Chapter 5
"So I'll ask you one more time. Where is Nagato!"
Konan not wanting to see that ten tailed monster again agrees to help them.
Seeing Konan nod, Demogoblin turns to the purple toad.
"Release her"
Hearing this the purple toad turns to Jiraiya and the other toad who tell her to do it leaving her no choice but to retract her tongue. Once free she then gets back up and wipes her tears away before composing herself and then focusing on Demogoblin.
"Now then. Take us to Nagato" Demogoblin commanded only for Konan to tell him she won't be able to take them there seeing as her chakra was still sealed.
At this, Demogoblin lightly chuckles.
"No matter. My glider will take care of that" Demogoblin says as his eyes glow summoning the glider and gets on. He then motions Konan to get on but could see her hesitating considering the glider was made of fire. Seeing this he decides to elaborate to ease her fears.
"There is no need to fear the flames my dear. They will only burn you if I will it" Demogoblin said as he offered her a hand.
Not seeing any other choice, Konan grabs the offered hand having him pull her up.
"Now hold tight"
Doing as she is told, she grabs on to his arm as they ascend into the air.
Jiraiya seeing this gathers chakra on his feet and begins making his way up. It only takes a few seconds but he eventually reaches the top of one of the buildings.
Seeing Jiraiya catch up, he then glances at Konan.
"Where is he?"
Without any hesitation she then points to the building with the giant demonic face.
Demogoblin seeing the tallest building with the giant face couldn't help but want to puke at seeing how much of a god complex Nagato had.
Wanting to end this, he then flies towards the building leaving Jiraiya who was deep in thought.
Once he was in front of the giant face, Konan had suggested they go through one of the hidden doors only for the glider to shoot a missile at the face having most of it explode which created a large opening.
"Knock knock"
Truth be told he had made sure the missile wasn't as powerful seeing as he wanted to confront Nagato, not have him get crushed by a crumbling building.
As he waited for Jiraiya, he then sensed a familiar 'Aloa vera'
With Jiraiya/ Moments prior:
Seeing Konan point to the tall building with the giant face, he can't help but feel a sense of apprehension as he is about to see another of his former students.
Konan may have changed sides thanks to Demogoblin but he had a feeling Nagato would do no such thing which worries him since it would mean he'd have to die.
"Jiraiya-chan"
Jiraiya glances at the green toad to see what he had to say.
"I know Nagato was another of your students and he may well be the child of prophecy but you've seen for yourself what he plans to do" Pa said with Jiraiya's head turning to the side.
"His six paths of Pain may be destroyed but he is still a threat"
Hearing this Jiraiya sighs. As much as he doesn't want to do it, he knows that if he doesn't, not only will Konoha be in danger but so would Naruto.
"Let's get this over with. I still have to make dinner after this" Ma said impatiently getting Jiraiya to shake his head but agree none the less.
Just as he was about to make his way to Nagato's location, he then hears an explosion followed by Demogoblin's voice
"Knock knock"
On a nearby building:
"This is bad" an unknown voice spoke revealing it to be a tall individual wearing Akatsuki robes. His appearance consisted of two different colored sides which were actually two different individuals along with two large venus fly trap extensions that emerged from their sides.
"Shouldn't we do something?" White Zetsu asked as he watched the hooded demon blow a large hole on the side of the building where Nagato was located while Black Zetsu said nothing.
He needed to retrieve the Rinnegan so he could give it to Obito to continue his plan but with the hooded demon and Jiraiya there it was impossible.
Seeing no other choice, he decides to retreat to inform Obito of what had transpired so they could plan their next move.
As he's Sinks into the ground, he never notices Demogoblin looking towards him, eyes glowing.
With Demogoblin:
'Zetsu'
The true orchestrator of all that had happened. He would make him suffer in due time.
Turning back to the giant hole, he and Konan jump off and land inside as he dismisses the glider while moments later Jiraiya catches up to them.
"Are you ready?" Demogoblin asks Jiraiya who has a serious look on his and responds with a "yes" as they start making their way inside with Konan being in front leading the way.
As they go through a few narrow corridors, they eventually enter a large dark room where a familiar red head was waiting for them.
"We meet at last" Demogoblin said having Nagato glare at him.
"Nagato"
Hearing his old sensei he turns to Jiraiya who had a sad look on his face at seeing the sorry state he was in.
Nagato then turns to Konan with a look of anger for betraying him only to be caught off guard as she calls him the traitor instead.
Nagato seemed to get even more angry as she kept telling him on how he had twisted Yahiko's dream and how his plan to bring peace to the Elemental Nations was doomed to fail.
As this was happening, Demogoblin noticed the black rods on Nagato's back started to move meaning he would need to act.
"I know the reason your doing all this." Demogoblin said getting Nagatos attention "Believe it or not, I know what you've been through"
"You know nothing, demon!"
"On the contrary. Like you, I know what its like to lose everything. I know how it feels to lose both parents, to lose people you care about, to lose your home…" Demogoblin said getting wide eyes from Nagato who wondered how the demon knew of his past.
As for Jiraiya, this sounded very familiar.
Having read his thoughts, Demogoblin decides it time he revealed himself.
"Your wondering how I know about your past" Demogoblin asks getting a nod from Nagato.
Demogoblin looks down for a second and sighs as he can't believe what he's about to do.
He actually planned to kill Nagato but maybe he could save him this time and have him as an ally. After all, he did say he wanted to change things. Besides, he had already planned to reveal himself to Jiraiya and now was the perfect time.
Making up his mind, he is then engulfed in hellfire having them cover their eyes until the flames died down. Once they felt it safe to open their eyes again, they open their eyes and look at the hooded demon only to realize he no longer looked like a demon but a human.
The hooded individual then pulls his hood down revealing a man with long semi spiky blonde hair and blue eyes who had three faded whisker marks on each cheek.
"Lets just say we've met before, long ago"
