Onboard the Neo-Onyx, the patron's drinking and revelry was disrupted as a newcomer burst onto the bridge. "Behold, all you revellers. The true might of the restored Archris, soon to be ruler of the universe."
One of the terrified patrons stepped forward. "C-can we help you?"
"I am looking for the one called Lense.", Archris answered. "I have need of his services and was told he would be here."
"Yeah, yeah, no need to demand I be brought before you.", Lense said as he stepped up from a table and walked over to Archris. "I'll work for anyone who can pay enough. There's a reason why I'm the second greatest bounty hunter in the universe. The first only works for one person."
"I don't care about your employment options.", Archris growled. "You'll be compensated handsomely for your services." He then escorted his newest hire out via teleport.
Shortly after, the pair reappeared on the Arrowhead. "Needless to say, I had little trouble recruiting him."
"As I surmised.", Ignoblia commented. "Lense will always come running at the promise of money."
Lense was confused by her. "Do I know you?" Ignoblia went over and whispered in his ear for a few seconds. "Oh, right. My old pal, Ignoblia. How've you been?"
"I don't see why we need this loser.", Cuborg snarled. "I can take care of the Power Rangers."
"Not as efficiently as he can.", Archris answered him. "And with your track record, I want them destroyed by someone who can ensure that they won't be a threat."
"So, you've got some Power Rangers you want me to deal with?", Lense asked. "Well why didn't you say so? If they're your quarry, I'll work for free."
"I like your attitude.", Archris laughed as he sat down on his throne. "Now get out there and destroy the Rangers."
Down on Earth, the main 5 Rangers approached a restaurant with Stevie and Grandma Rose. "I told you, this isn't really necessary.", Grandma Rose insisted. "I'm fine with a small scale birthday."
"This is a small scale birthday.", Johnny insisted. "After all, it's just a couple of close friends at your favourite restaurant. Granted, not everyone's here yet."
"Jeremy and Luke will be here as soon as they pick up the cake.", Marina reminded everyone. "It's just that the bakery is on the other side of town."
Tora pouted at this. "I still don't know why you didn't ask me to make the cake. It would've saved everyone a lot of time."
"Well we felt it was better to have a professional do it.", Stevie told her. "Don't feel bad, my birthday's in two weeks, I'll let you bake for that."
Marina then heard something coming through the air. "Stevie, get down." She ran to knock the other woman over, only for both of them to be hit with a beam and disappear.
"What happened?", Trunks asked. "Where did they-?" He got hit by a similar beam, vanishing mid sentence.
A third beam then hit both Tora and Rose together. "Someone's targeting us.", Johnny realised. "The Rangers."
"Very clever." Lense said as he leapt out from his hiding place. "But it won't save you." He fired a beam at Johnny, making him vanish, before turning to Lenny. "And then, there was one."
"Yeah.", Lenny nodded as he pulled out his Morpher and became the Lion Ranger. He then ran towards Lense. "But don't think I'm goin' down without a fight."
"Uh uh, not unless you want to join the others.", Lense commented, causing Lenny to stop and panic… right in his sights. But Lenny realised this and started using incredible acrobatic manoeuvres to ruin the shots. "Stand still.", the Hunter growled. He then ran forward, but Lenny still dodged him.
"Thanks for that.", Lenny called out as he ran forward and punched the lens of the camera, breaking fragments off. "I needed to get in close so I could get a piece of your weapon. And I did that."
"Why you!", Lense growled. But then he laughed. "But you can't destroy me. I'm the only one who can help you get your friends back." He pulled out the pictures. "These pictures are all you have left of them. But I just have to destroy them, and you'll never see them again."
"No!", Lenny cried out.
"Bait Blast!" The photos were blown out of Lense's hand by Luke, after which Jeremy caught them. "Good thing we got here just in time."
"Now then.", Jeremy stated as he pointed his Chain Saber at Lense. "What did you do to our friends? Where are they?"
"Your friend there summed it up.", Lense laughed as he teleported out. "In time."
Now alone, the three Rangers demorphed. "Well he didn't waste time.", Luke pointed out. "And we've got no leads."
