~4 years later~
"Do I have to go Momma" Saori looked up into her mother's green eyes, six years old now, which meant it was time and everyone in the Haruno household was extremely emotional at the moment, even as her father stood behind her waiting patiently.
Sakura stared down at her first born with tears in her eyes "Yes, I'm sorry sweetie but this was always the plan, part of the deal between the elders in Suna and I, for when you were old enough that you'd migrate permanently to Sunagakure" the rosette nodded sadly.
Bending to hug her sweet little girl who didn't cry often but the somber mood was getting to her "But what about Kyoka, Kyota, Toge-otouto and Rion-imouto, I don't want to leave them" Saori cried, thinking of her siblings, she really was gentle.
Gaara closed his eyes, hating that this was upsetting his daughter "I know, I know...but Saori, it's also not for, forever, during the summer you can come back, or we can all go to you in Suna" Sakura assured kindly, lifting her eldest who clung to her tightly until her sobs quieted down.
"Can I say bye-bye one last time Tou-sama" Saori asked of her father and Gaara nodded, with that Saori turned and hugged all four of her siblings, even if Kyoka and Kyota were a few days older than her, she loved each of them equally.
It really was hard watching as Gaara lifted Saori once the farewells were finished and took off towards the gate, especially when Tenten had to capture her twins and hold them to her so they wouldn't run after the little redhead, Toge and Rion in pretty much the same state except Sakura was holding them.
And with that Saori was permanently transferred to Sunagakure while Kyoka and Kyota began their sojourn as academy students "The house feels too quiet if you know what I mean" Tenten remarked a few days after they'd settled into a new daily routine.
Even Toge had begun his training over at the Hyuga Compound, but he was still living there, so really it was just her, Sakura and little four-year-old Rion "We could change that, I'm sure Temari wouldn't mind looking after Rion for a bit" Sakura remarked with a devious grin.
Tenten groaned inwardly but didn't disagree with the idea as Rion was handed off to her honorary aunt, giving the married couple some much desired alone time "Gods the house hasn't been this empty in years" the brunette panted loudly.
While her wife pulled out the toys they hadn't been able to use for a long time because they'd had to be mindful of the little ones who were always underfoot "Shut up Tenten" Sakura demanded, and Tenten almost came on the spot.
"Please my pink-haired goddess, fuck me" Tenten begged, gray eyes alight with desire and the whip cracked down upon her flesh causing her to squeal and for a few minutes all that could be heard throughout the house were the sounds of that whip being used.
Neither kunoichi heard the door opening or the horrified expression of their guest as he heard what was going on right at that exact moment, nor did they hear as he fled, slamming the door shut behind him almost as quickly as he'd opened it, the two women were far to engrossed in enjoying their hard-earned alone time.
It was only later they found out someone tried to visit them after they'd practically fucked each other into oblivion and were interrupted as they cuddled in post-coital bliss by Karin of all people "Sorry to disturb, but just so you know, you have Kakashi-san sufficiently terrified of the two of you" the redhead commented.
Really hating to bother the married kunoichi since they didn't currently have kids that needed tending "Wait, what" Tenten sat up, the sheet that had been covering her naked body sliding down to reveal her in all her glory and Karin managed to keep her expression neutral.
Sakura was possessive of her wife "Kakashi-san tried to visit you earlier, but he heard you two going at it like bunnies I think, said something about hearing a whip, if Sasuke knew how kinky you were Sakura, I doubt I'd be the one married to him right now, he's into some really weird stuff" Karin confessed.
Feeling like she didn't have to hide herself around these two women "Did he tell you what he wanted" Sakura asked, brows furrowing in confusion because her former sensei didn't really visit all that often, in fact it was usually her having to seek him out.
"I think it was something about the 5th Raikage being here and needing to talk to you about keeping secrets" Karin frowned, though grew concerned when Sakura hurriedly stood and dressed, gave Tenten a quick kiss then vanished altogether from the house.
Leaving Tenten to clean up "Don't worry about it Karin, also how are the kids, did the Elders finally lay-off" the brunette questioned, trying to distract the redhead from her wife's strange actions by talking about a topic that often drove the other woman spare.
