Hello everyone. Sorry for the delay of not updating the story here. Hope you guys like chapter 5 of CIGAR. Again, I have this story updated first on AO3. Same name and everything.
Also, do remembered to read the first chapter on which games are invovled in this crossover. As it is more than just Dark Souls if anyone forgot about that tidbit.
Seven months since arriving, Lescatie
"Mhmm, what to pick?" Fernando said as he looked at the board for any quest to his liking. Mainly since they've been taken.
It seems that the foreigner annoyed the knight academy so much and decided to reserved them. No more escaping to those in squires like Elt.
Fernando decided to wonder what to do next. His favorite quests were taken and he had no reason to continue for today. He was about to leave for the day when he heard some adventurers, about four of them, were having an argument of some kind. He decided to go towards them and asked what's happening.
"Hello there," he said to them, causing them to turn to him. "Sorry if I'm butting in, but is something the matter?"
"Tsk, don't bother, Mundane Knight," one of them said arrogantly. "This might be too much for you. Why not stick with your regular work rather than taking these quests for real adults."
"Yea, and weren't you the one who was happy that I took those mundane quests, porcelain," Fernando countered with a playful tone. Mainly since he is one of the few who thank him for that.
This made the arrogant one to face fault before growling at him.
"Why you!"
"Calm down, James," said the calmer of the four, a man in leather armor. "Sorry about that, Fernando, but we're discussing a quest we were going to be taking." He sighed in disappointment. "However, we're short one member and the quest won't be accepted if we are short of the minimum party."
"What would the quest be about, if you don't mind me asking," the foreign knight asked him, which surprised everyone.
"Well if you're curious, it's a simple request. Guarding a caravan to a village in the outskirts of Lescatie near the Order's border," he explained before sighing. "However, the damn monsters managed to sneak past and began harassing caravans. Though there is a good chance we won't encounter them." Sighing again, he was scratching his forehead. "However, I don't think you may like this since you are use to-"
"I can help," Fernando offered, interrupting them.
Everything came to a screeching halt. Mainly on what they just hard.
Did Fernando just offered to join in a Mamono related quest? That is unbelievable to believe! Doesn't he knew about them? Would he even be safe!?
"Um, are you sure, Fernando?" the leader asked him. "This might be too dangerous for you?"
"It shouldn't be too hard, Gregory," the foreigner in his Elite Knight armor replied him. "Besides, we might get lucky and see no monster at all."
"Are you sure? This could be dangerous."
"I got nothing better to do. So I say we should," Fernando admittedly said. "Plus, you say it's a possibility would encounter them. So I say it's worth a shot."
"..."
"..."
"Alright, fine," Gregory sighed as he held his head in shame. "You can come, mundane." Fernando chuckled with a grin underneath his visor.
The now five members went to the front desk and ask for the quest. The front desk employee got the papers ready and gave them the approval. This made the five party members happy as they got ready, as this may take them a day to go and come back. They each gave their thanks as Fernando waved them goodbye and went with his party.
Though some in the guild felt nervous since these types of quests tend to have monster encounters.
So, they pray that he survives this with those four new recruits.
"Welp, we gotta tell Sasha about this," the front desk employee said out loud.
"Absolutely," her co-worker agreed.
- The next day -
The gang were walking with the carriage as they now finished. It was a simple request of guarding the carriage for a delivery and coming back. The trip was nice and cozy as they weren't ambushed by any Mamono. Looks like Fernando was right as they might get lucky. They offer one to be inside, which the foreign knight got stuck in duty to keep it safe. Though seeing that nothing bad happened, it seem to be fine.
Now they finished delivery and were coming back. This time with some goods as well for the city state. Though like yesterday, he was stuck inside for his protection while still wearing his Flute set. While everyone else were walking by the carriage and being on guard.
Which he didn't mind at all. Fernando found this amusing since it was something he wouldn't have expected in his wildest dreams.
'Heck, something I expected from fantasy RPGs,' he thought with a smile as another thought came to him, causing him to frown. 'Better than… my other adventures…' The brunette shivered at the memories.
"Huh, Ostrava, why do you put me in this type of situation?" Fernando asked the knight with a fancy weapon. Who simply chuckled in embarrassment. "Seriously. You must have Biorr with you if you want to traverse, Ostrava. At least he can keep you safe."
"My bad, friend-"
Though thankfully the carriage stopped abruptly, causing him to get out of his flashback. Though he was concerned about why it stopped suddenly.