"Except for this.", Lenny said as he presented the broken lens. "If we can analyse this, we can figure out what he did to the others."
Jeremy took the shard. "I've got some theories. Mostly after he mentioned time."
Back on the Arrowhead, Lense explained himself to everyone. "The laser I fired was filtered through a lens made of Chonium, a rare metal with the ability to induce time travel. Anyone blasted is sent back in time, becoming incorporeal and merging with a being from the past. Then I create the photos both as a marker in case I get the wrong target or if I get payed to bring them back. But for those others, they get stuck living out their lives trapped within the body of another, with none of their original memories."
"So the Power Rangers will perish from disease or old age long before we ever approached the planet.", Archris realised, before chuckling. "Now we can proceed with Operation: Contamination."
"You're forgetting about the other three, my Lord.", Cuborg pointed out. "After all, his lens was broken before Lense could finish them off. And I doubt Chronium exists in large enough supply for him to fix it."
"I don't need to find more Chronium.", Lense countered. "I just need to find a suitable substitute material."
"I can help you.", Ignoblia spoke up, leading Lense out of the room. "Come, I'll show you my laboratory."
"Pah.", Cuborg commented. "Lord Archris, perhaps now that Lense is indisposed, you'll send me in to deal with the remaining Rangers."
Archris sighed. "Why not. You can't throw your life away doing this if you fail. Just waste some time."
"That Cubalian artefact you used to give me life sure is handy.", Cuborg laughed. "How ironic, I've been able to destroy the Rangers with the power of their home planet this whole time. And it's time I did so." He walked over to the teleporter, warping down to Earth.
Back at the zoo house, the shard of the lens was analysed by the Rangers' newest addition, Metal Alice. "Well?", Lenny asked. "Can you identify what that thing's made of?"
"The analysis matches that of Chronium.", Alice answered. "A mineral that when hit with a concentrated beam of energy can create a time ripple that sends whatever the beam hits back in time to a random point."
"So, they're somewhere in the past, right?", Luke rationalised. "That means we've just gotta go and get 'em."
"Not so simple.", Alice said in response, before holding up the photos. "The living beings displaced by a Chronium beam are rendered intangible and merges into a person from that era, becoming that person in mind and body. The only way to restore them is to present an object important to their present day life. Which means that time travel would be required."
"And if any of us went back, our minds would be just as trapped.", Jeremy lamented. But then he had a realisation. "Unless one of us just happened to possess multiple minds in one body."
Luke smiled. "I see what you mean. Al, Rhine and Were don't talk much, but I still hear them when I'm about to do something bad. They'll keep me focused on the mission. But I'm going to need objects of importance to everyone."
As if on cue, the Cubezords began to bang on the side of their enclosure. "I think that problem solved itself.", Lenny commented. "Now we just need to rig up a Time Machine and a way to find everyone."
The Eagle, Shark, Elephant and Tiger Zords leapt out of the cage and channeled their energies into the Chronium shard, causing it to open into a portal. "Well that's your Time Machine.", Alice commented. "I assume the energy signatures on the photos that Lense took will allow you to find them." She handed the pictures to Luke. "Good luck."
"I'm gonna need it.", Luke nodded, before jumping into the portal, which closed behind him.
Everyone else was left in silence. "So, what do we do now?", Lenny asked.
"We wait.", Jeremy answered. "As for how, I'm going for a walk."
Luke found himself waking up, noticing that his body now had no clothes on, save for a loincloth. "What was I doing last night?", he asked. "Some weird dream that was. Travelling through time and space. It almost seemed-." He then got a good look and found himself in the middle of a battlefield. On one side were figures in Egyptian clothes, on the other were people in Roman Centurion armour. "I really did-." He then took a look at the Sphinx. Not only was it looking a lot less shapeless than its present appearance, it also had a nose. "Alright, now I just need to try and find someone. But how do I get around to that?"
Suddenly, a man appeared behind him to strike with a bullwhip. He then started barking something, but whatever language he was speaking, Luke didn't recognise it. At least until a blue glow surrounded his eyes, at which point the man's words turned to English, which Luke supposed was some kind of translation spell. "I said, stand up Dog. You'll be attending the Queen in her chambers."
