Chapter 13: Rematch! Pegasus vs Chimera
Gingka approaches Kyoya and Benkei, who are with a group of soldier Koco.
Kyoya: I don't care if you're afraid! Those are your people out there!
Gingka: Hey, coach, what's with the pep talk?
Kyoya grunts in anger.
Kyoya: With the defenses down the soldiers are supposed to fall back to a bunker.
Gingka: Then I'll round-up the stragglers and you supervise, commanders.
Kyoya: That sounds... that sounds good.
Benkei: Yeah. Let's do this.
Gingka: But before we do, I have a question.
Kyoya: What is it?
Gingka: What do you think of the weird capsules being used to contain the power of the beys we use today?
Kyoya: Contain? No, I think they're meant to protect them. Even harness their power. You've experienced yourself the limitless power of Pegasus. Even if they didn't have them all, a couple would have provided more than enough energy to live comfortably.
Gingka: Enough to power the ruins, Cyber Space... I wonder... if the Ancients somehow lost their access to the beys. Would that have caused them to disappear?
Benkei: Hey. That's what I'm wondering!
Kyoya: Anyways, let's do this.
(Play Quest: SOS Backup from Sonic Frontiers for this section.)
Gingka launches Pegasus and the bey follows the Soldier Kocos to Kyoya.
Gingka: Go Pegasus! (The solider Koco follow Pegasus, but they drop smoke bombs, which went off. When the smoke clears, they continued to make their way to Kyoya and Benkei. And with a second the spare, they made it to the duo and Pegasus returns to Gingka.) Good job, Pegasus!
Kyoya sees the bunker and has a flashback scene of Beyblade Metal Fusion Episode 2 where he first battles Gingka.
Gingka: Is this the place? (Kyoya doesn't respond.) Yo, Kyoya?
Kyoya: Gingka, this... this looks like ruins from Africa. What if the people of these islands survived and resettled near Dynamis' domain? That'd make this pretty important.
While the group of Soldier Kocos march, one of them sees something. With another Koco colliding into it from behind it sees something and starts yelping, alerting Gingka, Kyoya and Benkei.
Gingka: That's not a good sound.
All the Kocos retreat. The trio of bladers look up. Several guardian bladers appear.
Kyoya: They're going to assault the bunker! (Has the flashback in his head.) I can't... I can't lose this!
Benkei: We gotta do something before they destroy it.
Gingka: We've got this guys. I've got your back!
He sets up Pegasus and launches the bey and the guardian bladers launch their beys as well.
(Play Quest: The Best Defense from Sonic Frontiers for the rest of this section.)
Benkei: You got this, Gingka!
Kyoya: Stop them from destroying to bunker!
Gingka: Go Pegasus!
Pegasus dashes towards the beys and they attack head on at once. Pegasus frees itself and activates its final drive mode and slams into all the beys, sending them flying and defeating them. The guardian bladers were angry until...
???: That's enough!
Benkei: Huh?
Kyoya: Wait a second. I recognize that voice!
The voice was revealed to be Kakeru.
Kakeru: I'll take it from here.
Kyoya: Is that...
Kakeru: Huh? Kyoya?
Kyoya: Kakeru?
Benkei: Wait. You two know each other?
Kyoya: Yeah. He's my younger brother. But what are you doing here?
Kakeru: I'm here for my rematch against Gingka. He defeated me on Kronos Island and I'm gonna challenge him to a rematch here on Ares Island!
Gingka: A rematch, huh? Well, okay. Just so you know, I've gotten a lot stronger since the first time we battled.
Kakeru: Okay then. Let's battle!
Gingka and Kakeru were about to have a rematch on an open field in Ares Island in front of a beystadium.
Benkei: Kyoya, you never told me you had a brother.
Kyoya: There's some things you don't know about me.
Gingka: You ready, Kakeru?
Kakeru: I was born ready. Here we go!
Gingka and Kakeru: 3, 2, 1! Let It Rip!
The duo launched their beys and the battle starts.
Gingka: Go Pegasus!
Kakeru: Go Chimera!
The two bey collided with each other and start clashing heavily.
Benkei: Wow. This battle's starting to be epic! I want to get in on this!
