Chaotix even if he was still a kid. A swift turn around to an eager Cream the Rabbit told her something that her daughter sought after.
"Are we going to watch the Mr Pa's racing tournament?" Cream flapped her ears towards her mother. "I always wanted to cheer on Mr Sonic and Miss Amy!"
"We most certainly are, Cream." She patted her daughters head gently. "We all get to cheer on Sonic, Amy and Blaze together!"
"Yaay!"
"It'll be weird seeing my boss on the racetrack without me." Charmy stated. "I wanted to enter the race."
"Vector sent you here for a reason Charmy. I'm babysitting you while he looks into this." Vanilla responded.
"I bet you're devo, mate. Blaze had to do the same for me." Marine added. "No drama."
"We can all watch the races together!" Cream stated. "Don't worry Charmy and Marine, me, mother, Cheese and Chocola will keep you company."
"Chao Chao!" Cheese cheered.
"Chaooo!" Chocola cheered.
Vanilla giggled thereafter, awaiting their destiny.
"What are we waiting for?" She proclaimed. "Get your things and we'll travel to Dodon Pa's tournament!"
"Yippee!" The little rabbit girl cheered. Marine and Charmy both smiled at her, not least for the latter who was tasked with gathering intel from the tanuki host. Vanilla smiled as she, too was intrigued by this destiny.
[WHALE LAGOON, SEASIDE HILL]
(Sonic X - All Right)
Amidst all of the serene beauty and rock formations of the coast, a bright flash barely illuminated the daylight sky, as a portal had pried itself open to allow two visitors from the future to step into the past. Silver jumped down and looked at the surrounding area, admiring its beauty. One had never stepped foot into the past before, guided by the heroic one who traversed parts of the timeline.
"We're here, Gold. Welcome to Sonic's world!" Silver exclaimed to his friend.
"Wow..." An awe-inspired Gold slowly walked forward to take in the gorgeous scenery of the surrounding vista, her hair swaying in the gentle breeze in a motion as if the mobian was engulfed in a safer part of Windy Valley. "Your past is beautiful! I can't imagine what this would turn out in our future!"
"The environment is second to our safety." The hedgehog followed her, attaching his hands to the fence. "Sonic's friends sure do love the natural beauty out this place."
"Yes, I'd hate to think of all of the bad things that could happen here to spell the beginning of your timeline." She responded.
"And the countless times it fought over my back for me to travel back and eradicate my threat. But there's no likely threat right now."
"But still, how difficult would it be for you this time?"
"I need to locate Dodon Pa and talk to him about this. This isn't going to be easy."
"Where shall I go?" Gold folded her arms, curious about her purpose surrounding the tournament.
"Remember when I cheered Sonic on during the Time Eater's destruction. You can play the role in cheering me on during the races."
"No... I don't remember you cheering him on."
"Oh... that's right." Silver scratched his head nervously. "Anyway, we need to find this strange Dodon Pa and tell him why he wanted me here?"
"That sounds like a good idea, Silver." Gold responded, a thought suddenly creeping up on her as her enthusiasm sank merely. "But where will I stay? We're going to be here for a while. I need to find somewhere I can rest."
The telekinetic hedgehog draped an index finger on his chin, curious about Gold's question.
"That's a good question. I only ever come here to save my future from destruction. I don't always come here for fun."
"Maybe this Dodon Pa guy is nothing who you see him as. We don't know what plans he might have for you."
"Everybody I've met wouldn't have a clue who he truly is, Gold. That's the problem."
"I know a friend." A thought crept within him about someone he knew in this timeline. "We met during our escapades on Eggman. I don't exactly know her fully. I've only met her once."
"You do?" Gold was leaning forward.
"Yeah, it's kind of a long story. But I'll assure you two will be great friends!"
"Really?" The tenrec was excited to meet new people that weren't Onyx City residents. "Show me where she is!"
"Alright. I'll take the lead."
Gold started following Silver towards the racing area as that increased their chances of meeting some other mobians and increasing the chances of finding the one the psychokinetic hedgehog was searching for. However, she was hanging out with a friend in another part of Seaside Hill, presumably where the next race was going to be.

[SEASIDE HILL WAREHOUSE, SEASIDE HILL]
"I have a hard time figuring out what new race modes this tanuki comes up with." Tails started as he and Sonic were lounging around the warehouse area of the building as the kitsune was sat near the mechanic workstation.
"Yes but the fun part is not knowing what it is yet." The hedgehog gave some hope into his sidekick friend.
"Only when it isn't as dangerous and brutal as it sounds, Sonic. I don't want to have to rescue you everytime you go too far off the deep end. What if I end up like before when Eggman almost took over the entire planet?"