"'Queen'?", Luke questioned, before making a guess based on what little he knew of Egyptian history. "Queen Cleopatra?"
"Ooh, look who thinks he's so smart.", the man said mockingly, before he whipped Luke again. He then dragged him to his feet. "Lady Cleopatra has requested your presence, so I suggest you get going." He then pushed Luke towards a door, before departing.
A middle-aged woman then came running to Luke. "Iras, how could you slack off at this time? You know that Lady Cleopatra wishes for both of us to be by her side right now."
Luke then took one look at the woman, managing to recognise her face. "Stevie."
But it quickly became apparent that Metal Alice's warning was apt, as the woman did not understand the name. "Iras, I am Charmian, personal attendant to the Pharaoh Cleopatra. I have held this post for many years. Whoever this 'Stevie' is, I am not her. Now, let's go."
'Charmian' then led Luke through the door into what he assumed was a pyramid. They descended deeper into the structure, until they came to an opulent room full of treasure, with a woman in equally opulent dress sat on a throne in the centre. "You two have certainly taken your time.", she stated. Luke recognised her voice as Marina's, but this time he didn't say anything. He instead started looking around. Surely there must be something shark themed in here. "Why the delay?"
"My apologies, oh great Cleopatra.", 'Charmian' bowed. "Iras seemed to collapse on the way here, just as the siege began. One of the overseers decided to discipline him." Luke continued looking, eventually seeing the Shark Zord in its cube form and going for it.
"Well there is no need for punishment.", 'Cleopatra' shook her head. "That upright imbecile will more than likely meet his end at the hands of the Romans. But we must ensure that they-." She then noticed her other servant. "Iras, what are you doing? You know touching my treasure is a punishable offence, unless I instructed you."
"I'm sorry, you're Majesty.", Luke stated, as he shoved the cube into 'Cleopatra's' hands. "But this'll have to be an exception."
Sure enough, when she touched it, Marina's eyes glowed before she gasped. "Luke? What happened? Where are we?" She then took a moment to look at her clothes. "And into this outfit?"
"You've been sent back in time.", Luke explained. "It messed up your brain, but I've managed to fix it."
"My Lady, Iras, what is happening?", 'Charmian' asked. "Why are you acting so strangely?"
"And Stevie's still messed up.", Luke continued. "But don't worry, I can fix that." He turned and kissed Stevie on the cheek, causing her eyes to glow briefly.
"Luke, Marina, when did we agree to a Shakespearean performance?", Stevie asked. She then noticed that she and Marina were glowing. "What's happening?"
"Best guess, you're both heading home.", Luke answered. "I was told that once you remembered, you'd go back."
"But what about you?", Marina asked. "How will you return to the present?" The glowing then subsided, after which the two women suddenly looked completely different. Luke imagined that they'd only looked like his friends due to the same spell that let him speak to the natives.
He then saw the Eagle appeare before him, spinning around him to generate a red glow. "I guess I'll have to bring everyone back before I can go home." The glow then dissipated as the Egale vanished and Iras also collapsed to the floor.
Back in the present, the photo of Marina and Stevie disintegrated as the two of them reappeared in the zoo house. "You're back.", Lenny said as he went over to them. "Where did Lense send you?"
"I want to say… Ancient Egypt?", Stevie answered. "And I'm pretty sure Marina became Cleopatra, the Queen of the Nile."
"There was a regnant monarch over that river?", Marina asked. "I guess whatever force allocated roles has a sense of humour."
"I wouldn't rest easy just yet.", Metal Alice pointed out. "Not only will Lense eventually realise you've escaped and come to strike back, but there are still 4 other displaced for the Chimera Ranger to recover."
"She's right.", Marina nodded, as she went over to the other photographs. "But let's hope that Johnny, Tora and Trunks are as easily reminded as we were."
Tintangel, 5th Century.
A pair of knights were stood guard, when another came over to them. "Brothers, the king has requested your presence."
"But we can't leave our post.", one of them insisted.