"Yeah, now that they have proof that I can no longer carry children after the birth of my eighth child, those elders quit nagging at us to have more kids, ugh" Karin sighed, eight children were far too many to have, not that they were bad or misbehaving, it just took a lot to wrangle them all sometimes.
Even with Sasuke's help, "Have any of them awakened the sharingan yet" Tenten inquired, appropriately dressed now as the two of them headed out into the living room, that feeling from earlier hit her yet again and she frowned in consternation.
Not really liking this apparent case of empty nest syndrome "Maybe, Sasuke's not too sure on that front to be honest, however I know for a fact that Leiko can use the chakra chains" Karin said, having been shocked when her oldest had used the technique unique to Uzumaki's.
Meanwhile Sakura had found where her former sensei had hidden himself "Kakashi-sensei, you have one minute before I beat you to a pulp to tell me if you've told anyone else about your speculations of Rion's parentage on her father's side or so help me kami-sama won't save you" the rosette demanded.
Causing the man to flinch "So it's true then...and no I haven't told anyone, but people are going to figure it out Sakura, she resembles him far too much really" Kakashi held up his hands in surrender, not really wanting to get punched by his former student.
"Damn it, why is he here anyway" Sakura groaned, pressing her fists into her eyes in frustration, having hoped to hide that particular fact in order to protect her daughter, because once the elders caught wind of it, they would never leave her alone.
Kakashi winced as he realized that Rion's conception had been an accident and that the Raikage was definitely not involved in his daughter's life "Only way to find out is to ask, go Sakura" the Copy-ninja suggested, hoping that things worked out well.
The 5th Raikage was unfortunately far too easy to find, because after a few short minutes of searching she noticed him stood at the base of the tower, scanning the crowds before him, until he apparently sensed her gaze and straightened from his relaxed position.
Before beckoning to her, Sakura squared her shoulders and marched towards him without an ounce of hesitation "Sakura Haruno, I'm glad you sought me out without me having to get the Hokage involved" Darui said when she was near.
And her eye twitched "You made it pretty clear Raikage-sama that you didn't want to be an active participant, so why are you getting involved now" Sakura asked, hoping that Darui wasn't about to tell her that she had to give up another of her children.
"Relax, I just want to meet her, I don't plan on taking her from you Haruno, she/Rion is yours, there was no deal between Kumo and you" Darui raised his hands in a placating manner and was relieved when the woman relaxed in response.
Obviously little Rion was adored by her mother "Follow my clone back to my house, I'll go fetch her from Temari" Sakura sighed, though at least the man was interested, she knew that he would never claim her as his child in the future.
She was equal parts sad and glad for that little fact, sad because Rion would never get to claim him as her father and glad because she didn't want her second daughter going off to another village as she headed towards the Nara compound and collected Rion.
Who pouted all the way home as her time with Temari and her honorary cousin was disrupted "Welcome back, I've got Raikage-sama settled at the table for lunch" Tenten greeted her in the foyer of their house, and Sakura sighed in bliss.
Glad that she wasn't having to deal with this alone as the two of them headed into the kitchen, Darui looked up from his plate and grew very wide-eyed in response "Is she...gods" the man breathed upon getting a good look at the child he'd conceived for the first time.
"Yes, this is Rion, Raikage-sama" Sakura grinned, when he just stared until Rion wriggled and she carefully set the child on her feet, then in a move reminiscent of her elder sisters, the girl went fearlessly over to the strange man in her home and tugged on his pants leg with gentle hands.
Until he looked down upon her "Mister Raikage Sir are you okay, did Mummy do something bad, why do you keep looking at her like that" Rion articulated concisely and Darui threw his head back with a laugh before carefully lifting Rion onto his lap.
Then shook his head "No little miss Rion, your Momma didn't do anything bad, I promise, I was just surprised for a moment, cause when you were born something almost bad happened to the both of you and I don't think I really understood how bad until now" Darui assured.
Causing his daughter to tilt her head in confusion "For now, why don't we eat, I'm sure there's lots of things Raikage-sama wants to ask, that means little lady that you need to sit in your own chair" Tenten cleared her throat and like the well-behaved kid that all the other children were thanks to Sakura.