"Heh..." The blue hedgehog cocked a chuckle of discouragement. "I'll be fine. Dodon Pa might have a good track record when it comes to safety. Trust me, little bro, I don't like seeing you become afraid of the adventures we always have. We always have our moments, but they are overshadowed by how much determination we deliver to other mobians in need of our help."
"I guess... And what about the times when there wasn't anyone who needed our help?"
"We just let them do whatever they want. It's on their cards after all."
"And that doesn't at all raise any red flags about the type of mobian Dodon Pa is." The kitsune brought up the slim distrust in the tanuki.
"We'll be fine around him." Sonic reassured his little buddy. "We're having fun together. This is something he needs to do.
"I guess so..." The fox concluded as he smiled at Sonic, the blue hedgehog repeating as they heard the warehouse door open.
"Hey Sonic. Hey Tails. Long time no see!" Sally entered the room dressed in her mechanic jumpsuit.
"Hey Sal, are you doing some work?"
"Yes I am." The brown chipmunk stopped in front of them. "Now that we've got some credits to spend, what are you chasing in terms of modifications?" Sally asked the blue hedgehog.
"I'm thinking I'll start off with a basic paint job. It helps me familiarize with the stuff that I could do to the other vehicles."
"Alright." The blue hedgehog comprehended.
"What colour should I paint the Speed Star with?" The chipmunk asked her hero friend.
"I was thinking the closest shade. Keep it closer to the original but add some differences." Sonic was referring to Azure, whom Sally must've thought about too.
"Hmmm... Azure? Alright, lemme just grab the right paint bucket for you."
"Alright!" The blue hedgehog leapt into the Speed Star nonchalantly as the princess briefly parted to fetch her paint bucket.
"We have time to do this." With a quick glance at her watch, Sally placed the bucket down as she grabbed a paint brush.
"Cool!" The speedster gave her a thumbs up.

"This process is going to take some time Sonic." The chipmunk pressed the Up ramp on the car jack, lifting up the Speed Star and Sonic. "I suggest take it easy around me when I'm doing my job."
"Fair enough, Sal." The blue hedgehog responded with enthusiasm. "I'll hang back and watch."
The mechanic gave a short, yet swift nod to the heroic hedgehog, twirling the empty paint brush in her hand. Turning to a vacant paint bucket, determining the right color to paint to Speed Star was her main priority. The team mechanic dipped her brush into the paint afterwards and began to stroke the vehicle, whilst Sonic was still inside of it. She made sure that every previous shade of blue had to be recolored with the new shade. Tails and Knuckles watched as Sally demonstrated her knowledge and expanded on her skillset in this fairly new operation. The blue hedgehog donned sunglasses as he requested Sally to bring them to him. Who wouldn't blame him? This process took time. He was just happy that he was willing to watch his chipmunk friend work and get exposed to what it was like behind her job. Sweat profusely followed as Sally grabbed a wrench, inspecting underneath the Speed Star for anything that required fixing. Sonic was curious and peeked slightly at the hard-working chipmunk underneath his car, as solemn as she was with her positions, be it a princess or a mechanic who wanted to assist her heroes. Tapping the metal with her wrench was the ideal method she used to detect any miscellaneous to go phut, Sally seemed satisfied with her result and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Aaannndd... all done!" The princess lifted herself out from underneath the now-painted Cyan Speed Star. "Sorry it took so long. I wanted to check that the engine was functioning properly."

She dismounted the skateboard and distanced herself from the vehicle to admire the new look.
"How do you like the new paint job...?" The chipmunk wiped her forehead for sweat.
Sonic looked over, walking towards the Speed Star's new paint job.
"You did a great job Sal. I love it!"
"How does that shade of blue compare to your old one?"
"It's gonna give me some time getting used to it, but if it makes you happy to train on your job, then we're good!" Sonic gave a thumbs up at his team mechanic.
"I'm glad you like it. It took me a while to get the smaller areas to look the same."
Sonic therefore winked at the chipmunk, coaxing the team mechanic to giggle in response.
"By the way guys, have you checked out the lounge area of this building?" Sally added, unaware that the boys hadn't seen it. "Dodon Pa might have not told us about them, but I think I've also seen one in the Planet Wisp warehouse too."
"There's a lounge area?" Tails scratched his head nervously. "That might be where the other racers are, Knuckles in particular."
"We know about the cafeteria, but Dodon Pa didn't tell us about the living quarters." The blue blur gave his answer.
"It's where we can wind down after a hard shift... The race isn't until later so we can all relax before then."
"Oh well... he doesn't have to let us know about everything, does he?" Tails acknowledged.
