Chapter 2: Star Strikin' The Dreamer!
Summary:
Keifer finally realizes his dream with a little help from his loved ones and, before spending the next two months of his life fighting for it, takes a vacation where he meets some familiar faces...
"Alright kiddo. Torque wrench." The older man held his hand out from under the machine.
"Torque wrench!" Keifer handed his uncle the tool as he began to work up the courage to ask him the question.
Chuck knew it was coming – not that he minded it. That, and it was nice when his nephew came around.
"Uncle Chuck, can you tell me more about your League run?" Keifer was hopeful as he asked him this, handing his uncle another tool as the older man's Jolteon jumped the machine with electricity.
"Let's see… what story haven't I told you yet…" Chuck tapped his chin in thought as he secured the last screw into the machine he was working on before sliding out from underneath it. "Did I ever tell you how I caught ole' Sparky here?" The Jolteon yipped excitedly at him.
"How'd you do it, how'd ya do it?" Keifer's child-like wonder had never left him, the now 13-year-old excited to hear the story.
"There's this little hidden Alcove in the South-western part of the wild area. It's mighty dangerous, but every now and then, you can find one of Eevee's many evolutions. Myself, your mom, Kelly, Flo and Theodore all went down there after beatin' Opal to fill our teams in a little bit."
Keifer's eyes went wide.
"Is that where mum caught her Glaceon, Akira?!" His uncle nodded. "That's so cool!" Whether he realized it or not, Keifer just made a horrible pun, his uncle chuckling.
"After she caught her Glaceon, we sat up camp there for the night and I found this little rascal getting' into my bag!" He lifted the happy Jolteon into his arms. "Sometimes kiddo, you don't always gotta fight to get a new partner."
The kid nodded and made a note of that, something beginning to build inside of him.
They were both on their lunch break. After farmwork that morning, Keifer had opted to go help his aunt Flo at her diner to make some extra savings and to, of course, see his aunt. The food was a nice plus though, the boy tearing into his favorite; a Torchicken-stuffed Grilled Cheese.
"Aunt Flo, when you were on your journey, how did you catch Pokemon? Did you sneak up on them? Battle them? Talk to them?"
"That's a little specific kiddo – you planning on running through the Junior League?" Flo twirled the spoon she had in her coffee.
"Not the Junior League – given that I'm two years off of being 18, I'm thinking about doing the Pokephile League Challenge, and who better to ask for advice than my family who did it all together?"
"For a goofball, you sure can use your head sometimes." As if he was still a little kid, Flo rustled her nephew's hair. "I always preferred to take them head-on and make my intention clear. I'd battle them down, and if they stayed in the ball, they stayed. If they broke out too many times, then it was clear things weren't gonna work out."
Keifer nodded between bites of his food. "Your Uncle Chuck was the one who could get by without having to battle for his catches as much. Theodore would brute force them which… didn't always work out and your mom always used creative strategies, kinda like Kelly did."
"I'll keep that in mind – thanks Aunt Flo!" Keifer hugged the older woman after he finished.
"No problem. Ready to tackle the lunch rush?"
"You know it!" Even with the impending mass of customers, that thought he was working towards continued to build.
"My run in the challenge?" Jullie honestly thought she had told her son everything.
"Yeah! How did you catch your partners? Uncle Chuck never fought, Kelly and Aunt Flo used strategy, how'd you do it mum?"
"Well…" She tapped her chin in thought for a moment. "It was ultimately down to the situation I was in. With Akira, I had to battle her; that's how you can gain the trust and respect of a stronger Wild Pokemon; by being able to beat them in a battle." Keifer nodded. "When I caught my Gothita, it had been pranking our group. I caught it off-guard."
"That's the Gothitelle that left before I was born… right?" Keifer knew that Jullie's team members that had left were a bit of a touchy subject sometimes.
"Yes. She would've loved to meet you, but… her heart yearned for her true love." Jullie said it in a fun, dramatic-flair tone, quickly re-brightening the mood. "And sometimes, just showing a Pokemon kindness is enough, or hearing their dreams and working them into your own goal. Afterall, we're all living, breathing creatures."
"Thanks mum!" Keifer hugged her, but before he could leave-
"By the way, Arthur wanted to speak to you – said it was 'important man talk'." The older woman giggled a bit.
Wasting no time, Keifer found the Pokemon he saw as his father out in the backyard over looking the massive Wooloo Field.
Soon after Theodore had left, Jullie had given the Gallade his name, one that Theodore had taken away years ago for 'simplicity's sake'.
