Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Halo. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I do not own Halo and such, 343, and a few others do.
Space was an ocean… It was always an ocean. The ships which began to break through it were… Odd.
The young Sangheili looked through the viewport, shifting it away… Far too young to be a shipmaster, he heard… Far too young.
And he was all too easily thought of now when it was said and done… Something about it all came crashing down to it. They had a lot harder to deal with, something about it ALL bothered him.
He and another ship, one of the Sword's few assault carriers besides the Shadow of Intent were headed to meet with the famed warship.
Granted? He also noticed the outline of a CCS-Class cruiser which was joining… Either ship was the pride of Arbiter's fleet and he was proud to serve it now… But he had little to no idea as to how he would have served it.
He had been thrown off by the change of plans but he was clearly in over his head… But Arbiter was not swayed.
And so, he had his people behind him, the covenant had been shattered, their lies had been exposed and those who served them had been forced to admit or die.
He had been able to think of it differently. He seemed to think of what was growing for now as he clicked his fingers.
The silence was deafening to him, and so was the wait to get orders. They had a lot more to deal with for now and for good… All of it became harder and harder at the end of it…
They had been ordered to stand guard for his order and he thought of what the Swords were up to… They had plenty of work to deal with it now.
She seemed to be thinking of it all when it came down to it as of now before it was all said and done… He had been here for a reason… They all were and it was due to that he had zero problems with trying to handle this issue properly.
Arbiter had shown them the path and it was that path they would keep at to even now.
The Shipmaster seemed to think of it, closing his eyes… The Harbinger of Vigilance was the only ship he held ownership over… So, he needed to deal with it to the end.
He crossed his arms as his warship seemed to be adjusted as he looked to another of the crew.
"Shipmaster? The Arbiter approaches." He heard as he nodded, looking to the side as he clicked his fingers.
The few seconds of silence were deafening as he hummed to himself… All of which were sent to the second on the dot.
He nodded, tapping on his armor, he shook in place, pondering what was growing on his mind as he leaned back in his command chair. The soldier wanted to get off to base and he wanted to relax, something about it all bothered him.
He decided it was better to get some air so he stepped off his command chair, stepping past the rest of his men and waving them off when they came to comfort him.
He was young, born in 2536… Years younger than most of the officers in the swords…. They had better things to do than just this and it was so clear to him that THIS was going to be pushing him further and further.
The Sangheili only seemed to care when he realized the Arbiter would be leading this mission personally. Why? Because it meant a chance to try and help… They would ALL be helping… The only real situation was how it would have helped.
He of all Sangheili knew that this move would be MUCH harder to deal with than it should have been like this… It SHOULD have been different.
But perhaps it would be, that they had a mission to stop the Created and as a servant of the Arbiter? It was clear such a thing would be much harder said than done… Not that they would not be able to think of it.
He sighed and then rubbed at his temples… He thought of it best and thought of it all.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out next chapter will be delayed and will show more of both the shipmaster and Arbiter and set up Tul meeting them. I also want to thank the site for adding a few characters I wanted to see added. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