Rion gently climbed down out of Darui's lap and then climbed into her own seat at the table, right next to Darui instead of her mother too Sakura's amusement "She's well-mannered isn't she" Darui remarked in surprise, having thought the little girl would be temperamental like her mother.
"All of our kids are behaved to an extent, my twins are just unfortunately a little on the wild side thanks to their paternal family, but Saori, she didn't need her manners corrected at any point, while Toge takes more after his own Father, Rion learned mostly from example however" Tenten admitted.
Darui glanced around warily at that, not having realized that besides the child with Gaara, that the married kunoichi had other children "Relax, Saori transferred to Sunagakure last week, it was part of the deal, Kyoka and Kyota are in the academy right now and Toge is with his father" Sakura laughed.
Practically seeing the panic in the man's eyes "Why so many kids" Darui asked, having thought after Rion, that Sakura wouldn't ever want to put herself through such a thing again, but now he was hearing about more than he thought possible.
"Three of them are mine by birth, Kyoka and Kyota's father is Kiba Inuzuka, while Toge's is Neji Hyuga, Saori and Rion are Sakura's" Tenten explained, having the feeling that Darui was thinking that all of the kids were Sakura's and not both of theirs together.
He blinked in understanding "But as for why so many, Tenten accepted a deal with the Inuzuka's and had twins and then negotiated a deal with Neji later to produce him an heir as well, while I only had the deal with Sunagakure, as for Rion, she's my special gift" Sakura cooed at her youngest.
Earning a squeal of delight, Darui didn't ask any further questions until after they'd finished eating and Rion had been put down for a nap "How can you see her like that, a gift, when it was an accident that got you pregnant with her and nearly killed you at the same time" Darui frowned.
She gestured for him to sit "Raikage-sama, I could never blame Rion, yes, getting pregnant was unplanned on my part, I could have aborted, but to us, children are precious, they are the lives that come after us and they need to be nurtured with love, so how could I" Sakura smiled softly.
Running her fingers through Rion's stark white hair "As for almost dying, we'd been having a stressful few weeks and it caught up with me unfortunately" the rosette confessed, tucking her daughter in before finally sitting on the couch.
"What Sakura means is that around the time she almost miscarried, we'd been having a difficult time getting my twins adjusted to having another baby in the house, which meant that they didn't get near as much attention as before" Tenten explained properly.
Hoping to make the man realize it was due to no fault of his or Sakura's, or even hers, her wife was just easily susceptible to things like that "Hey anybody home, Toge's finished for the morning" Neji called out from the foyer suddenly.
And a moment later there was the sound of feet scampering through the hall and on into the living room, Toge had a narrow-minded focus as he charged straight over to Tenten and climbed into her lap without waiting for his mother to lift him.
Tenten smiled down at her son in amusement "My what a big boy you are Toge-kun, you don't need Mum to lift you anymore I see" the brunette praised, eyeing Neji as he entered the living room with a chuckle, until he noticed their guest.
Lavender orbs narrowed, then it seemed to click for him as Neji eyed Rion curled up on the cot, before glancing to Darui in realization "Yes Neji" Sakura answered, not giving the Hyuga the chance to ask the question first.
Neji sunk down in his preferred chair with a weary sigh "So that's why you didn't tell anyone who the father was" Neji commented, able to understand, the elders of the village would have been furious that Sakura had went and gotten herself pregnant with another man of power outside the country.
"You haven't told anyone, I suppose I understand, that would have made national headlines" Darui grimaced, only just realizing what he'd done by coming there to Leaf, everyone in the great nations would probably know before he left the village.
Sakura gave him a strained smile "No point in wondering now, if it was that easy for Neji and Kakashi-sensei, it'll be easy for everyone else" the pinkette said, not planning to bow down any time soon for the elders of the Leaf Village, they could all stick it, as far as she was concerned really.
The Hyuga winced "Well if the elders start pushing upon finding out, let me know, I'm sure Inuzuka would get involved too" Neji informed, planning to protect his son's mothers, yes, he counted Sakura because the rosette had helped raise Toge as well.