"You have a point there, Tails. We just take a break there, I guess." Sonic suggested, as he, Tails and Sally ventured into the warehouse lounge.
[A FEW HOURS LATER...]
[LOST PALACE, SEASIDE HILL]
(Team Sonic Racing - Emergency)
Pristine as it was to return to the Adabat landscape of Seaside Hill, the heroes land themselves on its serene grass once again in Dodon Pa's spaceship. The recurring presence this had on the tournament coaxed the two teams to be determined to out-match each other regardless of the racing modes. Dodon Pa opened the hatch, revealing the environment as it was untouched before.
"Welcome back to Seaside Hill, racers!" The tanuki proclaimed, hovering out of the ship with his mobile.
"I admit, I do not get sick of visiting this place again." The blue hedgehog stepped off the tanuki's spaceship in a homely expression as the others followed. "This zone was made for me to run around."
"I'm just glad to be back here again." Knuckles exclaimed.
"A perfect relaxation spot for Froggy and I." Big exclaimed.
"I'm just hoping the other teams can race through this landscape too." Amy added.
"They will, in due time. But the first thing we need to do..." Dodon Pa responded.
The tanuki suddenly stopped, turning around to the gang.
"Racers!" He cleared his throat, cupping his hands suddenly as if he was planning something devious. "I hope you're ready for another challenge awaiting you!"
"Wait, what do you mean?" Tails stopped.
"Hohohoho!" The host chuckled. "This is a special kind of challenge, young kitsune. I haven't even experimented it myself yet, but you will soon find out."
"What kind of challenge is it this time, Dodon Pa?" Amy folded her arms, the last bit of distrust still in her in regards.
"I call this the 'Ring Challenge'." He explained. "One racer will get to collect as many rings as possible within the allotted time limit."
"A Ring Challenge? Sounds fancy." Sonic responded with intrigue. "What's the reward for collecting all of these rings?"
"Oh, it's nothing new. You are rewarded with the standard medals for falling under any specific threshold - said thresholds will be determined by how many rings you have gathered."
"How long is the time exactly?" Tails wondered.
"A few minutes would suffice for you to gather enough rings to earn yourself a platinum medal for your teams' bragging rights, and more importantly some additional materials for your team mechanics to tinker with."
Sonic and Amy turned to Sally and Honey respectively and smiled. They nodded as a response.
"If it means that much to our team mechanics, then bring it on!" The blue hedgehog enthusiastically announced."
The tanuki smiled as a result, almost feeling the need to cock another laugh but held it back.

[IN THE MAIN STAND...]
Blaze watched from the nearest stand to the first banked curve at what she presumed was the pitstop area. Her eyes gazed down at the track everybody was situated before, apparently filling with intrigue rather than an emotion associated with fear.
"Interesting..." She came out with.
She was ready to be a part of the action whenever possible, but she still hadn't pictured up a mind about meeting this 'Dodon Pa' mobian yet. Time was ticking fast. She could barely see parts of the tanuki hovering away as he faded from view inside of the commentary box to deliver an interview. She could only guess. She stared out toward the rest of the stand's view of the track, focusing too much on the race to not notice she was even afraid of heights.
"Guh!" She merely flinched, looking down toward the steps that suddenly end at the crevice of the stand she was perched upon. That was when someone spotted a familiar friend come visit, charging up to them for a reunion.
"Long time no see, Blaze!" Tangle jumped in the air and wrapped her and the princess with her tail, pulling her close as the lemur embraced her too.
"GAH! That's a little too tight, Tangle... But it's good... to see you too..." Blaze hardly gasped for air.
"Oops- Sorry... force of habit… hehe..." The lemur released her tail and her arms away from Blaze as she regained her breath. "So what brings you back here, aside from watching the races?"
"That's exactly why I am here right now. I've received an invitation to join this mysterious mobian of sorts."
"Aw yeah! I'll happily cheer you on!"
"But that's the thing, Tangle - I have never even experienced something big like this before in your timeline perhaps. Everything I had done out of my own volition has been contained within the Sol Dimension."
"Then you are ready to face the unknown!"
"Perhaps so..." The princess was adamant about going head-first into what was unfit for her at the time.
The curious cat was still staring out toward the group of racers at the pitstop, Sonic, Amy and their teams were all gathered around. Tangle wrapped an arm around her and reassured her this was going to be fine, as the two took up seats near the back.
[BACK ON THE TRACK...]
"So who's going to participate in this inaugural event?" The tanuki scanned each individual racer.
"It depends on who's got more fuel in their tank." Sally joked. "But I'm not sure."
