Rasa
"Hey, you!"
The angry yell caused the young shinobi to turn on his heel out of surprise. Rasa's dark eyes widened, watching as the woman pulled herself from beneath the gold dust technique he had thought had decimated her. The strange, glittering pink hue to her flesh caused him to tense, expecting retaliation from the intruder now that it was apparent she housed a kekkei genkai capable of negating his own.
"Are you an idiot?" she continued to shout, huffing as she yanked herself from the golden prison. Throwing out her arm, she pointed directly at him in much the same way a mother scolding her child would once she was on her feet again. "You could've killed somebody doing that!"
Baffled by the reprimand, Rasa could only blink. "...what?"
In the world of shinobi, the natural response to an enemy was to eliminate it as quickly and as effortlessly as possible. It was the same regardless of whether or not that perceived threat had clearly dug their way into the center of another hidden village and popped out of an old, dried up well. There was little room for error while the world was filled with war and bloodshed, after all, and it was that reason alone that made Rasa wonder if the woman was daft.
Maybe she had hit her head while inside that well.
"You shouldn't attack people out of nowhere, that's what!" She stomped her foot, further cementing the theory in his mind. While she may have blended in with her dark hair and blue eyes, as rare as it was, it was obvious she was foreign with her pale complexion alone. There was not a civilian or shinobi alive that would have chosen such an odd assortment of clothing to protect themselves from the blistering sun above. That alone was more than enough to make him wonder if she had lost her mind. "It's rude, for one thing! I was just trying to figure out where I was, and instead of giving me a minute to try and explain, you tried to bury me beneath… beneath… what is this, more sand?"
His mouth parted slightly in confusion.
A minute could have cost him his life, and she was offended he had not given her a chance to talk to him first?
"You've gone mad," he breathed in response.
"Mad?" Rolling her eyes, she cocked her head just enough to convey how stupid she thought that statement was. "I'm not the one who started throwing gold sand around without asking for your name first, buddy."
Unable to process the situation fully, Rasa could only gape at her when she suddenly smiled like the sun itself.
"It's Kagome, by the way," she chirped. "In case you were wondering!"
She was truly insane.
…and yet, for whatever reason, he replied, "Rasa," before wondering if maybe he had gone a little mad, too.
