It was in the middle of the winter when freshly polished shoes stop right in front of me and my little sister.
We were outside an old shack, we call a house. The woman inside was busy pleasing her customer while her two children wait outside with just sacks as a make shift blanket to shield us from the cold.
Even if it's too cold I gave my hoodie to my sister and covered her with my body just to keep her warm. As her brother, I know what to do to keep her safe, all the things that run through my mind is her, keeping her safe and sound and live a comfortable life. From the moment she was born I held her in my scrawny arms despite the bloody mess of it all.
Daki, in this awful dark world, you are my light. And I swore that I will do everything to keep you safe.

"What are you two kids doing out here in this freezing cold night?"

In the middle of the night during winter. Gyutaro and Daki wait outside a rundown shack with nothing but sack clothes as their blanket. As they wait for the "customer" to leave. a man with rainbow coloured eyes stop right Infront of them and offered them to come with him.
Ones you make a choice you can never go back.
Without knowing what's ahead for them Gyutaro took the offered hand as an opportunity to leave the life he knew wouldn't benefit Daki/Ume.