"Hey dad, everything okay?" Keifer looked up to him; he was definitely a late bloomer in terms of height.
"More than okay. There was something I wanted to speak to you about." That first bit got the gears turning in his mind, but that second bit kicked the machine into high-gear.
"Well, shoot!" Keifer felt a sense of mounting tension…!
"I'm going to propose to your mother tonight."
The kid nearly exploded. He practically tackled Arthur into a hug. He knew that Arthur and his mom had been in love ever since Theodore was gone – especially when he saw them kiss every now and then, and how they'd do stuff together as family frequently.
"Do it Dad, do it! It'll make both of you really happy and… it'll make me happy too!"
That was all the Gallade needed to hear.
To say the proposal was perfect was an understatement. Jullie was already having Kelly and Kassi over for dinner that night, meaning they had the candle-lit picnic table outside.
Once dinner was finished, Arthur made his move. He had kneeled in front of Jullie and as soon as he opened the ring box, she had about nearly broken down.
She had said yes and in the coming days, they had told all their friends and family and had begun planning the wedding out.
Before any of them knew it, the Day of the Wedding had come. Milo, Chuck, Kassi, Kelly and Flo, alongside all their Pokemon were there.
It had been small gathering, but that didn't change how important or special of a moment it was between Arthur and Jullie. Milo acted as their Officiant, and as soon as they said yes, the two were married until the end of all things, making Arthur Keifer's legal father and himself and Jullie Husband and Wife.
The Wedding Party had been great too; Mari had hand-made a 4-tier wedding cake for the two over the process of several days while Flo took care of catering, bringing some of the greatest food any of them had ever had from her diner, and Katie, Kelly, Milo and Chuck had brought several wedding gifts for the newlyweds.
After the wedding had ended, Milo had agreed to stay at Jullie's for a week so the two could go on a Honeymoon. Keifer was still naïve to what that was, but everyone else around him knew all too well what the two were going to get in to…
As far as the greenhead was aware, his parents were beyond happy, and that made him happy!
He was gonna be 18 in 2 months. The 17 year old Keifer was laying on the hill under the singular, massive tree that had been growing on the Wooloo Farm for decades, looking up at the stars.
He had done this a few times now – afterall, the grass over here was always clean and more than comfy enough to lay down on for a bit – not that he'd notice if it was uncomfy given how the many years of Farmwork had toned his body and made him used to uncomfortable positions.
His partner, Buttercup, lay flat on her stomach next to him, also looking up at the stars. The two had built a close and deep bond over the 10 years they knew one another, and they'd practically do anything for one another.
Ever since Theodore had been forced out, it had been easier for Jullie to get better. Not being exerted by that awful man every day meant her body got the rest it needed to recover from her aliment. While she couldn't do much in terms of hard farm work, the basics were back under her belt…
Which opened a door of opportunity the green head had considered many times and was bordering on.
When a person turned 18 in the Galar Region, they could participate in the Pokephile Challenge. It still had the same 'Battle Galar's Gym Leaders and get the 8 Badges to challenge the League' type deal, but, as the name implied, it came with a ton of differences.
What differences? Oh, nothing too crazy; just much harder gym challenges, every official battle a trainer took could have any set of stakes including sexual favors, Trainer's Gym Uniforms had special threads in them to drive their libido up when they lost a Pokemon in a Gym Battle, and, oh, not to mention that you could end up fully naked and it be shown on live Television for the world to see.
And, the backbone of it all…
Deepen the bond between human's and Pokemon. It was absolutely no secret that the Galar Region was open to and fully embraced Humans and Pokemon engaging in sexual activities with one another; often referred to as Pokephilla.
In almost any other region in the world, it was shunned, got you beat up, locked up or a mix of the three. But not in Galar; it was fully embraced there, evidenced by the many human/Pokemon couples, his mom and dad, and the often times Pokephillic-Nature of a loss to a Gym Leader.
Laying there, thinking about all of it and everything that had happened to that point…
"Buttercup." He spoke to her as the two still looked at the starry night sky. "I know what we're gonna do." There was a burning determination in his voice. "We're gonna get stronger – yeah, real stronger, together! We're gonna take on the Pokephile League and become Champions!"
That was his dream. For years now, that's what he wanted to do.
And no matter what, no matter how long it too, Keifer would do whatever it took to achieve it.
He was all signed up for the Pokephile League. Thanks to changes in the rules the past few years, despite not turning 18 until the Challenge officially starter, Keifer was able to participate regardless thanks to said-change.