"What the hell?" he asked confusedly, though heard gasps outside.
"Oh no…" The outworlder heard the driver whisper in horror. "MONSTERS!"
"ORCS!"
This made him look out from the carriage as everyone got ready while being nervous. Fernando looks at the monsters, or Mamono to be exact. They look very tall and muscular while having very pink skin and clothes that barely cover their bodies. Though one thing he noticed were their pig-like features.
These are the Orc Mamono.
One member walks up in front of them with a big grin on her face. "Sisters! We found ourselves husbands for the taking!" This made the humans shiver in fear as the girls laughed seductively at them. One rushed in and grabbed his fellow comrade, scaring everyone.
Fernando felt frozen for a bit. While he was in the safety inside, he cannot let his friends get captured by the monster girls...
... though at the same time he doesn't want to kill them. He promised himself that the most. As much it would be easy to just kill them, he cannot cross that line again.
Sadly, that will not be the case for this one as he some one member getting too closed for comfort to one of the Orcs.
Realizing he has to be violent; Fernando curses his luck as he went over his Bottomless Box. He found what he was looking for and takes out his Auto Crossbow, the one ripped from Gael's corpse, and charges it up quickly with some explosive bolts.
"Yippee Ki-Yay, bitches," he whispers as he opens the curtains, surprising everyone. He quickly aims and fires a barrage of bolts into the ground before at the incoming humanoid monsters. They soon explode, causing them to be scared and retreat. With a few getting injured by the shrapnel. Which made him happy that they are retreating.
With that done, he turned and threw a couple of knives at the one holding his coworker, too distracted and about to kiss him. Though quickly stops as she screams at the shoulders having the sharp objects embedded. She turns to see him do a drop kick, sending her flying away.
"You alright?" Fernando asked, which the young man nodded fearfully. All while the Orc moaned in pain as she couldn't take out the blade.
"HEY! STOPID HUMAN!" He stopped as he saw the leader, the high orc, growling at him. "How dare you deny us husbands!"
"Heh, tell your girls to behave next time, bitch!" He shouted, shocking everyone as the orc leader clutched her club. "You're ain't taking anyone while I'm here! I suggest you leave now."
"Oh~" she grinned lustfully as she clapped her club. "I will enjoy breaking your will and make you my husband, little knight."
Rolling his eyes, he walks to her as he finds the intimidation pathetic.
He dealt with worse, after all.
Once he was close, she charges at him and holds back the blow with his sword. He's happy he uses the Lothric Sword for this. The two fought as she was surprised by his skills. The two continue to right as he was carefully not to let his bloodlust letting loose. Yet that made her be aroused from his strenght.
"Hihihihi, I can't wait to beat you down, tear your armor and ride you until you submit, husband~," the High Orc giggled and talking out loud that she will enjoying having the nastiest sex with him. This made all the humans very fearful at the death of snu-snu. While making her sisters happy at an inevitable victory.
Except for the man fighting the High Orc.
'Are they fucking serious?' Fernando thought with a sweat dropped. 'Oh well. Time to end this, I suppose.' He simply pushes her back as he takes a stance with his sword raised up. 'As much as I hate to admit it... gotta draw blood to get them to back off.' The knight took a deep breath as the Mamono rushed in, charging up her swing to her club.
"Kneel!"
"Predictable!"
SWISH!
SPLASH!
The Mamono leader screams in agony as what used to be her right arm was cut off from the swing. All that is left is a right stub now as her arm with her club lay on the ground. Everyone was shocked by what they saw, as she continued to scream in agony. The High Orc tried to use mana, but noticed it wasn't being healed. This made her look at him now with a different expression. All the lust and love turn to horror as the knight looks down on her.
"So, about making me your husband?" he chuckled darkly at her, going into a persona that he didn't have to but must for now. He pointed his sword to her. "If you want to live, get out of our path and out of my face."
"Yo-you won't win this the second time, bastard!" The high orc shouted as she tried to hold a defiant face. "Once I heal and have the blessing of the God of Fighting Ares, I will make you kneel before me." She said with a crazed look to stay strong.
Fernando looked at her like she grew a second head before shaking his own head. Like she cannot take a hint at all. Muttering a simple insult, he uses his auto crossbow again and reloads it with a fire bolt. Quickly, he fired it towards her severed arm as it quickly began to burn.