And there was also Kiba to consider, the Inuzuka's wouldn't let the elders do anything to Sakura considering her part in raising Kyoka and Kyota "Thanks Neji and I'm sure to, but for now they don't know, so I'm hoping to keep it that way for at least a little while longer" Sakura smiled at Neji.
Who really had calmed down, especially after welcoming his little bundle of joy into the world with Tenten, Darui frowned, eyeing his unplanned kid "Is there anything I can do to help" he questioned, feeling like he had to, even if he didn't need to.
"Perhaps Raikage-sama...just hear me out Sakura, claim Rion as your child, but she gets to remain permanently in Leaf, you could however come visit every once in a while, like what Gaara did for Saori" Tenten piped in.
It was the only way to really protect Rion and Sakura, even Neji seemed to agree that the idea was a good one, while the rosette frowned, because this was not how she wanted things to turn out "Alright, to be honest, now that I've met her, I do want to be involved, but she gets to remain in your custody" Darui nodded his agreement.
Glad that he hadn't had to be the one to strike up that particular conversation "Very well, I'll go get the paperwork from Shishou" Sakura relented, placing a kiss on her daughter's forehead as she remained asleep and exited her house for the second time that day.
Half an hour later after a very irritating conversation with Tsunade, who had smirked the whole time in amusement, Sakura returned home with the paperwork and handed it to Darui "What took so long by the way, it's almost time for Kyoka and Kyota to return from the academy" Tenten asked.
"Darui-sama, was this your plan from the beginning, to claim Rion as your child, you just didn't want to be the one to bring it up" Sakura instead glared at the Raikage, who whistled innocently, not fooling anyone really since his machinations had already been figured out.
After a moment he finally nodded "Yes Haruno, that was my plan, I wanted to test the waters a little first, to see if you'd be receptive to the idea and yes Lady Tsunade knew" Darui answered, finishing up by signing his name before handing the folder back over to the pinkette.
Who made a clone to take the paperwork back to Tsunade instead of going out herself, but with that Darui as Rion's official father, just in time as the boisterous Inuzuka twins burst their way through the door like a horde of ramping chimera, their ninken on their heels.
"Mum, Mum guess what Kyoka was amazing in class today, she managed to hit all the targets in the center" Kyota practically shouted in excitement waking his youngest sibling from her nap, Rion sat up with a cry at being scared out of her sleep.
Causing the 6-year-old to hunch his shoulders before perking up again as he raced over to the little girl and hugged her to help Rion calm down "Sorry Mom" he apologized to Sakura, both of his mother's he called differently apparently to Darui's intrigue.
"It's okay Kyota but do be more mindful in the future alright" Sakura scolded gently as she gave the twins a hug after they'd already greeted Tenten, before they all settled down, Rion in her lap as was expected, while Tenten was surrounded by her three kids.
Until the brunette cleared her throat, reminding her eldest kids that they no doubt had homework and that they needed to get started on it, while she stood, transferring Toge to the couch and headed into the kitchen to make dinner for the lot of them.
"Lots of kids indeed" Darui commented, having witnessed first-hand the chaos of Tenten's eldest children that he'd been warned about earlier, Sakura rolled her eyes but nodded, before introducing Rion to him again and explaining a few things that she hadn't earlier.
Rion let out a happy squeal as she promptly perched herself in her father's lap, leaving Sakura's open lap to Toge "So you're really my Papa, like for real and not pretend right" Rion chattered excitedly, her personality no doubt all Sakura.
Who bit back a smile when the Raikage floundered "That's right Rion, it's for real, I helped make you a long time ago, I'm sorry it took so long to meet you, I wasn't ready then, but I am now and I plan to make it up to you for the missed years by being the best Papa that I can be" Darui promised.
Pleasing the four-year-old immensely as she leaned back in his lap, drifting off back to sleep after a few minutes to finish her nap that had been interrupted "On that note, I'll be heading back to the compound" Neji saluted, ruffling Toge's hair as he left.
And soon after the large group crowded into the kitchen for supper "Don't wanna" Kyoka whined when the food was all eaten, Tenten put a hand on her hip and stared her daughter down "Mummy please, I had one yesterday" the Inuzuka heiress sulked.
