I hate it how, the average wrestling fan likes to pretend the Divas era was a complete waste of time and a sour note to women's wrestling.
To me? It wasn't.

This one is self-explanatory.
Probably one of the most thoughtless and out of the blue title reigns ever in WWE history.
Jillian and Mickie James have a match together on Raw. Jillian pins Mickie after a powerbomb and using dirty tactics with pinning James with using the ropes for leverage.
The celebration is cut short.
Kathy O' Neil or whatever her name is comes out and announces that Jillian must put her title on the line against Melina. Who was randomly drafted to Raw from Smackdown.
Okay then. Melina botches the Sunset Split and after that move was delivered horrifically? Melina pins Jillian in a powerbomb move (that I don't think Melina ever named) and pins Jillian just like that.
Jillian held the title for 4 minutes and 31 seconds.
I'm serious. I timed it.
I hated this title reign for basically how Mickie James would have her career go in a downward spiral after this match. Mickie was drafted to Smackdown as Melina was drafted to Raw.
And you know what happened to Mickie James from there right?
The dreaded Piggie James storyline.
I hated that storyline but I'll talk about that for another write-up.
Jillian's reign...I'm sorry was wretched.
And to be make matters worse?
For all of the four minutes Jillian Hall held the championship?
Jillian proceeds to sing Lady GaGa's song Paparazzi before Kathy interrupted her.
Jillian had some the crappiest storylines a Diva could ever have. Next to Lita.
Anyone remember that Kane/Snitsky/Lita love triangle back in 2004? I wish to forget about that.
Moving on now. Sorry Jillian but you had one horrific reign. Not to mention it being your ONLY championship title reign you had while you worked for the WWE for 6 years speaks for itself.

Yes. That's right. The greatest Divas Champion in the entire history of the belt is AJ Lee. Our current Divas Champion.
I'll explain my reasons for why this is #1 and I have tons of love and appreciation for what AJ has done with the title.
I remember WWE posted a video one time where AJ met Lita in person back in 2001 and who would of thought 12 years later AJ would be living her dream as a WWE Superstar? Let alone be the ring leader of the women's division at the moment.
When AJ Lee won the title? It such an endearing moment for her she got a tattoo on the date she won the championship on her neck.
AJ Lee wins the title from Kaitlyn in June 2013 at Payback with making Kaitlyn tap out to the Black Widow. A new submission move AJ started to use.
I wonder where she got that move from.

Anyways. That's just one thing. AJ Lee delivers one unforgettable promo that CM Punk labeled as a Pipe Bombshell where AJ buries every single Diva that apart of that Total Divas program and how she worked her entire life to be where she is right now.

OMG you guys. I just watched last night's episode of Total Divas. And it was insane oh my gosh. I mean the Bellas we're dealing with they're obvious daddy issues. The Funkdactyls broke up and then got back together again. Natalya's fiancé isn't much of a man. And the other two were also there. (Jojo and Eva Marie)
It was great. It really was. And it was the end of the world and it's only Sunday nights on the E Network.

Do you wanna know what I see when I look in that ring? Honestly?
A bunch of cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women. Women who have turned to reality television 'cuz they just weren't gifted enough to be actresses. And they just weren't talented enough to be champion.
I have saved your Divas division. I have shattered glass ceilings. I have broken down doors. Why? So a bunch of ungrateful, stiff, plastic Mahicans can waltz on through without even getting as much of a Thank You?
You guys can't even go backstage and shake my hand and look at me in the eye because you know, that I worked my entire life to get here. I GAVE MY LIFE TO THIS and you were just handed 15 minutes of fame.
I didn't get here because I was cute. Or because I came from a famous wrestling family. Or I sucked up to the right people.
I got here because I am good. I earned this Championship and no matter how many red carpets you guys wanna walk in your $4,000 ridiculous heels? You will never be able to lace up my Chuck Taylors.
You're all worthless excuses for women and you will never be able to touch me.
And that is reality.

She's magic in a sense to everything she does in the WWE and has since her debut in NXT in 2010. You keep it up girl.
