Chapter 5: United

In the middle of New York City stood a tall, shining building with a row of many flags lining the street in front of it.

The United Nations.

All different people came in and out of the building.

Fifteen people from different countries, backgrounds, and lives took a back stairwell, through a very intense amount of security, down to a large room underground.

Each of them greeting the others, smiling, and talking as they took their seats around the room, each one with a nameplate bearing the name of their home country.

They glanced over as a swirling portal appeared behind a massive chair and desk.

A pink femme stepped out with a smile, walking to her own giant desk. "Good morning everyone."

"Morning." A woman standing behind the nameplate for the United Kingdom representative smiled at her with a nod. "I think we're all here. So, are we ready to begin?"

"I think so."

The doors closed as the meeting of the United Nations Security Council began.

"Elita," A man who represented the country of Portugal looked down at the papers on his desk, "Rubab and Edmee informed us of your last report. The Decepticons managed to escape. Do you have any leads on them?"

The femme nodded a little.

She knew this was coming.

"As the report states, there were different circumstances than expected."

"Yes. A 'youngling'." Said the man representing Jamaica. "Which you described as the equivalent of a child to your people?"

"Exactly. She is most likely an equivalent of a teenager, maybe thirteen or fourteen years old. When I rescued her, it set off an alarm, so we had to leave. And she was in bad shape. She'd been hooked up to a cortical psychic patch, which is a cable that feeds into the mind of a Cybertronian, or a being like it; and their memories are on full display. She was hooked up, against her will, to that for at least two Earth years."

"My goodness." A man representing Niger shook his head. "That sounds horrifying."

Elita looked around at the humans. "Due to the long duration, she is still receiving medical care for her situation. She couldn't speak when she first awoke, and Velocity was able to fix her voice. She started talking yesterday, but all the connections to the rest of her body are still not operational at the moment. Velocity is going to be helping her learn to move again."

"Why would they do that to her?" Asked the woman representing Uzbekistan.

"She is from one of the Cybertron colonies called Eukaris. And she told us that she can see slightly into the future. She said some of her kind, known as Fate Weavers have this ability, and it has been documented before. There is a Decepticon known as Arachnid who is also a Fate Weaver and has this gift."

The man who represented China raised an eyebrow. "Amazing."

"Agreed." Nodded Rubab, the representative for Qatar. "And if she is not a threat, would it be possible for us to meet her?"

"I think so. I will check with her on that."

"Thank you," Edmee, the representative of France, smiled. "We would love to meet her."

Elita tapped her chin. "Also, Eukaris is also known as the Jungle Planet and does not work the same as other colonies, this means that she does not have an alternate mode like we do. She has a beast mode where she resembles an animal, which we assume to be a spider in her case." She did notice a few of the humans stiffen and shudder at that. Hopefully whoever came to visit Silk didn't have arachnophobia. "When she can move around, would it be possible for her to go to some isolated, military controlled areas so she can run around in her alternate mode, especially in a wooded area."

The representative for Japan looked around, and he smiled as the others nodded. "I think that will be fine. We will find a location for her."

"Thank you."

Elita stepped through the groundbridge, hearing sounds coming from the medical bay.

Going inside, she saw Velocity writing something down as Silk lay on her side, watching TV. The medic smiled at her boss. "Patty and Jan asked if we could move the TV into here so Silk could watch TV."

"Oh really? Are you enjoying it, Silk?"

"I like it. Humans are funny, but a little confusing sometimes."

"You have no idea." Velocity sighed.

Silk slowly rolled over a little to look at Elita. "Lotty said I could watch TV after I did my therapy."

"And you just rolled over on your own. That's progress."

"Yeah, it is." The youngling smiled a little. "I can't move my arms though, but I can feel them now."

"Wonderful."

She watched as the youngling rolled over, watching some cartoon about humanoid turtles fighting ninjas, and the femme couldn't help but smile at her progress.

The next day, Velocity stood beside Silk's bed. "You ready?"

"Yes."

Sitting up with help, Silk hissed in slight pain as her body ached from lack of use. "Good job, Silk." Velocity helped her slowly lay back down. "You're doing great."

"It hurts."

"I know it does, but you're making progress."

"Hey! Welcome back!"

Velocity looked up as she heard voices outside. "I'll be right back." Stepping out of the med bay, she smiled as she saw four figures hop out of a military jeep.

Four humans.

First came a man with olive skin and short black hair. A woman with pale skin and large curls of auburn hair followed him. On the other side of the jeep came a woman with very dark skin and long braided black hair. And after her came a man with tanned skin and long black hair.

"Where have you guys been!?" Hound knelt down to the humans.

The man with long hair laughed. "Top secret, but I'm please and a little surprised to see you still living without us here to help. We all know you're hopeless without our help."

"Oh, is that so?"

"Of course. Without us, you'd be in the ground, rusty."

The man grinned as Hound knelt down further, getting inches from his face. "Oh, them's fightin' words!"

"Want to settle this like men?"

"Absolutely… I'll set up Mario Kart."

"Bring it on."

Elita rolled her optics with a smile. "I join you and destroy you both, but first I think our friends need to meet the youngling."

The red-haired woman looked up at the femme. "We got a message about a new bot. Where are they?"

