Chapter 15

"HUH!?"

Rook just stepped outside of the school ground. Class was done for the day and yet, he found a small legion outside awaiting him. "What's this?" he asked as he glared at this odd group of teens.

They were licking their lips and eyeing him oddly. "Rumor has it you beat up your school!" one kid called. "We came to see how strong you really are!"

Rook sighed, but he turned to his brother. Shin was rolled his head to it all. "Oh God, you're going to be like Oji aren't you?"

"I never asked for this, I just wanted to make sure Kiyoshi and Mochi are left alone and everyone can learn in peace… apparently peace isn't an option…" Rook sighed.

He stepped forward, looking about there was at least ten groups of twenty teens. "Where do you want to do this?" he asked bluntly.

Apparently, there was an abandoned store down the street and around the corner. These guys do their fighting there since no one goes there and no one can hear the fight happening.

"You serious about this?!"

Rook peered over and saw the guys from his school, freezing in fear. "Dude, that's like ten schools…" suddenly his phone went off. Peering down, the wrestling captain saw the message. "More are on the way…" he said in a worried tone.

"Looks like I opened up this can of worms, could be worst, they are the ones opening up a can of wup ass!" Rook said discontent. "Okay, led the way!" he called.

"Let's make it interesting!" one called out. "We win, we get that pretty little thing there and have fun with her…" he said pointing to Mochi.

"Just for that, you get to go first!" Rook snapped back.

Shin and the others hung back and watched the devastation.

In fact, Kiyoshi did a snack run and they have since been waiting for Rook to finish up. It's been nearly an hour and more schools kept coming to the location of the abandoned store. Rook was just starting to glisten from all the fighting, but wasn't out of breath or anything. However…

"Dude, we got to clear some of these unconscious teens out of here…" Shin said offhandedly. It looked like a battlefield.

"I kept them organized by school! Each school has its own pile…" he said in a sarcastic tone.

"I think you are missing the point…" muttered Shin, but shrugged his shoulders to it all. All in all, Rook had taken out the top guys from 14 different schools, and apparently, more are coming to test him out.

"This does look like fun, but we would end up killing a lot of humans…" Hoshi said with a sigh.

Rook on the other hand didn't mind waiting, Shin texted Suguru that they were going to be late, and yet somehow, Suguru knew why.

'Who pissed off your brother this time?' was the reply after explaining their tardiness.

Shin smirked as he texted back. 'Apparently, other school know of him and have come to test the waters as it were. One made the mistake of wanting to… have fun with Mochi if they beat him… that kid no longer has teeth.'

"…."

Shin waiting a moment for the reply. But he already knew what was going to be said. Suguru wrote back and stated. 'He had that coming'

"This is why Pops is awesome…" Shin snickered.

'Well if you are going to be late, we will have a late dinner then, any requests?'

"Bro, what do you want for dinner when we get home?" Shin called.

Rook took a moment. "Carbs, meat!" he decreed.

As Shin replied, a fresh batch of victims arrived. However they were already second guessing themselves after seeing the piles of unconscious students skewed across the parking lot. "Ah, for a moment I thought you guys were done. Can we hurry this up, I want to be home in time for dinner!" Rook called.

They looked like all the others, the biggest, strongest looking teens from other schools have come to show off their strength, yet the moment they saw the carnage, second guesses were starting to appear on their faces.

"You wanna fight? I got a space reserved over there for you boys if you want to throw down?"

"Uh… actually… we are here to say we acknowledge you…"

Rook paused. Shin did too.

"Oh? That's different…" he said offhandedly. "And what does that entail?"

It didn't mean much, it was their way of saying 'we didn't realize how strong you were and are reconsidering our options'.

"Uh… well… we won't mess with your school!"

"And?" he asked in a board tone. "What else?"

They shrugged, that was it, they won't mess with their school.

Shin sighed and waved them off. "So be it then, you can leave…" he turned his back, that was when someone went for a cheap shot!

Shin however already knew the outcome of that. He has sparred with his little brother before, striking him… is like striking iron.

He could hear that punk's hand break from where he stood.

Rook merely turned his head enough to glare at them. He has never seen students run out of there that fast before!

"I'm board" Rook called. "I doubt they are coming back…"

"Yeah," everyone said with a sigh. "Let's go home or my dad is going to think I had something to do with this…" Kiyoshi said.

They got home and had a quite dinner.

It was strange that Suguru never lectured Rook on his actions, however he did ask about their day and wondered what caused such an event. Rook explained that it must have been what happened at their school. "Shin's right, this feels a lot like Oji. Those who have power seek others with power to test their strength… Balls man…" he said with a sigh.

"Since when did you start saying balls?" Suguru asked.

"Just recently, teen lingo, got to keep up appearances," he said in a very car salesman like tone.

He snickered at the notion. "You are more like your father than you realize, at the same time, you are starting to act quite a bit like your uncle…" Suguru warned.

"You really are…" muttered Mochi. "But that's not necessary a bad thing…"

Shin sighed as he peered to his sister, despite the extra protection she still didn't seem happy to him.

Suguru picked up on that too. "Mochi, I think you may benefit from a girls weekend out." He explained. "I spoke with my friend Dr. Shoko, she wants to take you out to get new clothing and do things. Maki sensei and Nobara will come along too, same with the Fushiguro sisters…" he explained.

Mochi froze.

"What? But I'm not like them!" she protested.

This, made the table pause. Suguru peered to her curiously. "What's wrong, Mochi? I know you are deeply troubled, but at the same time. I am not your parent. I don't have the right to ask this of you…"

"I JUST WANT TO BE A KID AGAIN!" she shouted. Tears began to stream down her face as she stared to Suguru. "I don't want to be like this… I want to be a child! I want to have fun still, I want… I didn't… I don't want to be a teenager…"

She couldn't handle it anymore and rushed off to her room. The door slammed, and yet, no one was surprised.

"Do we go… talk to her?" asked Rook. "Because I have NO idea what to say."

"Neither do I," Suguru said gently.
