Firefly Timeline :
This story takes elements from a few other fan fictions I enjoy. While my story isn't a direct sequel, of any of the following stories, but rather an AU to them. Taking a good deal of inspiration from them. The main events, of these fics, happened in my Timeline, but the details are different.
Post Unification War .
• 6 Galactic Standard Years, after the Unification War, Federation technology is more common, but not yet wide spread.
The events of my Subplot " Finding Serenity " takes place. Which focus on Riddick and Jack Badd ( From the movie Pitch Black ), joining the crew of Serenity ( From the 1999 television series "Firefly" ).
With the Parliament having devolved into religious extremist.
" Lost in The Woods " by " Ardwolf ".
• This takes place 3 months, after the series finale for "Star Trek: The Next Generation", and during the "Firefly" sequel movie "Serenity".
• Picard, having been Rejuved several times now, is still alive after the humanoids of the Federation, were absorbed into the Empire. Soon being approached by the Emperor of Mankind. Who request an investigate into "The Verse System". A large Mega system, made up of several star systems orbiting a colossus sized star.
Picard is hesitant... but with the dismantling of the Federation's fleet... he has been kinda wondering aimless, allowed to keep his ship... but acting as a mere shipping freighter. So Picard hesitantly accepts the job.
• During Picard's investigation, he tracks River to Haven Outpost, as one of the ship "Serenity's" ports. And ends up saving Book... though fails to get their in time, to save the Colony.
Picard request to speak with Mal. Promising to treat River, in exchange for learning what the Parliament did to her. With Mal reluctantly agreeing, though not buying the Emperor doesn't know about The Academy or The Reavers.
Picard finds the planet "Miranda", and learns it is the Reavers home base. Mal insist Picard "Kill them All"
• Picard continues his investigation, and discovers the Reavers have a rare gene, that causes their body to mutate, when exposed to the Drug the Alliance used. It's only 1 in 10,000. So the Alliances didn't see the reaction in their own field test.
The Reavers are apparently incapable of reproducing, and will only live for 20 more years, in addition to their savagery, they are a parasitical race. Which will inevitably wipe out the "host", meaning all life in the Galaxy.
• The Reavers, during Picard's investigations, send thousands of ships after Picard, but his own Ship, the Enterprise, is easily able to out run them. However this causes the fleet of Reavers, to turn their eyes on a large shipping world.
• After much moral struggling, Picard destroys the Reaver fleet, leaving only the handful of ships that didn't follow the Enterprise.
• The Reavers are still a threat, but no longer have the numbers to risk the Star Clusters destruction.
• The Crew of Serenity, finds evidence of What created the Reavers, board-casting it to all planets in the Star Cluster.
• Picard reports his findings to the Emperor... whom promptly has the entire Parliament executed. Appointing a new one in its place. With him taking a more active role, in overseeing it.
" The Man With No Name " by " Frostfyre7 ".
• The 10th Doctor, after the Time War, so after he's been spilt into 13 bodies, and selected to destroy Gallifrey, goes to the Styx Leyline, into the Firefly/Riddick pocket dimension. Where He winds up boarding Serenity, as a passenger, and begins a whole new adventure... in domestic living.
• The Crew of Serenity, is given a job to steal an alien, While the Doctor wants to save this Alien. The Doctor ends up on their ship.
• While refuelling, the crew is forced to hunt Reavers in the woods of the planet they parked on. With the Doctor realizing the Reavers are being controlled.
• The Doctor realizes the alien, Mal is after, is responsible for the Reaver's being controlled, so goes with Mal to confront the Alien.
• Mal is killed during the raid, and the alien sacrifices his own life to resurrect the Captain.
• The Doctor gives Mal a children's toy, that looks like an alien, that is programmed to move and talk. So Mal can still sell it to his client. Who doesn't realize it's just a Virtual Intelligence, children's toy. Not even a true AI.
• The crew now knows the Doctor is an alien, and accept him. While the Doctor breaks his own rule, and decides to stay on their boat, becoming a proper member of Mal's crew.
" Browncoat, Green Eyes " by " nonjon ".
• The Tenza, Harry Potter, runs into the crew of Serenity, and decides to stay with them, when he realizes the Doctor is with them.
• They go on an adventure. Realizing the gene, that mutates the Reavers, is actually a magical gene, and can be treated with a magical cure.
• Harry wipes the minds, of the last remaining Reavers, and cures their madness, and limited age.
• Harry joins the crew of Serenity.
• The crew eventually discover Harry is actually the Empire, who just wants an ordinary life.
" A Captain And A Madman " by " RazielLordOfSquirrels ".
• The 11th Doctor, before the Time War, Goes to the Trek Verse (The pocket dimension Picard was from, and is still currently there). There The Main universe Doctor learns what created the Cosmos. That Q is a version of himself, that Stopped trying, and allowed the cosmos to be destroyed, then rewritten. The Doctor flees back to his universe. Determined to never stop trying.
" Taking Care of Your Own " by " Ashleyder1 ".
• Mal accepts a job to treat the leader of a human trafficking ring. He brings Simon on the job, and tells the slavers the young Doctor is his brother.
• Simon is given the tasks of treating the slaves, to prove he is as good a Doctor as he claims. After which, Simon starts yelling at the ring leader, for the slaves being in such poor health. The Leader just laughs it off, and Mal is able to calm Simon down, by reminding him of all the men with guns around them.
• Simon treats the leader, while cursing him.
• When Simon and Mal are leaving, The leader offers a job for Mal to smuggle something for him, assuring the Captain it's not people. Mal accepts, but before they leave, The leader advises Mal to "Take his little brother in hand before his idealism offends the wrong person". Which Mal teases Simon about. After explaining the Man meant giving Simon a spanking.
• After Serenity departs, and Mal confirms the smuggling job has nothing to do with people, they discover an escaped slave has stowed away on their ship. A girl a little younger then Jack, named "Hilda", (the origin story of the character from "Outlaw Star"). Mal, not wanting to alienate the Leader, but also not wanting to condemn the kid to slavery, pays for the child. Then gives her a job as an apprentice onboard his ship. Including the same salary as the other apprentices.
• After some typical Firefly "Job gone wrong", Mal ends up giving Simon his first spanking, for running off the ship and into a trap. Mal gives Simon a heartfelt speech, and acknowledges that he really does see Simon as an annoying little brother, and that the punishment was done in that spirit. As Mal Spanked the young Doctor, as he would have his own brother for doing something similar. Simon isn't happy about the treatment, but does accept it, and even calls Mal his "big brother".

