A/N: This chapter is more of just a chapter for the group to relax since in the story timeline, about right now would be Golden Week, so that means Mimi is gonna come into this chapter, just like episode 6 of 02. This chapter won't really any serious fights. Also, just a reminder that this follows Adventure 2020 and since we haven't gotten a sequel, I get a little bit of leeway in how the characters will be. :D

Also, is anyone else having weird issues with notifications for new chapters in stories? Usually when I post a new chapter the website emails me to tell me that the Chapter is out. But I didn't receive any email for last chapter.

Chapter 6: A relaxing Golden Week

Angemon and Nefertimon were floating opposite to each other, both clearly tired from their battle. The two had a few minor scratches, but Angemon looked less damaged.

Angemon: "Hah! You getting tired over there, Nefertimon?"

Nefertimon: "In your dreams, Angemon!"

Angemon and Nefertimon then charged at each other once again, Nefertimon's claws clashing with Angemon's rod. Nefertimon fired her Rosetta stone attack, causing Angemon to back off, then he twirled and hit it with his Rod elegantly. They were about to attack each other again when Koushiro's cried out.

Koushiro: "Alright, I think you two can stop now! That was a great fight, and I got a lot of data from it. Sorry I had to pry you guys away when you should be relaxing with everyone else."

Angemon and Nefertimon stopped their fight and flew down to their partners.

Hikari: "It's no problem at all, Koushiro. The more data we can get the easier it is for us to guage our strength."

Takeru: "Yeah, plus both Hikari and me are still a little injured so we can't exactly go over and play with the rest."

Koushiro: "Uh-huh, and your injuries don't stop the both of you from playing Basketball together?"

Takeru: "Well my leg is good enough for me to at least play Basketball as long as I don't overexert myself."

Hikari: "And I'm the only one that can give you a challenge without breaking your leg."

Koushiro: "I'm still surprised at how well you two work together, you both are like Sora and… Ahem, but of course in your case it would be Basketball instead of Soccer."

Hikari: "Koushiro, for the last time, it's fine. You can say his name. It's not like I'm going to break into a million pieces at the mention of his name. Also, why would you be surprised?"

Koushiro: "Well, you just don't seem like the athletic type, Hikari. And even if you were, I would have thought you would play Soccer like Taichi."

Takeru: "You would be surprised Koushiro, she is honestly better than even some of my teammates in the club."

Hikari: "Soccer isn't really my thing."

Nefertimon: "Plus, by not taking Soccer she can get away from Daisuke's flirting attempts…"

Hikari: "Nefertimon, don't be so mean to him…"

Nefertimon: "But it's true…"

Koushiro: "I honestly feel bad for the poor kid."

Hikari: "It's fine, he will realise eventually that I can't love him more than a brother."

Takeru: "Anyways, we should probably get back to the rest before Onii-chan starts a search party for us."

Koushiro: "Didn't we tell him this wouldn't take more than half an hour?"

Angemon: "That was around twenty minutes ago."

Takeru: "And Onii-chan would start looking the moment it hits the thirty-minute mark."

Hikari: "Sigh… Sometimes our siblings are way too overprotective."

Takeru: "Yeah… but it's gotten worse ever since Taichi disappeared. Now he is even worried about you."

Koushiro: "I mean, it makes sense. Yamato treated Hikari like a little sister, same with how Taichi treated you, Takeru."

Takeru: "Fair enough."

Koushiro: "Well, we should really get going. We don't want them to worry about us. Angemon, Nefertimon, think you two have enough energy to bring us back quickly?"

Nefertimon: "Don't worry about it we can get you guys back no problem."

Yamato: "I'm telling you. you really do not want to test that theory."

Daisuke: "You're only saying that because he is your brother."

Sora: "Trust us, Daisuke. You guys can't win that fight."

Daisuke: "I'm sure we can!"

Just then Angemon and Nefertimon landed, carrying their respective partners, and Koushiro on Nefertimon's back. Nefertimon reverted to Tailmon, and Angemon was about to revert to Patamon when Yamato stopped him.

Yamato: "Takeru, answer me honestly. Are you and Hikari the strongest Digidestined?"

Takeru: "Nope. You and Taichi are the strongest."

Yamato: "Only when we pull out Omegamon..."

Hikari: "So what's happening here? And why are you telling Angemon to not revert to Patamon?"

Miyako: "Daisuke has gotten a crazy idea."

Joe: "He thinks that if Miyako, Iori and him team up, they can win against Takeru."

Iori: "I personally don't think we should be focusing on this. You guys have had much more experience, so naturally we wouldn't stand a chance."

Mimi: "It's not just experience."