"Ah- you caught on so quick, chipmunk." Dodon Pa laughed.
"Let Sonic take a rest for once. The Speed Star had a new paint job fitted. I'll let it dry, but for now he can't race yet."
"Indeed. Extra precautionary measures are a vital element to a successful race." He added.
"I volunteer to gather the rings for Sonic, Tails and I." The echidna stepped forward, holstering his pride and loyalty for his friends. "I've been gathering them since they were valuable."
"Aah... Then go right ahead, brave echidna."
"You can count on me to grab those rings." He delivered a fist pump with his spiky gloves.
"Good luck out there, man." Sonic cheered up the brash echidna as the Team Sonic power character smiled in response. "We'll be cheering you on!"
"I'm gonna need that luck if I'm going to succeed in this event."
"You got our back, Knux!" Sonic showed a thumbs up at him.
The red echidna smiled and nodded before taking aim at his Land Breaker vehicle. Hopping in, he knew his objective was to get some more trophies for his team, regardless of the challenge that lay before him.
"Remember folks, if Knuckles gathers enough rings. He'll earn Team Sonic a platinum medal to give to their team mechanic. "Dodon Pa announced to all the spectators unaware of their deeds.
"Good luck out there, Knuckles!" Amy boosted his motivation.
Knuckles nodded and glared at the horizon lined up with rings, as he began to focus. The foot pedal light-pressed, his determination for Team Sonic's medals grew desirous.
"Hmph!" He intently huffed as his line of sight was secured on the horizon.
Awaiting the countdown, the Land Breaker began revving up, looking like if as the red echidna was showing off. He checked the dashboard in case Sally had to call him. It stayed clean even before the last race - the screen was surprisingly handling his strength despite the echidna gripping the steering wheel as hard as he could, seeing as it attached so close to said dashboard. Knuckles maintained a steady focus as the lights changed color.
(Team Sonic Racing - Lost Palace)
Knuckles pressed on the gas, the Land Breaker whizzing past the group as they all stared on in unison. He had a keen eye on how many rings he would collect to maximise Team Sonic's winning streak. Breaking towards the first group of rings, he began to drift on the first curved away from the view of the other racers. He only had a minute to grab as many rings he could get his hands on, as the tanuki was generous to grant him the wish to complete a lap for them. Turning towards the first curve, he anticipated this specific racetrack having many more than just this one as the first line of rings were being encroached by the Land Breaker. Knuckles ensure he'd collect some on this first attempt as the brash echidna quickly spun his steering wheel to drift along another curve.
"Haha! Got you!"
He pocketed the rings beneath his dashboard, keeping two eyes between the ring stash and the track as he drifted again to gain more boost. Knuckles continued speeding at his current pace as he kept his focus on the track. The other racers, watching through the large monitor at the pitstop area noted his tremendous drifting skills.
"He's good." Honey watched on from her pitstop podium as Sally added to her statement, a headset mounted from the chipmunk.
"You'll be surprised how he handles his pitstops. He's quick and rough about this."
"Yeah."
"Is everything okay there, Knuckles?" The chipmunk spoke through her headset.
"I'm having a blast collecting these rings!" He stated as he jolted past another bank.
"Keep going! You're getting us the medals!"
"I have some credence with the echidna fellow." Dodon Pa brushed his mustache. "Maybe he's stopped worrying about me, maybe he hasn't."
"How are you sure he hasn't yet, Dodon Pa?" Tails responded.
"You got to have a little faith in someone long enough for them to trust you, young kitsune."
"Hmm... I believe you on that one."
Knuckles had drifted around the next bank turn, eyeing up the next line of rings in a 2v2 configuration. Aligning the Land Breaker in between the two sets of rings, he collected all of them and snickered. His next line of sight were the group of rings in a checkered pattern. The echidna brushed his dreads aside and rammed into the pattern.
"Oh no you don't..." He thought to himself as he missed some rings.
Luckily he still had some distance between him and the timer as he collected more rings, slowly decreasing the threshold little by little. Seconds later, he had accumulated dozens of rings he could win medals with. Sally, Sonic, Dodon Pa and the others could see him turn towards them as the timer slowly started to tick down to zero. Before they knew it, the Land Breaker collected the last line of rings as the final seconds ticked, completing the mission. The vehicle pressed the brakes hard as the echidna drastically decrease in momentum.
"And he's done it! Knuckles the Echidna has successfully managed to accumulate enough rings to earn his team a Platinum Medal!"

Knuckles lifted his foot off the gas and looked up with faces staring at him. His response was all that he needed for Sonic and Tails to cheer.
"How did I do?" He jumped out and stared at the scoreboard perched high above them. He collected the ring stash and gave them all to Dodon Pa.