"Too bad, I've already drawn a bath for you, now Kyoka or I'll take away your sweeties for the rest of the week" the brunette threatened, her daughter had a sweet tooth and Kiba liked to spoil the girl with sweets, it was the best and worst punishment ever if her daughter got in trouble or was stubborn.
Kyoka sniffled, eyeing her other mother, but Sakura turned her head avoiding the six-year old's pleading gaze before finally accepting that she wouldn't be getting out of a bath no matter what and went to take hers, followed by Kyota, Toge and Rion, until they were all sleeping soundly for the night in their rooms.
"Quite the expert child wranglers aren't you" Darui chuckled having stayed throughout the chaos of getting the kids settled down for the night, but he knew he'd have to leave soon, it's just he didn't really want to after spending nearly the whole day getting to know his daughter.
Sakura smiled while Tenten sighed "If you think this many is bad, you should see Karin, she married Sasuke, and they have eight kids, Leiko the oldest is six, then their paternal twin boys, another daughter, triplets, two girls and another boy and another boy after that" Tenten remarked.
Causing the man to choke in response "Why so many, well it's because the Uchiha clan is pretty much extinct with the exception of Sasuke, so the elders kept pushing unfortunately for Karin to produce as many kids as they could for the restoration of the clan" Sakura explained, seeing the question.
"Okay makes sense, but surely there will be a time when the woman says enough right, also, do you think either of you will have any more kids, just curious" Darui frowned, realizing that some women had it rough being married to the last person of a clan.
Sakura and Tenten shared a look with one another "If someone did approach us, it would have to be for a very good reason that we accepted to have another child, and Karin did finally put her foot down actually, mostly because she can't have any more children really, so the elders had to quit anyway" Tenten admitted.
Earning a wince "So what would constitute as a good reason" Darui asked instead, deciding it was better not to ask about Karin Uchiha nee Uzumaki's current situation now that she could no longer produce any more kids, would Sasuke be forced to take a mistress or what, but that wasn't his business.
"We aren't simply broodmares Darui-sama, we have certain conditions, like our involvement in the child's life and whatnot, but if that is refused, we also refuse" Sakura answered, after another hour or so of questions Darui decided he'd heard enough and finally headed back to his hotel.
He did come back the next day to say goodbye to Rion, leaving her with the promise that he'd be back in a month or so with gifts, during his absence, Sakura was summoned to Sunagakure "Mommy" Saori squealed upon seeing her mother, returning from classes for the day.
"I'm here to Saori-nee" Rion pouted, when her older sister apparently only had eyes for their mother, though just as quickly Saori turned to her youngest sibling and hugged Rion as well, while Gaara and Sakura chatted with one another.
Little Saori was very happy when she found out that her mother and littlest sister would be staying for a whole week while the rosette helped in the hospital, it was there that Saori found an interest in her mother's profession as a medic and decided that she would be one to.
The week passed by far too quickly however and soon Sakura and Rion were saying farewell to Saori again, even though the tiny redhead had begged them to stay a little longer, the pair had to get back to Leaf so that no one missed them there.
And so, a few days later Sakura and Rion were home "Kakashi-sensei came by" Tenten said in lieu of a greeting, after kissing her wife and hugging the four-year-old, just glad that they were back safe and sound, despite how Saori had objected vehemently to their leaving, according to Sakura.
"Do I even want to know...of course, it has to be the elders pushing that particular idea" Sakura sighed having a pretty good guess as to why Kakashi would have shown up, the Hatake clan was just as practically extinct as the Uchiha clan after all.
Tenten shook her head, having known that Sakura would see right through her, or rather her sensei as the man showed up the next morning after all the kids except for Rion were out for the day "Can I have a word in private Sakura" Kakashi grimaced behind his mask.
Obviously not happy, she was his former student, even if he would never have to touch her, it still kind of made him sick, Sakura was like his unofficial daughter in a way "No need Sensei, Tenten has just as much right to hear whatever it is you have to ask and I already know what you want anyway" Sakura scoffed.
