Chapter 13

Meanwhile…

"You again?! Why are you back?"

D'angelo's apprentice, Bo had come to the recording studio with a friend of his. This was the third time they have come and for the third time they have been hassled.

"Listen, I changed up my song and I got some backup now, let me have one more chance!" pleaded Bo's friend. He's a rapper that goes by Hyro. His friend happened to be African American, and the reason why they keep getting back into the studio is simply because.

"It's because I'm black isn't it?" Hyro would say. Instantly they gave in, Siren studios hates bad press, and if people are around and hear such a thing, well… it won't look good.

The guard at the gate sighed. "Fine, this is the last time I am letting you in!"

Bo smiled, he didn't come alone of course, D'angelo came with him and another who hid their face from the public.

When they got in, Bo turned. "So what now?" he asked.

D'angelo smiled. "We get to a studio, and we get them to dance." He said with a pleasant grin.

They were brought into a recording studio. Hyro set up, Bo got the music ready and was preparing, when D'angelo assisted him with the soundboard. From the corner of his eye, Bo saw D'angelo reach for something, an intercom and was ready to ensure that the song was heard throughout the whole building.

"Will this work?" Bo asked in a whispered tone.

D'angelo merely smiled to him. "If it doesn't, I'll eat my camera." He decreed.

In other words, this cannot not work!

With a nod, Bo gave the signal.

Hyro began to rap, and yet, as the music picked up the tempo, he began to notice something.

Those in the recording studio were looking at their phones, and before long, their gaze shifted from their phones to Hyro. They appeared stunned and it was only getting more bizarre to them as they found Hyro's back up to be not other than Ryomen Sukuna, rockstar!

In the office of the CEO of Siren Studios.

"This brat again? Why doesn't he give up?"

The CEO, known divine user throughout the legion, Zegran was a force to be reckoned with! He has built his empire using his familiars, sirens. He always used sirens for they are the easiest to control. When they are out of water, they are as good as slaves in his mind.

Even more so when one manages to get a Siren Queen.

His legions span to nearly a thousand, for sirens follow their queen. He would have a colony if he can get a Siren King, but they are far too rare to be seen let alone caught!

He makes due, and right now, he is trying to figure out this young rapper who is determined to get a contract with him. "He doesn't understand how I do things, if the sirens don't dance to his music, it means he has little divine power. I have no use for those with little power. They are lucky to make some sirens on the first floor dance…" he muttered.

Yet, as he began to contemplate as to how to get rid of this determined young man, his phone began to explode.

"SIR WE HAVE A SITUATION!"

They were panicked. "What's going on?!" he demanded

"Sir… look a the security videos…"

He sighed and turned on the many TVs before him.

Zegran froze.

Never… never in his company's history has this ever happened before.

He then turned on the PA system, that was when the music blasted through the speakers. As heavy as it was… this song, made every siren on every floor dance… that is…

He peered over to his bodyguard.

A thin woman, dressed in a suit that stood at attention. Her eyes covered by sunglasses, her face emotionless. However, there was no reaction out of her. "Too bad, for a moment, I thought I may have found a siren king… but who is that other voice with his?"

Zegran decided to see for himself.

The song ended.

Bo was stunned silent, D'angelo on the other hand was grinning like a cat that ate the canary. He turned to him and nudged his arm. "Three… two… one…" and D'angelo pointed to the door.

It was nearly knocked off its hinges!

"Who made that song!"

CEO Zegran had come down from his office, he wants to be the first one to introduce himself to the singer that made the sirens dance.

Hyro stepped out of the record booth with 'Ryomen Sukuna', but Bo knows him as Suiryu.

However the pleasant mood was instantly ruined when Zegran saw Suiryu. "Why is THAT here?" he demanded aloud. "He's not under contract and never will be! WHY IS HE HERE?!"

Suiryu however kept cool. "I was just asked to assist in a song, it needed a little more… oof, if you know what I mean?" he said and smirked rather wickedly. "Besides, it was just a favor for a friend, right Hyro?"

"It's a total solid, and I owe you one!" The two exchanged a 'bro hug' before Suiryu decided he had to leave. "Take care man!"

"I do believe that is my sign to leave as well…"

D'angelo stood, and yet as he did so, Zegran froze. "D'angelo… you're… you're here?!"

He sighed. "Hi Zegran, long time no see… apparently not long enough for me."

"Why are you here?!"

"Uh… hello… Ryomen Sukuna's manager!" he protested.

That startled him. "You're the manager of THAT?!" he demanded and pointed to Suiryu who lingered outside the door.

"I have a name jackass!" he snapped back.

However, Zegran completely ignored Suiryu.

"D'angelo… why not come work for me? I know you have many skills that are going to waste where you are…"

He sighed aloud. Zegran was a young looking man, early forties if one were to assume. He had brown hair that was showing grey and yet he still appeared rather fit, strong build and a muscly appearance. Yet like all divine users, that because he is using his power to appear this way, the power of youth as they liked to call it.

D'angelo glared at him. "We have different methods of doing business, and quite frankly, I don't like yours." He said bluntly. "So that being said, I am going to excuse myself now. After all, you don't want someone like Ryomen Sukuna being associated with your studio now, do you?"

Bo watched as Zegran bit his lip.

Despite not liking Suiryu, he has heard through the others in the studio that he has been trying to think of ways to pilfer Suiryu from his current contract and bring him over. Since after all, he has the 'golden touch' as Zegran stated. Everything Suiryu does… succeeds.

Bo knows why too, after all. His memories were not altered after the tribute party.

"If that's all you have to say, I'll take my leave now." D'angelo stated. He walked pass Zegran, and never looked back. Despite the fact that Zegran himself nearly reached out and tried to utter something to convince him to stay.

It now left Bo, Hyro and those from Siren Studios who witnessed everything. Hyro smiled as he stood there with his arms crossed. "So… NOW what I am I to you?" he asked as his grin grew.

Bo smiled, he was thinking to himself 'we're in… now how to we get everyone out?'
