Chapter 2: Kart Racing
*Interior Excitebike Arena*
The day of the first race has arrived. Twelve racers are lined up at the the starting line in the Excitebike Arena for first race in a series of four the winner will get a trophy and a personal challenge is on the line between Daisy and Luigi. Whoever scores better in the series overall gets the win. Competing along side Daisy and Luigi for the series are: Mario, Yoshi, DK, Bowser, Rosalina, Toad, Wario, Waluigi and Koopa Troopa and Isabelle. The characters are split evenly between driving carts and riding bikes. Daisy is ridding the Mach bike and Luigi is driving the Pipe Frame with slim tires and gold glider. Rosalina has the Flamer bike to name a few.

The Light changes from red to yellow and then finally blinks green and with that the race begins. Luigi had started in the back of the pack and charges up towards the middle of the pack and now sits 7th Daisy started 6th and now sits 3rd. Yoshi is currently leading at the halfway point though the first lap. Daisy is in 2nd. She has charged up the ranking after hitting Peach and DK with green shells while her third shell misses, Daisy is now about 15 seconds behind. Mario is 3rd with Luigi 4th and Toad 5th. The mayhem continues for the next two laps with bombs and shells flying, piranha's bitting people racers turning into bullets and other crazy weapons are being used including lighting which Toad (who's currently 11th) uses. As Luigi starts the last lap he's right behind Princess Daisy. This is the first time Luigi has seen Daisy during the race. They gave each other a quick wave and Luigi pulls up to the left of her. Luigi and Daisy each have no weapons at the moment. They approach a speed boost ramp and Luigi keeps speed and watches Daisy in the air he happens to catch a quick view of her rear in her white suit with yellow accents. Luigi's sweats a little as he sees this and then quickly looks away. He tells himself to focus. "I have to focus no hocus pocus." he considered to himself as he continued to put the pedal to the metal. The two racers finally get item question marks immediately after the land. Daisy gets three mushrooms while Luigi got three green shells. Daisy quickly used one mushroom and waited a bit.
As Daisy waited Luigi tried to keep up as best he could and then he threw his shell but missed narrowly to the left. She then used her second mushroom. "Damn it. She has to have a third. I have to get her before she makes the last turn" Luigi judged in his head. He quickly fired his renaming shells but they both missed by a mile. One missed to the left while the other missed to the right. Daisy was a blur now. He could only hear bike speeding off into the distance. Luigi quickly realizes he has not seen seen any racers for quite a while and summarizes he must be a good deal ahead of the other racers. In the distance he hears the crowd cheer as Daisy zoomed through the finish line. Daisy smiled and gave the crowd a big wave. After a while Luigi finally reached the finish line. He didn't see Daisy so he got out of his kart and started walking forward for a bit. Then suddenly he saw Daisy leaving a small crowd of toads who were congratulating her. Luigi runs up to Daisy. He takes her in a passionate embrace and kisses her. After a moment Luigi playfully tackles her to the ground and Luigi is now lying on top of Daisy. Luigi then quickly started to make love to her right then and there in the middle of the arena! Luigi was propelling on top of her.
*Suddenly the camera pans to Luigi alone in his bedroom *
*Luigi is wearing no shirt and has on green boxer briefs*
Luigi slowly wakes up to find his body in the middle of thrusting forward and his gun is firing. Luigi realizes it was all a dream and gives a small moan. As his gun finishes discharging he thinks about how he can't wait for princess Daisy to return. Daisy is currently away in Sarasaland on royal business. She's been gone for a week already and is due back late tonight. It was all related to importing, exporting goods and tariffs on said goods; and trade route agreements being modified. All of this was with a nearby country to Sarasaland that Luigi couldn't pronounce. It was all legal stuff and Luigi didn't understand some of it. To him the important thing was Daisy was finally coming back tonight and he couldn't be happier that she was. In two days the first race of the four race kart series would finally begin.
