Little Fern, Astrid's baby brother watched them in shock beat up Hiccup.
They leave Hiccup there in sadness.
Hiccup runs to the forest to hide in the woods.
As he sat in the cove, a Night Fury saw him in the cove.
Hiccup spent two weeks bonding with it.
He fed it fish and named him Toothless.
Little Fern wouldn't talk to his big sister anymore.
Ingrid ask "Fern, why don't you talk to your big sister anymore?"
Fern answers "she and her friends beat up Hiccup for no reason. I don't like to hang with her anymore. She's mean to everyone."
Ingrid ask "I'll have a talk with her."
Fern left to go play outside.
Hiccup was in the forge working on a sword when Astrid came by to get her ax sharpened.
Ingrid walked upto Astrid and ask "have you seen your brother?"
Fishlegs comments "he's over by the cliff."
Ingrid turned to the cliff and yelled "Fern!"
A strong wind blew Fern over the cliff.
Hiccup grabbed rope and made a lasso on one end and tied the end around his waist and threw the lasso around the stump and jumped off the cliff.
As he fell down, he grabbed Fern and hit the water hard.
The villagers pulled them up on the cliff.
Once they brought them up, Stoick carried Hiccup to Gothi's hut.
Ingrid hug her son.
Astrid ask "why did you save my brother, Hiccup?"
Once Gothi check him over, Hiccup told her "I want to give the position of heir to Astrid Hofferson."
Gothi sighs and nods her head.
Hiccup gets up and leaves the hut leaving to the forest.
Unknown that Astrid followed him through the forest.
Hiccup met up with Toothless.
Astrid watch in shock as Hiccup climbed on to the Night Fury and flew away.
She leaves heading back to the village.
Gothic gave Stoick the message who gaped in shock "my son wants to give position of heir to Astrid Hofferson?! Why?"
Gothic handed him a paper to read
Dad, I'm sorry that I'm not the son you wanted. I needed to leave because I'm not worth anything here. I give the position of heir to Astrid Hofferson because Snotlout will only lead to war.