All that was left to do was…
Wait.
He had basically completed all his prep; his travelling bag was ready, save for clothes that'd be packed the morning of leaving.
Keifer did, however, decide on one thing to do before the League started; to go see his Aunt Katie for a handful of reasons.
One, he'd never gotten to go to Alola and could definitely use a short vacation before spending the next 2 months of his life fighting his way through the Galar League. Two, there was a chance to catch a Pokemon or two not found in the Galar Region and, three… some 'special' time with his aunt.
Looking in the mirror before jumping into bed, Keifer had changed a lot since he was a little kid; He had hit his growth spurt and practically shot up; standing at a surprising 6 Feet Tall and 4 inches on top, with his hair not being too long, but still messy, spikey and green as ever. He had toned out nicely and had a fair amount of muscle on himself from his years of farmwork and morning workout routine he had followed for a while now.
That wasn't the 'only' workout his body got either. When he had gotten older, he had gotten the whole 'Rookidees and Combees' talk. And a little after that, Mari had been his first. And a while after that, his mother was his first human partner – an act that anywhere else in the world would be shamed, but in Galar, was relatively common and accepted.
So, to say his life had changed, maybe that was a slight understatement. But to him, it was all positive.
Tomorrow, the greenhead would be heading to Alola, and he honestly had no clue what all was in store.
The next morning, while Keifer waited for his Sky Taxi to arrive and take him to the Wyndon Airport, his practically life-long friends Kassi and Hop had come down to the Wedgehurst Town entrance to bid him farewell.
"I don't know when, but we all gotta meet up together during the challenge." Keifer bro-fisted Hop and he and Kassi shared a genuine hug. "One of us three is gonna make it to the finals, so promise me you won't fall off early."
"I gotta take Leon's title – ya know I won't lose!" Hop flashed Keifer his signature grin.
"You two are getting way in over your heads – I'M gonna become the Champion; just you watch!" Kassi grinned and the three of them shared one last laugh.
No matter what, Keifer knew he'd see them again.
"Ugh… neck…" Keifer rubbed the stiffness of it as he departed from the Sky Taxi. Like always, he had fallen asleep on the flight over – something about being in the air… he just slept peacefully. It was the polar opposite when he was a little kid, though – his mom would have to comfort him the whole time.
Taking a moment to stretch, Keifer basked in the sunlight and looked around for a second. Wyndon was the largest, most modern city in the entire Galar Region; all sorts of different shopping centers, massive business buildings, Rose Tower, the Rose Stadium and, of course…
The Wyndon Airport. Keifer had only been twice – both times for different yearly Farmer''s Guild meetings.
Being semi-familiar with how an airport was structured, it didn't take the greenhead too long to make his way through and past security, despite the rather large crowds of people seemingly flocking the entrance and exit area.
That didn't make too much sense to him, but he decided to not question it, opting to just continue to his gate. The Wyndon Airport was one of the largest in the world, so after what felt like 20 minutes of walking, Keifer finally, finally made it to his gate.
And as he looked at the electronic screen that told airport goers what time flights were going in and out…
"You gotta be kidding me!" His flight to Alola had been delayed by two and a half hours. He felt flabbergasted. "I coulda slept in!"
"What's the matter, sugar?"
That voice-
Keifer knew that voice all too well, almost entirely thanks to Kassi who wouldn't go a day at MAX without showing him and/or Hop clips of the girl's most recent Contest Performances, Interviews, or blogs.
Who was said-girl?
Keifer turned and found himself staring at the most iconic sibling duo from the Sinnoh Region itself, Wolf and Kat. The former being the Sinnoh Champion's several year-long undefeated Champion and the latter being a World Contest Star and Philanthropy Extraordinaire.
Keifer's brain stopped for a solid several seconds; Kat was the very definition of hot; even hotter in person than the many, many clips Kassi had shown him throughout the years. And Wolf… well he was one of Keifer's idols.
…and the tiny, unexplored part of himself felt bothered, but he forced that down really quick as he tried to say something, anything to them – even Arthur, who was there with Keifer, couldn't break him from his stupor.
Wolf looked like he was gonna laugh, but Kat quickly broke the silence with a giggle. "Don't worry sugar – we've certainly got this affect on everyone, you certainly ain't the first nor will ya be the last."