*Two days later*
*Friday afternoon*
*Inside of the large plane hovering over the top of Mount Wario*
The real start of the race has finally arrived. This time the race was no dream. Luigi and Daisy decided to put all the course names into a bowl on sheets paper just like the challenges. Then they would pick the races one by one after they raced them. The first one Daisy selected yesterday after dinner was Mount Wario. The racers (who were also selected by random drawing) competing alongside Daisy and Luigi for the series are Mario, Yoshi, DK, Bowser, Rosalina, Kamek, Wario, Waluigi, Koopa Troopa and Isabelle. Eerily enough almost the same lineup that Luigi had dreamed up save for having Kamek instead of Toad. The racers are lined up in a large plane hovering over the top of the mountain. The racers rev their engines as the race is almost set to begin. The characters are split evenly between driving carts and riding bikes. Daisy is ridding the Mach bike and Luigi is driving the Circuit Special with slim tires and waddle wing glider. Bowser is lined up to the left of Peach after the drawing for kart placement.. "Peaches peaches peaches peaches!" Bowser sang to Peaches as she rolled her eyes at him and looked away from him. Luigi starts in 8th and Daisy starts in 6th.

The Light changes from red to yellow and then finally blinks green as Latiku finishes counting. With that the first race finally begins. All the racers drive off the ramp before landing on a path at the summit of the mountain. Everyone starts jostling for position. After a few icy turns some which are bisected the course enters a cave and the racers have reached their first checkpoint. This course is divided into three sections rather than laps. Early on Koopa Troopa is leading with Kamek in second, Rosalina in third Daisy is in fourth and Luigi is currently in sixth so he's in the middle of the pack. In the second section everyone begins to get their first items if they haven't already. Luigi gets the small ramp at the start of the second section and makes up some ground. Rosalina hits Kamek with a red shell and passes him and swiftly moves into second place. Luigi uses some back draft speed and handling to pass DK and hits Bowser with a green shell. By the start of the third and final section Rosalina is leading after using ome mushrooms and hitting a couple of pursuing racers. Daisy is in second, Wario is in third and Luigi is fourth but he's gaining on Wario. Luigi navigates the slalom with a deft touch taking the shortest routes at all times and getting every boost he can.
After a few more turns they've entered the final gravity section. Rosalina is still leading with Daisy and Luigi close behind. Luigi finally comes up alongside Daisy for the first time during the race. They give each other a quick nod. Luigi then maintains his focus and gets a mushroom from a question mark and zooms past Daisy. He then comes neck and neck with Rosalina as they enter the homestretch. It's a photo finish they check the replay and it's Luigi by a nose with Rosalina in second, Daisy in third, Wario in fourth and Peach rounds out the top five. Luigi had done it and he has won the first race. As Luigi goes across the finish line he wonders where Daisy is when suddenly he feels a warm hug and knows who it must be. "Way to go Weegee!. That was a great race!" Daisy applauded as she gave Luigi a kiss and squeezed him tight from behind.
"Thanks yeah that was very close. It went better than I had dreamed ha ha". Luigi blushes a bit as he remembered how Daisy had won in his dream. Luigi then shook that from his head to put it out of his mind. "Something wrong?" Daisy pondered while standing next to him. "Nope everything is a ok". Luigi reassured as he give Daisy a thumbs up with his right hand. "Well now it's on to the next race. How's Sunday sound? Daisy questioned. "Sounds great!" Luigi smiled.
*That night Luigi picked the next course out of the bowl and it was Hyrule Circuit.* "Oooh Hyrule. I've never been have you?" Luigi perused. Daisy shook her head and admitted "nope I haven't either.
*Sunday Afternoon*
*Exterior Hyrule Circuit*
The day of the second race has arrived. The 12 racers lined up in Hryule field for the start of the race. The imposing Death Mountain with its trademark smokestack can be seen towering over the trees to the south of the course. All the racers are lined up in the order in which they finished the previous race. Peach is happy Bowser finished 10th and is not positioned next to her this time so she doesn't have to listen to any of his annoying singing or comments. The racers once again begin reviving their engines as the race is almost set to begin.