Angemon: "It all depends on how much you want to limit me."

Takeru: "Angemon..."

Tailmon: "Why are you guys even thinking you stand a chance against Takeru or Hikari? You should be aiming for one of the others, not us."

Hikari: "Tailmon..."

Koushiro: "Although that was very mean to both them and us, it's completely true."

Daisuke: "I still don't believe you guys. You are clearly underestimating us."

Yamato: "You know, the best way to prove something is to show it, so Takeru why don't you take them up on this?"

Takeru: "Are you crazy? Just because we are on the Cloud Continent doesn't mean we should start a meaningless fight…"

Sora: "Why don't you just show them without fighting? I think Daisuke will know to back off once he sees how strong the Holy Digimon truly are."

Takeru: "Sigh… Alright, fine. But I'm pulling Hikari into this."

Hikari: "What? Why am I involved now?"

Tailmon: "Because it would be funny to see their reactions when they realise the power of us, Holy Digimon."

Hikari: "Fine."

Takeru: "Let's just get this over with, Angemon."

"Angemon Super-Evolution! HolyAngemon!"

"Tailmon Super-Evolution! Angewomon!"

Takeru: "Can we stop here? I really prefer if we don't have to go further…"

Hikari: "Yeah, surely this is enough, right? I'm pretty sure Koushiro already established that Armor-Evolution is weaker than normal Evolution. We even just did a test on that."

Yamato: "So, that's where you guys went off to..."

Daisuke: "What! Your Digimon evolve into Angels!?"

HolyAngemon: "Of course, the two of us are the Holy Digimon and the perfect pair."

Iori: "Takeru, Hikari, I have a request."

Takeru: "What's up, Iori?

Iori: "Can you show us your Digimon's full power? I am interested in seeing it. It is fine if you two don't want to show us. I just want to gauge how much stronger you two are."

Takeru: "Oh, well I guess we could, right Hikari?"

Hikari: "I guess we could, by the way I recommend you guys walk back a little so you can see our Digimon properly."

Miyako: "What do you mean?"

Koushiro: "Oh you will see. If you guys really want to see them in their full glory, you should follow me."

The new Digidestined were confused but followed the older Digidestined, who all knew that they would be amazed at the sheer size of the Digimon.

Koushiro: "Alright! We should be far enough. TAKERU! HIKARI! GO FOR IT!"

Takeru: "Wow, he can shout."

Hikari: "Yeah, let's just get this over with and float to them."

"HolyAngemon Mega-Evolution! Seraphimon!"

"Angewomon Mega-Evolution! Ophanimon!"

Takeru and Hikari were then enveloped in a yellow and pink light respectively. They floated up towards the heads of their Digimon.

The new Digidestined stared in shock. They had never expected Takeru and Hikari's Digimon to be so big. They had seen Cresgarurumon's impressive size, but they didn't realise the other Digimon were going to be so big as well.

Takeru, Hikari and their Digimon floated over to the group. Takeru and Hikari slowly descended with smirks.

Takeru: "Hey, what's up guys?"

Hikari: "What's with the surprised faces? Surely you aren't too surprised to see us, right?"

Takeru, Hikari and their Digimon began laughing as the Digimon reverted to Patamon and Tailmon

Takeru: "So, Iori was that enough? Or did you want us to show off something?"

Iori: "That was quite breath-taking. I think that display was good enough, it would be bad if you guys tried to show off something and accidentally break something."

Mimi: "Anyways, with that fantastic display out of the way, how about we get to the picnic?"

Just then a loud, familiar roar was heard.

Hikari: "Isn't that?"

Takeru: "It is, Patamon, let's go meet him. Digimental Up!"

"Patamon Armor-Evolution! Pegasmon! Soaring Hope!"

Pegasmon: "Tailmon, Hikari, wanna come along?"

Hikari: "Sure."

Pegasmon: "Hop on, you used a lot of energy just now, I can still go on for a little longer."

Tailmon: "Just don't push yourself."

Daisuke: "Hey! Where are you taking Hikari?!"

Yamato: "Don't worry, they just want to see an old friend. They will come back to us soon, we should just get on with the picnic first."

Takeru: "I see him over there! Let's get closer and see how he is doing."

Hikari: "We travelled quite far, are you two really that big when you evolve to Seraphimon and Ophanimon?"

Tailmon: "It seems that way…"

Pegasmon flew in front of Eldoradimon, Eldoradimon responded with a loud roar.

Tailmon: "It's good to see you too Eldoradimon."

Takeru: "So how's it like being on the Cloud Continent again?"

Eldoradimon roared in response and tilted his head upwards towards the castle on his back.