"I will cover you.", the newcomer claimed. "Now go." The two guards nodded and moved away from the door. A fatal mistake, which the third guard used to push the bolt off the door, pushing the door open, at which point a woman on a horse entered the castle, with a large army of black knights following. "Welcome, Lady Morgan. Thanks to my diligence, Camelot is now yours for the taking."
"Why thank you.", the woman, known to the world as Morgan Le Fay, smiled at him. "Now, Arthur will pay for abandoning me due to my magical powers."
Soon enough, King Arthur's knights came running, having been alerted to the invasion but the sounds of hundreds of hoof beats. "We are betrayed!", one of the knights who had been guarding the door called out, as he led the others in drawing swords. "Knights, to arms."
As the two armies moved to fight each other, the traitor tried to make his exit, only being stopped by the arrival of a newcomer. "Oh, Lord Urian.", he said meekly, intimidated by the presence of King Arthur's brother. "I was just, going to get help from…"
"Save it, Sir Mordred.", the older man said. "You're not within your right mind, but I shall restore it." Mordred was co fused by these words. He didn't know of any enchantment Morgan had placed upon him, but when he saw the red cube in his uncle's hand that transformed into an eagle and caused his eyes to glow, he gained clarity. "Luke?", he asked with confusion. "Did the camera guy get you too? Is that why you're also in castle times?"
"Not quite.", Luke answered. "The guys and Metal Alice figured out a way for me to be sent back to retrieve you all. And all I had to do was reawaken your memories."
Sure enough, Johnny saw his body glowing. "I guess this is the return to the present?", he got out before his presence left Mordred's body, causing him to collapse.
"If only I could help out.", Luke said as he observed the slaughter that was underway, as his body began to glow. "But I've got more stops to make." He then departed Urian's body, just as a pair of knights approached him.
Back in the present, Johnny reappeared. "Wow, talk about perfect timing.", Marina noted. "We were just discussing whether you and the others would be as easily reminded."
"As it turns out, we're all very easy.", Johnny answered her. "I'm guessing they hadn't expected anyone to retrieve time displaced people." He then noticed a particular absence. "Where's Jeremy?"
"He left about two minutes ago.", Lenny answered. "If we're going to face that guy, we'll probably have to do without him. But we've been doing fine in that regard."
Suddenly, the next photo began to combust. "It seems we're about to see another retrieval.", Metal Alice noted. "But who?"
England, 1880.
Martha Holloway had been called to her mistress, Lady Caroline Cholmondeley's side by the ring of a bell, and was courteous enough to knock on the door. "Enter."
Martha complied, entering the room. She was nervous, being a beginner maid called in to serve one of the most wealthy spinsters in London Town, after most of the previous staff had left with the woman's son to fight in or serve as medics in South Africa. "You wanted to see me, Ma'am."
"Yes, Martha.", the Lady Caroline said quietly. Martha noted that her voice carried a strong worldliness to it, which she expected from a woman of 70 years. "Ever since my husband slipped this mortal coil and my daughter departed with her new husband, I have felt a great loneliness. Not even the presence of my son could alleviate it, hence why I'm very keen to choose at least one member of the staff to serve as my confidante."
Martha was intrigued. "So, with your current companion preoccupied fighting the Boers, you want me to take over the position?"
"Well, you and Jenkins the footman.", Lady Caroline answered her. "You two are the only members of the staff who were unable to serve in the war effort. It wouldn't be fair to exclude one of you. In fact, send for him at once."
"No need, m'lady.", Jenkins said as he wandered into the room. "I've been listenin' in. And I 'ave to say, your offer is might tempting. But before I can accept…" A flash then overcame him, as Luke took control of Jenkins. "I have something to give to my fellow staff member."
Martha was taken aback by this. "But sir. I already have a sweetheart back in Blackburn. I can readily accept." 'Jenkins' then removed a white box with a large number 5 on it. "But that box… it seems familiar somehow." She reached out and touched, it, causing Tora to regain her memories. "Luke, what are we doing here? And in these outfits?" She then turned to Lady Caroline, or as she and Luke saw her "Grandma Rose?"
"That name.", Lady Caroline said as she clutched her head. "I've… heard it before." She then had her eyes flash, as Grandma Rose regained control. "I didn't realise that those Hunters had a member who was a Dickens fan."