This action scared everyone as they gulped in horror at the emotionless action this Silver knight did. While the High Orc holding a horrified face on what she just saw.
'Impossible!' she thought in horror. 'No human man can be this brutal unless the damned Chief Goddess blessed them!'
"That's cute," Fernando said mockingly, making everyone look at him. "You think I will bend to your will like that? I doubt it, especially from what I saw," he explained as he looked at them, who all have fearful expressions. "Plus, I saw and dealt with worse monsters than you. So if you think having sex with me will do it." In a blink of an eye, the knight held his sword's tip at her neck. "Think again."
There was a moment of silence as it seemed he was about to kill her here and there.
"However," Fernando said as he stepped back yet still keep his sword at her. "If you value your life and have human common sense, get out of our way or I will kill you here on the spot. And trust me." The armored brunette looked at her eyes, which made her gulp as she saw his eyes behind his visor with a killer glint behind them. "Getting tortured and killed by the Order is the humane thing in this world compare to me. Is that understood?"
Everyone cannot help but shiver at that tone. Even those who worked with the Order.
There is no way that he is worse than the Order who do a lot of things against heretics, right?

…right?
The killing intent he was releasing says another wise.
"Cr-cr-crystal!" The High Orc said, getting the promise of death. She looked at her tribe with seriousness. "G-g-girls, retreat!"
Not taking any chances, the Orc leader ordered all of them to retreat, abandoning the idea of getting a husband for now. Everyone chose to agree as the explosive bolts did leave shrapnel that was taking too long to heal either. Realizing they are going empty handed but alive, they all left. Running into the forest for safety.
There was silence for a few minutes as everyone cheered out loud. Mainly since they survived an encounter with the Mamono.
"Holy shit! We survived!"
"Can't believe my virginity is intake."
"Man, I am glad you were here, Nando!"
"You are definitely getting a promotion!"
"C'mon, guys, it was nothing," Fernando told the rescued.
"Though should we tell the guild that they're alive?" asked one of the carriage drivers.
"Nah, I think we scared them off so bad, we can say we killed them," Gregory told him as to not to worry.
Before the end of the day, Fernando's rank would later be raised to Silver. The third highest rank in the lands.
Yet he cannot helped but feel guilty at the fact he drew blood once more. Upon arriving him, the man threw his helmet, the Elite Knight Armor, to the sofa in anger.
"Son of a bitch!" Fernando shouted. While he was happy he was in his home, all alone. It doesn't help him on what he did. "While I am happy I didn't kill anyone... why did it had to be like that again?"
It has been three weeks since he returned from his trip and Fernando
He is in a new world named Eos. A world inhabited by humans, dwarfs, elves, and monster girls. Or Mamono as they prefer to be called.
Fernando still stayed with them for a couple of months. Though he still helps around the house and even helps remodel a bit of it. Then he finally moved out for good and bought a house down the street from where Sasha lives. While the man was annoyed by the real estate agent, he just wanted a home that wouldn't be a nightmare to pay the taxes to the nobles.
As for his new house being a two-story house that he can call home. The knight fixed things up and remodeled the place with new furniture. Though he added some small things like a secret entrance in the sides and roof in case he locked himself out.
As for the world, Fernando found everything about this world to be light, weird and dark. Unlike his previous adventures, it seems humanity is still standing. However, they are run by a religious order that is zealot to any changes that would be helpful to them. And it seems this so-called Chief God wants to control humanity instead of helping them.
Guess some things never change.
Which reminds him, he was being looked at with suspicion by the Order due to being a foreigner. Go figures. Though in the five months he was here, he managed to reach Silver rank quite fast. Though he thought that is despite not taking any quests involving hunting Mamono. Unless they showed up in the quest he took or he is in dire need of money and takes quests. Though he usually scares them away while leaving them disfigured.
When asked why, the response was all the same. He said that he spilled blood that resulted in death so many times that he doesn't want to go back walking such a path again.
Though after moving into his new home, things did change. One thing that got him on edge is when he was given a book from Marilyn called the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. It was a strange book that he wondered why she gave it to him. He had heard of it but had a feeling he will have trouble getting it.
After reading it, he can see it being one heck of a read.
Which later angers him in the sheer audacity of these idiots. How can these dumbass declare this book as heresy! Mostly since the book, the Monster Girl Encyclopedia, was the secret to victory!
The sheer stupidity of these people.