Pegasmon: "He said that he is having a great time back here. He also told us to go to the castle and say hi to Leomon."

Hikari: "Leomon is here as well? That's great."

Takeru: "Let's go say hi on behalf of everyone else as well."

Miyako: "So Mimi, why haven't we seen you in the Digital World? I thought Koushiro's program allowed you to travel here from any computer that had it?"

Mimi: "I left about a year after our final battle with Negamon, at that point Koushiro didn't manage to finish the program yet. Now, I'm back for my cousin's wedding. I'll be going back at the end of the week but at least I'll be able to come here after that."

Daisuke: "Couldn't he have just sent it to you by email or something?"

Koushiro: "I was only going to use that as a last option. The last thing we want is some virus corrupting it. We were willing to wait until Mimi came back to Japan so I could manually install it into her computer."

Yamato: "Yeah, Takeru was luckier, he went away about half a year after Mimi, and by then Koushiro finished the program."

Sora: "I remember he was in the Digital World so much. Now that I think about it, wasn't it always Taichi, Hikari and him?"

Yamato: "Yeah, I came when I could, but he spent most of his time with those two. Now that I think about it, he was mostly with Hikari since Taichi usually went off to handle something for Koushiro."

Koushiro: "Maybe that's why they got so close."

Hikari: "Leomon! It's great to see you again."

Leomon: "Oh, if it isn't the child of Light, and Hope as well."

Takeru: "Come on Leomon, we already told you to call us by our names."

Leomon: "How could I even think to do that Digidestined? You guys are legends here in the Digital World, and you two are partnered to the Holy Digimon, which is even more of a reason to give you proper respect."

Patamon: "It still doesn't feel right to us…"

Leomon: "So, how may I help you, Digidestined?"

Tailmon: "We just came by to say hello, and also to warn you of the Digimon Kaiser."

Leomon: "Ah, him. I've heard the rumours. Wisemon was the one that told us to evacuate to the Cloud Continent. He said it was safe from the Kaiser."

Takeru: "That's right. Koushiro said he hasn't been able to get his dark rings to reach the Cloud Continent yet, so you should be safe here."

Leomon: "That's good to hear. Say hello to the rest of the Digidestined for me."

Tailmon: "About that…"

Hikari: "Leomon, is it possible for me to ask a question?"

Leomon: "Why, of course go ahead."

Hikari: "Have you seen my brother around? He is the child of Courage."

Leomon: "Ah, the one partnered to Agumon. I cannot say I have seen him around. Why do you ask?"

Takeru: "He disappeared in the Digital World about a month ago and we were just wondering if you have seen him at all."

Leomon: "I see, well, I will be sure to contact you if I get any information."

Hikari: "Thanks, Leomon."

Tailmon: "We should go back, the others may worry if we take too long."

Hikari: "Sounds good to me."

Takeru: "let's get going then."

Takeru/Hikari: "Digimental Up!"

"Patamon Armor-Evolution! Pegasmon! Soaring Hope!"

"Tailmon Armor-Evolution! Nefertimon! Light of Smiles!"

The group bid farewell to Leomon and Eldoradimon, and went back to the rest of the Digidestined.

Iori: "Over here! Takeru! Hikari!"

Takeru and Hikari landed with their Digimon at the group, which had a picnic mat set out with food spread out for the humans and Digimon.

Koushiro: "So how was Eldoradimon?"

Hikari: "He seemed quite happy to be living peacefully now. He was also happy to be a refuge place for Leomon and other Digimon."

Takeru: "Leomon told us to say hello on his behalf, and he also said he would give us information on Taichi if he gets any."

Koushiro: "I see, well whatever information we can get is helpful."

Mimi: "Koushiro, you really need to get your head out of that computer screen for a while…"

Sora: "Yeah, we know that whatever you are doing is important but it's Golden Week. You should relax a little."

Koushiro: "Oh fine. Let's just get started on our picnic."

The Digidestined enjoyed their meal while sharing some stories to the younger kids.

Iori: "Wow, you guys went through a lot in your past experience here."

Takeru: "I think you can call it more of an Adventure or rather, multiple Adventures."

Yamato: "Speaking of our past Adventure, isn't that Hikari's scarf on your leg, Takeru?"

Hikari: "It is. I gave it to him to wrap his leg when we were at the tree. I'm surprised you didn't notice it yet. I would give him back his hat, but I don't think it would be a good idea. That hat has one side of it dyed red."

Takeru: "It's fine, I can live without my hat, even if it feels unnatural."

Patamon: "I prefer when you had your hat. It was softer than your head."

Takeru: "You could just fly and not sit on my head."