Keifer finally found his words after a few more moments. "Well, guess you could say my luck's gone to the wolves-" They all shared a small laugh at the bad pun. "-my flight to Alola's been delayed." Keifer gestured to the screen he was looking at, pointing to the now 3 P.M flight to the 'Always Sunny' region.
After that, the three, well, technically 5 of them including Arthur and Wolf's Shiny Pacharisu, Shortcake, stepped away from the screen so they could continue talking.
Finally having some courage and his wits about him…
"It's… it's a genuine honor to meet both of you." He managed to hold his voice together… So far so good. "I'm Keifer, and this is Arthur. He's…" For a second, he didn't quite know if he should tell them that Arthur was legally his dad. They might find that off-putting and there'd go his chance at potentially befriending the duo. "My mom's closest partner – he's just comin' with me to get a break from Farmwork, and…"
In a flash of light, Keifer had let Buttercup out of her ball, Kat immediately scooping the little Chikorita into her arms and fawning over its' cuteness as Arthur and Wolf seemingly engaged in a telepathic dialogue for a few moments.
And after all that, Keifer decided to ask the question he'd been holding onto.
"So… what brings you guys to Galar – if you don't mind me asking, that is."
"Well, my bro here actually has an exhibition match against Galar's Champ." Kat smiled to him and Wolf nodded, taking his cue to talk.
"Mhm. We're gonna be kicking off this year's Pokephile League with a one-on-one next week." Keifer's eyes widened at that – this was his first-time hearing about that. "Figured we'd do some sightseeing and see what Galar was all about in the meantime… assumin' we don't get mobbed by our fans the whole time." There was another small round of chuckling shared between them.
"Well, hey, if you're gonna be around that long, maybe we'll bump into one another at some point again." Keifer figured it was worth a shot to say that, and he was surprised when Kat nodded alongside Wolf. He knew they had a reputation for not minding spending time with their fans sometimes, but he'd heard horror stories of big-note trainers, stars, etc who had been proposed to sign their fangirls a-
Grerrrrrrrrrrrrrr…
A cacophony of stomach growls rang out between the three of them. Keifer hadn't eaten breakfast that morning and both Wolf and Kat hadn't eaten anything before their flight, the three young adults sharing a collective laugh.
"Well, ain't that somethin'." They all shared Wolf's sentiment. But before the three of them could go any further on lunch plans…
"DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The distressed cry of the Security Dragonite Keifer had passed on his way in rang out. It had seemed happy enough when he was going through security – the green head assumed it was just extra muscle for if bad guys showed up…
But based on the excited shouting and the sounds of a massive group of approaching footsteps…
"Oh dear…" Kat sounded a little nervous. "I guess… that's our fans."
"Argh, why did I have to leave Gwaine at home!?" As Wolf spoke in a stressed out tone, the cogs in Keifer's mind were spinning wildly.
"Arthur's known teleport since I was really little – we still use it sometimes to get to and from places if it's rainy. And we're all hungry, so…"
"Wolf, Kat, I have an idea. Arthur knows Teleport – he's used it a lot since I was a little kid yada-yada. My point is, I can have him get us to a different section of the airport and maybe we can grab a bite together – my treat."
"Are you two sure about that? I don't want yer partner getting' overworked." Wolf looked between Keifer and Arthur.
Just because the latter didn't battle anymore didn't mean he'd become weaker, and with a nod between father and son…
"We insist!" Wolf and Kat nodded, the three humans and humanoid-like Pokemon quickly forming a circle…!
And in a flash of light as the massive mob of fans rounded the corner, they disappeared.
As quickly as they had disappeared, Keifer, Wolf, Kat, Shortcake, Buttercup and Arthur reappeared, the massive teleport making the small group temporarily dizzy. Arthur stumbled a fair bit more than Keifer expected, the boy quickly catching his father.
"Thanks, dad." He whispered it as everyone got their bearings.
"Thanks, you two!" Kat smiled to them as the small group basked in the peaceful silence, especially given they were just seconds away from being mobbed, the sounds of screaming and shouting now replaced by light music in the food court.
With the dizziness gone, everyone was hungry once again, leading to Keifer speaking up. "C'mon guys – let's go find somewhere to sit down and eat at." He gestured for Wolf and Kat to follow him.
"You sure Keif? In my eyes you've done more than enough already – saving us from our fan mob, you don't gotta do this." Wolf spoke in a chill, nice tone. Despite his words, Keifer was set, speaking once more.
"I'm positive." He smiled to the two of them. "It's not every day you meet your idols, and besides, we're all hungry."
