This story was commissioned by the generous PatrickB95 after the two of us came up with the idea. Unlike many of my other stories, there's no CYOA involved and the style of this story will be a little different than what I generally write.

Five SG teams two rebel jaffa and one tok'ra rescue two villages from a goa'uld who got them all on his ship, only to escape in two tel'cak. Only to be shot down on close to a planet which is known to the goa'uld and jaffa the 'for bidden plant'.

SGC is in turmoil as Gen. Jack O'Neill & Lt. Col. Samantha Carter's heated argument leads her to the brig, escorted by two airmen. She's adamant about resigning & leaving, causing confusion. Medical tests find no alien influence. Sam's perplexing behavior deepens the mystery, raising concerns about her well-being.

AU: When an exploration mission goes way off the left field, Jack and Sam are left to patch up their lives. Will that door stay open?