"More like one with time travel powers.", Luke corrected her, as she and Tora started glowing. "Don't worry, you're just returning to the present. The others will explain any questions you have." As the real Martha and Caroline fell unconscious, Luke noticed himself glowing green. "5 down, one to go. At least I'm getting closer to the present." The. The real Jenkins fell unconscious as Luke left his body.
And back in the present, Tora and Rose reappeared in the zoo house. "Okay, I was told I'd be given an explanation once we got back to the present.", Rose began.
"You've been sent back in time by a monster, brought back to the present by Luke.", Marina answered her. "With this, all we've got left is Trunks."
"And with any luck, it should only be a couple of seconds until he shows up.", Johnny continued.
Russia, 1916.
In a hovel on the grounds of Tsar Nicholas's palace, a pair of royal guards entered to talk with the occupant. "Brother Grigori Rasputin.", one of them stated. "Prince Felix Yusupov requests that you meet him at a formal dinner tomorrow night."
"Oh.", the man known to history as Russia's greatest love machine and the lover of the Russian Queen (neither of which were particularly factual) responded. "Yusupov has long accused me of dark magic for my close relationship with the Tsarina and my success with treating the young prince's illness. Why would he want to talk to me now?"
"I am sure that he wishes to renounce his accusations, at the advice of his Tsar.", the other guard suggested. "I don't know, the two of us are just the messengers."
"Perhaps I could do a better job of persuading the Tsar's honoured guest.", another guard stated as he entered. "You may go." The two complied and left the room.
Rasputin's response to this was to spit. "What could you offer that could change my mind on this matter?"
"Nothing much.", the other guard said, as he took a black and green box numbered with the Latin '4' out of his tunic. "Merely this."
As Rasputin touched the box, Trunks' true consciousness reawakened. "The Elephant Zord!", he gasped. "How did that end up here in the past? And for that matter, how did you, Luke?" Luke was surprised by this reaction. "Oh don't be too surprised, the level of technology and the fashions made it obvious we were in the past."
"Basically, that Hunter's lens was made of a time travel rock, that the Cubezords energised to bring me to each of you who were displaced.", Luke answered, before both he and Trunks dissipated, leaving behind two very confused Russian men.
And in the present, Luke and Trunks reappeared. "Well, that's everyone.", Lenny noted.
Luke gasped for breath. "Boy, I know I was time travelling, but that felt like a long time."
"Actually, it was just a few minutes.", Metal Alice informed him.
"Fascinating.", Trunks noted. "It seemed that time was moving faster in the past, than it was in the present due to a dilation effect of some kind."
"Let's not try to figure out how it works.", Johnny sighed. "Let's just get that camera freak to come out, so we can kick his butt."
Up on the Arrowhead, Lense got up off Ignoblia's operation table, good as new. "In addition to finding a similar enough silicate to repair your camera, I've implanted a coin slot in case the remaining Rangers defeat you."
"They won't defeat me.", Lense assured her. "I'm just as capable in a fight as I am at using my abilities." He then proceeded to teleport away.
"Hopefully, he doesn't make it.", Ignoblia commented now that she was alone. "That way, I'll still have the chance to put my true goals into effect."
Down on Earth, Jeremy had finished his walk in the woods. "Well, I think I've figured out that there's nothing special about where the Link Cube needs to be.", he noted. "That means I can check in on Lenny and Luke."
"Yes, that's right.", Cuborg commented from nearby. "Lead me to the Rangers' base and allow me to take out the rest of the Rangers." As Jeremy continued on, Cuborg followed on, making loud noises due to the clunkiness of his current slow movement.
Fortunately, Jeremy head these noises and threw a feather at his pursuer. "You must be Cuborg.", he commented dryly. "So Archris sent his pet tin can robot to try and take us out."
"Oh, I'm much more than a mere robot.", Cuborg laughed as he drew out his sword. "Sure enough, as Jeremy took out his Morpher to fight, he noticed that it seemed to be reacting to his foe. "As you can see through your Morpher, I'm giving off some very strong primal power, of the kind only you're pathetic species gives off."