Kyoya: Dark Bull is just gonna go through them since we're both trapped in cyberspace.
Benkei: Aw man!
Gingka: Go!
Pegasus and Chimera collided again.
(Play Guardian: Ninja from Sonic Frontiers for this part.)
Kakeru: You really think you can defeat me again? Well, I've trained for long and hard hours for this! Chimera!
Chimera starts to spin to the center of the stadium.
Gingka: I won't lose to you! Pegasus, Smash Mode!
Pegasus switches to smash mode and attacked Chimera multiple times.
Kakeru: I knew you were gonna do that. Chimera! Beast Trick!
Chimera's special move collies heavily at Pegasus, causing a big explosion.
Gingka: Pegasus! (The smoke clears and Pegasus continues to spin, but begins losing its balance.) It can't be!
Kakeru: I'm not gonna lose to you again! My bey may be a balance type, but I'm still gonna crush you! Go Chimera!
Chimera's beast trick continues attacking Pegasus again and again and the bey was sent flying in the air.
Gingka: Big mistake, Pal! Special Move: Pegasus Starbooster Attack!
Pegasus' special move dashes towards Chimera.
Kakeru: I don't think so! Special Move: Wild Reversed Dance Of The Beast! (Chimera's avatar comes out of the bey and charges towards Pegasus' avatar. They both collided, triggering another big explosion. The smoke clears and Pegasus was still in the air.) Prepare for a big defeat!
Gingka: Nice try, but I have one last trick up my sleeve! Pegasus, Final Drive Mode! (Pegasus activates it's final drive mode and charges towards Chimera.) Special Move: Pegasus Cosmic Tornado!
Pegasus starts to spin around in a circle at rapid speed while charging towards Chimera.
Kakeru: Special Move: Wild Reversed Dance Of The Beast!
Both special moves collided and a huge explosion occurs. And when the smoke clears, both beys have stopped spinning.
Gingka: What?
Kakeru: A tie?!
Kyoya: I'll admit that battle was pretty epic, but I'm disappointed that my brother didn't actually win it.
Benkei: It was so epic, I wanted to join!
He starts crying tears of joy. Kakeru picks up Chimera and leaves them.
Gingka: Let's battle sometime!
Kakeru: Okay.
He leaves.
Later at night, Gingka, Kyoya and Benkei watch the Starfall comets shooting from the sky.
Kyoya: 2 months ago, we were almost wiped away by Nemesis. I know the Koco faced something similar. It reminds me I'm the lone lion. That I'm alone.
Gingka: You may be the lone lion, but you're not alone. You've got us, Kyoya.
Kyoya: I'll admit. I do envy your lifestyle. Freedom to go where you want, when you want.
Gingka: So do it! Get out there and live a little.
Kyoya: Maybe I could... but first, I need to be back to normal. So hurry up, and get me back to normal, so we can have another battle so I can defeat you!
Gingka: Anything to get you away from me!
Gingka and Kyoya stare competitively at each other again. Shots of their pupils show on screen. Soon the seriousness turns into laughter and they share a fist bump. Benkei joins the fist bump.
Benkei: We're rooting for you, Gingka!
Gingka: Thanks. You're some of the greatest friends I could ever ask for.
Silver is below the trio.
Silver: He helps those he is at odds with. He is quick to make peace. Perhaps... (Thinks) No, I have run the simulations. They are doomed.
The next morning, Gingka approaches a crane game part of the island.
Kyoya: Gingka! Check these out. I don't think this ancient Machinery was active before. Any idea what changed?
Gingka: Something similar happened on the last island. Let's just call it a little "divine intervention." If I can solve the locks code, it should open the way to that Titan Blader.
Benkei: Wait, Gingka. You haven't done much training, have you? Well, that guy will tear you to shreds.
Gingka: I was strong enough to defeat the last Titan Blader. I'm willing to bet it's the same deal here. First, though, I need to play this crane game. Let me see... the stones and the ports seem to have corresponding colors.
He slowly approaches the machine.
Stay tuned for chapter 14, which is the final chapter of the Ares Island arc. And don't worry, I haven't forgotten this story, and I'm still gonna do Cartoons in Space.