Luigi mistimes the start and his tires screech and he's passed by several racers. "Momma Mia!" he cried as he faded back into seventh place. The melody of Zelda song begins as the racers begin fighting for position. Luigi starts getting some rupees to increase his speed. Luigi doges a Deku Baba as he gets a bullet boost and gets up to fourth place while a nearby Isabelle is hit by a keese which flies into her hair. "Ahh it's in my hair. Get out, get out!" she shrieked. After the bat finally flew away she drops from sixth to tenth place. After going through several ramps Luigi makes it into Hrylue castle. The next instant Daisy has just hit Rosalina with a red shell and takes the lead. Yoshi is in second, Rosalina drops into third, Luigi is in fourth, Kamek is fifth and Mario rounds out the top six. Suddenly towards the back of the pack Koopa Troopa gets a bullet boost and climbs past Mario to take sixth. In last place Boswer picks up lighting and everyone else gets really tiny for a brief moment.
By the end of the first lap Daisy is leading, Rosalina passes Luigi by hitting him with a red shell and Luigi drops back into fourth place. Koopa Troopa sneaks into third place. Mario is in fourth place. Yoshi is now in fifth place after slipping on a banana peel and getting hit by Rosalina's green shell. Luigi gets a blooper and everyone else gets ink instead of mud in their eyes and can't see. Koopa Troopa gets hit by a stray green shell ands crashes into a wall. Luigi promptly uses a mushroom from a question mark and gets some rupees to keep up speed with the others. Later as Luigi just enters the castle he hears Daisy who's still leading activating the three crystals that open up the dash panel ramp before the Master Sword. Daisy jumps into the sword and gets a massive boost. "Yay!" Daisy hooted as she took a massive lead. By the start of the third lap Daisy was way out in front, Rosalina is in second Luigi is third, Mario is fourth and Yoshi is still clinging to fifth place although he periodically trades places for it with DK as they frequently trade shells, bananas, bombs and other assorted weapons.
Luigi is right behind Rosalina on her Flame bike as she stifles his many attempts to pass her. He finally passes her on a turn and hits her with a red shell he picked up. Rosalina returns the favor to Luigi by bopping him with a green shell. Rosalina takes second place back from Luigi. As they enter the castle featuring the master sword in the center Luigi is still third and he knows Daisy is still way out in front and hopes he can at least pass Rosalina to take second in this race. Luigi and Daisy are neck and neck. At that moment Yoshi who is currently in fifth gets a blue flying shell which he launches toward the leader Daisy. The shell hits Daisy soon after.
*Camera pans to Daisy as the shells comes up behind her and hits her*
Daisy cried out as she was hit and fell to the ground and dropped some coins in the process. She rapidly jumped back on her bike and took just brief moment to get moving again. No one was close enough to even think of passing her.
*Camera pans back to Luigi*
Luigi exits the castle and uses a dash mushroom across the gate to cut off a turn and he finally passes Rosalina with the maneuver. They enter the home stretch and Daisy wins by a wide margin with Luigi in second, Rosalina is fairly close behind in third, Mario fourth, Yohsi is fifth and DK takes sixth. Daisy won the second race to tie things up at one a peace between her and Luigi. Luigi and Daisy shared another heartfelt hug and kiss after the race. Luigi commended Daisy on winning by such a wide margin after the race.
After winning the race Daisy selected the next race which ended up being the short track Baby Park which they raced the following night. The next night night Luigi would go on to win the race narrowly over Daisy. Peach took third, Rosalina was fourth and Mario rounded out the top five. Luigi is now up 2-1 against Daisy in race wins. Luigi selected the final track for the race and it's the SNES Rainbow Road. That's right the original Rainbow Road in all its glory with nothing to stop our racers from falling off the track and it's a long way down if you fall. The final race would be on Friday night.
*Friday Night*

All the racers are lined up at the starting line for the final race in the series. The racers rev their engines and lick their lips in anticipation of the final race. The cup is on the line and Luigi has an advantage over Daisy in the standings.