"Primal Spirits, Awaken!" Jeremy morphed and swung his Chain Saber into Cuborg. "What are you?", he asked.
"You won't live long enough to find out.", Cuborg said mockingly as he knocked Jeremy back, beginning the fight in earnest.
In the town, Lense teleported in, scaring everyone off. "Come on out, Rangers.", he declared. "You won't stand a chance against my all new state of the art camera. Your doom is nigh."
"Wild Blast!" Shots came through the air and hit the camera, causing the main body of the camera to explode off Lense's shoulder. "That'll stop him from taking any more pictures.", Trunks noted.
Lense was shocked by this. "No, that's not possible? How did you pull your friends out of the past?"
"You shouldn't underestimate the bond between us and our Cubezords.", Luke answered him. "It's one that has a power that transcends time. Well, with the aid of some Chronium, but I digress. It's time we took you down." He took out his Hunter Morpher and pressed the button, before turning to the Alligator face. "Predator Spirits, Awaken!"
The others then took out their Wild Morphers. "It's Morphin' Time!" They pressed the morph button, before selecting their respective numbers. "Primal Spirits, Awaken!" They then formed the Wild Fury logo, completing their Morphing into the Rangers.
Now fully morphed, Johnny led the Rangers in a roll call. "Wild Fury Eagle Ranger!"
Marina: "Wild Fury Shark Ranger!"
Lenny: "Wild Fury Lion Ranger!"
Trunks: "Wild Fury Elephant Ranger!"
Tora: "Wild Fury Tiger Ranger!"
Luke: "Wild Fury Chimera Ranger!"
"Power Rangers Wild Fury!"
Lense was now angry. "I'll teach you what happens to those who wreck my camera." He summoned up the trident the Rangers sans Luke had seen his copy use before. "Painfully."
"Yeah, we'll bring it on then.", Johnny stated as he rubbed his hand against his helmet. A fight then broke out, with Lense swinging his trident at Luke, who knocked it back, before turning to the others. Johnny ran in to try and block the weapon, but was knocked aside.
Luke then became the target of the trident. "I shouldn't have let you get a shot in earlier.", Lense snarled. "You ruined everything."
"Suck it up.", Lenny called out as he leapt in to grab the trident, swinging over and using it to strike Lense with his claws. He then grabbed the trident. "Your turn, Luke."
"Right.", Luke responded as the pair thrust the trident into Lense, knocking him down.
The other 4 then leapt over to Lense on all fours, grabbing and throwing him into the air. "Have a nice flight.", Trunks said as they did so.
He then landed on his own trident, which Luke used to send him spinning. "Wow. This is a great view.", he commented. "If only I had a camera."
"Quickly, while he's distracted.", Johnny urged as he summoned the Whale Morpher. "Primal Evolution!"
"Right.", Marina, Trunks and Tora said as they summoned their special weapons. The 4 then launched their attacks simultaneously.
"Owlerang!"
"Zebra Baton!"
"Penguin Blaster!"
"Super Primal Blow!"
All of these shots hit Lense, wounding him critically. "What a photo finish.", he called out before exploding.
But no sooner had Johnny reverted to normal did Ignoblia appear. "Looks like you weren't able to capture the Rangers. Let me fill up your stock." She inserted the growth coin into the slot on his left shoulder.
As she teleported out, Lense grew to giant size. "Wow, now I can get a bigger landscape.", he called out.
"Let's put a cap on this guy.", Luke stated as everyone held out their Zords. "Cyber Cubezords, Roll Out!"
"Cubezords, Enlarge!"
"Zords, combine!" The main 9 Zords appeared, assembling into two Megazords. "Hunter Megazord, ready!"
"Jungle Beast Megazord, ready!"
Lense ran in to fight both with his trident. "You've ruined my shot.", he growled as he swung the weapon. "My shot at being number one." He soon gained the advantage in the fight, managing to knock the Hunter into the Jungle Beast, sending both backwards.
In the cockpit of the latter, everyone was sent stumbling backwards. "Man, who knew this guy was so determined?", Tora asked.
