A few days go by and it's now the weekend. Ace shows up at Graham and Ryan's flat to walk with them to Yaz's parents flat. "Hello," Yaz's mum says as she opens the door to watch Ace and Graham drop hands. "Come on in and no need to stop holding hands on our account, it's nice to see new love somewhere," her mum says that loudly so both her daughters can hear it. The three who knew Yaz is going through what can be equated to a break up looks to Yaz who has come to the entryway.

"Hey, Ryan, Graham and Ace."

"Hey Yaz," the three say in unison.

Everyone moves to the kitchen to meet everyone else in Yaz's family. "Yaz, I thought you would be bringing that one young friend of yours."

Yaz looks to the three who know what happened, Ace having to explain the Doctor to her brother and friends back home knew kind of what to say, "she had to go home and help out a dying family member and wanted to do it alone. Before she left she made sure Graham and I met."

"You knew the Doctor," Yaz's mum asks.

"There were times when I was a teenager, I was taking care of her." Yaz, Ryan and Graham try to stifle some laughter, knowing how true it is that they all took care of the Doctor. Only Ryan knows what Yaz is ready to tell her family tonight. She needed the support of her friends there when she finally told her parents the truth of who she is.

"Mum, Dad, Sonja, Nan, I have something important to tell you."

"What is it?"

"I am into girls."

Ace smiles at her. "I knew," her Nan says, "I saw the way you looked at her. I knew it was the look of love. Kind of like these two," she gestures between Ace and Graham.

"What?" Ace and Graham say together.

"Still newly together, are you," Umbreeme, Yaz's Nan asks.

"About a month."

"They spend most of their freetime together." Ryan adds.

"You two make a handsome couple."

"Thank you." Everyone goes back to waiting, they finish their meal, Ace, Graham and Ryan leave after a while.

"Ace," Graham asks while walking back to the flat.

"Hmm?"

"Do you want to come over for a bit?" Ryan stops secretly wanting some time with his Grandad.

"No, I think I should go home," she says as they stop at the stairs.

"Ok, mind if I walk you to your car?"

"I would love that." They smile.

"I will be right up Ryan."

"Ok," Ryan is planning to leave again and wants to tell Graham.

"It was fun tonight."

"It was," Ace and Graham are leaning against her car, Graham moves closer and cradles Ace's cheek in his right hand and brings their mouths together in a tender kiss. "Text or call me when you get home."

"I will," Ace looks deep into his eyes and smiles, she leans into him and gives him another kiss. After they break, "good night Graham."

Smiling, "goodnight."

Meanwhile upstairs Yaz is just sitting staring out the window hearing her parents and nan fight about her. Yaz gets up from her spot and decides to take a walk. She tries to not pass by Graham as he himself is walking back to his flat.

Graham walks into the flat to see Ryan sitting on the couch, "what is going on?"

"I was approached by Kate to do an overseas assignment."

"Do you not want to do it," Graham sits across from him.

"I want to do it, more than I have wanted to do anything for a while."

"Then do it, you need to be happy too."

"I am just promise wait to get married to Ace until I get back," Graham sits back.

"We are not anywhere near getting married yet."

"Yaz's Nan is right, you love each other, you look at her in a similar way you looked at my Nan."

"I."

"It's ok, I am glad to see you happy."

"Thank you, are you happy?"

"I am."

"That's good." There is a knock on the door, Graham gets up to open it and sees Yaz trying to hold back tears, "Ryan put on some tea and put something strong in it. Come on in Yaz." They move into the room.

"Only my Nan supports me."

"What do you mean?"

"As soon as the three of you left, they started screaming at the other about my announcement tonight."

"I'm sorry."

"I don't know about my sister."

"I am sure she supports you."

"I guess I mostly have my found family."

"You will always have Ryan and I."

"I know," Yaz lays her head on Graham's shoulder as she starts to cry. Ryan enters the room with a cup of tea for Yaz and heads back for his and Graham's tea. "I don't want to stay here."

"Want me to see if Ace has some room?"

"Not tonight, I just want to crash."

"I will take the couch."

"No Graham, I will, I don't want to push you out of your bed. Ryan, before you even think about it, no." Ryan shrugs.

"Ok you can have the couch."

"Thank you Graham."

"Anything kid." Graham's phone goes off, "that must be Ace, I asked her to inform me when she got home, mind if I tell her?"

"Go ahead." Graham picks up the phone and heads to his room.

"I'm home."

"I'm glad," Ace can tell that there is something off with his voice.

"Why do you not sound like you are?"

"I am glad that you are home safe, it's just that after we left, Yaz's parents and Nan were fighting about Yaz coming out."

"How is she?"

"Not doing well, she is sleeping on our couch tonight, not letting one of us switch with her for the night."

"Tell her starting tomorrow she can have my spare room. I assume she just wants to crash tonight."

"She does."

"I will let you go and be with her, give her my love."

"I will, Ace?"

"Yes?"

"You are amazing."

"I think you are amazing too, night Graham."

"Night Ace." Graham hangs up and heads out to the living room to see Ryan heading to his bedroom.

"Yaz is asleep."

"Good, tomorrow while her family is at church we should help her pack a bag."

"Is she going to be staying here?"

"No Ace has a spare room."

"You know they might come by here when they figure out she isn't coming home."

"I don't care, I will protect Yaz."

"I know. What I was thinking is you spend more time over there for a short while."

"When are you leaving?"

"Monday, she just approached me about it."

"Oh."

"Yeah, I already started packing."

"Do you know what you are doing?"

"No, she said it was top secret."

"She might not want you to tell me anything, according to Ace and Tegan that sometimes she has someone go dark."

"How often does Ace go dark?"

"She can't go dark."

"Why?"

"Her foundation. Need some more help packing?"

"I would like that," they spend a few hours packing then go to bed.