• A quarantined planet, tricks Mal to come to their world, in order to get Simon to treat the plague. Mal refuses, and leaves the planet, but Simon snuck off the Ship, and goes to work with the Doctors on a cure. River fakes seeing the Alliance in a vision, and the crew has to leave Simon behind. Hiding on a moon of the world, as they wait for the Alliance to depart.
• Mal discovers River lied, and gives her a spanking, to which she allows because she knows Mal doesn't enjoy the idea of having to do it.
• The ship goes back to the planet, and pick up Simon, who managed to cure the plague... and Simon receives his second spanking.
• Simon is mad when he learns Mal also spanked River, but River explains he can't have it both ways. If Simon likes Mal thinking of him as Family, and left River in his care, then he can't complain when Mal decides to correct her own misbehavior. Given Mal was right, if River gets in the habit of lying about her visions, then Mal can't trust any of them. Simon really doesn't like it, but concedes if he views Mal as family, that comes with some downsides.
" Forward " by " Peptuck ".
A Continuation of Firefly, where Wash and Book survived the events of Serenity.
The story follows the crew of Serenity as they continue on, and have to struggle with the enemies they've made and new ones that appear, while the Alliance struggles to remain in control.
The story is separated into episodic story arcs, to emulate the series' episodes.
• Episode 1: Unfinished Business.
Another "milk run" goes wrong, when Adelei Niska storms the scene, and manages to capture River and Jayne. They are tortured, while Niska tries to collect River's bounty... only for the Alliance to storm his ship.
Meanwhile Mal also finds the ship... by torturing one of Niska's own men for the info. Then killing him Once he got it.
Once all three sides are together, River and Jayne are saved, while the "Hands of Blue" are killed by River, Mal, and Riddick. Unfortunately Niska gets away again.
• Episode 2: Condor.
• The Crew goes to Persephone, with another job offer from Badger. While waiting for the delivery of things, they are supposed to smuggle, the crew enjoys the downtime.
• Simon and Kaylee go out for a drink, while Jayne looks for some "willing trim"... and ends up sleeping with one of Kaylee's sisters, an Alliance soldier.
• Meanwhile, Mal and Zoey go to a meeting with their old Brown Coats colonel.
• At the same time, Book goes to a meeting with an old friend of his, whom Book asked to find information on River.
• The Brown Coats reveal they want River, and gets into a shoot out after Mal refuses.
• Alliance Assassins are tracking Book's contact. They kill Books friend, and start shooting into the crowd, after book.
• The crew manage to escape the planet... but not without pissing off the Alliance, The Brown Coats, and Badger (whom couldn't deliver his goods with all the shooting).

• Episode 4: Adrift.
• First Interlude.
• Episode 5: Silver.
• Second Interlude.
• Third Interlude.
• Episode 6: Charity.

• Fourth Interlude.
• Episode 8: Last Man.

Universe's Bank.
In my universe, Mal has progressed to the point he was paying his crew a Salary, instead of per job. Which he funds through interest he's getting on an Underworld savings account, which the Empire can't track, and run by an AI copy of Mister Universe's consciousness.
This means Mal doesn't actually have access to his millions, but gets enough in interest to pay everyone a monthly pay Check, including himself.
Most of the money, from jobs, goes into this account, where it slightly increases everyone's overall salary.
Over the past 300 years, some of the crew left the ship, to get their own. Although they always maintained contact.
Crew that left: Hilda, The Doctor, Jack Badd, and Riddick.
Below is how much Mal sends his crew, even after they moved away.
Salaries ,
( out of 14 million in the bank )
• $10,000 for Public Relations = Jayne, Zoey, Riddick, The Doctor,
• $7,000 for Non Combatants = Simon, Wash, Book (Now the official Councilor), Inara (Now the Official Spokesperson)
• $3,000 in a Underworld Savings Account, and $2000 for spending for Apprentices = River, Jack, Hilda (talked about later in this Author's Note).
• $62,000 a month for The Captain = Mal