He swears on his old adventures that they would kill for such advantage. As for the book, it was created to at least show that the monster girls, the Mamono, aren't bad by a human known only as the Wandering Scholar. Which made him curious about wanting to meet and talk to the man.
Though if he was the Order, he would use this to their advantage against the Mamono! This one book can lead them to victory!
Though one thing he notices is that it is also revealed that the MGE book is exuding Demonic Mana. This demonic energy that Monster Girls release can corrupt anyone to a Mamono, or Incubus for male humans. Especially since it was also written in the book from the author himself!
Which made him wonder if the Wandering Scholar wanted that or some Mamono did it without asking him. Since it is very counter-intuitive if it was the former is the case. He seems to be passionate to show the world the Mamono are not bad.
Maybe it is the latter than the former.
Good thing he used some spells to cleanse the corruption. And a bit surprise that it is effective, which he noted for later.
As for the Monster Girls, well he was stumped by them. Mostly due to how the monsters are now beautiful humanoids now as monster girls, or Mamono for short. Since the Mamono mean well, but are currently run by the most naïve and ditzy leader ever. A woman who believes sex and loves is all you ever need.
Fernando swears she will give misogynists back on Earth all the reasons why women can't lead a country, let alone rule the whole world.
Then again, they will not be complaining if they have a wife that is obedient as a Mamono.
Speaking of which, the Mamono he encountered left him amused and disturbed in his time here. Sure, they look attractive and very helpful, but they seem to want about sex, at least the wild ones. Even if it's suggested as a past time. Especially the horny ones like the Orcs and Werewolves. Add in they can only give birth to daughters and they are unknowingly committing genocide against the humans without realizing it. Which makes him wonder if the Demon Lord, or Demon Lady, did that on purpose.
Though not all are bad. Some do mean well as they don't mind waiting. Especially the cases of areas that are Green Demon Realms or not at all. It is just how they are biologically augmented by their Demon Lord. That in some cases, once they get married, Mamono that are near their husbands is that they sort of lose it. While others managed to keep it in control, albeit maybe feeling a bit happier.
So, the Mamono aren't all that bad. Well most of them. Some are crazy bitches, most are actually fine. Just the leader in charge, her albino daughters and those who take her words to the extreme like the Radicals are the problem.
So not all of them are bad.
… like her… all rocky and upbeat…
'No. No, no, no, no!' Fernando thought as he growled. 'I don't want to think about what happened! Already had a shit day. Don't need to open that wound.'
Shaking those thoughts away from his attempt to move away from Lescatie two months ago, Fernando walked back to his home after a long day.
First, he still not over his first bodyguard quest a week ago, which was easy. Though this led to his encounter with the Mamono, the Orc Tribe to be exact.
One thing he noticed about the Mamono is that they act all seductive and femdom until they lose a limb. So killingly them is entirely optional if he severs a limb. He had done it before in the past when his quests had Mamono as a factor or not.
The second one was from doing a quick quest that he encountered a group of Werewolves harassing a farmer's sheep herd. Mostly since he was out looking for the livestock. Though thankfully he wounded the alpha and like the Orcs, they retreated when he drew blood. No Mamono were hurt, and they got the message he doesn't to be their husband.
Better than the attempted raped by a disguise Succubus. That is an incident he doesn't want to happen again. Happened in an alleyway in one of the towns out in the countryside. Though he spare the bitch who learned her lesson. Which she took to heart and became what the new Demon Lord gave her lease in life. Even found herself a husband when she sent him a letter, somehow.
Good for her, he suppose. Still weird she found his address.
The foreign knight was on his way when he heard flapping noises, which he deduced to be clothing being dry. He turns to his right to see Sasha Fullmoon taking off with the help of her orphans in the courtyard. He smiled at them as he bows to them.
"Good afternoon, Sasha," he greeted her. "How is your day going?"
"Oh, I'm doing good, Fernando," Sasha replied as she smiled at him. "Just having help with the laundry. Isn't that right, everyone?"
"Yep/Yea/Yay!" The five kids said with a smile. Fernado knew a few of them. Lisia, Emiyu and Ralph. Nice kids that are being well raised by her.
"That's good to hear, at least," the knight said as he was going to walk to him and call it a day.
"Um, Fernando?"
The man paused as he turned to see Sasha. He was confused as he looked at her.
"Is something the matter, Sasha?" Fernando asked her.
"Would it be nice if you help take care of the children for a while? Um, please?" The green priestess asked.
