Music Playing: "He Saved Me" by Norman Dück
As we looked for Memory, the younger girl, out of the blue, said, "I remember her holding me, once." Once again, her eyes were filling with tears, as she went, "She didn't just hold me once but I especially remember her holding me real tight." She then went onto say that she remembered her sister getting bruised but she doesn't remember much more that that. "I just want her to hold me again." She pulled out the sweater again and held it close, crying. It didn't take me long to fully realize that the sweater was the only thing she had of Memory's embrace.
"She was holding me, the last time I saw her." Ryuuko said, "I woke up and she was gone." She reiterated her point about her sister feeling warm and that it was cold outside. She was a strange mixture of sad and angry. We knew why. She was heartbroken that her sister left her without any explanation and angry because of the answers she needed. I did ask her what her other reasons were for looking for Memory, to which she said, "I wish my heart was whole again. It's broken and I want it fixed."
Mako explained that Ryuuko's felt more, as she could say, "incomplete". "She lost someone and she wants to find her. It's like being a puzzle without a piece and the piece is big." As she said this, she doodled a bit, illustrating a puzzle-like heart with a large chunk missing. When she finished it, she pointed to it, saying, "That's Ryuuko's being. It's like this."
Out of the blue, once again, Ryuuko commented, "Her arms. They were warm." Once again, she broke down crying, wrapping that sweater around her, as she cradled it close. Without missing a beat, Gamagoori led her somewhere to cry out her upsets and gather herself in private. Mako then told us, "Oh, she used to cry herself to sleep."