"Probably him, since he did say he was almost number one.", Luke answered. "We need to stop him from moving." Lense sent a tornado towards the Hunter, which blocked the attack. "I'm not going to Oz.", he declared as he channeled his energy to disperse the tornado. He then launched his own attack. "Alligator Tongue Hold!"
Lense found himself wrapped up quite literally. "Well, I'm stuck in this pose.", he commented meekly. Sure enough, the Jungle Beast then unleashed several strikes with the Savage Saber, knocking him down.
"He's down.", Marina pointed out. "But he's not out yet."
"Right.", Johnny nodded. "Let's go for it, Luke."
"You've got it." Luke pressed the button on his Hunter Morpher 3 times before selecting all 4 faces in sequence. "Predator Megazord, Super Formation!"
"Zords, combine!" The 2 Megazords became one. "Predator Megazord, ready!"
Lense had managed to break free from his restraints at this point. "What a colourful subject.", he commented. "I should take a picture for posterity."
"It'll last longer than you.", Johnny said as he inserted his and Luke's Morphers into the control weapon.
"Predator/Prey Extinction!" The Predator then extended its blade right into Lense's chest.
"Hey, I'm supposed to give the cues.", Lense cried out as he exploded.
"Top of the food chain!", everyone declared as they stood triumphant.
Elsewhere, Cuborg tried to strike Jeremy, but was blocked by a clash of swords. "This planet only has a few days left. But you'll only have minutes."
"I doubt that.", Jeremy said as he stepped on Cuborg's sword. "Let's see how tough you really are." He then swung his Chain Saber.
"No ya don't.", Cuborg announced as he raised his sword, knocking Jeremy to the ground, before moving to kick him.
After this, Jeremy got up to continue the fight. "What's that about Earth not having more than a few days?", he asked as Cuborg hit him twice in succession.
"That's when Archris will trigger Operation: Contamination.", Cuborg answered as he grabbed Jeremy and threw him aside. "That's all you'll get."
"Thank you.", Jeremy said as he extended his Chain Saber to wrap around Cuborg's arm. "Raptor Ravaging Revolution!" He pulled the sword away at high speed, causing Cuborg's arm to be destroyed, before launching another attack at the central cube. "Now I just need to see if I can analyse how he he resurrects."
Cuborg's arm proceeded to reconstruct itself. "You'll regret that." He called forth his sword and launched his own attack. "Doom Barrage!" This attack knocked Jeremy back with enough force for his Cubezords to fall down, amidst the fragments of his body. Cuborg's chest then reconstructed itself. "I think I'll let you live until the end after all." He then turned and teleported away as Jeremy pulled himself up.
Jeremy then checked the ground, noticing that his Cubezords were now gone from where they had fallen. "No.", he said quietly, realising that he had partially given Archris what he wanted. But he also noticed a fragment of Cuborg had escaped the reconstruction. "Don't worry, guys. I'll get you back. And this might be the key to doing so."
The Rangers had meanwhile gone out to a library, having been told by Luke of the historical figures they had been implanted in, to look them up. Well, all except two. "Now I'm wishing that I got sent back.", Lenny pouted. "Then I could do some reading like the others."
"I don't even need to read.", Johnny said. "I'm pretty sure anyone who knows anything about King Arthur knows who Mordred was. I can't believe that I ended up being him."
"Well if it had t been for me, you'd be stuck as him.", Luke pointed out. "Good thing you've got a reliable big bro to bail you out."
"Hopefully, with the Chonium on Earth having been destroyed, we'll never go through that again.", Johnny sighed with relief. They then noticed that the others were getting surprised with what they were reading.
"HOW was Rasputin supposedly killed?", Trunks gasped.
"Wow, she was a really good schemer when it came to cementing power.", Marina noted of Cleopatra. "I think I like her more now."
Tora on the other hand was depressed. "From what I can turn up, Martha Holloway didn't make much and ended up dying of typhoid a few days into her job. The only reason her story is remembered was due to her sister's daughter being told the story and using it to write a best selling novel."
"Well I think we've all learned that sometimes history can be disappointing or surprising.", Trunks surmised. "But it's never boring if you know where to look for it."