"Is there a reason for it?" Fernando asked her, confused at the request.
"Yes," Sasha sighed. "I have to go for a meeting with the other heroes and I need the children to be taken care of."
"Well I did help you out these couple of months like you helped me," Fernando deduced as he smiled. "Sure. Anything to get my mind off my long day."
"Thank you!" Sasha smiled at his generosity.
"YAY!" The kids cheered with half going to inform the rest he would be staying.
Sasha thanked him as she went to the meeting while he stayed behind. Though he changed into his normal clothes by then as he began to his babysitting. Fernando watched over the children the next couple of hours as he got to know them more. It was good with the kids, but his patient can run dry quickly. He ain't a perfect babysitter since he has his moments. Still, he made sure no rough housing occurred, no fights occurred, and made sure they were fed for their lunch.
When they went outside to play, he managed to make a ball of leathery origins as he told of this game called football, which made the kids understand the name of the game. Along with the rules being to kick the ball and score a point. It got the kids excited at this new game, though Fernando had to be the referee just to be safe. Some took it too far that he had to intervene a lot. As well as reminding them of teams and teamwork.
The match started out well. The boys of red and blue teams working together to get the ball and go in and score. Though he noticed some were getting rough with each other. He had to interfere a lot. It soon got bad between two kids, one from each team.
"I said no roughhousing, kids," Fernando said with authority as he had to pull apart two boys from fighting.
"But Sir Fernando!" the two whined as they pointed at each other accusingly. "He started it!"
"I don't care and I will treat both of you guilty if you don't behave," the older man said to them as the two grumbled. Sighing, Fernando began walking with the two in two. "For that, Jim and Sean, you two are going to the sides." The rest of the boys laughed as the two sat on different sides to avoid fighting. He asks the girls to make sure they don't fight and cheer them up, to which they agree as the boys continue to play football.
"Blue team scores," He said, as the boys in blues won as the red team growled that they lost. Fernando got them all to their positions as he got set the ball in the middle of the field for the game to continue. A couple of minutes later and they got their revenge.
"Blue team, foul! Due to injuring Kyle, penalties!" The coach said as everyone was curious on how it would work.
Suddenly, the blue team's keeper gulped nervously as he have to stop the ball by the red team. Billy smirks as it was payback time for red team! He took a deep breath before releasing, rushing to the ball and kicked it hard. Thankfully, it missed the goalie's head by an inch over and scored. Red team cheered as blue team realize why Fernando said no roughhousing.
"Red team score!" Fernando exclaimed as the reds cheered. "Gregory, let me to teach you how to cover next time. Same for Jeffry." The goalie sighed in relief as that was a scary experience.
Fernando sighed as the game continued. Soon the game ended with the reds winning the match with a score of five to three to the blues. He told everyone to behave as it was time to go inside.
He just hopes Sasha doesn't take too long.
With Sasha, at the meeting
'Huh, damn bureaucrats and nobles,' Sasah thought as she was in a meeting with the high officials and heroes in one of Lescatie's finest buildings.
Yet they like to throw parties like it was nothing. Just some regular gilded things to show off their wealth.
Shit like this is why she is helping Druella.
"I do find the meeting to take this unnecessary long," Sasha whispered to Wilmarina.
"I agree," the noble heroine told her. "We should be concern on the monsters now that the frontlines is reaching near Lescatie."
"While I do believe in the Chief God, we shouldn't let our guard down nonetheless."
"I agree, Sasha. But you know how they are."
The two sighed as they went back to the meeting.
'And to think Druella also wants to meet up later tonight,' Sasha sighed mentally. 'Talk about bad timing.'
With Fernando and the kids
After playing outside, he brought them inside to rest for a bit. Though he decided to let them color for a bit. He did have to make a quick errand to his house to get the paint and pencils. Time to let the kids have better artisitic freedom. He can tell the girls will like this a lot.
"See, kids, I don't mind helping out," Fernando said as he help and instructed the kids.
The kids were playing with their artistic mindset as they were allowed to draw to their heart's content…
…provided they didn't make a mess first.
"Look, look, Big Brother!"
"We tried to imagine how Ash Lake look like!"
"Look at my drawing of you fighting the demons!"
"Here is you and Big Sis!"
All good artwork that he doesn't mind. Kids their age, from his nostalgia and experience, do their best. Just that the paint is getting on the floor!