"In the medbay." Velocity pointed before poking her head back in. "Silk, would you like to meet some other friends of ours?"

"Who are they?"

"We have four humans on the team, not younglings like Jan and Patty. They've been off on their own mission for a while, but they're back."

Silk nodded. "I'd like to meet them."

Velocity stepped back out. "Come on inside."

The four humans came in as the medic helped the youngling sit up. She smiled down at the little creatures. They looked different from Jan and Patty.

Taller.

Adult.

And they all looked so unique while Jan and Patty looked similar.

Humans were so interesting.

"Hello, my name is Silk Spinner; you can call me Silk."

"Hello there." The man with short hair stepped forward, smiling softly at her. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Ayal."

"I'm Dante." Said the man with long hair.

The woman with dark skin gave a soft nod and smiled. "Hello, my name is Titilayo."

"Name's Marissa." The red head smirked. "Looks like you're doing better than the messages we got said."

"She's on the mend."

The youngling looked down at them, her optics narrowing in on the Autobot insignia the four humans wore on a piece of their clothing. "Autobots?"

Marissa pulled on her jacket, smoothing out the symbol. "Yep. We're as much a part of the team as any of these guys."

"They're wonderful! And can hold their own against any Con." Nautica poked her head in, looking down at the four. "Hi guys!"

"Hey!"

"By the way, when you're done chatting, I was able to get the DL on the Cons that had Silk."

"Be right there."

Titilayo looked back at Silk. "Get some rest, little one."

"Ok." The youngling smiled as they left. "They seem really nice."

"They are, and Marissa has been friends with our team since she herself was a youngling."

"Really?"

"That's right, now let's lay you back down."

"Alright…"

In the main hall, Nautica pulled up some images as the team gathered around, both human and bot. "I talked to Silk, and she gave me the names of the Cons that had her captive. It's a group known as Team Stream."

"Oh great!" Kup groaned.

"You know them?"

"I know of them, yeah."

Nautica looked at the screen with the images. "Their leader is Silpstream with Blackjack as her second."

"I know of her as well." Moonracer groaned. "I've heard she's a slippery glitch who can hide her energy signature and has a rep for being one of the smarter Cons. She'll be annoying."

Kup nodded. "I've met Blackjack before. And if they're a team, it'll be a problem. He's not the strongest, but he's smart too. And to have two highly intelligent Cons running the team means we need to be on alert."

"Great…"

Nautica continued. "Silk said their mad scientist, and the one who hooked her to the psychic patch was Flamewar. Who is a psycho. She's been known to kill her own team if they get in her way, but she is completely devoted to the Decepticon cause, and she will do anything for it. Besides her, they also have Shadow Striker, Hotlink, and Sunstorm."

"Of course! We already have two geniuses, and now we add her to the mix." Huffed Hound. "Shadow Striker is ruthless and feels nothing. I've dealt with her before."

"What about the other two?" Asked Ayal.

Elita looked at the images on the screen. "Hotlink has a reputation for being a tinkerer. He actually created his own weapons, rigging his blasters into flamethrowers that are hot enough to actually hurt us." She glanced down at the humans. "I'd keep away from him if I were you. Your suits can handle the impact of a blast, but his flamethrower would cook you."

Titilayo crossed her arms. "Lovely."

"And Sunstorm has an intense reputation. He thinks he's a proxy for Primus himself and is more or less a radical cultist who will destroy any who he deems as an enemy to Primus or worthy of divine justice." Saber narrowed his optics at the yellow seeker's picture.

"Slipstream, I have an idea on who the Autobot commander here might be."

"Yes, Shadow Striker?"

The one-eyed bot walked over, holding a datapad. "I was able to locate all but three commanders with our intel. The only ones unaccounted for are Prowl, Bumblebee, and Elita One. Last reports have Bumblebee someone near Velocitron, but he did spend time on this planet. Prowl was last seen on Monacus, dealing with the black markets there, and he is the least likely one to be here. Elita One was last seen with her mate but has been missing from combat for quite a long time. I think she might be either deceased, or she is the commander here."

"Elita One?" The mate of Optimus.

Interesting.

"Do you think they'll come looking for Silk?" Ayal asked as he stepped up onto a raised platform meant for humans.

"I'm sure of it." Elita looked at the images. "Silk can see slightly into the future after all. That's something they don't want us to have access to, and who knows what things she's seen."

Dante nodded. "What's the plan then?"

"Find where they have hidden their ship and deal with them. I'd rather capture them alive, but if we have to take them out, so be it."

Blackjack leaned back against the wall. "I say we find their base and blast it to ashes. Take them all with it and leave this rock."

"Or," Slipstream smirked, "this being a planet so near and dear to Optimus Prime himself, what if we were to colonize it. Subjugate or destroy the populous and claim this planet for the Decepticons. We could even use it as a decoy, and lure Autobots here, thinking it was safe."

"Now that's a great plan. That's why you're the boss."

The femme smirked, her optics distant as she remembered something.

The day she spent her time in the medical bay, watching the screen as images from Silk Spinner's mind flashed across it.

And she saw two conflicting visions, as if the outcome was in flux:

Her team's defeat, or her standing tall as leader of a planet.

This planet.

Now we have the full team here!
