Shadow Part 1 - 6.5/10
Before I continue? I should mention that Piggy is a rancid, terrible character.
Every time I see Piggy on screen I wanted to pluck my eyes out.
What this episode was about Cruger imagining his greatest fears becoming reality. Fear Factor style.
Well okay maybe not. Cruger is having nightmares once again with how he can't get over the fact that his home planet was destroyed and his wife Isinia is presumably dead.
Crugers vows to NEVER FIGHT AGAIN because he says so.
I most say I didn't really care too much for Cruger. He makes excuses and puts himself in self-doubt for a majority of the season and it leads to him not making wise decisions when he's leading the Power Rangers in a battle. Cruger makes one wise decision, but one horrible one the next.
At least I didn't want to cut off Cruger's air supply like I wanted to asphyxiate Piggy but moving on now.
As the episode follows. The city is in turmoil.
Random spikes popping up around the city is not good under any circumstance. Remember kiddies!
Cruger oaths himself not to fight. Dr. Kat Manx pulls off a sexy back flip before she is kidnapped and taken away from Benaag with a bomb strapped to her waist. As evidenced by Shadow Part II.
Now I know there's other people to discuss about here in this season of SPD like Broodwing but since nobody is freakin' reading this? It's not worth my time to talk about.
In all? A good episode. I liked it better than Shadow Part II because of some pacing issues Part II had as it dragged out for like an eternity and how THE CHEESE FACTOR came to play with Dr. Kat Manx being rescued with ONE SECOND left on the bomb.