Fernando had to work overtime to make sure they didn't make a big mess. He is just happy his time back on Earth prepared for this. Though he can't be too strict since he doesn't want them to express their imaginary freedom.
'What I would do for some color pencils,' he mentally groaned, since that would be useful right now. 'I just hope Sasha's doing fine with her meeting.'
With Sasha, on route to Druella
Sasha carefully left Lescatie after the meeting was finally over. Though she told Wilmarina that she is going to do an errand before heading home. This is to not to worry them and assume the worst. She has an alibi at least.
Especially since she has to meet with her Mamono boss.
She managed to make it the safehouse again in secret. She knocked first, said the password and was let in by the Kunoichi. She bowed before entering inside to see Druella.
"Ah~, Sasha~," Druella said as she hugged the human, though being careful. "It's good to see you again."
"Hello again, Lady Druella," the nun greeted back before frowning. "You caught me at a bad time, you know?"
"Did I?" The Lilim asked her confusedly.
Sasha sighed as she told the Fourth Borne and her entourage of the situation. From the sudden call for a meeting with Lescatie's nobles and heroes to the arranged meeting that was planned a month ago. This made the Lilim to scratched her head in embarrassment since she put her in such stress.
"I apologize for that, Sasha," Druella replied as she admitted she put too much stress on her human informant. "Though who is taking care of the children?"
That made the human traitor clapping her hands in surprise.
"Oh yea, I forgot to mention you about it," Sasha said before a smile appeared on her face. "Fernando came back!"
From here, Sasha began to tell Druella that the man she took care of came back three week ago. This made the Lilim very proud that he came back as she had a hard time to find about the man since it seems finding him from description is hard to come by. Sasha told her that he lives separate now, though visit each other from time to time. Both to his house and her orphanage are not far apart, which made the Mamono royal to giggle.
Though the Mamono decided to give the human some of her advice. While she want to wait on the marriage for the sex, the Lilim and her bodyguards nonetheless gave the greenette advice on being with her man. Especially since they been together as friends for seven months now. This made Sasha to blushed chili pepper red again as Druella and her entourage offered on what she can do friendly and non lewd before seducing him. Make him feel comfortable and the likes. As well making sure to stake her claim to him.
Only they knew it would go a bit to the night.
With Fernando, at night
After a long day now, Fernando told the kids it was time for dinner and then an hour of rest before going to bed. The kids groan but followed nonetheless. He and some kids helped made dinner, which they enjoyed. He then wash the dishes with some other kids before they began to rest. Fernando told a story of his adventures. This one being when he and small group of Dark Knights descending into Lost Izalith. The kids awed at the cool story he retold on how he and the four knights fought against the demons. Soon they all felt very sleepy as he help all of them to fall asleep in their beds.
Originally going home but Fernando was curious about what's taking Sasha so long. Plus, he cannot leave the kids alone.
"Yesh, what is taking her so long?" Fernando asked as he found this ridiculous. "It shouldn't take that long for a meeting." He sighed when he his mind began to drift to some memories.
"You alright?" Fernando asked as he found the witch in the Nexus after her ordeal, though still traumatized. "I don't waiting."
"Ah! Hello again, dear hunter," said the man behind the glass in his home. "How have you been?" Fernando smiled, still happy Gilbert is still fine besides the cough.
"Ah, hello again, Outsider," said an elven woman, which Fernando bowed in return. "Are you ready to gain the great sword of a king?"
"Thanks for the donation, Shinobi-san," the one eyed man said to him with a grin. "Give me time to set up shop."
"You know, saving you reminded me of Yuria," Fernando told Karla, who gawked on what she heard. "No, not the Yuria of Londor. She is from Boletaria... and a Witch, just like you."
"Would you please... kill my father... Sir Fernando?" a crossbreed asked him in the painting world. "For thou truly care for me and wanting to be Lord."
"Ah, you are truly strong to become a hunter," praised a woman with horns on her head to him. "Only someone like you can rise above these challenges!"
This made him reflect on all the things he been through before today. Fernando still find it amusing the times he still had to wait before on his adventures. Sometimes even getting surpirses or breaking the ice. Even if it had gotten him trouble later down the road. Still, he shouldn't let this meeting get the better of him. She should be coming back any minute now.
Knock Knock Knock
Fernando heard the knocks to the door as he went to room leading to the door. He didn't got a chance to say anything as it open to see Sasha coming in.
"I'm home," she greeted to him.
"Hello, Sasha," Fernando replied with a smile. She waved at him before pausing as she looked at Fernando.
