"Sakura..."
She felt a small shake on her form as a groan escaped her lips. Her body felt as if it were chewed up by an elephant then spat out.
She slowly forced her eyelids open revealing her verdant eyes. They burned slightly as they were met with the sunlight forcing its way in through the blinds of the room. She immediately winced before looking for the source of her disturbance in slumber.
"K-kakashi-sensei..?" She whispered as she rubbed her irritated eyes. She could barely make out his form but she knew his voice anywhere.
As she slowly woke the events of the day rushed to her mind before a gasp escaped her dry cracked lips. Pulling her hand away from her eyes, it came into view. Chakra blockers. Her eyes raced to her former teacher's face, even with it partially covered by his mask she could read his expression clearly. She deflated completely, fighting back the tears that were begging to be set free.
"I...-we are still trying to figure it all out Sakura" he said softly as he stroked her shoulder. He had known the women before him as a child. He'd seen her through many important moments in her life, but for some reason the past few years had been the hardest for her and he's found himself being her confidant. He had to admit at first it seemed as a chore, he had been there by pure coincidence.
He remembered not more than three years before he had caught the pink haired woman crying her eyes out at the top of the hospital. Most people avoided the roof but it was always somewhere her found himself and his students turning to. As she realized her arrived she was quick to try and regain composure but it was too late. She cried in his arms as she counted to him her parents renouncing her as their daughter. The anger that flew through his body as she finally voiced the neglect she suffered by them for years. Never speaking because at least she had parents was what she figured but then she didn't even have that. He vowed at that moment to himself he would try to be everything she needed whether she knew it or not. Whether she accepted it or not.
That moment changed a lot the dynamic of their relationship. He found himself fighting to be the one she vented to. As everyone in Konoha grew and paired off it seemed they were the only ones without a significant other to share their lives with. He knew her heart belonged to another but if she ever gave him a chance, even if the odds were stacked against him he'd swear she'd never have a doubt, a second thought or a regret. If only she'd give him the chance.
She sighed shrugging off his hand and got up off the bed, realizing she wasn't in her own home. "Where are we?" She asked as she looked around the unfamiliar room. It was simple in decor, yet carried an ominous feel. Dark, sleek yet reeked with sophistication, money.
"my house."
His voice. It brought chills to her entire body. Had he been there the entire time? She turned her head slowly her eyes meeting his dark mystery coal one's.
"Sasuke."