Patamon: "Sitting on your head is easier than flying."

Miyako: "Well now that we are done with the food, what's the plan now?"

Veemon: "We can continue playing games. Kicking the ball was fun."

Daisuke: "Yeah, we can play Soccer again. You're going to be on the opposite team, Takeru."

Takeru: "I'm good. I don't think Soccer is a good idea with my injured leg."

Joe: "It should be fine, your leg seems to be completely healed. It's honestly impressive how fast injuries in the Digital World heal."

Takeru: "Well, I'd rather play Basketball, it has a much lower risk of me injuring myself again."

Daisuke: "But more of us want to play Soccer."

Hikari: "We don't all have to play the same thing. Takeru and I can go play Basketball while the rest of you guys play Soccer. Plus, Takeru and I are much more experienced in Basketball, we will know what limits to set so we don't injure ourselves further."

Takeru: "That sounds good to me. So, same rules as always, Yagami?"

Hikari: "Oh, you are so on Takaishi."

With that, Daisuke, Sora, Iori, Miyako and their digimon went off to play their Soccer, although it was mainly Daisuke and Sora who were playing seriously. However, the group playing Soccer soon stopped their game to witness Takeru and Hikari in a very intense match.

Yamato: "Welcome back guys."

Iori: "How long have they been going for?"

Joe: "They have each gotten at least ten shots in each, I've lost track already."

Miyako: "How long are they intending to keep this up for?"

Sora: "They usually do first to five and ahead by two successful shots. They are very evenly matched. I think I've seen them go up to more than twenty before."

Takeru and Hikari were panting hard and both looked ready to collapse from exhaustion.

Takeru: "You look… quite exhausted… there, Hika… can't keep up?"

Hikari: "Ha! Says you… you're the one… who looks exhausted. Is your leg, ok?"

Takeru: "Don't worry about that… maybe we should take a break… call this one a tie?"

Hikari: "That sounds good… you look ready to collapse…"

Takeru and Hikari slowly walked over to the rest of the group and threw themselves onto the ground on their backs.

Sora: "That looked intense. You two, ok?"

Takeru: "Yeah… just tired."

Joe: "Does your leg feel sore or painful in any way?"

Takeru: "Don't worry Doctor Kido. I'm fine."

Joe: "Alright. Just making sure."

Miyako: "You two seem very serious in your game."

Hikari: "Well, when we could only meet in the Digital World for a year, it was something fun to do."

Takeru: "Yeah, eventually it became a natural thing. We would just keep on meeting and having games with each other."

Iori: "Couldn't you two have met in our world?"

Takeru: "Unfortunately, Koushiro's program doesn't allow that yet."

Koushiro: "Yeah, I know, I just can't seem to figure out how to allow us to come out of a different device instead of just the same one we used to enter."

At the confused looks of some, Takeru spoke up.

Takeru: "In English, if we enter through the gate on Koushiro's computer, we will come out of that same gate. Koushiro hasn't found a way to change the exit point. So, for example, I can't just come out of my computer if I entered through Koushiro's."

Daisuke: "That makes a lot more sense."

Mimi: "Anyways, the sun's going down soon, so we should probably get going back home."

Joe: "It's a shame the Digital World has its time synced with our world now."

Koushiro: "Well, what can we do about it? When Negamon broke into our world it caused things to mess up then the times synchronized."

Mimi: "Well, it's been fun seeing all of you guys again. I should get going now to get enough sleep for my cousin's wedding. Hopefully, next time I come back to Japan, Taichi will be back."

Hikari: "Have fun at your cousin's wedding Mimi, I also hope Onii-chan can be found soon."

Koushiro: "We should all go back and rest as well. I feel like the Kaiser is going to make the most of this Golden week, so tomorrow we should try our best to at least break his dark towers."

Takeru: "Sounds like a plan. Good night guys, we will meet tomorrow and hopefully reclaim a lot of the Kaiser's areas."

Koushiro: "Yep, rest up well guys. I'll stay here a bit longer and check on his progress."

Tentomon: "Not again... Takeru, Hikari, please help me get him home. He is constantly awake late at night."

Takeru and Hikari then went over to Koushiro and lifted him off his seat.

Koushiro: "Hey, you two... let me go."

Takeru: "Come on Koushiro..."

Hikari: "You won't be able to help us tomorrow if you aren't well rested. Just go back and sleep."

Koushiro: "Sigh fine..."

That's it for this chapter. I know it didn't really have any real action but I think it's nice for the Digidestined to take a break. It really helps to show that no matter their responsiblities, they are still young children at heart who want to have fun. Look forward to the next chapters!
