I'd like to say the time until THE DAY moved fast but it wasn't like that at all. I was occupied and busy thinking of where Natsu would take me on this weekend. I even talked through it with my Mom and everytime I told her about the pinkette or she just happen to say his name, I grinned and just couldn't stop it.
I heard my alarm ring and instanly was awake. Maybe I was already awake before my alarm even rang?
I sat up in my bed, instantly hit by nervousness. Glazing from my bed to the floor in my room I spotted my prepared mini suitcase and hoped everything necessary will be in there and nothing is forgotten.
Just one more check won't hurt - even if you checked it like 5 times, I told myself.
I stood up, made my way to my still opened suitcase knowing yesterday, that I'd check it again anyway. Even if I was 100% sure everything is packed. Can you even be 100% sure if you don't know where the ride will go and what you need? Probably not.
2 Bikini - check
Towel - check
Underwear - check
something more fancy to wear, just in case - check
Make up plus Make up remover - check
shampoo and soap for showering - check
Phone charger - check
The list I checked that I've written on my phone at least got me away from my nervousness and the hammering in my chest. It feels like as if a person next to me could hear it pumping in my chest.
Taking my phone into my hands, I saw the text my mom wrot me once she arrived at her workplace:
Good morning sweetie! Don't forget the bathing slippers!
Of course I panicked immediately. Where are those damn slippers, I don't remember having or owning some! I typed "where, I don't have any" and send the text to her. While waiting for a reply I rushed downstairs, meeting my already awake step dad and greeting him and rushing more down into the cellar, knowing I might find something there. And I was right, after searching through some closets a bit, I found some slippers, even more than one. Picked the one I liked best and more or less rushed back upstairs.
Opening my chat with Natsu and after checking it's still around one hour left until he should be here, I re-checked the message he sent me 3 days ago:
The plan is following:
I'll pick you up on Friday at 8:00.
Place: ?
From Friday until Sunday morning.
Best is to take a swimsuit with you
I don't know how long I was looking at the text and then at my suitcase and decided to take one more glance through it. Better be safe than sorry! This times at least I could also checkmark the slippers and silently thanked mom to remind me.
My heart was killing me and the time didn't seem to move on one bit. I got myself ready, got dressed, made sure I wasn't sweatening too much from my cold sweat, freshend up myself and there I was, 15 minutes already waiting near the street.
It's too early Lucy, what will you do these last 15 minutes?! I more or less scolded myslef but little did I know I was just too nervous and also, I didn't want him having to wait.
Though I am a punctual person, I know other girls might have the man wait a bit? Though if he likes a girl he should know and be prepared for that.
My step dad was still home, my mom was already gone to work. He got the newspaper from today, saw me standing there - immediately noticing how nervous I was - chuckled to me already standing ready to be picked up. He wished me a lot of fun right before he drove off to work as well.
Now nervousness hit really hard. I was standing there with my suitcase, rethinking if I have really every-everything. Don't be silly, you checked a hundred times, it's all packed!
I don't know if you can be that nervous to recheck if you put the slippers really in the suitcase and yes I did and yes I checked.
I decided to go one last time inside the house, taking two minutes to go to the toilet and right away back downstairs and outside to my suitcase that was still waiting for me. This time I made sure to lock the front door as well, knowing it's empty now.
And dear lord, then I heard his car driving towards my house in Hargeon - heck I heard it before seeing it and there he was.
"Hi" he got outside his car and opened his luggage space in the back of his car.
"Hiii" I greeted him back, not knowing now if a hug was alright or not but I was too nervous to think it through. Since he didn't made a move or a sign I just shrugged it off. He could hear or feel my heart anyway.
"Got everything you need packed?" the one head taller man asked me.
"I really hope so. It was difficult to pack without knowing much," I answered while grinned.
One glance into his car and I cursed. Damn he chose a big sportsbag and not a suitcase, maybe I should've done that as well!
My hard hammered even louder and stronger in my chest - or so it felt.
Either way there was no way back, no repacking into another bag or anything. At least he didn't say anything so my mom's guess, saying our location will surely be a spa, was probably right. What would I even do without her?
The mini suitcase was put into the back of his car.
"Ready?" Natsu asked and I just nodded and went to the front of his car, taking a seat there.
The water bottle in the side of the car door was immediately spotted. Before thinking it could be for me, I just smiled to myself, knowing I also like to have water in my car just in case. So by now I already knew I forgot a water bottle, but it's not gonna be the end of the world. Weird though, that he has it on the other side though..
After taking my seat and putting my seatbelt on, Natsu started his car for the second time today and drove off.
We landed on the motorway which I had a feeling for anyway. I was so nervous but also so happy that I actually had a hard time to stop grinning or well, to hide it the best way I could but it really was difficult. Natsu, focused on the street, turned on the music and there was also silent in the car. At first it was awkward, but then it was calming.
We chatted only a little bit about work, he started the chat and I already know he picked this topic because we both know no other topic to talk about, since we don't know each other that well.
The way to the location was calming since I really enjoy driving by car.
To not be "rude" I didn't really look much at my phone but after 2 hours of driving I took a glance and saw my mom has written me around 8:45, so shortly after our departure around 08:00.
"Are you already on the way?" she wanted to know, definitely as curious as I am.
I replied "Yes, past Magnolia and still around one hour left. Still don't know where we're heading to exaclty." Well at least I knew I could tell her something. Must be weird knowing your child is taken somewhere, but not knowing where but I also know my Mom is super happy for me and already trusts Natsu, otherwise I'd definitely not be sitting here.
I put my phone back into my backpack that I brought as well and focused once again on the motorway and the cars driving there until Natsu drove down from the motorway and then I already checked all the signs to find a clue somewhere.
I cursed myself for not being too well with geography and what could be around here.
Eventually, after another 45 minutes I spotted a signs that said Spa and Natsu also drove into this direction, but it was too fast for me to read. Damnit!
We ended up in Fairy Hills, a big city but also still green. Natsu drove then slowly to a place with lots of people and somehow then he stopped the car in front of a hotel. We're here? We're here! I cheered happily.
We both got out from the car and into the hotel. Natsu told me he'd check the parking location for this hotel at the reception. So I had time to kill and I knew with my bladder it was time for a toilet flush - that felt very relieving after 3ish hours of driving.
Back with Natsu who was still standing at the reception, he handed me the printed map and got told where to head to so back in the car we tried as best as we could to find our way to the parking lot.
Stepping out of the car, I stretched, breathing in the calming and fresh but also cold air that surrounded us. The sight was magnificent; hills and trees everywhere I looked and connecting together. We took our baggage and headed towards the hotel.
And it's only just begun..