The final race begins. Peach times the count perfectly and gets a boost and passes Luigi and Daisy. Peach is currently in the lead with Luigi in second and Daisy in third. The racers battle for position as Bowser quickly falls off the track on the first turn and Wario laughs at him but he quickly falls off as well. Kamek gets a bullet boost to zoom from eleventh to sixth place. Walugi gets Bowser with a bomb and sneaks into 9th place. By the end of the lap DK falls of the map and drops from fifth to ninth. By the end of the first lap Peach still leads. Daisy and Luigi are trading blows but at the moment Daisy leads with Luigi close behind, Mario is fourth, Kamek is fifth and Waluigi has zoomed into sixth after taking out several racers with shells and bombs. Halfway through the second lap Luigi and Daisy both simultaneously hit by Thwomps. They quickly drop back to sixth and seventh respectively.
Later Luigi and Daisy start the final lap. Peach hasn't released her grip on the lead. Mario sits second but is a ways back. Waluigi is third, Kamek fourth, Luigi sits fifth with Daisy right on his ass. "I have to make up some ground I can't crap out in the final race". Luigi moaned to himself with a frown. Luigi gets a golden mushroom he uses judiciously when possible ad he carefully slows his speed going around the turns. He slows slightly on one turn and just narrowly misses going over the edge as he sees Isabelle falling off the track next to him. "Aaaah not again!" Isabelle bawled.
With his deft handling at the halfway point Luigi has crept up in the standings. Peach is leading, second is Mario, Luigi is third, Daisy is fourth. Walwuigi and Kamek are currently trading fifth place. They are throwing everything they can at each other but the kitchen sink. Wait Kamek has just thrown the kitchen sink at Walwuigi but he missed by a hair! "Where the hell did you get that from? I didn't know that was in the game!" Walwuigi gawked. "I have my ways" Kamek smirked. At the moment Waluigi is hanging on by a thread to fifth but Kamek is breathing down his neck he's hanging over him like a vulture. Kamek is hanging over him Waluigi like impending death.
Luigi approaches the final turn with three mushrooms he just picked up but Daisy is in hot pursuit of the plumber. Daisy fires her three red shells and wallops him back. Luigi shakes his head as he she pulls ahead. Luigi backs up to get more track. A few racers pass him but he doesn't care. Luigi then guns it and uses his three mushrooms to jump the gap in the turn and take the shortcut Luigi quickly meets up with Daisy and the two approach the final turn. The racers come to a quartet of Super Thwomps. They hear the crowd cheering in the distance as Peach crosses the finish line claiming an upset victory in the race as Mario finishes close behind her.
Now Luigi and Daisy are battling for third. Luigi takes a risk and slows a little. A confused Daisy slowly passes him. Luigi rides behind her to get her back draft and as they approach the finish line Luigi rides the boost inches past her at the last possible moment to steal second place right from the under the Princess. After a brief replay check the judges confirm that Luigi did in fact finish third. Daisy takes fourth, Kamek takes fifth and a disappointed Walwuigi takes sixth as the Kart Racing Series challenge comes to a dramatic conclusion.
Overall in the Kart Racing series Luigi takes first, Daisy second and Peach edges out Rosalina for third with her victory in the final race.
*Saturday afternoon Interior Luigi's living room*
Are competitors are sitting on the three cushion couch. In front of Daisy and Luigi sits the bowl full of challenges and the blind fold. Daisy hands Luigi the blind fold which he quickly puts on. Luigi mixed up the letters in the bowl with his right hand for about 10 seconds or so before taking out a piece of paper out of the bowl. He took the blind fold off and put it on the table. He then proceed to open the paper in her hand. The challenge was in Daisy's handwriting. "Tennis Match" Luigi approved with a grin. "We haven't played tennis in a while. This should be exciting" Luigi predicated. "Yes but I'm claiming the win here and taking back the lead in the contest" Daisy boasted with a confident grin. "Here we go again" Luigi snickered.