"You did wonderful, red echidna!" The tanuki responded without hesitation. "You've managed to scrape rings far beyond the threshold required, and in the allotted time too."
"What can I say? I do it for my friends." Knuckles patted the hood of the Land Bruiser with pride.
"Nice job, Knuckles!" Sonic congratulated him. "You've really cracked that first ring challenge!"
Amy, as she was watching Team Sonic congregate together caught Dodon Pa out of the corner of her eye walking away with what resembled his phone for communications.
"What are you doing? Who are you trying to contact?" The Team Rose leader grew concerned as he stopped.
"I have some connections outside of my day job." The tanuki explained. "But that is none of your concern right now. What matters now is that we get prepared for the next batch of races that'll sure to be more challenging than ever before."
"This is a piece of cake!" Sonic stated enthusiastically. "If we win the next set of races, we'll get the gold for sure."
"Hohohoho!" The tanuki cocked his signature laugh in response. "I'm sure the other team will snatch them away from your grasp."
"I'll make sure Team Rose doesn't beat us in the next few races then!"
"You're just saying that because it's only the two teams competing." Amy scoffed.
"That is soon to change, however. But let's worry about getting prepared for the next race, shall we?"
"You know it, Dodon Pa!" Sonic cheered.
The blue hedgehog further exemplified his enthusiasm for the strange tanuki host by waving to him as if he was knew Sonic all of this time. A few of the other racers, particularly Amy and Knuckles rolled their eyes at the emotion as the hedgehog made his way back to the Seaside Hill warehouse.
"I want to see if the paint has dried yet." Sally followed in the wake of Dodon Pa and Sonic.
"I think we should all rest until the next set of races." Tails suggested to the rest of the racers. "It has been an interesting introduction after all."
"I'm just excited to see what new team will be joining us." Knuckles responded. "Competing alongside Team Rose all of the time is getting kind of tedious."
"It will be nice to have variety in everything, red echidna. Not everyone likes the same opponents, you know."
"Hm, you have a point, Dodon Pa."
"I agree, facing off against Amy in particular is getting kinda lame." Sonic responded.
Dodon Pa nodded at the hero's opinions, thus finding an excuse to exit the area by hovering toward his spaceship.
"I'll be in my ship doing things if you ever need me. The next set of races will surely be different when the new team enters, Hohohoho!"
Everyone split up for their own thing. Sally was adamant Sonic's paint job was done, the chipmunk dragging the blue hedgehog and his team toward the Seaside Hill warehouse. Team Rose meanwhile were watching them exit the track field.
"Do you trust Dodon Pa now, Amy?" Honey turned to the hedgehog, curious if the vendetta was encapsulating her views.
"A little. I still don't know if there's going to be any new racing challenges."
"Yeah... that's a curious bout of engagement I can gather from you, Tails and Knuckles."
"Well..." The pink hedgehog smiled at the fashion feline. "At least we all know what he's putting us through, huh?"
"Unfortunately." She sighed.
"Well..." The feline gazed up at the sky, determining the sun's current position. "Is it really that time? I gotta go inspect your vehicles ready for the next race. Meet me in the Seaside Hill warehouse."
"Gotcha!" The pink hedgehog waved to Honey as she departed for the bright-coloured builing off in the distance. Amy, meanwhile, held in her regards about what she mentioned about Dodon Pa. She was slowly showing some trust in him. Could this be the last new challenge the tanuki was throwing at them? Turning back at the Lost Palace track, her muzzle faintly drew upon a smile, reassuring herself that she was somewhat safer with Sonic around to keep company.
[AS EVERYONE WAS LEAVING...]
As everyone was leaving for the spaceship bound for the next race, Tangle was amongst the herd as she thought nothing about what was awaiting her. Her long-time best friend came running up to her frantically calling out her name. Something was clearing going on that surrounds her need to do this.
"Tangle, there you are. There's something we need to take care off." The wolf spoke as she leapt towards the lemur. "Someone's calling out for help."
"What is it?" She sprung into excitement.
"Doesn't matter for now. She gave me the co-ordinates. We need to leave."
"Well okay... I love adventures anyway!" The eager lemur raced behind Whisper as they both ran out of the main stand. Something must have told Whisper that they needed to do an urgent errand straight away. Tangle didn't realize it at the time, but someone has gotten into a tough situation.

I'm going to try something new regarding the tournament list at the end of every chapter. I will list all of the teams down with each member included instead of just every member overall. I can keep things organised not just for me, but for you guys reading this. I will start using this format in the next chapter onwards, which happens to be the start of Chapter 2 in the story.