"Hello Fernando, sorry for taking forever," Sasha said before noticing something. "Um, where are the kids?"
"I took them to their beds after the dinner, Sasha," Fernando explained as he let out a sigh of relief, "we were busy both outside and inside with the activities I gave them while also feeding them snacks before the evening and dinner," the stranger from a far away land explained to her.
"That's amazing," she commented. "The times you helped out with me showed you were good with the children. But not to this extent alone without help." She gasped as she apologized. "I'm sorry if I offended you."
"It's fine, Sasha, it's the least I can do for my neighbor and former host," Fernando reassures her as he hugs her, making her blush. "While I'm glad you're back, I need to go back home now." He patted her back before he let go. "I will see you tomorrow. Good night." The man was about to go home as he walked past her.
"Actually," she said as he slowly stopped walking. "I haven't had dinner yet since I came running here due to it being very late. Um, would you like to have dinner with me?" Things were awkward between the two of them. "I know you may have eaten an hour before, but I don't like the feeling of being alone. But I understand if you need to go." She giggled while mentally she was freaking out. 'I hope this works,' she thought with a prayer.
Fernando looked at her as he was confused and conflicted. He didn't want to turn her down since she got home and the kids are asleep now. Yet he already ate dinner with the kids an hour ago. Plus his date from earlier in the week did leave a bad taste.
'Just stay here and eat with her,' a thought came to Fernando's mind that seemed very innocent enough. 'It's all she's asking due to being away for so long.' The brunette chuckled as he looked at her.
"Alright, Sasha, I'll stay and have a bite of dinner with you," he told her with a smile. She giddy at the thought she won't be eating alone as the two went to the kitchen to warm up dinner between the two.
"So what did you make?" She asked him.
"A special that my mom makes," Fernando said with a small smile. "Beans soup with pasta, corn and meat. I have cheese to the side if you want to add it. The kids loved it, you know."
"Mhmm, it smells delicious," Sasha commented with a smile as she sniff the aroma from the soup. "I find it amazing you made this type of stew. I bet your mother would be proud of you."
"Yea, she would be," Fernando replied as the two walked to the dishes and then to the pot. "I can get your bowl ready. I'll get half of a bowl."
"Thank you, Fernando."
The brunette began to pour the soup into her bowl first before putting some onto his. She giggled as he let fire die a little bit to keep it alive for the soup. The two went to the table and began to converse for a bit. Catching up on how things been from his quest to her day. Sasha was surprised he took a Mamono related quest and asked how it go. Fernando confessed with some guilt that he dismembered an Orc's arm off, which thankfully got her tribe to retreat. Sasha was surprised and said that is completely unheard of, which Fernando said it sure was. While the greenette said her day was long and boring at the meeting. She even criticize of the overblown party they had despite the meeting being serious. The man agreed and keel it a secret between the two of them.
After it was done and closer at night, Fernando told her what to do now.
"Why you sleep in my room, of course," Sasha replied with a smile.
"Need helped to pull the cushion then?" Fernando asked her.
"No," she said, surprising him. "I believe we are both tired and don't want to overstress to much."
"You want to share the bed?" the man asked with a blush on his face. The woman followed suit. "You sure?"
"Absolutely," the greenette replied with conviction despite being red. 'I hope this works. Please, Druella, I hope this works at least.'
"I mean, if you're alright with it," the brunette replied, admittedly nervous.
"T-th-then it's s-settle then!" Sasha declared as the two went to her room.
They simply got the blankets ready since he agreed. It has been a long day. They soon laid in bed despite keeping their cloths on, but they don't mind. They had sleep in their clothes before anyway. Plus, she doesn't mind as the laid there in the same bed together.
Still, there is something about looking at each other's faces at such a close look that makes this feel personal. To Fernando, seeing the angelic look of Sasha's face makes her beautiful. To Sasha, despite the scar and dual colored eyes, Fernando is very handsome.
Though the two were breathing heavily since this is a first for the two. Though the urge to sleep is very strong that the two smiled one last time.
"Good night, Sasha."
"Good night, Fernando."
And off into their dreams they went.
Sorry for the long chapter. Hope you guys like it though. Now I know you guys will feel I am rushing things, but this is a taste on what is to come for the first 20 chapters. Which admittedly actual chapter 8 is taking forever due it being the actual date. Meanwhile chapter 6, 7, and even 9 are done.