Not beating around the bush apparently "You don't have to agree, in fact I beg you to refuse" Kakashi informed, hoping that would be the case, but of course Sakura wasn't just any regular ole kunoichi, for some reason she actually enjoyed having kids.
"Can you promise that you'll be a part of his or her life Kakashi, think carefully, I won't have you up and disappearing on him/her if you decide that it's too much work raising a child and I'm not simply agreeing to make the elders back off" Sakura stated.
Asking a simple question "If you go through with this Sakura, I can promise that I would never abandon our child, but the situation several clans in our village are in, needs to be rectified, I just wish we weren't pushing that off on you, Tenten or poor Karin-chan" Kakashi sighed.
Handing over a donation of his sperm to the pinkette who promptly shoved him out the door to his amusement "Really wanted another kid didn't you Sakura, is the house that empty that you feel the need to fill it with more children" Tenten laughed.
When her wife allowed her to be manhandled essentially "Stop talking and fuck me Tenten, Rion's asleep so we only have so much time" Sakura demanded, allowing herself to be shoved down on the bed, later on after the vial had been emptied into her.
Did she answer Tenten's questions "Yes, I hate this feeling of the house being empty 90 percent of the day nowadays, plus it's not like I was told I couldn't have more kids after Rion, and I think she'd enjoy having some younger siblings to grow up with" Sakura hummed softly.
Pulling away reluctantly and dressing in the nick of time as a knock echoed on their bedroom door "Mumma are you in there, Shikadai is here, Aunt Temari had something to do so she left him here" Rion called out, followed by the sounds of two pairs of feet shuffling outside the door.
The two kunoichi exited the bedroom and scooped the two children up as they decided to head out into the village for an afternoon of fun and returned a couple hours later with takeout from a restaurant to find Temari lounging on their couch.
Shikadai upon being sat down hurried over to his mother "Hi, sorry for barging in, but I knew you'd be back sooner or later, also I have news, kept it hidden from Shikamaru, but I'm pregnant, today was the four-month mark and it's a girl, so you're going to be a big brother Shikadai to a little sister soon" Temari rambled.
"Congrats Temari, Shikamaru will be ecstatic I'm sure" Sakura smiled, hugging the pregnant kunoichi, not telling the blonde that soon she'd be in the same situation, she could just tell that the sample from her sensei had already taken root inside of her to conceive a child.
Temari beamed, hugged the married kunoichi in response then hurried home with son in arms to tell her husband the news, leaving Sakura, Tenten and Rion alone until the other children returned from either the Hyuga compound or the academy.
What Sakura didn't count on however was how potent Kakashi's donation would be, when Darui made another visit to the village a month and a half later, a day after she had her first ultrasound upon getting confirmation from Kiba that she was pregnant and found out that she was going to have triplets.
Kakashi by some miracle managed not to pass out at the news and basically moved in on the pregnant kunoichi and that's when the Raikage showed up "Sounds like I've missed out on a couple of things" Darui scratched his head after hearing the news.
Of course, he'd already known that the married kunoichi wanted other children, but he hadn't expected it to happen while back in his village "It's triplets, I don't know the genders yet and since they are future Hatake clan members Kakashi has practically moved into the house to help where needed" Sakura snorted.
Even though she'd told him it wasn't necessary, he wouldn't listen "Right, congrats I suppose, though you aren't about to tell me your wife is pregnant to are you" Darui asked, seeing the brunette bouncing around the kitchen preparing a later breakfast.
It was a weekend after all, which meant they'd all slept in a little later than normal "No I'm not pregnant Raikage-sama, I plan to be as helpful as possible and then maybe have another kid once she gives birth" Tenten remarked from the other room.
Kyoka and Kyota missed the sarcasm as the twins perked up "Will you really give us another sibling Mum" they asked in total unrehearsed sync, causing the woman to groan as she realized what idea she'd just put into their heads, despite the trouble they'd caused her after Toge's birth.
"Maybe" was all Tenten said, not saying yes or no to her twin's disappointment, before they were all called in for the morning meal and afterwards Darui took Rion off for some father/daughter bonding because he only managed to get a couple weeks off and he wanted to spend as much time with his child as he could.