"Can't argue with that." Kat giggled after speaking, the sibling duo noticing how much more comfortable Keifer had grown in their presence, which is what he had been hoping to achieve.
"Fair point." Wolf agreed and decided it wouldn't do any harm. The group milled around for a bit, trying to decide on where to sit down – a lot of the standard fast-food places seemed tempting, if not for the fact that some of them weren't quite open yet.
Rounding a corner, though, a certain jingle played out, bringing the three humans to face one of the only open sit-down restaurants in the airport food court.
"Mario and Luigi's." Keifer read the words aloud, the text in green and red, the smell of amazing breads and pastas assaulting the group's noses and making their stomachs howl.
"Think we found our place." Wolf smiled and as the group stepped in, a bell above them dinged.
"Be with you in just-a second – sit wherever you'd like!" One of the restaurant employees called out in a decently heavy accent. They didn't see the man – presumably he was in the kitchen, located behind the bar.
Finding a nice booth in the corner, the group sat down; Shortcake sitting in Wolf's lap, Buttercup snuggled in Kat's lap (Keifer just now noticed how quickly the little leaf dino had grown to like her), with said-girl and Keifer being on the outer-ends of the booth, with Arthur between Keifer and Wolf.
"It was very kind of you to help us out, sugar." Kat had a genuine smile as she spoke to Keifer. The greenhead DID get a little red admittedly, but still easily held his cool regardless.
"Think nothing of it – I'm sure you two would've done the same for me if the roles were reversed." As he finished talking, their server walked up to the booth.
"Good afternoon! I'll a be your server today." He was an older, shorter gentleman. He wore white and red, and Keifer thought his nose was almost comical. "Here's some menus – what can I get you to drink in the meantime?"
"Pinap Juice with an extra dash of Lum Berry juice if you've got it!" That was Keifer's absolute favorite – there was one time when he was younger where his mom almost had to hide it from him. The older man nodded.
"We don't have that back in Sinnoh so, we'll both drink what he's havin'." Wolf spoke for Kat and himself, the older man nodding, leaving them to look over the menus.
It was all really good sounding pasta, breads and even meatballs that sounded like Keifer's cholesterol level would skyrocket.
After the three had made their choices…
"So. Keif, tell us a little bout' yourself!" Kat said it with that same smile as she spoke – it made Keifer wanna just dump everything out there, but not wanting to off-put his potential new friends, he opted to keep it simple.
"Well, I was born and raised here in Galar – lived on a farm my whole life so far." They both nodded.
"I know what that's like – hard work, but-"
"It shapes the body real good!" Keifer finished Wolf's sentence, the two sharing a good laugh and Kat playfully rolling her eyes in response. "And you've pretty much met my team." He gestured to Buttercup who now snoozed in Kat's lap. "Seems like Buttercup's warmed up to you Kat – you a Pokemon Whisperer?"
Another round of laughs came out of them. "I guess so, sugar." She gently stroked the grass-type's head. "How did you meet your Chikorita? It certainly isn't one of the traditional Galar Starters as far as I'm aware."
"My aunt actually gave her to me for my seventh birthday – she's the one I'm actually going to Alola to see before the Pokephile Challenge kicks off. Figured I'd take a vacation before fighting my way to be the region's new champion starting next week!" He grinned.
"Good mindset to have right there – if I don't see you in the semi-finals, we're gonna go round and round Keif." Wolf joked with him and Keifer laughed.
With how the three were connecting, you'd honestly think they had been good friends for a while.
Over the course of well over the next hour, the group continued to chat and grow closer. Keifer told Wolf and Kat a little more about him and they told him some stuff about them. And the food they had, needless to say, was something else – Keifer could've sworn that by the time he finished his plate, he might've been a belt size or two bigger.
"I can't eat another bite – I might pop like an Electroball!" Wolf and Keifer shared Kat's sentiment.
"Sounds like my brother did a good job!" Their server – who they had learned was named Mario, walked up. "Here's the bill – can I get you all anything else?"
"I think we're good." Wolf went to reach for the checkbook as Mario walked away, but Keifer was quicker on the draw.
"I told ya Wolf – my treat." Keifer had plenty of money to spare; he saved most of what he made from helping out on the Wooloo farm, helping his Aunt Flo at her Diner and helping his Uncle Chuck at the Machine shop.
"Alright, but I'm tippin' em too – I've never had pasta as fine as that in my entire life." At that, the Sinnoh Champion reached into his jacket and pulled out a stack of bills that nearly made Keifer's brain stop. That made the bill look like a PENNY.
With the bill paid, they all rose up and stepped out of the restaurant. With a glance back at the clock, though…
"Huh, seems like my flight is gonna be boarding soon – we REALLY killed the time." Keifer had about 30-ish minutes to get back to his gate. "You guys probably get asked this a lot, but… think we can get a picture before we split?"
"Sugar, you didn't even have to ask!" Kat's words made him grin, Keifer quickly pulling his phone out and setting it to picture mode, the Rotom Phone quickly grabbing a few shots. "Lemme see your phone real quick Keifer."
Not sure why Kat would want it, he nodded regardless. And after handing it to Kat, Wolf spoke.
"I hope we see one another again – you seem like a great guy, Keif." Wolf shook hands with him and Keifer felt like his heart was gonna pop.
"…that means a TON coming from you, thanks Wolf. And, even if I gotta go outta my way to find you guys, I hope we get to see one another again." The older boy nodded to him.
"Well, hopefully this will make it easier." Kat handed his phone back to him and seeing who she had just added to his contacts, the fact Keifer's heart didn't pop from excitement was nothing short of a miracle. "Those are our phone numbers, sugar. Call us whenever ya' want and when you're back, I'm sure me and my bro can make time to hang out. Just, don't go leakin' em to the public. That's happened once before."
"Of course I won't go doing that. I… don't even know what to say. Thanks you two, seri-" Keifer's understandably starstruck face was quickly shot down as an all too familiar shouting started up, cutting him off.
"OVER THERE!" The small group quickly turned to see, at the very far end of the food court, a massive mob of Paparazzi and Fans had noticed them. Keifer could've sworn he heard Shortcake say something that could've passed for 'Shit' under her breath as they all quickly looked around for a means of exit.
"…shit, no direct exits!" They were definitely not in a shape to get fan-mobbed, and while they were now his friends, Keifer wasn't ready to be swamped with dozens of questions.
"Keifer, hold your ground and I'll be back as fast as possible." Arthur spoke fast and Keifer nodded.
"Wolf, Kat – Arthur is gonna get you guys outta here." Keifer had a confident grin on his face.
"But what about you sugar?" Arthur was already gently grabbing their hands. "Some of our fans are… well hyper, for lack of nicer term."
The screaming and shouting was getting closer.
"I got this." Before either Sinnoh Sibling could protest, they disappeared in a shower of sparkles.
And then Keifer's confidence faded when he saw how much closer the rabid mob had gotten.
"HE WAS WITH THEM!" One person screamed.
"HE GOT PICTURES!"
"WHAT IF HE GOT THEIR NUMBERS!?"
Oh fuck.
They were almost on top of Keifer – he wasn't about to overrun Mario and Luigi's – not when they made Spaghetti that went toe-to-toe with his mom's-
And then, the shouting was gone.
Keifer was right back at his gate, Arthur holding onto him. There were a few more people there, but it seemed like they hadn't been missed.
"I… wow." Keifer thought for a moment that he was dreaming. "That all… that all just happened, right?"
"You aren't dreaming son." Arthur's words were all that he needed to hear, and if that wasn't enough…
"Attention Flight 420, we're now boarding. Flight 420 departing to the Alola Region, we are now boarding."
Finally in his seat and comfy, Keifer sent a text to his mom and aunt – letting the former know he was about to be in the air and the latter know that they were about to be heading her way.
And after that, seeing all the photos he had gotten with his new friends…
Kassi, you won't believe who I just met at the airport.
Who? Your friend Toby?
Keifer had a wide grin on his face, having to hold in laughter and tears of joy as he sent the pictures he had taken with Wolf and Kat to the platinum blonde, who INSTANTLY fired off half a dozen responses.
ASYASASS
WTF
VIDCALL ME RIGHT NOW KEIF!
KEIF PLEASE
Kassi I'm taking off.
The seat belt sign had flipped to on and the plane started moving, yet, his phone began to ring the tune he had set for Kassi.
…which he slid to hang up.
KEIF SO HELP ME ARCEUS
Can't call taking off. Later dork :P
At that, his phone lost service, Keifer howling with laughter in the back of his mind.
"Alola, here I come!"
A.N:
Huge thanks to Nova for coming up with Keif teasing
Kassi over seeing Wolf and Kat and getting to meet them
before she did. The meeting them part is the same
as the original story with the addition of the texting
and Buttercup, the resident leaf dino.
Thanks for reading Chapter 2! There's more to come soon!
